• Jennifer (4/5): - Unschlagbar war die Lage fußläufig von der grossen Einkaufsstraße Ermou und den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten zB Akropolis, Agora, Museen, zahlreichen Restaurants, Bars, Supermarkt, Cafés, Markt, Shops, etc. Gute Ausstattung: Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, Spüle, eigenes Bad, Klimaanlage, TV (leider nur griechische Sender), Seife, Shampoo, Zahnpasta, Zahnbürsten, Badetücher, Hausslipper, Lift (4. Stock), vormittags war es meist sehr ruhig, die Lage erschien uns relativ sicher, wir hatten keine Angst überfallen zu werden, das Zimmer wurde gereinigt an uns übergeben, Schlüsselübergabe war unkompliziert, sehr guter Preis Kein Wasser (laut Vermieter durch Rohrbruch kein Wasser im ganzen Gebäude) für 2 Tage, dauernd Lärm durch Reparatur, dann nur kaltes Wasser, extrem laut durch die Bar welche sich den Innenhof teilt, täglich bis 3 Uhr morgens Bass, keine Schallisolierung und Ohrstöpsel reichen nicht aus, abgewohnt, Doppelbett sehr durchgelegen und muffige Decken die wir nicht benutzen wollten, modriger Geruch, kein WLAN (Provider existiert wohl nicht mehr oder Rechnung nicht bezahlt)

• Denise (1/5): PESSIMO - nulla,esperienza da DIMENTICARE. appena entrati abbiamo trovato sul tavolo della cenere di sigarette,le asciugamani già usate neanche piegate,la stanza sporchissima di capelli e polvere ovunque,l'intonaco del tetto cedente.. wi fi non funzionante,ciglia e cerume sulla federe del cuscino,ragnatele nella doccia del bagno,personale scortese, lampade non funzionanti, il giorno del check out siamo rimasti chiusi all interno della struttura da dei cancelli senza essere avvisati con il rischio di perdere il nostro aereo di ritorno,struttura NON reperibile..siete stati pessimi. ci avete rovinato la vacanza.
• Estefania (1/5): Malas condiciones - Nada. El alojamiento no se correspondía con lo anunciado. La habitación olía a tabaco cuando en teoria era para no fumadores, había humedad y moho, además de desperfectos visibles en el techo, estada descascarillado, lo que denotaba mal manrenimoento y mal estado general. Por otro lado, la limpieza y preparación de la estancia eran claramente insuficientes (cama mal acondicionada, toallas dejadas sobre la cama y colgadas en perchas que parecían húmedas y por tsnto usadas...). Intentamos contactar con el alojamiento sin obtener respuesta y tampoco se nos ofreció una solución alternativa. Finalmente tuvimos que abandonar el alojamiento inmediatamente y reservar otro por nuestra cuenta. En definitiva, la experiencia fue muy decepcionante y muy inferior a lo esperado según la información publicada. No recomendaría este alojamiento, especialmente por la falta de condiciones adecuadas y la ausencia de atención ante una incidencia tan grave.

• Liliane (4/5): Afrader - De locatie was ideaal. Op loopafstand van het centrum, in een zijstraat van de Grote Metropolitaan kerk. Ik heb tijdens mijn verblijf in Athene geen een keer het OV hoeven gebruiken. En hoewel niet gebruikt, bleek er een keukentje aanwezig. - Ik zou om 15:30 kunnen inchecken. Ik ontving pas om 16:08 de code voor het sleutelkastje. - De host reageert niet op berichten via Booking of SMS. De telefoon wordt niet opgenomen. - Het appartement bleek boven een bar/nachtclub te zijn (adres Thiseos 16 in Athene). Tot ongeveer 2 uur in de nacht is er luide muziek en gepraat van de bezoekers. - Op de tweede avond van mijn verblijf was er geen warm water in het gehele appartement. Ik heb de host een bericht hierover gestuurd, maar nooit een reactie gehad. - Loos onderhoud: afbladderende verf van plafond. WC blijft water stromen totdat je opnieuw op de doorspoel knop drukt. - Douche is zo gemaakt dat bij gebruik de vloer ernaast nat wordt - Nergens beschreven hoe ik moet uitchecken, ook geen reactie op een bericht hierover ontvangen. Hoe dat moest heb ik uit een eerdere recensie gehaald: sleutels terugplaatsen in sleutelkastje. Erg jammer, ik heb nog nooit gehad dat ik na een verblijf dacht "hier zou ik nooit meer terug willen komen"

