- chaffeyj (8/5): - Beautiful, clean historic property, comfy beds, everything here to make your stay enjoyable, good heating for winter visits. Train line is close with a couple of afternoon and overnight trains, they didn't bother us.
- Natasha (10/5): -
- Brenda (10/5): Beautiful Property loves the heritage feel. Comfortable and warm. The fireplace came in handy. - Wasn’t expecting the train through the night.
- Katrina (10/5): Outstanding - Stunning!!! Was an absolute pleasure to stay at this property. There is nothing to fault.
Would love to return in cooler months to use the fire
- Martin (10/5): A beautiful home in a beautiful location - we loved it!! Thank you -
- Yiyi (10/5): Very nice stay overall. Love it, absolutely recommend for everyone - Like everything in the house No
- Bronwyn (10/5): Lovely rural farm stay in a first settlers stone house with local vistas - Beautiful location well fitted out spacious country retreat. Quiet and peaceful with lovely views across dam to fields and mountains. Everything great
- Louise (10/5): Exceeded our expectations - Picturesque peaceful location
House was outstanding - a lot of character and charm, spotless and well appointed and beds were super comfy Nothing
- Bronwyn (10/5): Brilliant country accommodation that could easily fit more than one family. Comfortable beds and lovely country kitchen. - Very roomy yet cozy. Felt at home as soon as we walked in. Such unique accommodation with chickens and peacocks roaming about. Quiet countryside brought out my inner artist. A relaxing place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Nothing.
- Georgina (10/5): Beautiful old sandstone house - Fantastic accommodation, the farmhouse is very spacious (much larger than the space appears in the photos). It's comfy and well provisioned (the wine, chocolates were much appreciated and additional pantry items, although we didn't need them, are a lovely touch). The beds were comfortable, great linens, and it's a peaceful place (no trains came past which would have been interesting to experience). We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon sunshine.
- Kylie (9/5): Loved this stunning old home and would definitely stay again. - Beautifully furnished old home with great amenities and super comfortable beds in big sized bedrooms. Stunning kitchen including everything you need plus more. Gorgeous views with a herb garden in the back yard and only a 5 minute drive into historic town of Ross. Would definitely stay again. The bottle of wine and extras were a nice touch too. Can't really think of anything.
- Brian (10/5): -
- Louise (10/5): Everything was of the highest standard including the welcome bottle of wine - It was a superbly presented traditional sandstone building in a tranquil setting
- Anne (8/5): Was a great comfortable stay, beds sooo comfy. Highly recommend 😊 -

- Kent and Jill (10/5): Exceptional stay - This is an exceptional property. From the slippers at the front door, a gorgeous kitchen, super comfy beds and living room, the little gifts left for guests, there’s nothing missing for a fabulous stay. Then there’s the historic house itself - it’s a treat to stay in such a house. Nothing
- Kaye (10/5): This farmhouse in Ross was a highlight of our trip, a step back into history with today's comforts. - The kitchen was a chef's delight, and we were pleased that we had taken the time to cook and dine in the house. The complimentary bottle of red wine and chocolates was a nice touch. The linen and pillows were luxurious, adding to the experience of high-end travel. The only negative was the lack of signage. We weren't certain that we were at the correct location until we unlocked the key box. A small, discreet sign would be helpful.

- Elizabeth (10/5): Claire communicated everything beautifully. We were fortunate enough to meet John. The place was absolutely perfect! Bea - From the moment we drove up it was all it promised and so much more! Nothing!!
- Saraz (10/5): - Beautiful house. It is clean, cozy, and in excellent condition. We love the nice view and the convenience of being only a few minutes from Ross.
- Charon (9/5): Beautifully renovated, cozy and comfortable farmhouse. - The farmhouse was beautifully renovated, very cosy and warm with the wood heater, electric and air conditioning. The rooms were spacious, lovely comfortable big beds and bedrooms. The kitchen was large, inviting and warm with the fire. The lounge room was comfortable and lots of seating. The bathrooms were clean and well appointed. The complimentary wine, chocs, coffee and bath fizzes were a lovely surprise. The setting next to the dam with the swans swimming and the chooks wandering around were very picturesque. Access to the herb garden was a nice addition, unfortunately we didn’t have a look but that was just due to the cold rainy weather. The hosts were very helpful, accessible and attentive. The farmhouse was situated next to a railway line so trains did come past 2-3 times through the night which did wake our light sleepers.
