• MIGUEL ÁNGEL (7/5): Buena opción calidad-precio en San José. No merece la pena gastarse más. - Hotel que en líneas generales no destaca por nada , pero que tampoco tiene defectos destacables. El personal es muy amable, la habitación está bien también y el desayuno se compone de lo que allí llaman "gallo pinto", consistente en huevos revueltos con arroz y frijoles, además de café, zumo, tostadas y demás. Está más o menos céntrico; al centro propiamente dicho de la ciudad se puede ir en 30 minutos caminando. Que quede claro también, que todo esto lo estoy diciendo poniendo en la balanza relación calidad-precio. Visto a posteriori, me he alegrado de haberme alojado aquí y no haber pagado más en otros sitios. Más que el hotel en sí, lo que no me gustó fue la ciudad, en el sentido que ni tiene mucho para ver, ni es agradable al paseo (mucha gente tirada por las aceras, olores, etc), y además el tráfico es un horror, por no hablar de los altísimos precios de todo. De ahí que, en caso de querer ir a San José, puede ser una buena idea alojarse en éste hotel, porque para mí, sinceramente, no merece la pena gastar más. Ahora bien, si lo que se quieren es hacer excursiones (que es lo hice yo), mejor ir pensando en alojarse en otro lugar en el que el tráfico no condicione tanto los viajes.

• Dwld (8/5): a great place to stay downtown San Jose - amazing place ...very quite despite close to main commercial streets (avenida 2)...walking distance to many spots. Lovely building with small swimming pool and so called jacuzzi. Very friendly people and good breakfast with on request options. Good wifi and top clean room.They have a closed garage to park your car. almost everything was great....would still have appreciated warm water in jacuzzi....and international free TV channels.

Ebenso sind die Dachterrasse und das etwas verborgene Schwimmbecken als positive Extras zu erwähnen. Mein Zimmer war eher durchschnittlich. Nicht besonders attraktiv, aber soweit alles da, was man braucht. Das Hotel befindet sich ganz in der Nähe vom Tica-Bus-Terminal. Es hat auch genügend Restaurants in der Nähe.
• Christiana (10/5): - Was für ein toller Ort zum Übernachten um San Josè zu besuchen. Etwas abseits vom Trubel aber trotzdem alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Alle waren unglaublich nett. Das Frühstück war toll und die Zubereiterinnen noch toller. Eine Oase mit Pool und Whirlpool, einer tollen Dachterrasse und sehr schönen Zimmern. Wir hatten das Glück dass nur einige Zimmer belegt waren. Wenn es voll ist, kann es womöglich etwas lauter sein. Falls wir jemals wieder in San José sind, dann gerne wieder bei euch!

• Bayly (9/5): Beautiful relaxing welcoming base to explore the region - Comfy, clean room with balcony overlooking beautiful gardens. All staff from reception, restaurant, cleaner and gardeners were friendly and very helpful. Restaurant food was excellent and catered for allergies. It’s an easy 30 minute walk to the town, uber is everywhere and there are lots of tours and activities available.

• Alexandra (9/5): Nos ha gustado! - Super natural con muchas plantas y una piscina. El desayuno estaba muy rico, típico de CR con algo de mermelada y frutas. El trato del personal absolutamente excelente! La zona tranquila y a unos 20 minutos ITPS del aeropuerto. Perfecto para llegar y seguir tu viaje desde alli. El comedor está equipado con bancos de plástico. Es una pena ya que hay tanto material natural en este país tan maravilloso.

• Thomas (9/5): Superb - It's got a lovely roof space. Also has a pool and jacuzzi (i didn't use them but they were tempting). They let me store my bag when i arrived very early, and let me check in ahead of time too. Then also, they let me stick around long after check out. Very friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast up on the roof, birds tweeting around and mountains in the distance.

• Elizabeth (9/5): Our go-to place in SanJose. - We have stayed here many times. We love that it’s a place with personality, not like every other chain hotel. The staff is so friendly and breakfast is great. Easy walk to downtown’s main street.
• Jason (8/5): Nice hotel with plenty of beds in most rooms. Hot water and great amenities. - The breakfast was good with eggs, rice and beans and plenty of fruit. The staff is pleasant and the rooms are nice with several beds. Nothing fancy, just a solid place to stay in a great location. Parking down the street was a bit of a hassle and had to wait for a while to get the car in and out of the garage.

