- Jessica (9/5): - Le lodge est intimiste, bien équipé et l'emplacement est idéal pour visiter la région. Nous avons profité de la piscine, notre terrasse avec vue sur la rivière. Le logement est bien équipé et l'accueil agréable !
- Ana (10/5): An Absolute Gem on the River! - We had an incredible stay at Yuma's Riverfront Resort. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel incredibly welcome and well-taken care of. The entire property is immaculately clean, which really adds to the relaxing atmosphere.
The location is unbeatable, but the real highlight for us was the gorgeous cabanas. They are massive—much larger than your average resort cabana—and provide stunning views of the water & surrounding fields. It was the perfect spot to spend the afternoon, by the gorgous pool. If you’re looking for a peaceful, high-quality getaway in Yuma's, this is the place to be!

- Gerard (10/5): Enthousiasmant - L'ensemble de la propriété. L'architecture et les éléments du pavillon. Et surtout l''extrême gentillesse et disponibilité de Christelle, la gestionnaire de Yuma's
- Sara (10/5): - Back home again we have so great memories of our nice stay at Yuma’s Riverfront Lodge. We enjoyed so much everything, well decorated and clean cabanas, the sound of nature, the wonderful terrace to relax, the refreshing swimmingpool, delicious breakfast, …. You feel like far away from everything but close to the city, restaurants, etc. Just book it, you will not regret it! Thanks Christelle and we wish you all the luck for the future!
- Al (10/5): Couldn’t ask for anything more than what we received. IGNORE GOOGLE MAPS, YUMA’S IS A 5 MINUTE DRIVE TO THE CENTER OF SA - Great location and a serene setting.
Manager is attentive and responds quickly.
Breakfast was delightful. There were no issues!!!
- Stephanie (10/5): - The accommodation was fantastic, tucked away from the town, but beautiful scenery and waking up to the bird song each morning was heaven! The breakfast was lovely. Our host was very knowledgeable and gave us some great suggestions for places to visit and things to do. We would definitely come back here, it was a little bit of luxury compared to some of the other places we've stayed. Our kids loved it too! So peaceful and beautiful. I would say you need transport here, we had a hire car so we're able to get around easily. I think it might be more of a struggle without your own transport.
- Nils (10/5): Sehr tolle Unterkunft - Tolle Cabanas . Sehr modern und stylisch eingerichtet. Super Terrasse mit Ausblick auf den Fluss . Die Gastgeberin ist super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit . Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Nichts
- Thompson (10/5): Exceptional -

- Angela (10/5): Luxurious comfort in the Belize rainforest at a very affordable price! - Our bungalow at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge was gorgeous! Beautiful, modern design, luxurious bedding, spacious bathroom with rain shower, stocked bar fridge & snacks, and incredible rainforest views from our private deck. The new pool was very refreshing, and home-cooked breakfast served at their outdoor kitchen before our daily adventures was amazing! Our stay highly exceeded our expectations for the price - it was glorious for our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers). We used Xplore Inland Tours for three adventures near San Ignacio / Santa Elena: (1) Guided Moutain Pine Ridge Tour (including a visit to Rio Frio Cave, then a traditional Belizian picnic lunch, and a stop to swim in pools and waterfalls at Rio On Pools); (2) Guided Cave Tubing at Nohoch Che'en; and (3) Horseback Riding under the rainforest canopy along a beautiful river. This is a smaller, family-run tour operator that gave us private tours for a better price that huge tour operators with giant groups. Best of both worlds - our guides were amazing and we got such personalized service! They even picked us up and dropped us off at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge each day, instead of us having to find our own way into San Ignacio. Perfect! 10/10 Yuma's is not really close enough to town to walk to restaurants or shops, so you either need to rent a car or hire taxis / car services to drive you around. We ended up getting a car service into town for dinner two of the nights (with the help of the lovely resort host), and we had food delivered from a restaurant in town straight to our bungalow another night. So not really a problem - just something to be aware of so you can plan to rent a car or inquire about taxi service & food delivery!
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - The is the PERFECT place to stay if you want to explore western Belize. Easy access to San Ignacio, Barton Creek, Mountain pine ridge and more. The setting here is peaceful and serene. I never expected to have a pool at accommodationso like this but we did and my daughter was thrilled. Dogs and chickens wander the property amongst beautiful landscaping. I would 100% come back to Yuma's if I ever return to this area!
- Brendan (9/5): Superb -
- Becky (10/5): Super peaceful spot to unwind and watch the animals and the river pass by! - Yumas Riverfront Lodge is a very peaceful and special place. It is a little off the beaten path - which is what makes it so peaceful. The cabins are really well designed and the pool was lovely. It would have been great to have a dinner option so as we did not have to drive into town - but totally understand that it was not advertised as such.
