osurlosers (1/5): Nickled and dimed! - The living room was very nice and clean. I assume the rest of the apartment was in a similar condition. Unfortunately, I never got to find out because they demanded undisclosed fees upon arrival. Upon arrival, I was asked how many beds we needed. I was confused because the listing clearly said "entire apartment" and was described as a 3-bedroom apartment with 4 beds. I responded that my family of 3 would need 2 beds, and was then told that I would need to pay an extra $20 for the 2nd bed. I said "we will just sleep in one bed then." The property manager then called the owner, who told me that there was a $10 cleaning fee, which I said wasn't disclosed anywhere. The owner then told me that I either pay the cleaning fee or find somewhere else to stay. I think he was counting on me paying because It was late (dark) and this property is remote and requires mountain driving on narrow, wet, cloudy roads. But I chose to go elsewhere based on how I was treated by the owner. Also, the parking here is very tight (at least where they had me park)...it's challenging to get in/out due to the angles of the gate and driveway and some pillars for the house.
