I've stayed in many Air BnB's and that is very rare. I also loved the tasteful decorating/staging effort put into the home. I call it a home because I can feel the love put into hosting people, which highlighted me on this occasion. LOVED the Rat Pack print upstairs... oh the memories... Thank you Mike for speaking Te Reo Maori to welcome me. I appreciate your effort and excellent pronounciation...lol but it showed to me that you loved one of my whaanau because you both connected across the entertainment industry and clearly you were both amazing in that industry. I loved the view of the lake from the main bedroom, but you get great views from both front facing bedrooms too. If I'm being picky, it would have been good to have shampoo and conditioner, although most people bring their preferred. Sometimes it gets confiscated at the airport (LOL). Also, I could not find dishwasher tablets to clean the dishes but found I didn't actually need them for the dish washer to clean the dishes sufficiently.

• Alison (10/5): Wonderful, clean and welcoming - Donna was so kind, we arrived on a hot day and the airconditioning was on, the Holiday (one of our favourites!) was playing and to top it off there were cool drinks in the fridge and snacks! Very welcome after a long journey. The place was larger than expected and the photos on here just don't do it justice. There was stylised decor and even Christmas decorations set up so we could celebrate properly. It meant it felt just like home - albeit a much nicer, cleaner and tidier version of home. Our family declared our Christmas holiday there to be the best time of the year. Thank you for the wonderful stay Donna and Mike. Everything was great!
• M (8/5): The fridge was well stocked with food and beverages - Very cozy, especially the beddings. The pillows and mattresses were comfy too. Everything was good. The host surprised us with a basket full of welcome gifts and a lovely Christmas card. Not a major issue but would be perfect if more air conditioning units are installed in the other rooms. There is one in the master bedroom which was so good!

• Dorothy (9/5): Had a wonderful, comfortable, stress free weekend :) - Donna and Mike were so easy to deal with and very responsive to any queries. The house is lovely and very comfortable. Lovely water views from certain aspects and close enough for a comfortable stroll to shops, restaurants, cafes, clubs and the hotel. I am assuming it is very early days for this airbnb and there are no major issues but a couple of simple fixes could only enhance the comfort of this home such as fixing the bathroom door which couldn't be closed, perhaps a knife block? and, since the kitchen is well equipped with a great coffee machine, some standard coffee mugs wouldn't go astray... the cups provided, although very attractive, are not really suited to a hot beverage as they cool down too fast and are difficult to drink from.
