- Heidi (10/5): Lovely homestay in Chapinero region - Lovely homestay/guesthouse run by wonderful hosts (Arturo & David) who provided lots of information and help on getting around. Coffee offered on arrival. Located a few minutes walk from Carrera 14 (Avenida Caracas) where dozens of buses run. We were also shown around (safe) local area on first night
Very secure, multiple locked doors (separate keys) before getting to apartment and separate key to room.
Property kept clean, including shared kitchen area (4 ring gas hob/oven, fridge/freezer, juicer, pots & pans).
Excellent wifi/internet/network throughout and Netflix to TV.
Generally quiet, rooms away from road, but slight noise from other surrounding properties.
Nice temperature, plenty of warm blankets if too cold.
Laundry facilities available, and area for drying clothes.
Rubbish separated into organic and non-organic, actively encouraged to switch off lights when not in use, recycled water used for flushing toilets.
Payment by card or cash.
2 adorable dogs (who do not enter rooms without your permission).
Large bedroom with 2 comfortable beds, bedside table and lamp, bin, plenty of storage.
Good sized ensuite bathroom with plenty of hooks.
Shower hot enough when water pressure low enough. Only cold water to bathroom and kitchen sinks.
Bedroom and bathroom windows opened into laundry area, so limited fresh air/natural light to room and limited privacy.

Staff
Price Absolutely nothing
- Deidre (3/5): Poor - They took my reservation at last minute. One of the hosts was nice to take the time to walk with me to show me where to buy fruit and find a restaurant, although he had no idea where to find a vegetarian meal. The deal breaker is the rank smell from the "recycled" water in the toilet. It is like being right next to a sewer. I literally heaved when I opened the lid. Had to shut the door to the bathroom to try and keep the smell out of the room. The ad says they have kitchen facilities. At first the two men who I guess live there said I couldn't use the kitchen because I was only staying one night. Then they asked what I might use and let me keep fruit in the fridge and use dishes (I didn't cook). Hear two tvs at night although they are off by a reasonable hour. Only window is to the laundry room which helps with street noise, bad for ventilation. The hosts seemed clueless as to where to eat or what buses to take where. In the end I followed google directions for buses. Generally a weird vibe like they didn't really want me there and felt smelly and run down. I feel like the high reviews must be fake. Would rather stay at a hostel and I really like my own room.

- Shweta.m (9/5): Great stay for a good price. - Arturo is a superb host. Very helpful and communicative. The apartment is super secure. And the room is very well equipped. Nice bathroom, nice beds. The dogs are ultra cute. I never heard even one bark in the two days I stayed - so very well trained. And they wont enter the room unless you invite them in. No sunlight in the room, which is okay if its only 1 or 2 nights and you are going to be out mostly.
The area right outside seems a bit sketchy at night to walk alone, but nothing happened to me ever. And then 3 streets up its nicely crowded and busy again.
- Jason (10/5): Everything I needed, super comfy beds and very kind helpful hosts! - From the moment I arrived until I left i felt the host was available anytime I needed anything or information of where to go. I felt like I was staying in my own bedroom back home. Very comfortable. The area looks sketchy but if you don't return too late it's all good. I had no problems
- David (7/5): Good - The owner is friendly and helpful. It was clean. Music and loud talking woke me up at 8 am. 😢
- Darrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeannette (10/5): Excellent - The host was most helpful, clean and comfortable NA
- Peggy (9/5): The most friendly and helpful host of my whole trip in Colombia! - How glad I was to be so well taken care of by Arturo, the landlord, on the first day of my vacation in Colombia. He went with me to buy a SIM card and explained to me how to take the Transmilenio, as the buses are called in Bógota.
The bus stop is very close to the apartment. Count on about 20 minutes to get to the center which, by the way, is very smooth.
There are other people living permanently in the apartment but one room is rented to tourists. The room is very spacious. The private bathroom has a shower. The water is lukewarm but I didn't find that a problem. The WIFI works always fine.
Everyone there is equally friendly and helpful.
Arturo was also very considerate of my health for breakfast.
You can use the kitchen, which is somewhat different from my standard at home but it was nice to be able to prepare something to eat.
So yes, I recommend this place because Arturo was really the most friendly and helpful host of my whole trip in Colombia.

- David (10/5): Best place for events in Bogotá - Location
Price
Kindness of the hosts I have nothing to say here
- Dan_nt (10/5): Very good value for price - This is one of our favorite places to stay in Bogota. Very kind hosts. Nice simple breakfast. Good Wi-Fi & warm shower. Nicely decorated common areas. Feels like staying in the home of a friend. The neighborhood is gentrifying so it's a mix of very local feel & new development.
- Marcel (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely welcoming and friendly hosts, very simple check in process. It was possible to check in 1h earlier what helped me with my further Planning. Internet was good, breakfast perfect because Arturo create every morning something different and also local dishes. The place is just few 100m from Transmileno Station "Calle 63" away, what makes it very simple to get to all areas of Bogota. They also have two dogs, but they very friendly and if you bring them some treats, they will be your best friends. 😁
- Dan_nt (10/5): Excellent value in good location - Excellent location and friendly service. Hot shower and simple breakfast. Free coffee & tea all day. Very clean. For the price, it's excellent value.
- Gonçalo (9/5): Great location and amazing staff - Great location in the centre of the best area in Bogotá so you can easily reach other areas of Bogotá. The owner Arturo was so nice and helped me get a SIM Card for my phone and went with me to the bank to withdraw some money. Really thankful for that. The breakfast was ok and fair for what is payed. If I come back to Bogotá alone, this is a place I really think of returning to stay again.
- Allen (8/5): Very good - Good people. Breakfast was simple, but exceptional. neighborhood is a good location centrally located between the Bogata hot spots to the north like Zona Rosa and Parque 93 and the old city to the south. Super close to Mass transit stop. I liked it. Not fancy, but the price was right and the owners will help you out with whatever you need.
- Jonathan (10/5): Good price, clean, comfortable and Arturo is an excellent host! - Arturo is an excellent host. The room is large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included, use of washer for clothes, nice tv, fast internet. This is a great place to stay.
