Guest Reviews
- Pablo (6/5): Needs major improvements for the priced charged - The a/c unit works perfect, there is a very helpful mini fridge in the room. The bed sheets and pillowcases are extremely rough, almost like sandpaper, to the point where it’s better not to use them at all.
The instructions for accessing the room were a mess — there are no clear signs or directions. Getting in and out of the room is a nightmare with those old-fashioned keys. Nowadays there are electronic locks that work much better for this kind of room rental service.
And finally, there was Wi-Fi available, but you have to ask for the password. If you don’t ask, there’s no indication at all that you can even connect.
- Aga (7/5): - The apartment was clean, although the duvets in the closet were in a poor condition. The location is decent - few options to city centre, about a 20–25 minute walk to Trastevere station. The room is fine for a couple or two adults with a child, but definitely not for three adults. I wasn’t expecting to have neighbors in the room next to us with the same entrance, but maybe that was my misunderstanding. Overall, the stay was okay.
- Kevin (5/5): 6/10 - Location of the property was decent. 20 walk from the main stuff in Trastevere. They provide 1 cheap body towel and 1 smaller towel for 3 nights.. these towels shed horribly and they wouldn’t dry so you’d be drying off with a damp towel. They do not provide shampoo or body wash. Bathroom hand soap only. The walls suck. You can hear the owner in their room sometimes and neighbors. Now for the keys. The room key is one of those ancient keys that is ridiculously annoying to open the door. There was also a key to exit the gate outside which was annoying. For the price we paid, it didn’t feel worth it. Photos should show what the full space looks like so that people aren’t fooled. Communication with owner was fine.
- Vanesa (9/5): - The location is perfect

- Maya (6/5): Pleasant stay in a calm neighborhood - The apartment was very functional and well equipped — it had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great, with restaurants and shops just downstairs. Trastevere, a lively area perfect for going out in the evening, was only about a 20-minute walk away. We also really appreciated having air conditioning, even in September, as it was still quite warm. Despite being close to everything, the neighborhood was calm and quiet at night.
Communication with the host was excellent, and the check-in instructions were very clear and helpful. Be aware, the kitchenette is shared with another apartment. Was not a problem for us !
Blankets really need a proper wash, and unfortunately the towels hadn’t dried well and had a musty smell when we arrived.
The shower also drained quite slowly.
- PaolaBN (5/5): - Proprietario gentile L’appartamento andrebbe ripreso.
Scomodo per arrivarci a piedi
- Anastasia (5/5): -
- evangelina (10/5): Great place! - The location was perfect, very calm and safe area, the room was big and it has a small balcony, perfect for a morning coffee -
- Ruben (8/5): -
- Joanna (8/5): Polecam serdecznie - Bardzo dobra lokalizacja , dużo knajpek, spokojna dzielnica
- Spagnoli (7/5): -
- Linda (9/5): -

- Bryan (8/5): Very good - Pleasant accommodation in a quiet area. The access to the accommodation was up a very steep climb from the excellent transport links and to be fair it was difficult if you have even moderate mobility issues. Also we stayed for 5 nights and was slightly disappointed that neither the bedding or towels were changed during our stay especially as our stay was during very hot weather. I would say this more as a suggestion than a criticism as apart from this issue everything else was fine.
- Barbara (2/5): Very poor - You keep on paying more even when you wanna let your small bagg you cant and they send you to some lockers outside where you mist pay.
- Aleksandra (7/5): Good -
- Pawel (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gomola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Farnaz (4/5): Disappointing - You have to spend 10 min to lock the door You waste 10 minutes every time you go in and out to lock the door. How much does it cost to change the locker? 5 euros???
The landlord is also irresponsible. He told us we could be there at 3 PM, but when we arrived at 14:55 , he said we spoke for 15:00 not before , even 5 min… . At 15:00 he said: we aren’t ready yet, even though we had checked several times. In the end, he gave us the room at 3:45 PM.
- Bhushan (7/5): All in all worth the money... - Location...easy access to train and bus lines and food places The towels were smelling bad and also bedsheets had a little smell.
