- Paula Misty (7/5): - The spa with a view is relaxing and good for photos. One of the newer and better looking hotel in Banff. If you are assigned room 230, asked to be moved if possible. It is beside the fire exit that is regularly used and it gets noisy. Internet is also slow in that room. There is gap in the door so the room is quite bright from the hallway light even with all the room lights off. Its location is quite far from downtown banff so you will need to walk further or catch the free bus.

- Edward (8/5): Great hotel, but noisy rooms because of poor heating and ventilation design - Clean, lovely pools and handy facilities like laundry room. Restaurant is very good, breakfast not to be missed. The heater in the rooms is an air blower type and is quite loud, makes no sense why they don't have silent radiator type heaters. In our room it was right next to the bed as well. There also is no way to turn off the air ventilation which is constant and also a steady noise. If sound sensitive it's not the hotel you, our children had problems sleeping due to the noise. Very poor room heating and ventilation design.

- LEE (9/5): 귀여운 호텔 - 자쿠지 있고 분위기가 아늑했다 1층 까페가 맛있었고 셔틀버스 쿠폰을 줬다 그리고 커피와 차를 방에서 마실수 있게 프론트에서 나눠줬다 퀸사이즈 2개 침대의 방에 묵었는데 방크기가 좀 작아서 아쉬웠다 그리고 뷰도 앞에 호텔 다른 방이 보여서 답답했다

- Jirutta (5/5): - ทำเล วิวสระ This stay was extremely disappointing and far below what we expected from a hotel selling premium room categories. My friend and I both booked the most expensive Mountain View rooms, specifically because of the views that were advertised online. However, upon arrival, the room I received in Building C at the very back of the property had the mountain view almost completely blocked by a roof. My friend’s room was even worse — her so-called “Mountain View” was facing the garage area. This is simply not a Mountain View and does not match what guests are paying for when booking this category. Selling rooms under a “Mountain View” label while assigning rooms with obstructed or garage views feels extremely misleading. When I went to the front desk to raise this issue, the response from the female staff member was shocking. She told me that the photos shown online are only for advertising purposes. That explanation is unacceptable and suggests a very concerning lack of transparency in how rooms are marketed and sold. After I insisted, they eventually agreed to change the room. However, it was clear that there were available rooms in Building B with proper mountain views, yet those were not offered to us. The service experience made the situation even worse. The same female staff member at check-in (wearing an arm cast) spoke in a dismissive and unfriendly manner from the beginning. When I accidentally handed the wrong passport, she abruptly responded with “Is this you?” while looking at me in a very unfriendly way. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. At this price level, guests should not have to argue just to receive the room category they actually paid for. Misleading room descriptions combined with poor service attitude is extremely disappointing.
- Aries (9/5): Great hotel, modern, good facilities, $8 Canadian to use washer and dryer (so glad we saved our laundry until this hotel - Pools and sauna beautiful and open late, good quality coffee, massive comfy beds, friendly staff, great restaurant, big heated car park Had flickering light in bedroom and bathroom which raised on day 2 but didn’t get fixed and stayed 8 days, quite far out of main strip (20 min walk to town), not a problem in good weather but consider if winter stay. They do provide free bus passes and there is a free indoor car park so it isn’t the end of the world! Suspect parking in town would be both expensive and difficult in summer. Might struggle to park indoors in summer too - we went off peak so plenty of space
- JIAYING (8/5): Well-equipped rooms, a great hot pool view, and tasty food but the air conditioning/heating is noisy - The room is well-equipped, featuring a smart TV that supports apps like YouTube and allows personal account access. The hotel also offers a stunning hot pool view and a restaurant serving delicious food. Although it’s not centrally located, free Banff town bus tickets make it convenient for guests to reach the town. However, the air conditioning/heating unit is quite noisy.

- Xu (7/5): - The design of the hotel and rooms were nice and modern. They felt cosy and well curated. The rooftop hot tubs and sauna were also a highlight. There was no full length mirror in the room. One of the bathroom lights was flickering constantly and the shower wouldn't go past moderately warm. The window in the bathroom was no private enough and necessitated that the blinds were pulled shut otherwise people could see you doing your business! While the heat controls in the room worked properly, the air conditioning unit was noisy and the only way of adjusting the temperature and blew air directly at the bed.

Great parking facilities with easy connection to the hotel. Brilliant friendly staff. Room was comfortable and the complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were of great quality. Seemed to have tepid water on 2 mornings for showers rather than hot.

- Chiara (9/5): Stylish hotel with great views and amazing location - We had an amazing stay in the Otter Hotel for a few days of exploring Banff and Skiing. We didn't know this when we booked but just across the road is actually the first stop of the free ski shuttle which was amazing - we were always first on the bus and got a seat right away. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern yet super cosy. We particularly liked the outdoor heated pool terrace with views over the mountains, and there was alsy a sauna. The hotel staff were super friendly - special shout out to Tia who was able to answer all our questions. There's also a great restaurant in the hotel (Good Folk) as well as great coffee/brunch place (Sudden Sally) next door. Overall, loved this place! Our room had an "internal" view (onto the other building) however given the amazing views from the terrace and the fact we spent most of the time outside this didn't matter at all!

