Guest Reviews
- Elkins (8/5): Amazing location, stunning roof terrace and plenty of room. - The location is fantastic, right beneath the Acropolis and close to some fantastic restaurtants. All the major attractions are easily within walking distance. As a base to explore Athens it was ideal. The house is in need of a little maintenance and updating in places. The need to turn on the hot water at the fuse box half an hour before you want a shower wasn't ideal! However although it was basic and functional, it was clean and tidy and perfect for what we needed.
- Tadeusz (5/5): Great location and facilities but could be so much better with a little more care. - The house is in a fantastic location close to all Athens archeological sites shopping and restaurants. Has a lift and can accommodate multiple guests comfortably with a fantastic rooftop space. It’s a pity the house managers do not listen to previous reviews. They are not doing justice to what could be a great house. This house could be a premier accommodation option in Athens but we found the rooftop still had old damaged furniture and dead plants, doonas were dirty, the kitchen lacked basic condiments. The property managers need to improve their performance.
- Maria (7/5): -
- Michael (8/5): The location was great and the view from the rooftop was breathtaking! - The rooftop furniture was in need of repair or replacement.
- Michele (7/5): Wonderful location tight under the Acropolis but charming property needs maintenance. - The location is excellent and the roomy villa is charming . Maintenance of property was poor- kitchen lacked basic cleaning equipment, broken and loose power points, dirty, neglected courtyard and roof terrace with all of the pot plants dead.

- Rasha (1/5): Extremely disappointing – not suitable for guests - The location and view from dirty rooftop - the chairs were not suitable to sit on them Our stay at this property was truly terrible, and I strongly advise others to avoid it. We booked six nights through Booking.com and left after just two due to the following issues:
• Broken promises: We requested extra pillows in advance and were told they’d be provided for free. Upon arrival, we were asked to pay because they failed to prepare them.
• Dirty and neglected: The apartment was not clean, the rooftop, garden, and entrance were dirty and poorly maintained. The toilets were smelly. Duvets were given without covers and smelled bad.
• Personal storage inside the apartment: There were boxes, suitcases, and other stored items inside, which appeared to belong to the owners, totally unprofessional and made the place feel cluttered and unwelcoming.
• Elevator not working: We had to carry all our luggage and kids up several floors. Management assumed I was stuck in the elevator and took no action for over two hours.
• Air conditioning not working: Only the ground floor was cool. The upper floors were unbearably hot, and we all had to sleep in one room.
• No hot water: Despite following all instructions, the water heater never worked.
We requested a full refund for the four nights we didn’t stay. They only offered two nights and have not responded since.
This place is not guest-ready and should not be listed on Booking.com in this condition.
- Christine (8/5): Stunning location in the heart of Athens Plaka district, surrounded by restaurants, bars, quaint alleyways and shopping. - You cannot beat the location. And any negatives about the property are overridden by the stunning location. It is literally beneath the acropolis with magnificent views of Athens from the rooftop in the apartment. It is comfortable and charming and has everything you need. The hosts were responsive and helpful. There is a lift in the apartment which is helpful for those less mobile. It says 3 double bedrooms but one only has a 3/4 bed and definitely couldn’t comfortably sleep two people. The furniture on the rooftop is tired and the plants are all dead. It could do with a little bit of love. This didn’t detract from our stay though and we loved to sit on the rooftop in the evening and watch Athens below

- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - Magnificent property. 3 stories with elevator, gorgeous view of the city and the acropolis, véry private and quiet. Magical stay. Highly recommend. Thank you for an incredible stay. Nothing.
- Sara (10/5): The best place to stay if you want to be close to many of Athens’ main sights. - The location is fantastic and the view is wonderful. Charmingly decorated, with comfortable bedrooms and efficient AC. The terrace is great. The kitchen is quite poorly equipped. There’s a lack of basic items – for example, there were no teaspoons at all and hardly any glasses or mugs. Both the stove and the oven were broken during our stay. These things can happen, of course, but since we hadn’t been informed, we had already bought food to cook dinner…
- Krystel (9/5): Beautiful villa with a stunning view - The villa is very charming. Location is perfect. Beds are comfy. The rooftop is gorgeous! Bathrooms need renovation.
Cleaning can be better
- Shagun (9/5): Left a piece of our hearts there - The location, comfort, decor The gas stove didn’t work
- Tasneem (9/5): Lovely stay in the heart of Plaka great for families and groups - Perfect location in the heart of Plaka and a short walk to the Acropolis. Lovely quirky house with lots of space for a family. There was even a lift. The amazing roof terrace was the icing on the cake. Cooker did not work.
- Jennifer (9/5): Communications with staff was easy and quick! - Location was great! Felt right at home.
- Lena (10/5): A true princess's home, overlooking the city of her heart beneath the majestic Acropolis. - We initially had a hiccup with the key, but it was sorted out fairly. Honestly, words cannot do justice to describe this wonderful place. Starting the mornings on the rooftop with a coffee or freshly squeezed juice was amazing, and finishing off the evening with a glass of wine—right under the Acropolis—was unforgettable. The view of the old rooftops and watching people stop to take photos under the tree was amusing; we even found ourselves betting on who would stop there next. Having the church next door, although mainly closed, felt very special. If you ask me now where I would rather be in the world (besides next to my family and loved ones), I would pick this house, especially for the rooftop. I could truly connect with the energy in the air. I am already saving up to return to Athens so that I can spend more time in this house; fingers crossed it is still available! The plants dying due to lack of water. I understand it is hard to maintain as the visitors change all the time and housekeepers dont have the opportunity to be inside on a daily basis. If I was living in Athens I would volunteer my time to come and water them.