• Johannes (10/5): Perfekter Aufenthalt – gerne wieder! - Wir hatten einen wirklich sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft war sauber, komfortabel und sehr gut ausgestattet. Besonders gefallen hat uns die ruhige Lage und die freundliche Atmosphäre. Der Gastgeber war sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit erreichbar, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Auch die Umgebung ist wunderschön und ideal zum Entspannen. Wir würden diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder! Wir hatten einen wirklich sehr schönen Aufenthalt. • Μαριος (2/5): Χαλια - Τιποτε ηταν χαλια Ο ιδιοκτητης δεν ανταποκρινοταν στα μυνηματα και στις κλησεις μου, δεν ειχε χαρτι τουαλεττας στο δωματιο και οταν στειλαμε μυνημα απαντησε απλα "αληθεια" να ενημερωσω την καθαριοτητα και μετα καμια ενεργεια καμια ανταποκριση, στο κρεβατι υπηρχε μονο απο πανω ενα σκεπασμα χωρις σεντονια, βρηκαμε σεντονια σε διαφορα χρωματα και ποιοτητες σε σακουλια σε ενα ραφι στο δωματιο και τα χρησιμοποιησαμε, οι πετσετες το ιδιο χαλια, η μπογια σε αρκετα σημεια του δωματιου ξεφυλισμενη, στο ισογειο του κτιριου λειτουργει μπαρ με υπερβολικα δυνατη μουσικη το βραδυ. Ενα απο τα βραδυα μεχριτις 3.30 τα ξημερωματα η μουσικη μας ειχε κυριολεκτικα τρελλανει πολυ κακη επιλογη διαμερισματος τελικα δεν το συστηνω για κανενα
• Μαρια Μαγδαληνη (5/5): - Το θετικό είναι ότι είναι κοντά το διαμέρισμα από το κέντρο σε δυο λεπτά με τα πόδια είσαι στην ερμού.Το προσωπικό κάτω ήταν πολύ φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό Τα αρνητικά ήταν ότι δεν είχε χαρτί τουαλέτας, βρήκαμε ένα παρατημένο σουτιέν κάτω από το κρεβάτι και το ταβάνι ήταν σε πολύ κακή κατάσταση.Το air condition με το ζόρι δούλευε ίσως καλοκαίρι να μην ήταν τόσο θέμα αλλά έκανε πάρα πολύ κρύο εκείνες τις μέρες που το κλείσαμε και το κρύο ήταν σίγουρα αρκετό.Εχει γκαραζόπορτα «που το βρίσκω επίσης αρνητικό» γιατί αν θες να γυρίσεις/έρθεις στο διαμέρισμα βραδινές ώρες ή ώρες που δεν έχει ανοίξει το μαγαζί από κάτω πρέπει να την ανοίξεις και να την ξανά κλείσεις.

• ATHANASIA (1/5): - Δεν παρέλαβα ποτέ τα κλειδιά της εισόδου του κτίσματος, με αποτελεσμα να μείνω έξω το δεύτερο βράδυ γιατί είχαν κλείσει τα ρολά της εισόδου καιι δεν είχα κλειδιά να τα ανοίξω. Θεωρώ απαράδεκτο να μην είχε προβλεφθεί από την πλευρά του οικοδεσπότη, να μου αφήσει τα κλειδιά της εισόδου. Αναγκάστηκα να κοιμηθώ σε άλλο κατάλυμα, το οποίο και πλήρωσα. Για τον λόγο αυτό, ζητάω τα χρήματα μου πίσω

L' ingresso esterno è inquietante...lanterne cinesi e fiori di stoffa che scendono impolverate dal soffitto, sgabelli accantonati da un lato, gatti ovunque che trovano il cibo messo lì apposta. L' appartamento è carino ma con vista muro e soprattutto non abbiamo trovato l' acqua calda...farsi la doccia fredda non è il massimo.

