• Beatrix (1/5): - A few days before arrival, the host asked me to pay half of the price via PayPal. I should have cancelled the reservation at that point, but they contacted me on WhatsApp and were very nice and understanding, saying that, exceptionally, I could pay the full amount in cash upon arrival. On the morning of my arrival, I received an email from Booking stating that the reservation had been cancelled at the host’s request. When I contacted them via WhatsApp, they claimed my account had probably been hacked, as they had received several similar messages. They assured me the reservation was still valid and that I could come and pay in cash. They also sent me photos of a property called “Seraia Luxury Apartments” (not “Serena”). I had other reservations on Booking at the same time, and nothing unusual happened with them, so my account had definitely not been hacked. I decided to book a hotel instead and informed the host that I did not feel comfortable proceeding outside of Booking’s platform. In my opinion, this place and its pricing are a scam. • Mariah (10/5): Absolutely, madly in-love with this house; Casa Serena! 😍 - I truly loved my stay at Casa Serena so much! 😍🥰 This villa is absolutely beautiful and true to all of the photos! There is a washer and dryer in the house which aren't advertised in the booking but work perfectly fine! So just know that there is a place within the house to wash your clothes if you need to! :) The location of this villa is in a very safe, quiet neighborhood as well with lots of amazing restaurants, cafés and shopping centers nearby! There is a huge mall only a ten minute walk away called the Las Americas mall with a huge grocery story within it for all of your shopping needs! Aside from all of the excellent restaurants, shopping centers and etc. around this location, the house itself has three floors with three bedrooms and four working bathrooms. Three of the bathrooms have their own working showers and all rooms in the house have working air conditioners to help keep you cool all throughout the house. The kitchen is so absolutely beautiful with lots of cupboard space and even a pantry to store everything! :) The pool outside is shared to the surrounding houses from within the Sereia Luxury Villas but, my boyfriend and I went swimming almost every day and no one else from the surrounding villas did at the same time as us so, it was as though the pool was private! :) I love all of the bedrooms, I love all of the furniture and the vibe that this entire villa gives off. I truly just love everything about this villa and I'm so in-love with this entire place! 😍 Everything works just fine in the house and the host is a lovely, trust-worthy woman! I did feel a little sketched out at first only because there aren't that many reviews for this house and the host wants you to pay in cash vs via Booking.com. I decided to try it out regardless because the villa is just too beautiful for the low rate it's at. It was absolutely worth the money and this is going to be the only place I stay from now on whenever I visit Cancún, México! 🧡🏖️ There was truly nothing that I didn't love about this house or about my stay here at Casa Serena! 🥰
• Miguel (10/5): Exceptional - The house and pool were really relaxing. There were restaurants near by that were close enough for walking distance. The kitchen had what we needed to make breakfast and eat our leftovers. The surrounding area is very quiet and safe. The upstairs bedroom with the biggest bed was hard to cool down. Understandable during a heat wave.
• Stephanie (8/5): Traveled with family. . Bathroom for each bedroom. Cooking was easy. Washer & dryer. Temperature easy to control. - Great amount of room. Well appointed. Safe. Quick access, 0.5 miles to shopping. Closer restaurants. Not easily accessible to bus route. Multiple stops, changes to get around. Would like some chairs to sit by pool!