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - Small boutique resort. Very peaceful. Beautiful grounds and views.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Federica (10/5): A charming retreat location - We had the pleasure of staying in this delightful bungalow in Belize, and it was an absolute dream. Beautifully designed and tastefully furnished. The owner welcomed us to her little slice of paradise and truly left no detail overlooked. Although the location is slightly removed from the city center, the owner provided helpful details and recommendations for reliable taxi services and food delivery options, making it easy for guests without a car to enjoy their stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this charming retreat to anyone visiting Belize.
- Matthew (10/5): Beautiful property in gorgeous location. Cooking under the stars and amongst the wildlife was magical! - Beautiful property in gorgeous location. Cooking under the stars and amongst the wildlife was magical! Location was an extra 20-30 mins further walk from San Ignacio than the position on the Booking.com map indicates.
- Natalya (10/5): Exceptional - The Yumas resort has an amazing location—close to the city yet perfectly secluded by the river, giving you the feeling of being far away from it all. The cottages are exceptionally clean with a modern design. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are spacious. The patios are open and covered, furnished with lovely patio furniture, making them the perfect spot to enjoy a breakfast. Christelle, the property manager, was incredibly helpful with suggestions for local dining and was such a pleasant person to interact with. Highly recommended!
- Emily (6/5): Prestine forest stay with basic amenities - The property is built on a lovely stretch of land near a beautiful flowing river with clean, yet basic amenities. With the rainy environment in the Belizean forest, it is hard to reach via car and since the property doesn’t offer food, this can be problematic. It cost us $40 USD Round trip to get food and we were unable to eat outside due to the bugs. The property is clean but has basic amenities but with rates that should include much more - it doesn’t include housekeeping (just trash removal), access to food (besides snacks and a small, yet pricey continental breakfast), 2 towels per stay.
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (10/5): Our stay was wonderful. In the future we would want to stay longer so we can day trip from Yumas. - The sound of the insects and frogs in the evening were amazing and the cabana was setup perfectly to capture the night sounds whether you are inside or outside. We loved the setting because it was remote. Getting food delivery was a bit tricky without a car.
- Casey (10/5): We had a great stay and enjoyed our time here. - The bed was so comfortable, we enjoyed mangoes from the tree outside, and listened to nature on the beautiful deck.
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional - The simple clean decor was great. The room look beautiful. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed being away from everything and just have a quiet night
- Daniel (9/5): A relaxed, quiet retreat by the river not too far from San Ignacio - Attention to detail in the cabins, comfortable beds, great, quiet location and extremely hospitable hosts. Nothing not too like here.
- Filippo (10/5): We had an amazing staing at Yumas! Me, wife and kids all love it!!! - The property is well- hidden in a little bit of paradise. The rooms were just great, “chic” and superclean. It is a fantastic place! Highly highly reccommended.
A note on the staff:
-Crystal ( hope spelling is right!). She was superhelpful with info from booking to check-out. Great host
- cleaners ( apologies as I dont know their names). Just fantastic! Also, I left a large amount of money in the room when we left ( thought I lost it somewhere else) . Everything was returned to me after few days. Chapeau!! Website photos dont do justice to its beauty. Googlemap doesnt take you there directly but ask Crystal and she will direct you no problem!
- Anjali (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marta (7/5): Good - The location is convenient to visit some of the attractions of the area. Loved the details of the interior design and decor of the lodge.
The manager is available for any questions and suggestions to give. We went in March and It was too hot and even with the air conditioning it's been challenging. We didn't have the chance to enjoy any of the outdoors around the lodge because it was extremely hot.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Asta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional - Christelle and her husband are incredible hosts. We loved the privacy and green all around us. This was a great stay for a short trip to San Ignacio. Super easy to get to town from here. Clean and beautiful cabanas.
- Keri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olaf (10/5): Exceptional - Luxurious stay by the river. Don't be shy to ask for pickup by the owner in a 4x4 if your vehicle can't make it on a rainy day. It is worth the effort.
The lodges are superbly furnished.
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome spot! The best!
- Ransom (9/5): Beautiful location in secluded setting with helpful and wonderful staff. - It’s very much off the beaten path, but lovely secluded and relaxing.
- Gunnarson (10/5): Lovely peaceful comfy room - Beautiful stylish rooms with all amenities needed and a very comfy king size bed. View of the river is lovely and the place is so peaceful. We loved sitting on the deck in the afternoons watching the river flow by and then watching the lightening bugs at dark. You need bug spray. It is remote, so do your shopping before going there, the road into the lodge is very bumpy. There is a gas grill for cooking and pretty good sized frig. Cristol is a wonderful host who greeted us and helped with our luggage. She was very helpful with directions to places and had good suggestions for places to eat. You need an SUV or some kind of car that sits up higher than a sedan, wasn’t expecting the road to be as bad as it was, but we found all roads to someplace good in Belize, like the ruins, have bad roads. Just be prepared for slow bumpy ride in. Look for little signs to get there, it’s not well marked.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was friendly and responded to our needs. She arranged an early pickup so we could make our 7 am tour which left from town. She checked in frequently to make sure we were 100% happy with our stay. The dirt road is not in good shape, but that’s par for the course in Belize after the rains. I appreciated that it was just as secluded as other lodges in the area, but much closer to town.
