• Kelly (3/5): - Our door to our room wouldn't lock meaning we couldn't leave our room. This was attempted to be fixed resulting in it locking but couldn't be unlocked so still couldn't leave :( a solution we suggested was a different room and we were told that couldn't happen

• Cath (7/5): - Great location Spacious room with balcony The bed wasn't great & housekeeping may have been having a bad day. Dishes drying on the bench, no coffee cups or kitchen cloth. Dripping showerhead and broken bathroom light. Nothing too major, just inconvenient. I have stayed before and its been excellent

• Leanne (10/5): Staff at front desk very helpful and understanding. Love being on the Esplanade with water view. - Location. Size of apartment. A few more frying pans to cook breakfast
• Fiona (1/5): Horrible. The noise from a nearby club was horrendous. - Staff, especially a lovely cleaner who got me more milk, when the receptionist wasn't available. Windows need ro be upgraded to block out the noise. I had one of the worst nights I've ever had at a hotel. Sad, considering I stayed there a few days prior, and had a lovely time, rating 8.

The staff at reception were very helpful with directions for some of the events . And thank the security officer stationed in the foyer on the day of departure for assisting hailing a taxi to the airport Could not find any negative aspect of my stay

• Melanie (9/5): Pleasant but lacking in a few essentials for a perfect stay - The proximity to centre of town and several restaurants and pubs. Also very near the seafront. The servicing of the room was never done during the week, however clean towels were supplied twice but no bed making/ cleaning / top up of coffee etc which we found very unusual.

• Julianne (6/5): Comfortable enough and great position - Pool was great, position excellent, lifts super fast, wifi excellent Dated rooms, balcony furniture worn and broken. Confusing directions as this was really part of the mantra complex go giving directions to taxi staff initially was tricky
• Axel (6/5): - Unfortunately the room we were in was very dated, especially the bathroom. It looks like it's from the sixties and never been renovated. The curtains hade partially come out of their tracks, due to damaged sliders. The lady at reception was very helpful and kind but totally overworked. She was part of the cleening team and therefore not available when needed. For what we got we feel the room was way too expensive.

• Axel (4/5): - The Hotel rooms are very dated, in partoicular the bathrooms. Curtains were off the rails, some of the sliders were broken. The shower/bathtub is slippery and the taps and shower head are really old. I would rate it as a 3 level Hotel and by far too expensive for what you get.
• Cara (8/5): Very good - The location was perfect for us to access the Wharf area and main precinct of Mitchell and Smith St. The room was so spacious. We were able to have a later check out at 12 midday. The staff allowed us to store our bags for 6 hours upon checking out. Maybe a second arm chair would have been good, would mean someone doesn't have to sit on the bed during the day.
• Herman (7/5): Recepcion difficult to reach, only one person. Mynext thing for booking are the taxi's from the airport to thetown. - Difficult to find! Not good indicated on google maps! Big room

Some bathroom features are a little tired but overall, rooms are large, you can use the Mantra pool and access to the Esplanade is great. Desk service was great: stored my luggage and gave me a towel so I could swim until checkin/room was ready. Desk staff friendly. Delighted to have a bath with my room. Some bowls and cutlery in studio rooms would be great. But otherwise, a good deal.

• Joy (9/5): Superb - Sean at reception was most helpful to us, at the beginning of our stay enabling us to relocate to a more suitable room, and also during the whole time of our stay.
• Sally (7/5): Okay but was expecting more. - Low-rise accommodation with some tropical landscaping. Good location. Did have laundry facilities but you had to pay. Staff were friendly and they have a very cute resident bird called pickles. Pretty basic motel accommodation. No tissues. Sheets were not high thread count. Smallish room. Foot traffic made it noisier than expected and one night people were talking loudly by the pool until 3 am. Obviously no staff on hand to shut them down.

The room was a good size, bed was comfortable and large, there were towels for bathroom and pool, and air con was helpful as we could feel the heat from outside the window. The person who eventually attended us at the desk was new to the job, and to Darwin. Hopefully she will have some time to acquaint herself with the local area as well as learning how to greet people.

• Julie (2/5): Disappointment - Bed was comfortable, great location and nice pool Told twice that there was free off-street parking. 13 slots for a hotel with 8 levels doesn't qualify . Might have bought parking space if I was told it's available.. Arrived at check in at 2pm & told room not ready. Returned 3:30, reception not manned. Rang the mobile and went to voicemail. Finally got in at 4pm, 2 hours late. Also was evacuated 3 times in 2 days for the fire alarm.