- Clare (9/5): Nice hotel - loved the hot tubs - The hot tubs on the roof and the seating area were lovely. We had drinks at the bar and the bar tenders were very helpful. The front desk experience was disappointing. The staff member came across as abrupt and could benefit from additional guest service training. I had forgotten my ID, and although my husband had his, it was suggested we might not be able to use our booking, which felt unnecessarily stressful. I also asked whether the room was dog-friendly, and the response felt quite accusatory, as though we were trying to sneak a pet in. Overall, the interaction could have been handled with more professionalism and courtesy. You have to wait for the elevator during busy periods.
- Kerry (7/5): A nice, convenient hotel on the edge of Bamff to serve as your base for exploring the area - It’s right on the main drag, parking is easy, the bed was comfortable. There are hot tubs & outdoor sitting area with fire pits with a nice view. There is a bus, longer walk or short drive to restaurants, shops, a grocery store in town. The pull out drawer fridge was practical and cool and it was lovely to have the kettle and sink for making tea/a snack. We did get a discount on our rentals and they were delivered to our hotel! (Ask at the front desk). The elevators are oddly arranged and slow. The restaurant is rather pricey-the cafe next door was better for breakfast/coffee options. There are very few common areas to sit or meet snd chat. The lobby has very limited seating. It was unfortunate since we were a group and mostly had to go out to be able to sit anywhere or meet up. The rooms were pretty tight. There was not much room for our bags and ski stuff. The drawers and the two chairs at the little narrow top of drawers wasn’t terribly comfortable for having tea/coffee or working on a computer. However it was too chilly to sit out on the balcony in those chairs or at that mini table in winter. In summer that’d be nice. The coffee/tea/hot chocolate delivery didn’t really work as intended. We needed to go to the front desk and ask. There are ski lockers, but we had to ask about them.

- Sarah (10/5): Beautiful hotel woth exceptional service! - The hotel is beautiful, it is warm and cosy. The staff are exceptional. The view from the rooftop spa is incredible and the while outdoor space is like no other. We had breakfast in the resturant, the coffee was great and meals were very tasty. A lively bonus was a free bus pass for the local bus for the duration of our stay. My only regret was not buying a little otter from reception to take home.

- Fatemeh (10/5): The perfect hotel to fully enjoy Banff - The location is perfect. It’s like a 15 minute walk to the centre of Banff town. The rooms are beautiful. The pool is great (the water is warm and the views are phenomenal so it’s a great facility to have after a full day of skiing or even early morning) Everything was perfect, but just heads up that they don’t have slippers in their room for sustainability reason so I highly recommend taking slippers with you

The hallways are very warm so you won't feel code when getting back to room. They also provide bus tickets so you don't have to drive in Banff town. The equipments are new. The beds are comfy. - Hammond (9/5): Excellent hotel in Banff. - This is a new hotel, ~ 1 year old, and it shows. Everything is up to date, clean, and well-kept. It tilts modern but still has a lot of wood accents to maintain the rustic mountain feel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant Good Folk is very good, both for breakfast and for dinner. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. Parking was very easy.

- Andrew (9/5): With this free bus, this is a great option for Banff! Lovely coffee tea, good food options and good facilities. - Lovely modern hotel with great staff and some lovely touches. Great hot tub. Location is slightly out of town but everything else is 10/10. One big issue with the rooms is that the doors don’t fit very well so it’s noisy and light gets in.

- yyc (9/5): Clean, modern, and amazing mountain view hot pool and restaurant! - I loved the location, about 20 min walk to downtown so you are away from the noise and the crowd -but a bus can be easily accessed across the hotel- they give you free transit pass during your stay- I enjoyed the walks though! Hotel is kept clean considering the weather- it didn’t look muddy from all the snow. The free drip style coffee is a plus- the restaurant in the Hotel is a gem! We had dinner there twice as we really enjoyed it- we also tried the breakfast and didn’t disappoint! Banff Hotels are understandably expensive- so I would say for the hot pool experience, with a mountain view and open from 7am to 11 pm and the room and hotel cleanliness, it is worth it. Another plus- free secured parking in the building. The beds and pillows could definitely be better- It is too firm for me and did not sleep too comfortably- kept waking up as it hurts my neck and my back.

- Michael (9/5): - Very clean and comfortable rooms. Received complimentary upgrade. Restaurant prices very affordable and staff very friendly. Nice hot tub on the roof. Location just a bit far out of town for walking in the colder temperatures, however Roam busstop just outside hotel entry.
