Guest Reviews
- Don (6/5): Ok - Nice convenient location Shower drain blocked causing flooding in bathroom
- ron (8/5): -
- Trudy (1/5): Would not stay here again. - It was awful. Old and smelly, one of the power points didn’t work, air conditioning was very noisy. Window that you couldn’t close in the bathroom made the room very cold during the night, luckily it’s not the middle of winter. White paint splatters on bathroom floor and the shower looked unhygienic-did not use it. An old thin blanket instead of a quilt for the bed did not give much warmth even folded in two. Very tired old place.
- Duke (8/5): no concerns - Didn't do breakfast No towel rails in bathroom
- Duke (8/5): happy with facilities - Did not do breakfast, this was a simple quick overnight stop between Albury and Adelaide nothing
- Steve (7/5): Suitable for overnight stay - Clean but old with some recent modifications Old
- Robert (5/5): Passable standard motel room - Passable standard motel room
Clean and comfortable bedding Bookings .com said 'last available room' but on arrival and in the morning only 2 other residents
Overflowing ashtray under the front door chair.
Someone else's ?? clothes hanging in the wardrobe
TV would not show up on my phone to enable casting
- Sue (3/5): - Look I didn’t expect a lot and to be honest it was about what we expected. Walking distance to pub and club for dinner. A lot of truck noise from the road. Drain in sink not draining away.
- Sandra (9/5): Good location. Great facilities. Spacious and great parking. - Close to the charging station. Spacious. Good parking. The fridge in the cupboard is not a good idea - it runs too much.
- Lucas (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): Comfortable - Location and rooms have been painted and bathroom updated Shower drain was very slow to drain to nearly to the point of being blocked
- Robert (5/5): OK, but expensive for the standard of accommodation and facilities. - It was a bed at the end of a long day Shower drain blocked and flooded the bathroom. No contact with staff apart from a phone call.
- Judi (5/5): -
- Andrew (4/5): Stay here if you need to - No reception, room was not clean
- Susan (5/5): Just a place to sleep on our way home - This motel is on the main highway. we stopped there because we were halfway home. The room looked like it may have been recently painted because there were paint drops on the floor. The king size bed was clean and well made up. There was a smell coming from the toilet which was quite unpleasant. We did not see anyone at all to welcome us or show us to our room. I had to call the number on the office door to find out which room we were allotted. The chairs in the room were quite grubby and the floor looked like it needed a good mop.
- Grant (8/5): Ouyen short stay in comfort! - Great King size beds, fridge, kettle, toaster, and microwave make a short stay here really comfy.
- LESLEY (5/5): - It was clean ok for an overnight stay Arrived at 5pm - couldn't access room as it was still being cleaned. No wi- fi though it was included in the facilities list.
- Colin (4/5): Did the job. Won’t be back - Clean room. Reasonable price No staff on site. Blocked plumbing . Dodgy aircon. Paper thin walls. It appeared like there were only one or two other guests and we were beside each other. Even one room’s separation would have meant not listening to someone snoring all night!
- David (7/5): It was expensive for what was offered. - Good room size. Tidy. Amenities OK Noisy, but it was on main highway.
Check-in was staff free, but no prior communication about this and how to access room.
- Christopher (2/5): Would not stay again - Not much no one to check in The bathroom was full of water and when you showers flooded everywhere
- Bente (7/5): -
- Con (6/5): Basic but comfortable - Old motel with some renovations. Very clean and comfortable bed. Outside areas were unkempt. The grassed areas had not been mowed for months and the limited garden areas were very untidy and in need of attention. There was only one person on site and he had to do all the cleaning, as well as running the office. He worked his butt off and did not finish cleaning until after 7.00pm. Under-staffed. Lacks professionalism. Having said that, it is not a bad place to stay in a town with limited options. See above
- Kay (8/5): Overall very comfortable. - How easy it was to access the property even after 5pm. Close proximity (5 minute walk) to the local pub which had great seniors meals and awesome atmosphere. The noisy fridge
- Melissa (5/5): Didnt feel very secure or looked after (and no gf food options) as a single female travelling - Easy access terrible food options in region, be prepared to go hungry if you are gluten free, roadhouse next door is supposed to supply food and they were mean
- john (7/5): We did not have any contact with staff other than on the phone -
- Aaron (5/5): Thank god it was only over night. - Not much Room was full of bugs and still quite dirty!!
- Freddy (9/5): Good - Easy access/ clean space N/A
- Guest (7/5): -
- Tammie (7/5): - Location and easy check in Poo left in toilet from previous person. Bathroom not cleaned well.
- Allan (7/5): All good - Good location Rear window let in to much light
- Steve Fry (8/5): - The bed was amazing and the room had everything you needed The fridge is turned off, really dam annoying when you arrive after a ling days drive and want to call down some drinks. The fridge should always be on or at least turned on one a booking is confirmed.
- eric (6/5): ok for a nights stay -
- David (8/5): Comfortable - Reading lamps, big comfortable bed No exhaust fan in the bathroom/toilet
- Anouska (6/5): Pleasant and good for an overnight stay. - Clean, modern room, reasonably quiet No information on how to check in/out after hours. My phone calls weren’t answered so I had to guess how to check out. Shower was a bit outdated and would have preferred bowls and cutlery but otherwise a good room that did the job. Keep in mind it is across the train track from the main part of town so it’s a bit of a walk.
- kenneth (8/5): -
- Ron (8/5): - A good quiet night.
- Taylor (8/5): -
- Meryl (8/5): - Spoke to staff on the phone, helpful & entry/key was as they stated. Room was clean & comfortable. Fridge did not have a freezer. Only a little inconvenience as I wanted to re freeze my ice bricks
- Matthew (6/5): - never had breakfast no key when we arrived and no extra pillows
- Diana (6/5): - Location

