• Lai (9/5): Wonderful home in Jumbunna. - The stay was very pleasant, clean and spacious. Well equipped with plenty of crockery and cookware. Kids loved the access to the outdoors. Entertaining areas and landscaping had a real country feel, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Hill and sunset really made it relaxing with others. Shame we could only stay the long weekend. Would be nice to have stayed longer.
• Lisa (1/5): Serious child‑safety and hygiene hazards, unclean linen, pests, dirty carpets and kitchen items, and - The views at the back of the property was great. There were several serious hygiene and child‑safety hazards throughout the property. Medicated pills from a previous guest were left on the bathroom floor, which is extremely dangerous—thankfully an adult found them before the children did. There were dead bugs and flies on the carpet, window seals, and even on the benchtops, and the cutlery and plates were dirty. The carpets themselves were dirty and clearly had not been properly cleaned. There were also several spiders and cobwebs throughout the house, along with rodent bait stations inside. The linen and towels—which you pay extra for—were not clean, didn’t smell fresh, and some of the linen provided didn’t even fit the beds. The doona covers had stains and smelled like they hadn’t been washed in a long time. The recycling bins hadn’t been emptied, there was someone else’s food left in the pantry, several cupboard facades had old food and drink spillages, and the fridge was dirty. The separate bungalow had not been cleaned or vacuumed. The washing machine also had visible mould. Although we were told the cleaners had been in before our arrival, the condition of the property made that very hard to believe. The hot water system does not support the number of guests the listing claims to accommodate. Only one person can shower at a time, and no other water sources—such as the dishwasher, washing machine, or taps—can be used without affecting the hot water, which made getting ready to go out very difficult. When we contacted the host, Joel, about these issues, communication was dismissive and unhelpful, and none of the problems were resolved. For the price charged, the overall standard, cleanliness, and safety of the property were far below expectations.
• Lieberman (9/5): Superb - We stayed at the property as an extended family group to attend a wedding at Chapter Barn. Haven Hills suited our needs perfectly, equally Haven Hills would suit anyone wanting to stay as a couple of family groups or 3 or 4 couples looking to have a get away, the kitchen has everything you could need the dining area and lounge area is large enough that it doesn't feel claustrophobic at all. We would be more than happy to stay here again and no hesitation to recommend Haven Hills to friends.
• Anna (10/5): Relaxed and refreshed - Excellent accommodation for larger groups wanting a quiet break in picturesque rural setting. Stay was not long enough
• Niall (10/5): Fabulous! - We had a great weekend in a lovely house with a cracking view. Although the water stopped for several hours, they had someone out quickly to get it working again. Very efficient and professional is fixing our problem - plus we got a few hours extra on our last day. We’re already planning our next trip. 🙌🏻