- Emre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicente (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ekaterina (10/5): The smart choice for a perfect Roma trip! - Perfect place! I cannot fault anything. It was cozy warm when we arrived shortly after Christmas and always as warm as we'd like. Spacious room, comfy beds, and a large fully renovated modern bathroom. Shared kitchenette was well stocked and there was detergent for laundry. Mini fridge in the room. The sound isolation is very good. We never heard the neighbors, not even the double room across the hall. The balcony was lovely to get some fresh air. I had my reservations about that prior to booking, as one reviewer thought it was ugly and street facing? Not so. I recommend they get their eyes checked. And the "hill" to get to the apartment is only possibly an issue if you're elderly/disabled or you're like my fellow Americans who pack an absurdly huge rolling suitcase like they're moving in for 5 years. The location was fantastic, and my travel partners agreed. We walked everywhere from here, and I mean everywhere, very easily with Google Maps. Public transportation also easy. Arrival to/from railway station (Termini) on bus 170 or bus H, can pay onboard with contactless credit card. And also super easy to/from Fuminicio airport from Roma Trastevere station. Elite supermarket right across the street and others nearby, and you're at the doorstep to Trastevere neighborhood. Secret tip: take the street above the apartment to get to the Vatican, and enjoy panoramic views from parks en route. Don't forget to book Colosseum tickets well ahead of time. For Pantheon not necessary, and cash line was much shorter than card. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to family and friends. That we couldn't stay longer :o)
- Nikola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Camilla (9/5): Superb -
- Umihiko (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great place to stay. The owner was so helpful for my questions.
- Vladyslav (9/5): Superb -
- Nuhovic (8/5): Very good - Very nice neighborhood. Very close to public transport. Direct lines to center. Could be little bit more clean. Could have some Caffè in the kitchen.
- Lelde (8/5): Great stay in Rome near city center - It is a great room with private bathroom very close to all the main attractions. Also a shared kitchen area with all the necessities is a great bonus to have.
- Meda (9/5): Great place with a walking distance from the city centre. Recommend! - The location was incredible, we felt very safe and it was a quick walk from Trastevere. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hallway was a bit damp and the kitchenette was tiny. We wanted to use it more, but it felt really cramped. Also, the window in our bedroom was broken.
- Angel (7/5): Good location in terms of starting position for a tour, quiet place. - Good location for visiting the city. It's about 500m from the main street and bus stops to the accommodation, but it's a steep climb, maybe not the best option for people with poor fitness.
- Smriti (4/5): Disappointing - The host always wanted to help with Rome recommendations. - It doesn't mention anywhere in the description exactly how inaccessible it is. You need to climb a hill once you get to the complex in order to get to it. It's not a problem for me to do the climb, but I was traveling with my father and it was stressful for him.
- There was a weird smell everywhere
- The beddings are not of good quality, I had rashes on my skin
- Max (8/5): Very good - Great and responsive host. Kitchen was small but very helpful. The room was clean and nice to stay in, and the value was great as well as the location. There were not clear pictures of this bedroom’s balcony on the listing, i thought we would have a view of the street below from the side of the building, but it turns out we were at the back in the alleyway. It would have been helpful to know that from the listing. Please correct that. Also let people know in the listing that there is a long steep walk to get up the hill.
- Weyermann (6/5): Pleasant -
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- Dimitrios (8/5): Very good -
- Mbalant (9/5): Superb - Great location. 5 minutes walk to the bus stop to get to the centre.. Ideal for trastevere train station and connections to Fiera di Roma for me. Provide some tea/coffee.
- Dani (10/5): Exceptional - Great place and service! Very nice and clean room at convinient location, we loved the vibe of the neibourhood. Our host was very kind and responsive to our requests, he let us check in early and helped us with local advice and recommendations. Thank you, Daniele🙏
- Domenico (9/5): Superb -
- Ema (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- André (8/5): Very good -
- Celine (7/5): No frills budget place in a nice quiet building close to public transit - Nice location in a nice building. Very quiet. I love the street it's on, and enjoyed the steep walk down to the main road and back up the hill. Proximity to the tram stop and a grocery store, the street market, and a couple of good pubs was great. Check in was very easy and we were happy to not have to wait till 3pm.
The host, Daniel, was very responsive; the sheets on the bed were very old and full of rough pills which just feel gross against your skin. (My husband called them sandpaper sheets). When I asked for new sheets, he showed up fairly quickly with a new set (hopefully they've thrown away the original ones) There were no toiletries whatsoever besides a hand soap pump. Also no floor towel for coming out of the shower.
When we asked if we could drop off our bags before checkin, the answer was no. And upon checkout, we were told that if we need to leave our bags he would direct us to a baggage deposit nearby (we didn't; we were flying out early). There is a coffeemaker and small refrigerator but when we asked about coffee, we were told there's no complimentary coffee. No welcome drinks of any kind.