- Rachel (10/5): The place was magnificent & we had a wonderful start to our holiday by staying here. - Very easy, code was sent to us, instructions were clear & the door lock was easy to use. We didn't see the caretaker, would've been nice to at least say a quick Hi, as you are the only 2 on the property. Felt a bit funny about that.
- ching man crystal (8/5): - We can feel the owner's care, like, weclome snacks, heat up the fire place, place the aluminian paper on the tray.
The equipment is mordern which we didn't excepted. Warm and cozy, nice view with the lake which can see the swan. Suffucient of kicken equipment and prepared some seasoning.
Also, there are a floder which contains different instruction, direction and history of the house, it is clear for us to know. Inconvenience location, there is no supermarket nearby and next to the train.
One bedroom include some ex owner decoration, like, a girl mural, statues near bed which it is scary.
- Marilyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philippa (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely home
- Kath (9/5): What a treat! - Gorgeous house and grounds. Wonderful historic property - a real treat to stay there. Kitchen is great (we cooked up a storm), the beds are very comfortable, toasty warm, and the place is impeccably clean. Freight train line runs close to house. Trains are few/infrequent but may wake you up.
- Bonita (10/5): Loved the Farmhouse it was beautifully decorated. Stylish and simple. - It felt very warm and cosy and loved being in such a fabulous historic building that is obviously well loved by the owners. It was difficult to find the property and almost impossible in the dark.
- Joanna (9/5): Tranquil setting, farmhouse atmosphere and beautiful stone house made this stay very memorable. - Loved the location close to Ross. being on a farm with chickens and sheep, the beautiful views, being in a farmhouse
- Keona (10/5): Wonderful place to stay, will definitely be back! - What a gorgeous cottage. It’s very beautiful and comfortable. There is a large king bedroom downstairs off the kitchen with a bathroom nearby. Lovely big dining table to gather around and 2 comfortable sofas to lounge in. Upstairs you’ll find 3 more bedrooms, one large king opposite a bathroom, then a twin room which is attached to another king room. Upstairs has lovely views of the nearby dam. I found the downstairs shower tricky to get the temperature right when showering.
- Sharon (9/5): Lovely homestead but you need to bring all food supplies as nothing close and public holidays everything closed - Charm clean full facilities well equipped Location
- John (10/5): Outstanding - Stunning four bedroom luxury farmhouse, fully renovated with all the modern conveniences including wi-fi THROUGHOUT the large house, quality bedding, and heating / cooling that really works. Coffee and a bottle of wine provided, bath salts for the huge bath. Responsive management. Set in tranquil farm land with a small "lake" in front, this is the place to fully relax! Magnificent, one of the nicest places i have ever stayed (and i have stayed in a lot). Ross, nearby, is one of the most picturesque towns in Tasmania. There's a train line behind the house which might disturb light sleepers. You do need to bring your own food and beverages and be aware that it can be hard to get a meal in town, some six kilometres away, after hours and on weekends, public holidays.
- Ann (9/5): Fabulous stay here. Will certainly comeback again thank you -
- Phillip (9/5): Superb -
- Braun (8/5): All good! - No mention that it backed onto the main sth rail line.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Takeshi (10/5): Beautiful interiors that is family centric. Love that it is at a rural location. - Great location near the historic towns of Ross and Campbell. Interior of the farmhouse was just lovely. I particularly love the kitchen and dining area. It is so cosy and well thought out. Kitchen was equipped with every utensil and cutlery; fridge was also stocked with some welcomed essentials like bread, milk and water. The bedrooms were also a dream. The duvets and pillows were plush and comfortable. I had such great sleep here. That I couldn’t stay longer.
