• Almut (8/5): - Die optimale Lage neben den Butrintausgrabungen.So konnten wir morgen nach dem Frühstück schon in den Park, bevor alle Touristenbusse kamen!
• Hansjoerg (9/5): Schönes Hotel in hervorragender Lage - Schönes Gebäude in hervorragender Lage direkt am Eingang von Butrint. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Dusche ist renovierungsbedürftig.
• Blümel (7/5): - Das albanischen Frühstück entspricht nicht so ganz unseren deutschen Gewohnheiten. Mir hat z.B. das Müsli gefehlt. Aber wer es deftig liebt, kommt auf seine Kosten. Wenn man sich für Butrint und die Archäologie interessiert und später zur Ruhe kommen möchte ist hier richtig..

• Pascal (3/5): moyen - Nous avons réservé 2 chambres identiques et adjacentes mais une d'elle outre qu'elle était à l'étage du bas, était minuscule, sombre, pas sécurisée (accès direct par un muret à l'arrière) , de plus un chien dormait dans le couloir et aboyait la nuit. • Galen (8/5): Cool mountain lodge-style building, great location, friendly staff, good rooms, good breakfast - Within walking distance of Butrint Archaeological Park, this hotel is a gem. The stone and wood construction is quite nice, and the interior is pleasant. It has that relaxed mountain feel. The room rates are very reasonable. Rooms have small balconies, which would be great for summer cooling. The rooms are large by European standards, though the bathroom is quite small. Unlike many hotels, the electricity remains on when you leave the room so you can leave items to charge. There’s plenty of outdoor seating for the restaurant as well as some indoor seating. We did not have dinner or lunch, so we can’t comment on their quality. We did have breakfast included with our room rate (eggs prepared as desired plus cheese, olives, and vegetables in the Albanian style, and a type of fried dough ball called petulla), our breakfasts were cooked well and nicely presented. Note the menu for lunch and dinner is a bit pricey, but Hotel Lydia is the only restaurant for several miles. The nearby town of Ksamil has many café-style grill restaurants that are less expensive but parking is difficult there. The staff was very nice and personable. Parking is easy. If you’re visiting Butrint, Hotel Lydia would be my first choice. Of course, if you are visiting Ksamil or Sarandë for several days as well, a Ksamil or Sarandë hotel that offers parking is more convenient if Butrint is a side trip in your Ksamil or Sarandë vacation. The showers are enclosed only by a curtain that doesn’t keep water off the floor, so save a hand towel to dry the floor after showering. Note that, typical for many inexpensive hotels, there’s just one outlet by each bed so you have ti unplug the side lamps to plug in your phone charger.

C'est le seul dans ce secteur et par conséquent le coin est très calme et apaisé (ça change de Ksamil non loin de là qui est très/trop fréquenté). Le personnel est très sympa. L'hôtel est un peu "dans son jus" et mériterait une petite mise au goût du jour.

• David (7/5): Great location/stay for the Butrint site - A wonderful location for nearby the Butrint archaeological site which was great to go round. We got there by driving over the nearby river on the ramshackle chain ferry which was great fun. We have only done a similar ride once before (in Spain). I bet its more reliable than the joke one in Cowes, I.O.W.! The staff were friendly at check in and the meals. There is nowhere else nearby to go so be prepared to eat and drink at the hotel. That was fine although the beers were the same price for their 33ml bottles as others charged for the 50ml. I think my basic grasp of economics explains why! We liked dinner and breakfast. TV not good - see below - but the wifi was fine so we could listen to Radio Caroline's internet broadcasts and check emails. We had the end, dual aspect, room, on the top shared balcony, and sat outside there when we were back at the hotel. Dinner was a bit chaotic with the family and their young child eating there as well but we found that interesting! Folk wanting a quiet meal would need to drive elsewhere. Never did seem to get the TV to work very well!

• Constanze (9/5): Wunderbares Hotel an den Ruinen - Viel besser als erwartet! Die Lage ist toll- und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut! Bei unserem Aufenthalt waren nur wenige Übernachtungsgäste da- und das ganze Familienleben der Gastgeber spielte sich im Gastraum ab. Sehr sympathisch:) Das Frühstück war unglaublich viel und gut! Das Personal war sehr nett. Die Badsituation ist etwas schwierig- keine Duschabtrennung und alles etwas wackelig. Es war nachts kalt, die Decke etwas zu dünn.
• Kathrin (4/5): - Die Lage ist das einzig wirklich Gute, was erwähnenswert ist - wenn man an der archäologischen Ausgrabung interessiert ist, die 5 Min zu Fuß um die Ecke liegt. Die ist allerdings wunderbar, eine kleine Halbinsel, sehr viel zu entdecken und landschaftlich sehr schön! Das Hotel ist ziemlich runtergerockt, die Betreiber eine zwar sehr nette Familie, die sich bemüht, die aber ein ziemliches Chaos überall machen ...fast schon etwas Verwahrlosung. Das Zimmer war soweit sauber und in Ordnung, aber ehrlich gesagt waren wir froh, dass wir nur eine Nacht bleiben mussten. Ach ja - ggüber vom Hotel ist direkt ein Busbahnhof, ab 10 Uhr wird es voll, dann kommen in Strömen die Besucher der Ausgrabungen.

