Guest Reviews
- Kym (10/5): We had the most incredible stay at Yarra Yering Homestead. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, luxurious, -
- Jamie (9/5): A relaxing, quiet break in the crisp fresh air of the Yarra Valley. - Large house, comfortable beds, huge and well-appointed kitchen, cosy living room, central heating. View of the beautiful Yarra Valley from the front of the house. To top it off, you can taste some of Australia’s best red wine at the Yarra Yering cellar door 50 metres up the gravel road! The negatives were so minor they are not worth reporting.
- Robert (9/5): -
- Craig (10/5): - The location is outstanding. The views are incredible. Good sized bedrooms.
- Andrea (9/5): - Perfect location for a Yarra Valley stay with a number of lovely wineries close by and easy access to Healesville. Beds were super comfortable and made up with quality linens and plenty of towels were left for our group of 8. The outdoor area was our favourite space with a fabulous large table and chairs and firepit for cooler nights in a lovely garden overlooking the vineyards. We were very happy with our choice.
- Tom (10/5): Peaceful - Everything, it’s such a beautiful property Nothing
- Alison (10/5): Incredible property in a beautiful setting. Superb. - Stunning location, immaculate property. We loved everything! There wasn’t anything not to like.
- Josephine (10/5): - Absolutely sublime accommodation and location. Amazing, modern facilities. House was huge and well laid out. Perfect for entertaining and also relaxing. Cannot think of anything we didn't like, or could be better.

- Ray (10/5): 100% Recommended Beautiful Stay! - Very beautiful and clean house with bonfire that you could start yourself to watch the millions of stars at night. It is just a short drive from the beautiful Stones of the Yarra Valley. Nearest supermarket should be Coles Healesville. Kitchen is well stock with all the utensils you need for bbq or cooking. There are fruits trees and grapes vine which were interesting for city folks. Ralph was very kind to allow us to check in at 12 noon so that we could offload our perishable items in the fridge first. We truly enjoyed our 2-night stay which was too short! Would recommend without hesitation for guests to stay here. Would be useful to provide dish scrub sponge. We tried using the automated dish washer but quite a number of the plates came out with stains remaining, so we have to handwash them again. Would also be useful to provide a few more pieces of big trash bags as the kitchen bin fill ups very fast with 10 pax using it (fortunately my husband bought along 2 from home). Would be good to install locks on the two shower rooms.
- Rita (10/5): - outside space and view, cleaned and comfy inside
- Sharron (10/5): Fabulous accomodation in beautiful surroundings. Wonderful host, great communication - A lovely house, beautifully furnished, imaculately clean.
We wished we could of stayed longer to enjoy more time in the pool, the outdoor area and fabulous views.
A good selection of teas & coffees/pods were provided and mini boxes of milk in fridge. Having a well equiped kitchen and two full sized fridges was fantastic for a large group.
Very comfy beds and pillows. Plenty of linen, extra pillows etc. Just a little something to be wary when driving into the carport if you have a vehicle with low clearance. Even though coming in slowly, we scraped the front underside of our car as there is a high point after the drain with very little clearance.
- Monica (10/5): A wonderful getaway for 3 generations of family , would highly recommend - Everything ! The setting was beautiful, the house spacious, pool a huge bonus especially for the 4 children
Lots of indoor and outdoor games and equipment, well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels and pool towels
Lots of outdoor space
Communication with Ralph was seamless Nothing
- Skye (10/5): Great for groups and families - Peaceful and private house just meters away from the Yarra Yering tasting room. Great pool and backyard for relaxing. Bedrooms are spacious and aircon works throughout. Perfect to groups of families. Ralph was responsive and easy to deal with. A bit dated, but added to the character of the house and everything worked the way it should. No issues at all.
- Renee (10/5): -
- Christina (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing location - The views and outdoor space were incredible. Beautiful sunsets and views over the vineyard which made for a perfect stay for our wedding weekend. The house had plenty of space and everything we needed and the perfect extra spacious wardrobe in the master bedroom.
- Kiri (9/5): -
- David (9/5): We'll be back someday - Everything A few things but we communicated it with the management whom were very responsive and appreciative.
- Bensam11 (10/5): Perfect Winery Stay Experience - The Homestead is a spacious 5 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms, a decent sized swimming pool that was partially shaded throughout the day, full sized kitchen with a Falcon oven and cooktop, 2 full sized fridges, a washer/dryer in the laundry, heating (2 fire places) and cooling throughout the whole house which was perfect for our summer stay.
Everything in the house was top notch and great quality which is rare to see in a holoday rental. It really made the property feel like a home. From the furniture and decor, towels, linens, crockery, cutlery, pans, pots, kitchen knives and even the Aesop handwash in the kitchen and powder rooms and Aesop body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms, the house has comfort in mind and a true home away from home!
There's also an abundance of board games in the house as well as outdoor sports equipment to take advantage of the open space with views of the vineyard, perfect to keep everyone entertained if not swimming in the pool.
The firepit was also a fave for our group, great for relaxing amongst the vines at night!
Ralph, who manages the Homestead, was very easy to deal with. He was really friendly and promptly responded to all my queries before and during our stay. It was actually lovely to meet him as we checked out and nice to put a face to the texts and emails. It was hard to fault our stay. We were very happy with the property!