Ich habe erstmal die Haare der vorherigen Mieter zusammen gekehrt. Zudem waren Haare auf dem Bettlaken, Kopfkissen und auf dem Laken zum zudecken. Die Tagesdecke war leider nicht sauber, ein Handflächen-großer Fleck war nicht schön anzusehen.

• Miriam (6/5): Buena opcion solo para una noche - Muy céntrico, muy buena ubicación Nos alojamos un jueves en este hotel y el bar que hay justo en la entrada del edificio tiene mucho ambiente,desde la habitación se escucha muchísimo ruido. La cama es bastante incomoda y por ultimo,en el anuncio, pone que el check in puedes hacerlo a partir de las 17:30 pero no te dejan guardar la maleta en la hora de salida que es a las 11:30.

• Edmond (3/5): Very bad not even as low as expected - The location is great near everything and in a safe spot The communications with the owner is slim-to-none. We couldn’t reach them when needed. The wifi was down, the bed needs to be replaced very bad for back pain, the bed sheets are outdated and old, yellow stains on the pillows, they only gave us 1 toilet paper for 3 days, shampoo looks like from a 1 cent shop, and not to mention the ceiling has chipped paint all over. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The apartment was spotless and exceptionally clean, which immediately made me feel comfortable and at home. Every detail was well taken care of. The host was fantastic—super responsive and helpful. Anytime I had a question, they replied almost instantly, which made everything smooth and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the whole experience was seamless. Overall, everything was very, very good. I'm really glad I trusted my instincts and stayed here despite the earlier negative comments. I had a completely different (and much better!) experience, and I would definitely stay again. Highly recommend! Nothing negative to mention

The bed is really uncomfortable, the mattresses are uneven, and it didn’t have the proper sheets.
• Christina (1/5): Homeless for One Night – Unreliable Host & Poor Communication - Location, WiFi My experience with this accommodation was far from smooth, better to stay at a hostel; at least you’ll have a bed. I made a reservation, but the host did not accept the check-in time and was unresponsive to my calls and messages. I had to contact Booking to get a response from the host, who informed me that they couldn’t accommodate check-in at 7 PM and that the reservation would be canceled with a full refund. However, when I proceeded with the cancellation, the host never accept it. The next day, since I couldn’t make a new booking until the cancellation was confirmed, I contacted them again. After several calls and messages with both the host and another lady, I finally received check-in instructions—for 7 PM, the exact time they had refused the day before, despite the property offering self-check-in, meaning the host didn’t even need to be there. After my stay, I contacted the host regarding a partial refund, and they told me it would be processed through Booking. However, I am still waiting for any update, and now the host is no longer responding to my messages. The apartment itself is okay, but it has several issues: the ceiling needs repainting, one of the chairs was broken, there are no shutters, meaning sunlight comes in early in the morning, and most importantly, there is significant noise from the bars downstairs, especially at night. Additionally, the mattress was excessively soft, making it uncomfortable to sleep on, and the towels had a questionable smell. Also, there were no instructions for basic things in the apartment, such as how to get hot water or how to exit or enter the building when the shops downstairs are closed, as they pull down their metal shutters, blocking access.
• Eugenia (3/5): Not good - The room is located on top of a drinking bar and there is live music every night which makes it impossible to sleep, and it’s hard to locate the entrance of the rooms, they left the last guest’s trash in the room, the only apliances to cook that were a toaster and a water boiler were rusty and dirty, the water from the shower no matter what you do it always comes out cold, the good thing is the location because it’s located in the city center but it isn’t a good place to stay if you’re planning on staying for over 2 days

It's above a pub which makes it very noisy until 2 am. A bottle of water promised in the amenities was missing and wasn't provided in spite of informing the property.

A lot of noise without soundproofing windows. You have a lot to improve.