- Thomas (10/5): Really really nice vacation - Extreamly nice location. Very quick and polite replies when we mailed questions.
Would been even more perfect if there was a short guide-line to the apartment. e.g. How to handle waste (where to get rit of it, what should be sorted, etc), how to use the stove, etc Liked everything
- Mary (6/5): It was OK - Location, terrace, compfy beds and pillows, lots of space. Hanging electrical outlet, non working kitchen appliances, poor exterior property maintenance, no communication with property owner.
- Debi (9/5): Location Location Location!! Nice private home in great area! - Location was amazing!! This home is situated in between all the best places to visit in Athens- Monastiraki, Plaka, Syntagma, Acropolis, the Ancient and Roman Agoras, etc. Everything is 1-10 min walk. It is 1 min from the famous Mnisikleous stairs with all the wonderful restaurants. The home is private with a small seating foyer and master bedroom on the lower floor. The inside stairs and elevator take you up to the 2 bedrooms (smaller than a queen bedroom and larger than a twin bedroom) and full bath on the middle floor; and also the comfy living room, dining room, kitchen, and half bath on the top floor. There is an amazing roof top terrace with spectacular views of the city and Acropolis. The mattresses were not spectacular. The "queen" bed on the middle floor was not actually a standard size queen bed, but rather more like a full. The home was still being cleaned when we arrived at 6pm, but the cleaners quickly finished up. They forgot to leave some important things like towels but the staff was very responsive to send some over the next morning.
- Ecraighead (8/5): Great location, but could be better looked after. - Loved to location and especially the rooftop patio. Very close to attractions The house is lovely but not well looked after: spider webs on chairlegs. Lacked essentials: handsoap (no other soaps/shampoos as well), no dishtowel, 1 teaspooon!, insufficient pillows and crockery, broken switches, hairdrier not working.
ALSO: IT ADVERTISES 2 QUEEN BEDS BUT ONE IS DOUBLE ONLY
- David (10/5): Amazing!!!!! - The house its Amazing and very close to Plaka and many very interesting places!!
- Vanessa (9/5): Excellent. If I returned to Athens I would stay here without a doubt. - The location was excellent. The property had an authentic Greek beauty to it. We couldn’t find how to turn the hot water on.
- Aurelie (6/5): If you want to do camping in a nice house with a view, well located you ll be good. Until better maintened with a minima - The view from rooftop is breathtaking.
The location is perfect.
The house was probably a nice family house but not maintained. No hot water!!!
No toilet paper (in all 3 toilets) and no soap/shampoo (impossible to find Saturday night/Sunday morning).
No gaz/operational cooking station.
All the nice plants are dead. A number of light bulbs are out of order. Even the table on the rooftop is broken. A clear sign that this house is a money making machine without respect for tourists.
Low reactivity from management company Mint and no solution was found in our 3 days stay.
The showers/toilets are not clean/full of mold and yellow filth in the corners.
- Brian (7/5): We loved this place, the layout, the view and the location in the quieter part of the Plaka. - location is fantastic - in the upper Plaka - close to the Acropolis and away from the crowd!
nice place on 3 floors with two bathrooms and an incredible view roofdeck - it is nice layout for a family with older children that can spread out with the main bedroom with insuite bath on first and the other two bedrooms/bathroom the next floor up. The top floor is comfortable and has it own bathroom too! needs a bit of repair (towel rack fell off, second floor bathroom faucet is loose in framework, and small ants in the kitchen which honestly are probably everywhere in Greece.
- Gino (9/5): Great location in a cozy narrow street under the Acropoli, great roof top with amazing view -
- Konrad (10/5): Wonderful flat, fantastic roof terrace and ideal location. -
- Antonis (8/5): Very good - Great location, terrace, elevator. Well decorated. Internet was not working. It could be better cleaned.
- Gabriel (10/5): Very comfortable and relaxing - Well located to see all the site n great restaurants shops Nothing I can say it was great
- Aaron (10/5): Wish I was here for a week. Perfect experience for the Culture. - Most amazing location ever!! Epic. Recommending to everyone. Rooftop patio! Has its own elevator. Great personality. 15 feet from a Cafe, a dozen Cafes on the block, open very late, but quiet area. Shopping Tons of shopping a couple blocks walk. Has Washer, but didnt see a dryer. Slight walk from a driving road. Bed wasn't amazing, but absolutely love the place. Just one key so leave it in the lock box.
- Roger (8/5): Very good - Lovely location. The roof view. Attention to detail - not cleaned properly. Showers need updating. Some items that you could expect were missing eg, kitchen towels
- Oksana (1/5): Worst vacation rental I have stayed at - Location Service, no communication from host. No toilet paper, no kitchen towels, no coffee and no instructions where to buy them.
- Della (10/5): grateful - location all good!
- Pauline (9/5): We had a great time - Location Bed was soft
Had some cleaning issues my friend had asthma
Will send over pictures
- Harley (10/5): A great home base in the heart of the Plaka - Beautiful place in the heart of the Plaka. Absolutely stunning setting with uninterrupted views of Mt Lykabettus. So beautiful and in a quiet yet vibrant part of historic Athens. Will be back for sure! Little bit old and the cot was hard to find but these are very minor issues.
- Ameair (5/5): Passable - The location waa great Very hard to get in touch with anyone about the place. One roll of toilet paper for 5 guest no coffee or tea
- Adrian (7/5): fabulous location - with a little TLC and good communication this property would be 10 odour of 10 across the board - amazing location and lovey inside with good interior design. The roof terrace was amazing throughout the day and the lift was very helpful outside areas needed a good clean to put them on a par with the inside.