• Ro (7/5): Good for a short stay when you want to visit the Butrint park / archeological site - The staff was very friendly and the meals were decent (breakfast / diner). The room that was appointed to us had a terrible view (look out on a filthy terrace / backyard). The bathroom had a smell coming from the drain. The hotel was noisy and everything could be heard through the thin walls.

• Elisabeth (7/5): suffisant pour une nuit l'hôtel mériterait un bon rafraichissement exterieur - le cadre ,proche du site archéologique,l'amabilité du personnel,petit déjeuner correct,la chambre,le jardin autour de l'hôtel le bruit, notre chambre était au dessus des cuisines ,la hotte aspirante des cuisines faisait un bruit infernale,heureusement elle était éteinte la nuit,le parking soi disant privé ,envahi par tous les visiteurs du site de Butint,difficile de trouver une place.
• trin dinh (5/5): A short night - The room was spacious and the bed confortable, the bathroom is a bit old but good pressure is the shower. The evening waiter was very nice and spoke perfect english. The food was nothing special. Unfortunately we had the room above the kitchen: the smell comes right into the room and the vent is really loud. We had music from the terrace until midnight and started again at 8 in the morning. The door of the room is so fin you can hear people talking and laughing until midnight…. if you want a nice quiet night this is not the place.

La chambre est très spacieuse et décoré avec goût et la literie parfaite Le soir repas dans le restaurant, un peu cher mais bon produit. Le petit-déjeuner est simple mais bon Dans notre chambre impossible de capter la wifi. De plus, nous étions au dessus de la cuisine, bruit très sourd même la fenêtre fermé. Attention étant proche de la Grèce le paiement par CB n'est pas possible par manque de connexion ce qui n'était pas prévu de notre côté...

Sítio desleixado, muito fraco em termos de conforto, degradado, casa de banho muito desagradável, pequena, com duche sem cortina e sanita a verter água ao nível do piso. • Valentine (7/5): Ok stay at Livia - It was really nice to be just beside the Butrint archaeological site The building is beautiful We couldn’t sleep (the rooms are paperwalls) and we could hear cutlery and kitchen all day all night People screamed and cats fought We booked the hotel to go really early to Butrint and enjoy the calmness of the morning We went for breakfast at 8.10 and were served quite late then it as long to check out so we arrived in Butrint (5min walk) but later than we had hoped.
• David (9/5): 3 night stay with family - I arrived for our 3 night syay with a little trepidation having read the reviews. Yes the place is a little tired but it is clean and comfortable. They fitted in a third bed for my daughter - I never expected this to be a full sized bed as we had booked a double room. Breakfast (included instead price) was really lovely with eggs cooked to order. Food was good quality albeit a little more expensive than elsewhere. They have a captive audience given this is the only place to eat at Butrint. I would have paid alot more in the UK. For me the concern is that children could easily fall over the balonies as they have a very low walls. Please repair cistern of the toilet running all the time and shower attachments broken - Room 304.

• Fadoua (4/5): - Petit déjeuner correct mais long à être servi. Pas du tout professionnel, on voit qu’ils n’ont aucune expérience dans l’hôtellerie. Le service est très long car il font plusieurs choses en même temps. Il y a des jouets d’enfants partout, on a pas l’impression d’être dans un hôtel mais plus dans une maison d’hôtes. Le soir un cauchemar, la terrasse est envahi de guêpes et de moustiques donc pas possible de rester boire son verre tranquillement. La nuit on entend les chiens des propriétaires aboyer pendant des heures, du coup impossible de dormir.

• Juliette (3/5): Décevant mais lieu agréable - la localisation est vraiment sympa Lieux cher(nourriture etc), équipements médiocres et sales, personnel agréable mais nous avions l’impression de les déranger comme si ils étaient en famille. Vue mensongère pas de vue sur le lac mais sur un jardin mal entretenu. Pas de possibilité de brancher le frigo et chambre minuscule.

