• Kerrie (9/5): - Debi was very welcoming and accommodating. Really appreciated the use of the washing machine. Great location for K'Gari crossing. There was no continental breakfast with fruit, yoghurt and bread as described, however, Debi did give us have a couple of slices of bread when we asked for some.

• Jean (8/5): A perfect stay for our trip to K'gari Island! - Amazing host! Met us at the door and was very gracious. Cookies, chocolates, and a bottle of champagne were waiting for us as well. The hostess makes beautiful jewelry and we were able to purchase some of her work, which was lovely!

Hier sieht man die Liebe zum Detail! Wir hatten eine komplette Wohnung im Erdgeschoss, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir haben noch hilfreiche Tipps erhalten, um nach K‘gari zu gelangen. Der Bus hält nur 500m entfernt! Sieh brauchen nicht erst in die Stadt zum Treffpunkt zu fahren. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden, wir hatten eine tolle Zeit

• Sylvia (10/5): Quiet and well appointed accommodation - Apartment was spacious and had every little thing you could need, and was located at the end of the street so was quiet with no traffic. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I only stayed one night but it would be a great base for exploring the Fraser coast.

• Allan (10/5): A hidden gem in River Heads - Everything. Very comfortable, well equipped, very close for ferry to K'Gari....fantastic hosts who couldn't do enough for you. We were looking for a quiet relaxing place and that's exactly what we got. We ate in and dined out. Hervey Bay is 20mins away by car, so a hire car is a benefit. Small local Spar shop nearby for any essentials you've forgotten. All in all, couldn't recommend it highly enough We liked it all
• Kylie (1/5): - I booked & paid up front. When I arrived, there was someone already in my apartment. Apparently the people that were booked the next day, moved their booking ahead & checked in. I was left stranded. I eventually got hold of the owner, who was very helpful trying to get a refund. I got through to booking. com at 9:30pm, they immediately gave me a refund (that took 2 days to clear) so I was still stuck with nowhere to stay. 😥🤬
• Stephan (8/5): Close to K'gari - Good place to stay one night in order to commute to K'gari. Kind owner and a comfortable place. The AC in the bedroom is loud. Breakfast is basic - some toast, marmalade and flakes are available in the kitchen. Be aware it is not a freshly prepared breakfast. All together we can recommend it. Nothing
• Nadav (9/5): Very Recommended! - We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was very cozy and instantly felt like home. The backyard view was beautiful — especially during sunset. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made everything even better. The location is perfect for visiting K’gari (Fraser Island) — a great base to explore the area. Overall: a lovely place with a warm atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back! 🌅✨
• Rosemarie (1/5): Gastfreundlichkeit? Sehr fragwürdig, - Nur die Lage. Der Hausherr hat gerade Gift gespritzt auf der Terasse, die wir benutzen sollten. Dort flatterte schon Wäsche. Der Blick aus dem Schlafzimmer ging direkt auf eine chaotische Werkstatt. Das angekündigte Frühstück: angetautes Toastbrot, Wurst einzeln in Folie gefroren noch im Eisschrank. Alles wirkte sehr notdürftig/lieblos. Die Hausherrin sagte, sie wohne oben drüber und wir sollen klopfen, wenn wir was wollen.

Ook mochten we onze auto daar laten staan de periode dat we op K'gari verblijven. Superfijn. Doordat we in de ochtend nog een walvistour deden een hele late uitcheck ook hier word niet moeilijk overgedaan. Top lokatie aan het water bij de ferry. Helemaal niks eigenlijk. Mag ook gezegd worden toch!!

• Robbie (10/5): WE enjoyed the stay very much and will use again if the opportunity arrives - Spacious, friendly proprietor, Well organised and presentable apartment, everything at hand and extras that any traveller would need. I make the comment only for the fact to assist the host in this industry. I also only downgraded the cleanliness only on the observation that some utensils and pots could be replaced as showing age. Nothing really, all was good and host very pleasant, especially when we arrived later than expected.

• Wayne (9/5): - A very cosy older style apartment with lots of room. You have the whole bottom floor with private access and hosts live above. Nice supplies for breakfast includes a variety of options including fresh fruit. A well stocked kitchen if you want to self cater. Very convenient 5 min walk (or 1 min drive ) to the passenger and vehicle barge to K'Gari ( Fraser Island ). Owner Debbie has a good knowledge of the area and is a friendly amenable host.
• Chloe (10/5): Cosy stay next to K’Gari! - Lovely apartment, lots of space more than needed for 2 people! The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. The hosts provided everything we could’ve needed. If you’re heading to the island it is right next to the River Heads Barge and it’s only a short drive to the main shopping area. Would definitely stay here again, thank you to Debi & Russ you have a beautiful stay.

• Christin (10/5): Exceptional - A spacious lounge room with two reclining chairs. The bed is very comfortable and it has a nice shower. A fantastic spot especially if you go to Kgari Island the next day, as Russ upstairs can tell you everything you need to know and he even handed us a tide table.

• Simon (10/5): Perfect location, brilliant hosts. - It’s a perfect location for the night before a K’Gari trip - only 5 mins walk directly to the ferry or to the Kingfisher Mainland Reception. Hosts Debi and Russ were brilliant - very welcoming and lovely to have a chat with. Clear that they care about their guests, very happy to share information about the area and their experiences. Most importantly, the apartment is spacious, well equipped, very clean and the bed is very comfy. Great choices for DIY breakfast. Nothing.

The owner was very nice! Unfortunately it was not clean. There were black hair everywhere. Also in the direct area there is not much to explore apart from the ferry.

• John (10/5): Will be back for a longer visit - After a long drive this place was a welcome surprise. For those catching the ferry it’s a very convenient place to stay. Arriving on a Monday night there are not a lot of options for eating out close by. The host does provide access to some light meal option at very reasonable prices or you can zip up to the supermarket close by to get some basics.

• Juergen (10/5): Exceptional - Very welcoming host and great apartment in close proximity to the Fraser Island ferry ramp and terminal. Arrived from the ferry late afternoon after all shops were shut. So we had no food for dinner due to a two night stay on the island. We were so appreciative to find some meals in the fridge and pantry. We had the best night sleep, very comphy bed too. Wish we could have taken in more of the beautiful views this property offers. Highly recommended!