- Nadav (10/5): Exceptional - The property is beautiful and the rooms are great. Staff is nice and helpful. You need a 4x4 to get in and out of the property because the long driveway isn’t paved
- Anonymous (4/5): If you don’t mind driving a bumpy muddy road. - The room was lovely very clean. I like that they had a little kitchen, microwave, coffee pot, and utensils and dishes and plates. I thought that was very nice. Felt like home away from home.
Love that the curtains for a white, the bed was white and the towels for a white. I do recommend more hooks and a bigger, nightstand table. I didn’t like that it was so far away from the main road. That there was no pool.
And is sitting on the porch was not comfortable . The bed was just not comfortable and their comforter was just too heavy for the weather heat and humidity. I didn’t like that. I got bitten by so many mosquitoes, so bring your bug spray if you like the jungle life.
- Mohammed (10/5): Wonderful stay with a beautiful view of the river. - The property is wonderful - with just 4 cabins, it's peaceful and quiet. The property is located just 5 mins from town, hence restuarants, shopping etc. are easy accessible. The cabins are well furnished and have a lovely view of the river. Our kids enjoyed playing with the dogs and chickens on the property. Lots of fireflies in the evening adding extra charm to the property. Crystal, the host was very helpful and communicative at all times. The road leading up to the property was challenging given the recent rains. Ensure you have a 4wd to minimize any issues.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (7/5): Would 100% come again if the road was improved. - The huts are brand new, modern, clean and beautiful. They really are a pleasure to stay in and the place has beautiful views and a relaxing feel. Christelle was super helpful and friendly and a really lovely host. The family living on site (Manuel, his son and wife) were also super helpful and hospitable. The dogs running around were super friendly too! There was one massive problem with the place; the road to it is a dirt track that goes on for 10-20 minutes depending on your transport and the weather. The slightest amount of rain makes it really really hard to reach without a 4 by 4. It’s a mud pit. They are planning on upgrading the road but when we were here in December 2023 it was a massive problem as we didn’t have a car so relied on taxis. They either got stuck or refused to take us the whole way so we were dependent on Christelle and team to help us.
Less serious gripes are that there is no pool (to come soon apparently) and there is no breakfast at all so you make it yourself in what is a very well equipped outdoor kitchen. So you need to go shopping first!
- Corina (9/5): New lodge that is just going to get better and better - High end everything, just gorgeous. The bed and bedding is top notch. Lots of great little touches to makes you comfortable.
- Núria (10/5): The cabins are a new and well-equipped gem. We were treated in an excellent manner, and the place is simply amazing, sit - It was clean, calm and the service was excellent
- Jennifer (8/5): Very nice accommodations in a quiet area close to San Ignacio. - The bungalows were really nice and clean. The hosts provided coffee, sugar and creamer and drinking water. The bed is a comfortable king size and the AC worked great! The view from the porch is really nice and you can see a lot of wildlife. The dogs that live there are very friendly and cute. The hosts were accommodating and very helpful in getting us to our vehicle due to the road/ dirt driveway being unpassable due to the amount of rain that fell in the 4 days prior. They came and picked us up and delivered us back to our car multiple times. This is a fairly new property and they are working hard to make it a great place to spend a vacation. The bathroom smelled a bit like river water because we had a ton of rain during the time right before we arrived and it caused the truck carrying the fresh water to be delayed. There was so much rain that some roads were unpassable. I am assuming this will be rectified quickly. The road going to the lodge is very bumpy. Be aware that a 4 wheeled drive vehicle or truck would be preferable for this area and going up into any rainforest areas nearby! The signage to Yuma's could be better.
- Catherine (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing and conveniently located - The property and lodges are beautiful, even better than the online pictures if that’s possible. There were so many positives about our experience including the comfortable beds, view of the sunrise from our room, privacy of the lodge but only 5 min drive to downtown, the sweetest puppies on the property, and the most welcoming hosts that ensured we had everything we could ever need. All of our tours (ATM and Tikal) were willing to pick us up from the lodge without charging any extra fees. Would highly recommend :)
- Natalie (10/5): Amazing, wonderful, remote and quiet, extremely comfortable. - The rooms are beautiful and the staff are attentive. They thought of everything we could need and it was there! We felt dependent on the staff to get closer to the town, but they were more than accommodating - we just felt bad to ask. The road was rained out and muddy, so walking was impossible. They are graveling the road though, so this was just temporary.
- Shari (10/5): Highly recommend! - What a delightful stay we had. Close to town but far enough away for the quiet and privacy we craved. Christelle was a lovely host. Organized tours for us, excellent restaurant suggestions and very helpful. Accommodations are very well appointed and beautifully decorated. Private patio to view the river and wildlife. Highly recommend!
- Julia (10/5): We loved our stay in Yumas riverfront lodge. Christelle is an amazing host. She is always available and helps you to mak - Amazing location, very peaceful. Lodges are brand new and very beautiful and spacious. The bed is super comfortable.