• Philip (5/5): Wouldnt stay here again - Location -This is a studio, not an apartment with 1 seperate bedroom -quite shabby, eg peeling paint on ceiling, kettle with broken lid -kitchenette is a sink, fridge, toastie maker, 2 sets of plates etc. Hardly well equipped! -loud music until early hours - wrong lock box code given to us. The man at the bar below spoke to the owner to get correct code. No contact from owner to apologise. Also would not send details until minutes before check in time despite being told I wouldnt have wifi. Had to spend money on mobile data only to be given wrong information!
• Saul (7/5): Nice, but could have been a little bit better. - The location was ok. The area seemed safe, plenty of people (mainly tourists), restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Close to the main spots in the city. There was too much noise from the pub(s) below. Sound isolation wasn't good at all. Check-in hour could be a bit earlier for people who arrive in the morning, like I did, or give an easy option to lock the luggage for a while at least. The bed/pillows were not that comfortable.
• Nearu (9/5): Superb - The location is central, close to the shopping street. The apartment is spotless, spacious, and well-equipped. The check-in instructions were clear. I'm not a light sleeper but I found it hard to sleep with the very loud music from the bar downstairs. The host could provide earplugs but I'm not sure if it would help. If you plan to go to sleep early, avoid staying at this place during the weekend (there was no loud music on Monday evening luckily). The building and hallway to the apartment are a bit dingy, but nothing to worry about.

• John (9/5): All ok but extremely noisey at night - Location couldn't be any better, clean and as new condition, spacious enough to feel at home in, lift good and in a safe area. Only one problem in the time we spent there..... Noise. It's perfectly quiet all morning and during the day and till maybe 10:00pm but after that it's party time. From about 10:00pm to 2:00am the pub/bar at street level plays loud modern music. And the what seems like a reception area next door plays mostly South American, Spanish or similar music. Don't get us wrong, I love music of any type, but when sound proof windows and doors aren't enough to keep the sound out, it becomes a problem.

• Laura (8/5): Very good - The location is very central and there’s a lockbox to arrive in a indépendant way. It’s quite noisy, there’s a bar close to the flat and you can hear it (even if you closed the windows) and next to the flat there were works, so it’s noisy too.

• Emmanuel (9/5): Superb - The room was very spacious with a large bathroom and a kitchenette, in a very vibrant and lively location of the city center. Great quality of bars and restaurants can be found in the direct vicinity of the property, too. The host has also been very clear and helpful with how to get the keys from the lock box. The area can be noisy at night.
• Lumsden (8/5): Great apartment however key/lock situation adds up to the stress of being on time - Fast internet, grate shower, aircon, tv Problem with taking key out of lock, shower screen didn’t prevent water splashing on the floor
• Elliott (8/5): Very good - Host was informative on how to gain access to keys and was straightforward accessing the property. The room is in a building which has a nice bar and didn’t have any issues. The building itself can at first look a bit dodgy but it’s safe and pretty quiet.

(9/5): Great Location - Helpful Host - Highly Recommended - Great location, it was very easy to reach the apartment and it is very near to the pubs, Ermou Street (for shopping), Monistiraki, and Syntagma Square. Everything you need is around you - Most of the touristic places can be reached by walking. It is just what you need for a short stay to discover and enjoy the city on a budget. The host is very nice, helpful, and friendly. He sent us the check-in details and the self-check-in was very easy. I forget my ID and money at the apartment when we checked out. the host sent us a message and he was very kind to meet us to give me back the items I forgot. I would definitely book again at Theo's Appartement when I come back to Athens. Nothing

• Fiona (9/5): Excellent value for money, great location, very comfortable and easy! - The location is amazing, right in the centre close to the shops and amazing restaurants and bars. the host was also very accommodating. The bar downstairs was a little noisy.
• Jo (9/5): Central apartment - It was exactly in the centre, 1 minute walk to Ermou and 5 minute walk to Syntagma and Monisteraki. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Great bathroom with good shower .Reliable host which sent photos of how to get into apartment. Needs another hook behind bathroom door for towels and also a couple more hangers for clothes. If you are a light sleeper beware because there is a bar downstairs.
• Antonio (4/5): Good location, but too noisy - The location of the room is quite good. The room was too noisy because just downstairs there is a pub and the music is quite load. So forget about sleeping until 3am. But the location was perfect. Also, the entrance is quite weird. The lift is in the pub, so you have to go through the pub.