- Sullivan (2/5): -
- Phillip (8/5): Location good , motel was clean beds comfortable, had all the facilities required -
- Malcolm (9/5): - Great stop off halfway to Adelaide. Very clean and tidy rooms. Walking distance to the town's amenities. Recommend.
Tip - try the Ouyen Club if open. We enjoyed a great night there.
- Trudy-Ann (6/5): - Roo.s was spacious No milk, the fridge was to loud, and the bed was very hard
- Nathan (5/5): Very average - Not much it’s close to our event Unkempt
No staff onsite
Dirty dishes and cutlery
Bed uncomfortable
- Julie (9/5): -
- Grant (8/5): -
- Grant (8/5): -
- Annette (4/5): - Wasn’t clean dust and floors not mopped, toilet kept filling with water and not flushing, red back spider on side of bed in a web with eggs also.
Grounds were overgrown with rubbish everywhere.
Will never stay there again.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Kristiana (8/5): -
- Charles (7/5): Would stay again if I needed to. Hope they are able to tidy up the outside. - Our room was clean on the surface and comfortable. Mattress protector stained with old blood and not clean. The sheets and towels were clean and the room presented quite well. Rubbish bin dirty and covered with a garbage bag. Office was not manned or open at all. Garden and outdoor surrounds were appalling. This motel has so much potential and could be really improved with a little TLC.
- Ron (9/5): - Quiet location No freezer in fridge. Broken towel rail in bathroom
- Reidar (10/5): -
- Glenn (5/5): -
- Glenn (5/5): -
- Christopher (6/5): Perfectly fine for an overnight stay. I have stayed in better and worse. Tidy up the outside and pay a little more atten - Location on the road to Adelaide. Room size was good and the bed was quite comfortable. Outside of the rooms the general grounds were in need of some maintenance. The room was reasonably clean but I lost an item behind a cupboard and it looks like it’s never cleaned.
- Albert (8/5): Reception response was very vague on if the room was available and key availability We arrived early -
- jun (4/5): -
- Oogjes (10/5): -
- Steven (10/5): -
- Gary (7/5): No staff onsite and office unattended - On way to where I was going Needs maintenance on shower and toilet
- Ron (8/5): A quiet stay - Every thing was good - The fridge was in a non-ventelated cabinet and had no freezer compartment.
The towel rail in the bathroom was missing, just one support remaining
- shane (1/5): -
- Christine (7/5): We would stay again. - Everything was in the room, including kettle, toaster, microwave etc.
Room well presented and clean.
Good water pressure for shower.
Great op shop, directly opposite. The occasional truck noise during the night.
We did not see any staff at all during our stay.
Check in was by the way of making a call to a mobile number.
- Barbara (4/5): It was okay but could have been a lot better with a little more attention to detail and the grounds are neglected. I wou - The surrounding area is unkempt and needs a lot of attention
- Mark (8/5): Don't judge a book by its cover. - The rooms exceeded expectations. Clean, well appointed and modern No one at reception upon arrival as we had said we were arriving at 9pm. Staff difficult to reach but we finally did
- Dianne (8/5): - Very clean, bed comfortable, quiet Untidy entry and surrounds, checkin door with phone contact for check in looked uncared for
- Terry Bowles (8/5): Value -
- roger (7/5): Ouyen motel review - Clean rooms and comfortable bed The grounds were poorly maintained
like the Bronx
not that hard to cut grass and tend to yard
There was a shower curtain instead of glass door ...that was cheap
- graham (4/5): Much could be done to improve stay male who greeted us was unable to understand and speak English - Central Limited cutlery and crockery for 2 people nil extra pillows
- John (7/5): -
- John (6/5): -

- Graham (8/5): -
- Paul (7/5): Pleasent and comfortable - Good place to stop for a night on my travels…The Roadhouse next door is convenient for snacks and food Insects mosquitoes in particular somehow can get in through bathroom window
Insect spray supplied
- Aravind (9/5): -
- Larraine (9/5): Good bed in a quiet location. - The motel was easy to find and nice and quiet. There was no access to food there, but we found a pub nearby where we got a good meal. The bed was very comfy. Nothing
- Kramer (8/5): -
- ashley (8/5): - Room was very clean . Big bed big shower . Good sized room (no. 5) . All modern . Would stay there again. Garden could be a bit neater. But not an issue.
- Chris (8/5): -
- Rhelma (10/5): -
- Harrison (4/5): -
- Dean (5/5): Adequate hotel for an overnight stop. - Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay on our way to Adelaide. The room had everything we needed. Would like to have had two pillows.
- Melanie (3/5): Gross - Not much No staff on sight on check in. Felt I was inconveniencing them when finally checking in. Garbage scattered throughout the property. Poorly maintained. Looked like the shower cubicle had more pee on it than a pub urinal. Opened ‘complementary’ half drunk carton of long life milk in the fridge. Not a place I would stay ever again, nor would recommend.
- Lesley (7/5): -
- Kimberley (8/5): - comfy bed when having shower water runs onto floor
- DAVID (7/5): -
- Edwin (9/5): -
- John (6/5): Comfortable clean room but untidy shabby exterior. - Comfortable bed and well equipped room. Renovated bathroom. Exterior of building very shabby. Yard area poorly maintained with upturned bins etc.

- Amy (3/5): Served the purpose of a bed overnight - Sheets didn’t fit the bed

Paint from renovations still all over the floor
Cupboard drawer came off in our hand as we pulled it out

- Jill (9/5): Recommend to stay - Very clean room and refurbished bathroom. Bed fabulous and meticulously presented. Maybe a blind on rear window to reduce heat and light…

- Paul (7/5): -
- Raju (7/5): Had good time during our stay. - We had good time. N/A
