• Norman (10/5): - Everything was OK, especially the outside pool area, we had a basic room, but it was good for the price by Belize standards.There was a supermarket nearby and a local takeaway that the locals use with good food for a cheap price. Basically, San Pedro. It's full of tourists who like to spend money and locals who like to take their money. The streets are crowded with golf carts and there is not really much to do unless you throw your money at it. There are not even any beaches within walking distance. Its probably great for divers, but I would not recommend it if you are the backpacking type.

• Wilford (8/5): - I liked the atmosphere of the hotel. Very snug and homely, very naturally curated. I stayed with my band and while we were rehearsing for our night gig, staff came and knock on our door inviting us out to the bar area to play for the guests for a few minutes. It was awesome. The hot water took a while to warm up and didn't stay hot for the entire shower.

• Lulu (9/5): - The location was great. Very close to shops and restaurants. Great value. We used the pool every day. There are rickety stairs to view the sunset on the rooftop. The facility is dated. There is a coffee maker in the family room so bring your own coffee grounds. The restaurant can be loud until 9pm.

• Andrew (6/5): Affordable centrally located accommodation. - Booked on the basis of price. 5 mins walk to beach, restaurants, shops etc. I had large family room. Helpful staff. My room was next to the noisy bar area. Bathroom was a bit dark and cramped.

• Leon (7/5): - We loved the location, right downtown, and across the road from the ocean. Great value, lively bar and restaurant. Caliente restaurant across the street was also fantastic. For the cost of this hotel, you can't go wrong. Miguel was awesome and gave us a ride to the san pedro Ferry port without being asked. The resident cats were cute, too. Miguel gave us lots of recommendations and helped us out to rent a golf cart when needed. Lovely to sit outside by the pool in the evening. Mattress was not the most comfortable. Room was small but acceptable. We had an issue getting hot water in the shower, but once we asked Miguel, he showed us how to get hot water. It was a user issue, not the hotels fault. Next time we travel down south, we will be sure to travel with a universal sink plug, as not many lodgings seem to have one included.

Nice pool and great working AC. So im a little spoiled when it comes to beds. The mattresses were ok but would be nice if they were a little more updated. Overall not too bad though.

I liked that the sitting area you could see boats getting ready in the morning for fishing. Staff were great. Provided me a kettle for tea and a plate. That was helpful as I like to get my own food The bed was not overly comfortable (too firm). My neighbors were “rocking” their bed and it literally shakes the whole row of units so my bed also shook me. Walls are thin.

El baño es grande y cuenta con AC El hotel necesita mantenimiento. La cama tenia sábanas manchadas y rotas. Inclusive una mañana amanecí con picaduras de insectos. La cantidad de jabón y papel que dan es muy poca. En la app dice que queda enfrente de la playa pero queda enfrente de un canal en donde no puedes nadar porque hay cocodrilos.

• Matthew (10/5): Lovely little place with welcoming owner - The owner Mike is very friendly and his housekeeping staff are lovely. The hotel is well positioned and a great little place. It’s right next to where some fishing boats come in and some market stalls. The rooms are basic and it’s not a luxury hotel but it is very clean and Mike was busy during my stay painting floors etc prior to the busy season. It’s a good hotel for the price in this area.

• Daniel (8/5): Very good - I stayed at the Ambergris Sunset Hotel for five nights. The hotel is located downtown on a small side street. So you can't hear the traffic from the main road. It has a small cafe, but it's only open in the morning. Across from the hotel, there's a restaurant where you can get very tasty food. I recommend the Loaded Potatoes. The rooms have air conditioning. It can be a bit louder or quieter depending on the room. There's also a small refrigerator for some cold drinks. All rooms are arranged around a small pool if you want to cool off from the hot weather. There's also a supermarket right near the hotel, which also has an ATM. You can also have your laundry done. Bicycles are available for exploring San Pedro. The Wi-Fi was stable the whole time. All in all, I can recommend the hotel if you're in San Pedro for a few days. It's not an all-inclusive luxury accommodation, but it's perfectly adequate.
