• Michael (3/5): Only beautiful on the outside. - Location, great spot for a choice of restaurants and bars. One helpful receptionist who tried to smooth things over and spoke good English. Advertised swimming pool was closed two years ago ,(unless there is another 'beautiful ' hotel). The guy on reception told me that a different company took over. Cheap mattress, uncomfortable. T.v. channels unreliable. Watered down soap in shower (one choice). A request for an early morning call forgotten about, receptionist asleep when I tried to check out. Not as advertised, pretty tired on the inside ,better looking on the outside.

The noise from the street was unbearable. I have never given such a poor rating before but this hotel deserves a poor rating.

Great location- staff were so friendly and helpful especially Vincent the manager and Paul! Great English spoken here and very clean and comfortable room.
• Prem (5/5): Good location but needs improvement - Good location to stay as you get to see bunch of restaurants to eat and convenient stores They didn’t clean my room until I asked in the 2nd day. Further more they didn’t clean my bad and didn’t keep brush for the next day . I had to ask for towels after the 2nd day . They said laundry service available but not provided . Overall you get to reap only the benefits of good location . they need to do in action rather than impressing people by talks

• Turnbull (1/5): Faulty towers time ten. - The location was central to were I needed to be The night manager was frightening as he tried to enter my room. When I arrived my room wasn’t available even though I had booked from 1/4/24 and advised I was arriving after 5am on 2/4/24. I lodged a complaint with booking.com which caused the night manager to phone my room at 11pm that night and then come to my room on 3/4/24. Where he tried to force his way into my room. He then proceeded to ring doorbell and scream repeatedly “she is lying” towards my friend. The guy is not stable. Cleaning isn’t great and they regularly forget to do it.
• Mark (1/5): A rundown, possibly unsalvageable remnant of what was once a reasonable Hotel. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. - We had stayed here many times in previous years when the Hotel was under different management. The only good thing about this Hotel now is its proximity to some of the lovely things in Saigon. That said, there are great many hotels in the area and we will never ever go back to this property again. I didn’t like it when we arrived and the night manager told us we would have to cancel our Booking.com and take a lesser room for 20% off. BTW 20% off the Superior room we 'd booked was the cost of the standard room. We had just flown eight hours from Australia and wanted the room that we had booked. We were told that the superior room was not available until the next day so therefore we should cancel our booking completely and pay them directly in order to access a slightly lower rate for a standard room for the first night we were there. Meaning that they would have kept whatever commission booking.com get and worse they could toss us out and tell us to go elsewhere. I refused to cancel my booking.com reservation as I was concerned that they would not honour the booking. I did not like the way the night Manager called. Mr. Flower told me that if I didn’t take what was offered to me we could leave and find another hotel. I did not like that in nine days. The sheets on the bed were never changed. I did not like the city view room Was actually a window that looked at a concrete wall. I did not like the fact that while I was away Mr. Flower came knocking on the door at 9pm intimidating my wife and our friend insisting they remove a negative review of the hotel’s service. He even put his foot in the door so that they could not close the door as he tried to access the room. I did not like the fact that I had to threaten to call the police in order to get some sense of sureity that my wife and our friend were safe. I did not like that the hot water in the shower only worked in the mornings. I did not like the TV didn’t work properly. I did not like that the safe in the cupboard was not even attached to the cupboard and the mechanism wouldn't lock. I did not that the same cupboard was so damaged and dirty that you couldn’t hang clothes in it for fear of them becoming filthy. I did not like feeling unsafe in this hotel.

The wifi was not working and when asked for assistance it was not forthcoming. Also the housekeepers trolley was outside the door of my room for the entire time I was there

• Rishi (1/5): Bad - I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone! It was one of the worst experiences during our entire two-week trip in Vietnam. We checked into this hotel last week around midnight, and we requested an extension until 4:00 p.m. the following day. The receptionist agreed and charged us 200,000 Vietnamese Dong for the extension. The next day, at around 3:00 p.m., we received a call demanding that we vacate immediately because other guests were waiting and no rooms were available. I explained that we had already paid for the extension, but the person on the phone claimed they couldn't issue a refund because they weren't the manager. They also mentioned they provided us with a three-person bedroom, and the 200,000 Dong was for that specific room. However, I never requested a three-person room; they assigned it to us, perhaps because it was the only available option. This situation is unacceptable and shouldn't have happened. It's a clear case of mismanagement and miscommunication on their part.

• Rodolfo (1/5): My nightmare in HORRIBLE SAIGON HOTEL BUI VIEN 40/27 - Nothing Unfortunately i don t have enough time to go to the police to report the ogrish organizzazione there. I PAYED 19 DOLLARS ONE NIGHT FOR A VERY SMALL ROOM WITHOUT WINDOW, THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY, THERE ARE PLENTY HOTELS IN THE AREA PLEASE DON T GO THERE! I stayed 3 nights from 18 to 21 november, and now for just one horrible night, i left a pair of shoes for room problem of my bags, and back from North i asked and had a lot of problems to kave them back! They could at all help me for my check in on line, as the normal hotels do. I asked for keeping my 2 little bags in deposit, cause I went to Phu Quoc island, so firstly they ask a lot of money as mafia padrinos, they decline my request. Totally f@#$ed up!

• Mari (8/5): Very good - We stayed here on our first few days when we arrived in Vietnam. great location not too near the loud Walking Street. and on our last few days we came back because we simply like this hotels location and everything that comes with it. The morning guy front desk clerk is very customer oriented. Always helpful. We got one of our luggage held up from hanoi to ho chi min. He helped us with the phone call to interpret the vietnamese-english (lost baggage: airport). What we did not like the lady receptionist at the evening shift. we stayed here total of 5 days not a night goes by that she wasnt sleeping or always on a video call. No wonder a bystander stole money at her counter while she was in deep sleep. So careless. The job is not for her. Everytime we ask something (frequently asked quesrions by tourist) she always know nothing.
• Eli (5/5): Disappointed but the staff and location were good - The location was great The room wasn't very clean and even when "please clean my room" card was hung on the door it was still not done at the end of the day we had to go to reception and then wait some time for someone to do it. The laundry service wrecked some of our clothing with what looks like bleach. The room didn't have half of the amenities listed.
• Sean (8/5): A clean hotel in a central location - perfect for travellers! - Stayed here at the start of our trip and at the end so definitely a good choice for anybody travelling Ho Chi Minh and looking to be nice and central. Nice and clean, staff were mostly helpful, and a hot shower. Said they had no record of our booking on arrival which was an unnecessary stress. Eventually they gave us an upgraded room (so they said), however, the bed wasn’t as big as the one we stayed in at the beginning of our trip, and the ‘upgraded room’ was right next to the stairway to the reception so was very loud in the mornings.
• Sean (8/5): The saviour of our trip to Ho Chi Minh! - This hotel was our saviour. We had travelled for 30 hours and arrived at 9:30pm to our originally booked hotel (which was next door), and to our delight it was infested with cockroaches so we quickly asked for a refund and began to look on booking.com for a new hotel. Luckily for us, this was available and to say we were apprehensive entering the room is an understatement but it was 1000X better! Clean, large bedroom with a separate bathroom that was also clean and fresh towels provided. Location is very central. With the central location does come a fair amount of late night, and early morning noise, but it didn’t affect us too much, just something to be aware of.

Even though I had the confirmation number, he then decided to show me a filthy room and try to upcharge me. This bait-and-switch practice might be standard for some in Vietnam, but this is entirely unacceptable. Avoid like the plague!
