Was enthusiastic about her job, provided us very good restaurants with 5-6 blocks, as well as places to visit on our daily walks. Breakfast was provided and included wonderful continental options as well as eggs and coffee made to order. Overall, a great stay and would stay again if in the area. A nice boutique hotel offered character that lacks in the big hotels.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the breakfast which included eggs, yogurt, bread, tea coffee with more.
• Laurie (8/5): - Very nice boutique hotel in a very quiet area but still very close to the beach and restaurants and bars. We stayed for 5 nights and unfortunately were given a rather small room. The staff is lovely and speaks very good English. Breakfast was good. We had a small misunderstanding with the reception lady who helped us book a trip to Casablanca valley for wine tasting and we would have preferred a bit more transparency on the price. It was still really nice and we had a great time though we had to pay more than told in the end. The restaurant affiliated with the hotel was recommended by the staff and did not disappoint. It was delicious!

• Fengstad (10/5): Enjoyable stay - Quiet locationwith great hosts, Nieves, Marcello and Constanza on the front desk. Constanza was very helpful for tips on getting around. We like family run stays and you could feel the difference on arrival when Nieves gave us a big hug as a greeting. They were as sad to see us go as we were to leave. Nothing really.

Sin duda lo mas destacable es la gran atencion de los dueños, quienes desde el primer momento nos han hecho sentirnos en casa, logrando que sea una experiencia inolvidable y que tengamos ganas de volver. Todo es muy bueno, mencionaría que en algunos momentos del dia hacia mucho calor en la pieza y quiza podria mejorar. Aun asi, se dispone de espacios comunes al aire libre muy agradables y frescos.

El café de grano para el desayuno debería mejorar.

• Hanno Markus (8/5): Lovely small boutique hotel in a good and safe location - Great calm location but near to everything! Great locally sourced breakfast and lovely staff. They decorated nicely for the holidays :) The room was quite small but sufficient for us. The blinds / shutters are not black out dark. The light can shine through.
• David (10/5): - The location, in a walled charming garden, is excellent. A quiet oasis of peace in the midst of a bustling restaurant district. Breakfast was wonderful with personally prepared eggs and coffee, complemented with a wide choice of fresh fruits, yogurts and cereals. The hosts were friendly and extremely helpful. Communication with the hosts was smooth and efficient. The sea was within a short walk. The hotel is at the end of a cul de sac and can be missed when viewed from the main road.

• Michelle (10/5): A hidden gem - A small, friendly hotel with comfortable rooms and tucked away down a secure side street. It has lovely gardens wrapped around the buildings which felt like a tranquil oasis in the middle of the city. The hotel is surrounded by a good selection of restaurants and some small shops and is a five minute walk from the beach. Constanza on reception was brilliant- she can fix or find out whatever you want or need and speaks excellent English. She is a great asset to the hotel. Lots of keys!! We appreciated the security but kept mixing up which key was for which door or gate!

• Ceciel (9/5): Fijne kleinschalig hotelom een paar dagen te verblijven. - Fijn hotel, goed (stevig) bed. Geen airco in de kamer, dat was een beetje jammer. Uitermate vriendelijk personeel. We kregen allerlei tips voor restaurants en hoe verder te reizen met de bus. Genoeg te eten en drinken in de buurt. Leuke tuin met fijne zitjes. De kamer was niet groot en had geen airco. Het was een beetje te warm 's nachts.
• COLIN (10/5): This is the place to stay in Vina del Mar - Everyone at Esencia from the moment of arrival everyone was very friendly and welcoming, Making you feel at home immediately. It is obvious everyone takes pride in the service they provide. Also great prearrival communications. The breakfast is the best we have had since being in Chile, fresh and varied, and so much of it too. Other hotels could learn so much from Escenia on how to treat people and provide top class accommodation and service. Great location just a short walk from Vina del Mar beach plenty of local cafes and restaurants too. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Esencia est une petite pépite, idéalement située à Viña del Mar, proche de la mer, des restaurants, et pourtant au calme dans une petite rue agréable. L’accueil de Nueves et Marcello, le couple qui dirige l’hôtel, a été tout simplement exceptionnel. Leur gentillesse, leur attention et leur disponibilité font vraiment la différence. Petite anecdote : nous sommes arrivés avec un pneu crevé, et Marcello n’a pas hésité une seconde à nous aider. Il nous a accompagnés chez un réparateur de confiance qui a pu changer le pneu rapidement, ce qui nous a permis de poursuivre notre séjour sereinement. L’hôtel est charmant, très propre, décoré avec goût, et on s’y sent vraiment comme chez soi. Une adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter — un vrai bonheur dans une station balnéaire très prisée.
• Linus (10/5): Like home away from home - The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the location is awesome. Comfy beds and the breakfast is made with soooo much love. We loved our stay so much we extended for a few more nights. But by far the best thing is the staff. Connie always greets you with a big smile and is super willing to help and give tips for the area. And Nieve is just the sweetest person, she has sooooo much passion for her hotel and her guest and really makes you feel like home. • russell (10/5): Esencia Hotel, what all hotels strive to be. - Prior to our arrival, the hotel staff was already helping with us with our itinerary, making suggestions and arranging transportation. The boutique hotel was well appointed, and the grounds were beautiful. They also had a fabulous restaurant conveniently located right around the corner. I have been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years, and this property is what all hotels strive to provide. The breakfast was perfect, with way too many options :) and the small dining room was just beautiful ! Esencia Hotel and their restaurant, is owned and operated by a small family. Everyone there is happy and smiling, as was I. Being "treated like family" is a term that in my opinion, is overworked but in this case, nothing could be truer! I loved these people and hated to leave. Viva La Familia !!!!! That I could not have stayed longer :)

• Patricio (9/5): Visita viña por pocos dias - Una casa remodelada con buen gusto muy céntrica, ideal para conocer viña a pie. El desayuno es muy bueno y el personal muy agradable. Los jardines son pequeños pero muy bellos No tiene estacionamiento en el lugar pero hay uno disponible cerca con costo adicional.

• Irene (10/5): Fantastic hotel - The staff were super helpful. The hotel was decorated beautifully. Our room was gorgeous extremely clean beautiful bedding. The only downside I think personally is there is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and a lack of Parking, but it wasn’t so much of an issue