Every single other place I've ever stayed at has offered these things, so this was a bit strange.
I booked this place in large part because it had a balcony. The balcony faces a wall, and also there are a couple of buildings directly above that look down on this one, so we had to keep the shades mostly closed for privacy, and never used the balcony.
- Krátky (8/5): Very good -
- Sedat (9/5): Great value, owner was great and helped us a lot. - Friendly and helpful owner, Great value
- Roxana (9/5): Superb - Very responsive and helpful owner.
Great location, both as neighbourhood, connections to means of transportation and building and apartment design.
Easy to access with self check in
- Jaroslav (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and calm location, also
the apartment was very clean and nice.
- Silviya (5/5): It was decent! - We had our own bathroom, the bed was nice and comfortable and we had a terrace with lots of plants around. The room was spacious enough. Our host was quite responsive and helpful. There were no basic things like shampoo, shower gel etc. There was a weird smell in the kitchen and it can't be used for cooking or even coffee. Our linen also smelt a bit weird and I'm not sure if they were washed. There were some really old furniture (like a very old desk) that could be replaced with newer. The guests from the other room were making lots of noise and the neighbours started construction work at 8am and we couldn't really get much sleep. At the end of our stay, we were surprisingly told we had to leave more money for a local tax.
- Ana (8/5): Good enough, but could do with some updates - The location is great if you'd like to keep some distance from the craziness of the town center. We were close enough to walk everywhere but far away enough that it felt relaxing after a long day to get to such a quiet part of town and calm building. Having said that, you're also incredibly close to Trastevere, one of the coolest neighborhoods you'll find in Rome.
The apartment was small but the room felt huge, the AC was a great plus as Rome was incredibly hot when we visited. The kitchenette had everything necessary to cook our breakfast every morning and the small fridge was plenty for the time we spent there.
We were very pleased with the host as well, who suggested great restaurants and always answered our messages promptly. Even though there was AC in the bedroom, the entryway and kitchen were unbearably hot, the thermostat always showed 26 degrees and even though we tried to lower it the temperature never actually went down.
Also, for the whole time we were there there was never dishwashing detergent, which we told the host and were told in return to just use the soap from our bathroom to do our dishes, not ideal.
While the bedroom and bathroom were mostly clean, there were a few dusty cobwebs on the ceiling right above the bed, and some dust in the bathroom as well. On the same subject of cleanliness, we were really excited to have a balcony where we could relax at the end of the day, or have breakfast in the morning, but unfortunately it was super dirty and not very inviting, as seen in the picture.
Upon coming into the bedroom we were super stoked to have a big wardrobe, which isn't always available in rooms like this, but unfortunately there were no hangers so we still had to live out of our suitcases for the entire trip when it would have been much more relaxing to have some place to put everything away.
Another less positive thing was the bed, which felt like it could break apart at any moment (a screw actually came loose at some point), the mattress and pillows were also quite uncomfortable, but the worst of all were the sheets, which felt cheap, overused and incredibly scratchy.
None of this is the end of the world, but all could definitely be easily improved.
- Haritha (6/5): Pleasant - Beds are not good.
- Zsuzsanna (9/5): We had a great time! 😊 - The Owner gave us useful, detailed information. it worked very well. It’s a very nice place of Rome.
- Jennifer (10/5): A lovely place to stay - A great location, tucked away but near enough to Trastevere and transport links. A fantastic gem of an apartment that I would definitely stay in again.
- Markovits (9/5): Superb -
- Trang (8/5): Very good -
- Todorov (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marziye (7/5): Good - It was well equipped and the bathroom was really clean.
The neighborhood was very calm. Despite being 10 mins far from the bus stop, the whole is uphill. Since cars are not allowed to enter the alley, you can't even take a taxi
- Jona (9/5): Superb -
- Dmitry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adél (10/5): Exceptional - We had a really good time here. The apartment was really nice, cosy and clean. I loved the tiny details: antique writing desk and pictures on the walls. This place is a good mix of the modern and the vintage style. The balcon is great, surrended by huge palm trees. The host is really kind and helpful. :) I recommend this little gem for everyone! Some sharp knife (for peeling mangoes) and wine opener are might be useful. :D But the neighbours are really nice, they helped to us with the wine. :)