• Cody (4/5): Disappointing - The location for us was good, not far from the tica bus station The beds are bad, and too many beds in the room for just 2 people. Air conditioner didn't work Hot water didn't work No shampoo and conditioner given. This is standard in all hotels around the world. They said we had to purchase shampoo and conditioner. We have stayed in much cheaper hotels and always been given this. No elevator either. Had to carry all suitcases up flights of stairs. Not handicap friendly either.
• Phil (8/5): Great for the bus station - I needed an early start from Tico Bus station, this was excellent. Unfortunately they could not prepare a packaged breakfast of any sort as I had to leave before start time.

• Gerard (1/5): Avoid this hotel. - Lobby and common areas were attractive. The rooms were small and dark with only small interior facing windows. Some rooms didn't have AC. Unacceptable.
• Mike (8/5): Nice but noisy. - A nice clean safe hotel with good amenities. Parking nearby. Very noisy. They're quiet time is ignored. The noise went on past quiet time and started again somewhere in the 5:00 hour of the morning. People were very loud.

• Massimo (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable place, 300 meters from TicaBus bus station. The building is very amazing, we unfortunately spent there just one night. Mike, front desk, was really lovely. Highly recommended. A bit hot with a single ceiling fan in the center of the room.

• Pavlo (10/5): Easily the best hôtel in San Jose. - Easily the best hôtel in San Jose. Very good location, nice staff, beautiful interior with a lot of plants, wonderful pool, amazing jacuzzi. Breakfast on the terrace was incredible, i did not want to leave. No AC in the room, but it is ok, because sun does not go directly to your windows.

• Carlos (10/5): The hotel is a safe place where you can rest and enjoy San José. - I loved the friendly staff, beds were very comfy and the typical costarican breakfast they serve is really good. They have a nice area where you can go and relax while enjoying a nice view of the city. Also, the hotel is located near Sabana Park where you can go there for a walk. I didn’t like the many stairs they have but you get used to.

• Kristina (7/5): For a night after long flight. - Can’t say exactly what. It was clean. But isn’t the value of money. The door lock doesn’t seem safe at all. I’ve had to leave my heavy luggage there by the door, to hear, in case if someone will try to open the door. And the shower system should be not so complicated. I mean, I wanna take the whole shower, not only for my feet.
• Shannan (9/5): Beautiful flowers and scenery that is close to the sites of San Jose - The room was a good size and the bathroom was excellent. The breakfast was good every morning. The fruit and then fresh eggs and rice and beans. The plants all over the hotel were beautiful. There was no hotel, so you need to be able to carry your suitcase up the stairs. The pool was a bit damaged with missing tiles in the bottom.
• Anne (8/5): Perfect place to stay if you are using Tica bus - Perfect location for Tica bus in the morning. Unfortunately we left too early to have breakfast. We also got in very late, so really it was just a place to sleep for the night and met our expectations in that regard. We would stay again, especially if using the Tica bus. No shampoo

• David (9/5): Great value stay in central but quiet location. - Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice outside spaces and very secure with 24 hour reception. Good location as central between the town and the parks. Clean but basic room. Nice rooftop area for breakfast and relaxing. Very good value for money. Review score reflects this. Rooms have louvres for windows which let it all the noise from outside. Luckily it was quiet and peaceful during our stay but when anyone came past the room it was quite loud.
• Eva (8/5): Lovely stay, we enjoyed it a lot. - Very nice welcome from the receptionist, we could do an early check-in without any problem. We really enjoyed the terrace and the jacuzzi/pool. Great breakfast as well. The location also superb, it was right next to a festival in the city. The room itself is not that pretty but still quite decent for the price.

It's a mini jungle adventure in the middle of the city. And the staff is super friendly and welcoming. It would be nice to have blinds in the room (in case you want a bit more darkness when sleeping)

• Vanya (10/5): positive. Very courteous conversation with owner who insisted on speaking to me. - very courteous staff, good breakfast, profusion of plants throughout the property, comfortable room. After complaining to you about non-functioning swimming pool (see below) I was offered a $120 rebate on my bill plus free taxi to airport. To have been warned that the pool was not available because of repairs or renovation. I choose hotels with pools, where possible, due to medical advice on the benefits of swimming to left leg problem.