- Sara (10/5): We didn’t want to leave - The location is absolutely stunning and the homestead is gorgeous. Very comfortable with everything you need provided. It’s a home away from home but better!
- Weikai (10/5): Amazing homestead within one of Yarra valley’s best vineyards. Easily accommodates 12 people. Excellent service. - Beautiful & spacious property with ample room for sleeping, cooking, dining & entertaining. Pool was dirty but Ralph did a fantastic job to help rectify it in time for us to enjoy it before we left.
- MICHAEL (10/5): A beautiful escape in the scenic Yarra Valley. - We had a fantastic time at the Homestead. House was immaculately presented, with great attention to detail. We particularly liked how the fires were pre-arranged, ready for lighting and the stock of facilities in the kitchen was impressive. Location is beautiful, the garden was great for the kids to run around. All in all we had a great time. Thank you! Nothing.

- Sue (9/5): Beautiful homestead amoungst the vines in Yarra Valley - Beautiful homestead in a fantastic location. Property was very well appointed with very good quality sheets and towels. Everything we could have needed was at the property. Kitchen was great and so were the bathrooms. We will definately be staying here again Nothing. We had no complaints at all
- winni (10/5): Comfortable & well equipped rooms - One of best accommodation we have stayed in Victoria, attention to details in everything. Peaceful, clean and quiet. We will definitely return:) Nothing
- Jula (10/5): The property was perfect and the communication from the owners was fantastic too. Easy to check in and out and no hassle - It was set up perfectly. They had everything ready to get the fire started and utensils in the kitchen. There were enough towels and space for everyone. It was clean and so well done.
Would recommend to everyone I know and will definitely be back with my family again! Nothing!
- Nicole (10/5): Perfect for a group friend trip to visit the wineries. The homestead is spacious & lovely! - Fabulous location amongst the vines and the homestead is beautifully appointed. It was lovely to come back to after exploring the Valley all day. Yarra Yering wines next door were incredible! Nothing!
- stanley (10/5): - You will feel like home. Everything is there nothing to complain about.
- Hayden (10/5): Stunning vineyard stay with snow nearby — the perfect winter getaway for our whole family. - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The perfect family getaway — scenery, snow & special moments
We had an incredible stay at Yarra Yering, made even more special by sharing it with our 17-year-old daughter and 20-year-old son. It can be tough to keep young adults engaged on a family trip, but this experience delivered in every way.
The location is breathtaking — sweeping vineyard views, mountain backdrops, and open skies that made every part of the day feel magical. Evenings around the firepit became a favourite ritual — relaxed, meaningful time together.
One of the biggest highlights was the easy access to Lake Mountain. A spontaneous snow trip gave us a whole new adventure — snowball fights, tobogganing, and laughs we’ll remember for years. The balance of downtime at the property and nearby activities kept everyone engaged and genuinely enjoying each other’s company.
The house was warm, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed. With close access to wineries, walks, and great food, it was the ideal winter escape.
Yarra Yering gave us the rare kind of family holiday where everyone was present, connected, and smiling. We’ll absolutely be back. Nothing
- Sally (10/5): Restorative place to spend winter solstice with friends. - Spacious homestead, in a lovely setting overlooking the vineyards, down to the mist in the valley and mountains ranges beyond. Sunrises and sunsets were both beautiful. Bedrooms were beautifully presented. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, even a slow cooker, perfect for winter solstice. Taking a cold plunge in the sparkling pool and warming by the fire-pit under the stars. Ralph was delightful in the booking process, happily accomodating requests and warming up the homestead prior to our arrival. We all said we’d love to stay again! Nothing to note!
- Josephine (10/5): Great large spaces for a big group - Suitable for large groups. There are 2 wings to the property. Nil
- Lynette (10/5): Great place for a family getaway. - The house is zoned with 2 bedrooms in one end and 3 in the other so it’s easy for parents with kids to stay in the same zone.
There are several different areas to sit in so you can have your privacy of you want it. My granddaughters were having a ball and were able to play without getting in the way of the adults.
Everything was clean and the house was warmed up before we got there, which was great given how cold it was this weekend. The owners are very easy to communicate with and very responsive.
We loved the fireplaces both the wood fire box in the kitchen and the gas fireplace at the other end.
The Aesop products were also a lovely touch.
It would have been wonderful if we had more time free for a longer stay… maybe next time.! Unfortunately, the weather was too cold for us to be able to enjoy the swimming pool.
- Heather (10/5): Magnificent, we‘ll be back. - Beautiful home in a stunning location. We had everything we could possibly need for a relaxing stay in this fabulous, clean and so well presented homestead The property was perfect!
- Cornelis (9/5): Comfortable, quiet country side accommodation with everything needed for a perfect family getaway -
- Adam (8/5): Fabulous facilities for all including the kids. Pool was great and location exceptional - Simple easy to follow instructions
- Brian (10/5): Quiet bliss, great views, ultimate relaxation - Great facilities, super clean, and wonderful hosts. N/A
- Nigel (10/5): Amazing property. Has a little bit of everything and the fruit orchards and outdoor seating over looking the vines was h - Clean, great facilities including the outdoor pool, fireplace, close to all of the best wineries. Everything was perfect.