La sala in cui viene fatto il check-in viene usata anche per mangiare le persone e accanto c’è la cucina. Quando si entra e si esce dalla stanza si passa in questo corridoio che odora di cibo. Ci sono due cani che girano tra i tavoli anche all’interno mentre la gente mangia. Andrei avanti con la lista ma è lunga.
• Paolo (6/5): Capelli bianchi - Sicuramente la posizione adiacente al parco è ottimale ed il personale cordiale e accogliente La camera era decisamente piccola e poco curata , ci è stata data una brandina aggiuntiva che dire scomoda è poco. Alle 4 finestre c'era solo una zanzariera !! Benvenute zanzare , vespe e api. Bagno scomodo, senza tenda alla doccia che fa si che si allaga tutto. La colazione non è male ma ho troppo salata o troppo dolce. ,La cosa più grave e pericolosissima sono i balconi delle stanze, Senza nessuna protezione!!! abbiamo rischiato di perdere nostro figlio piccolo che in un momento di distrazione è uscito da solo rischiando di cadere giù, in Italia avrebbero fatto chiudere la struttura.

Et tout ça c est vraiment dommage que le client ne soit pas plus au cœur de leur préoccupations A noter aussi des lits et draps pas terribles

• Raul (7/5): Buena ubicación para visitar las ruinas de Butrint - Me gustó que estuviese al lado de las ruinas de Butrint, que para visitarlas pronto está muy bien, aunque estés alejado del resto de cosas. La comida también está muy buena en el restaurante, aunque el desayuno no sea muy allá. El desayuno no estaba tampoco demasiado bueno, y hay bastante ruido en las habitaciones, por lo que dormir no fue fácil.

• Michel (6/5): Matig - Het hotel is eerder een tussenstop voor grote groepen mensen (hele bussen vol) die naar het burtrini park gaan. Bij aankomst zaten er letterlijk 150 mensen op het terras. Uit andere reviews werd mij duidelijk dat het er rustig zou zijn maar niets is minder waar.

• Veronique (6/5): - Het ontbijt was prima, je had keuze tussen omelet, scramled eggs en pannenkoeken (zout en zoet) Kamer was proper. Wij hebben al meer dan een week in Albanië rondgetrokken en de andere accommodaties waren dezelfde prijsklasse, maar de kamers waren veel beter. De badkamer was wat afgeleefd, douchekop kon niet meer opgehangen worden, geen douchegordijn, was kleine douche dus alles nat. Ook werkte de ijskast niet. Personeel was eerder bezig met het restaurant waar alle toeristen voor het butrint national Park kwamen eten. En ons inchecken leek wat veel moeite. Ook stond er dat er parkeerplek was en je niet hoefde reserveren, tja deze parkeerplaats werd door diezelfde toeristen ingenomen, we hadden geluk dat er net iemand wegreed. Dus ofwel dat zeggen op hun pagina, ofwel kunnen ze deel afzetten voor hun gasten en dat je laat weten dat je parkeerplek nodig hebt. Prijs kwaliteit komt het niet overeen met wat we in vlore, Berat, Gjirokastër, Shkoder, theth en valbone hebben gehad.

O facto de um quarto não corresponder ao por nos alugado e a água da casa de banho sair para o quarto. Tivemos de pôr toalhas para isso não acontecer.

• Eva (3/5): Echt een no go! - Laten we zoeken naar drie positieve punten van dit hotel. We verbleven hier 1 nacht. Er was 1 personeelslid heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het hotel ligt op een prachtige locatie. En het ontbijt was goed en ruim voldoende. Locaal ontbijt met keuzemogelijkheden voor ei of pancakes. De bedden waren redelijk. De kamer was echt niet oke. Niet eens in de buurt. We hadden uitzicht op de tuin, wat ze beter puin hadden kunnen noemen. Het balkon was niet te gebruiken, omdat er geen balustrade zit en de luiken naar buiten opendraaien en de halve meter die er was meteen vullen. Alles in de kamer was kapot, roestig en smerig. De douche lekte, kon niet hangen en was verroest. Ook de spiegel was verroest. De stroomdraden hingen los aan de muur. De muur was niet overal afgewerkt. En je kon je kont niet keren. Laat staan je koffer ergens openen. We hebben gelukkig kunnen slapen en in de ochtend met gierende banden kunnen vertrekken.

• Karen Amanda (7/5): Great location - Very close to the archaeological site. Helpful staff. Shady garden. Everyone was very tolerant of my.being early: I discovered later that my phone had updated incorrectly and gave the time as an hour ahead. I would like to apologise for that. Not the hotel's fault but mosquitos are very bad and there were two power cuts in one night. Food could have been better - they cater for a lot of tourists groups and it showed. Missed opportunity to provide more information about the location.

