• Heemskerk (1/5): Warning - *WARNING* read all the info about policies before paying anything. They want a $449 damage deposit which is ridiculously high but they can legally charge whatever they want. So with that said ask urself if you would be comfortable handing over that much money with no guarantee of it being returned. But I made the mistake of paying the room fee and I requested a refund right after being demanded I pay the DD. Instead of being refunded I was told I had to wait 24 hours cuz the room needed to be cleaned and inspected for damage. Which is crazy cuz I didn't go to the room at all. And now I'm being told I'm in violation of something to do with not paying DD and trying to gain access to room. These people make no sense with anything they've come at me with. Save urself the frustration by not even considering this place.

The mattress was too soft. A closet for parking clothes and other stuff would have been nice.It takes time to change things.All the best to Chamber Inn.
• Rosemarie (1/5): - I accidentally booked twice cause the message on screen told me something went wrong please try again later so I rebooked and they wouldn't even give my money back for the room that I was told didbt go through they just kept the payment Not nice people couldn't understand the system made the mistake leaving Me to believe my first room wasn't booked but still kept my payment

• McKittrick (4/5): Freezing Frustration - Not much The woman who runs the place threatened to evict me and another fellow, for smoking in the suite, one of the other guests complained about somebody smoking inside, I do smoke, but went outside when I did. I'm not a rat, so kept my mouth shut. Very unsettling facing the possibility of being shown the door at 8 pm with a backpack and duffle bag in -25 weather, after taking a taxi there and paying him to wait because she failed to give me proper instructions on how to enter the building, 4 doors, darkness, 2 visible, nothing exceptional here except her bad attitude and poor hospitality. Not sure who the guilty party is? evict all possibilities and have the police come to remove them, the guilty party manned up and left with them. Then to make a total ass of herself, she complains of my late check-out . I apologized for leaving an hour late, but I was a little distracted and trying to keep out of the way of the police. FFS.

• Sheren (4/5): Ripped off $49 +the cost of a lyft ride across town. - When I got to the actual location, after spending every penny I had on the "$49 relocation fee" and Lyft rides the room was ok, comfortable. There was no warning however that if you didnt have $500 cash upon arrival you either lost your initial $39 or you pay an extra $49 to get moved across town to a shared rooming house. Tv didnt work. • Lowe (10/5): Great place to stay - Quiet, very comfortable bed, TV in my room, attached washroom and plenty of on lot parking. The address was a little bit hard to find until I realized the house is an up/down duplex. The rental address applies to the basement. The basement address is only on the front of the house which is on a high traffic road (no place to stop in front). However when you approach the house from the alley only the upstairs address is visable on the garage. I eventually parked next to the garage and walked around front of the house to discover the rental address.
• Cass (1/5): - This host had asked for a deposit which we of course were going to fulfill had they actually answered their messages regarding it but instead neglected to answer for countless hours after check in time so we did not actually stay nor was it canceled. The host also deemed our statements regarding slow responses Harassment and threatened to call authorities over his unprofessional behavior. What a laugh :). This host is unprofessional, and not prompt with responses or service. I would not recommend to anyone.

• Erik (5/5): Good enough. - The room was obviously just cleaned: the floors were still wet, and the bed sheets were a little damp, like they weren’t in the dryer long enough. Also, we ended up getting out of it, but asking for a $450 cash deposit for a one night stay that cost $70 was sort of outrageous.

• Gina (7/5): You pay for what you get, it's warm though! - I liked the price. There was no TV. Walls were thin (echoed). Bedrooms side by side. No Toilet Paper in the Washroom. 1 Washroom for 5x people.
• McKittrick (1/5): Non refundable ripoff - Never went there. Paying for a room and not being allowed to sleep there. I went through scrolling the description. Reserved , booked and paid for the room. I then figured out a time that I would be checking in, and messaged the property. About a half hour later I get a reply to checking in and in regards to a damage deposit of $200 that must be paid first or access would not be granted. I told them I didn't have $200 and that there was no mention of a deposit when scrolled the listing and paid for the room. Also if a damage deposit was mandatory why was it not added into the total price on the invoice prior to when I paid for the room. I was told there would be no admittance to the property without the deposit being paid first. I asked for a refund and was told the booking was non refundable. After that I was given the silent treatment, and have not heard from anyone or seen my money back.

• Rachel (2/5): The room was just ok, the host was extremely unpleasant - The host was very rude, was always asking for more money for things that are not guests responsibility to pay for, there were several days when there was no hot water to use, shared spaces were not kept clean, and the noise from the upstairs tenants was loud and banging would go on all night.

• Danielle (1/5): Bad - Nothing the owner is a horrible person The owner is an a****** and the damage deposit is outrageous, I didn't realize how much the damage deposit was and I wasn't allowed to stay... And the owner refused to refund my money... So I got to pay for a stay I didn't even go to.. 10/10 don't recommend.

Just watch other guests - The room, the location, the full TV choices: Netflix, crave etc The fact that while watching a show in the living room trying to have peace n quiet, 2 YOUNG girls came in the house and immediately asked me for the wifi code. Well if your legally there the owner supplies the wifi code via confirmation email. I immediately felt uncomfortable and left my show 25 mins in and went to my LOCKED ROOM. Very uncomfortable. Not cool to rent to young girls with a pound of makeup on and pushy towards other guests

• Noranoelle (3/5): Poor - Lock on the door Creepy person in the room next to me , building gave me halfway house vibes. Was only there for less then 12 hours mostly tried to sleep, kids running around made it easier for me to sleep felt like I was at my sister's house 🏠

• Alexander (3/5): Good for 1 night but would not consider for a longer stay - The room was very comfy. The full kitchen was useful. The owner did not send information to get into the house and was not immidiately available by phone. The shared areas smelled heavily of weed.
• Mariana (1/5): Not safe or comfortable for solo travellers. - Pros: professional communication by host and prompt. Bedroom doors have locks, passcode access to main door. Offers parking. Cons: customer service and experience were horrible. Booked a room with private bath due to health and safety concerns I have. got the confirmation for the room and days later was told it was not available. I spoke about my concerns to the property manager through message and was told I could not receive a partial refund for the inconvenience (even though the room I was offered instead was cheaper when originally booking) In the end with all my concerns and questions not addressed the room I had originally booked (and told was not available) was not even used during my stay. Incredibly frustrating and would not recommend for solo female travellers.
