Guest Reviews
- Lise (8/5): - We were looking for a Motel close to the Wood Island Ferry. This looked like it fit the bill. Not so much.
Anyway, we made the best of it. It's a cozy hide away if that's what you're looking for. Clean, isolated in the back country of PEI. Really quiet and dark at night, you can see stars!
Located behind a fuel station and a convenience store. The local people are friendly.
- Darlene (10/5): - Very friendly family owned business hotel clean beds very comfortable would stay again
- wanda m (8/5): - It was quieter than it looked like it was going to be. There was no hot water. It was barely warm.
- Christine (8/5): - It was clean and it was quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful 👍
- Elisabeth (10/5): - Cute little motel with only 6 rooms. Nice to have the convenience store right beside it. Cozy and relaxing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): wonderful nights sleep! - We were a bit apprehensive when we got to the motel when we could not locate anyone on site. I called the number and walked a short distance to the convenient store to check in. The room was so nice! Clean, quiet and there were chocolates on the pillows! It is right off the highway so there was some traffic in the early morning, but we had no trouble sleeping in the comfy beds! Highly recommend stopping if you are passing by!
- Joseph (10/5): - It was simple and easy. Shower head needs replacing but there was lots of water pressure.
- Ginette (6/5): - Lights not functioning half of room
Breakers off without notice
Unable to turn tv on
- Brenda (4/5): - Liked nothing
- Brian (10/5): - house keeping staff were excellent. Unit came equiped with a microwave and fridge, coffee and cream and sugar.
- Tanya (6/5): - Quiet stay. A bit older property. Check-in at the adjacent gas station. Panmure beach is 15 mins away and worth checking out, has a lighthouse.
- Callie (8/5): - The Winds was fine for what we paid/were looking for. Plus - It had a coffee maker/bar fridge (which came with bottled water)/microwave. The bathroom had windows and they opened (NICE!) and we looked onto farmland out back which made it quaint.
Minus - We were a party of 4 and we had 2 rooms - they were both clean, sheets clean, no problem there. One of our rooms had a musty smell - like it had been shut up for a long time, or perhaps coming from the A/C filter? We stayed two nights - the guests who were in the room with the musty smell definitely noticed that it had gone into their clothing. The other room was fine without that same smell. Bathrooms were surface clean but did both have some dark spots indicating mildew stains.
So on the whole, we were looking for a cheap place to sleep (felt comfortable doing that) as we were in transit on the island, but did burn a fragrant candle to offset the smell and needed to air out clothing when we got to our next destination.
- Virgil (8/5): - The tv was good.
- BECKY (10/5): - I’ve never stayed at a gas station before! It was great!
- iman (8/5): - Friendly people
- Casey (8/5): - The property was not fancy. But it was clean and housekeeping was excellent. There was a newly renovated tub and shower It was good value for a room in PEI and we enjoyed staying there.
- Valois (8/5): - Good
- Dolena (8/5): - Quiet affordable location. The walls allow you to hear neighbour’s conversations if they are at all loud. Fortunately they went to sleep by 10 and then we heard not a sound. Air conditioner worked great which we needed!!
- Andrea (4/5): - Air conditioning left a mildew smell in the room which was not pleasant. Either than the that it’s was okay to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was clean and quiet as well as economical . Staff was helpfu and landscaping was nice.