Le bruit des portes et des serrures( un peu) ,et le couloir qui résonne ,avec une enfant parlant fort et criant ,à minuit , longuement,dans le couloir!Manque de chance!
• gilles (8/5): Bonne étape à 2 pas du site de BUTRINT - excellent emplacement à 2 pas du site de BUTRINT et du canal marin personnel accueillant et serviable malgré le nombre de touriste qui viennent au site la cuisine est bonne et le soir après le départ des cars le lieu est calme la salle de bain est petite , pas de rideau de douche tout est inondé quand on prend la douche

Les terrasses de l'hôtel sont à l'ombre et le repas du soir était excellent. La soirée a été bruyante: les chiens de l'hôtel ont aboyé toute la soirée et une partie de la nuit. Personne ne les arrête. C'est dommage, car ça nous a un peu gâché le plaisir. Nous nous attendions à un endroit calme et serein et ce n'était pas vraiment le cas...

• Lyn Taylor (8/5): A nice, quiet place to stay near Butrint. Good value for money. - The location was excellent if you want to visit Butrint National Park and it was only a five minute bus trip to Ksamil (bus stop is just outside the hotel). The hotel is set in big grounds with lots of pleasant and shady outdoor seating. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Breakfast was great, and it was lovely to enjoy it outside in the garden each day. Livia also provided lunch and dinner if you needed them, and the food was very good. Note that there is nowhere else to eat nearby. Good value for money and a quiet place to stay if you'd like to avoid the crowds in Ksamil and Surande. The interior of the hotel is very dated, but quite ok given the price. However, some serious maintenance is definitely required in our bathroom - the shower needs a shower screen or curtain, the shower rose needs a wall mounting and the toilet needs to be fixed (it runs constantly). Also, the balcony is very dangerous as there is a tripping hazard at the door and only a low barrier on the balcony. A hand rail needs to be installed to avoid a nasty accident.

• Claudia (7/5): Accanto al sito archeologico di Butrinto - L'albergo è in una posizione ottimale per visitare il sito archeologico di Butrinto. Ha un bellissimo giardino e offre un'ottima colazione Le stanze e soprattutto il bagno molto piccoli. La nostra stanza era purtroppo accanto alla canna fumaria della cucina del ristorante, quindi molto rumorosa anche con i vetri chiusi. Il giardino è bellissimo ma abitato da zanzare che non siamo riusciti a tenere lontane nonostante l'abbondante dose di repellente con cui abbiamo cercato di proteggerci
• FREDERIC (9/5): A 2 pas du site de Butrint - Un hôtel très agréable, bien placé tout à côté du magnifique site de la ville de Butrint. Cela permet de commencer la visite tôt, avant l'arrivée des groupes. Cuisine pas extraordinaire, mais correcte et qui permet de ne pas retourner en ville (trop touristique). Possibilités de balade en bateau sur la lagune.

• Famke (8/5): Goed! - Mooi hotel. Lekker eten. Vriendelijke bediening. De rustige ligging is een verademing tegenover het vreselijke Ksamil. Alles is wat verouderd. De badkamer is volledig nat na het douchen ( mini douchebak in combinatie met het douchegordijn). We wilden een paar uurtjes lezen in de schommelbanken op het eerste verdiep. De kuisvrouw was aan het bellen op de enige bank volledig in de schaduw. Dus wij moesten op de half zon bank waar de kuisvodden te drogen hingen. Geen ramp, maar je zou denken dat gasten voorgaan?
• Johan (6/5): - De koele tuin en de nabijheid van butrintpark. Hierdoor konden we vroeg het park bezoeken voor de grote massa toestroomde en het te warm werd. S'avonds werden we naar ons bed gekeken, er waren weinig gasten en doorheen de dag hebben deze mensen waarschijnlijk veel klanten die het nabije park bezocht hadden. Wij hadden geen douchegel, wel zeep en de douchekop wees naar de muur en viel eruit als je het water op grote kracht liet stromen. Toch hebben we goed geslapen.

Das Hotel erfüllte absolut nicht meine Erwartungen. - Das Zimmer war sehr klein und dunkel. - Der Balkon war nicht zu benutzen, direkt neben dem Küchenabzug. Es roch nach Küche und altem Fett. - Nach dem Duschen war das gesamte sehr kleine Badezimmer unter Wasser, da keine Duschabtrennung vorhanden war. - Das benutzen der Toilette war nur möglich, wenn man mit einem Fuß in der Dusche stand.
