Guest Reviews
- Neina (7/5): Overall, there were definitely some positives, especially the staff and cleanliness, but the noise level and limited spa - The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, and the room itself was very clean. I also appreciated the great coffee provided in the room, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the noise. The room faced the street (room 401) and there was constant traffic noise, honking, and people outside late into the night. On top of that, other guests were also quite noisy in the hallways and neighboring rooms, with loud conversations and doors slamming at all hours. It made it very difficult to get a proper night’s sleep.
The room was also a little small for two people traveling with full-sized suitcases, so space felt cramped at times.
While I understand the hotel cannot fully control the behavior of other guests, it may help to add an additional sign or notice in rooms and hallways encouraging guests to be respectful of others who are trying to rest — for example, a reminder to keep noise levels down between 22:00 and 07:00.

- Hugo (9/5): Ótima - Localização e limpeza! Tamanho do quarto
- Sandi (10/5): We would come back to the Union Hotel in a heartbeat. - Our room was very comfortable and quiet, the breakfast was delicious, the staff very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect for us.
- Sandra (9/5): First visit to Toronto and it won’t be the last. - Location, atmosphere, restaurant was good, staff were very nice and friendly Everything was good
- Ella (10/5): - Excellent location. Staff was very nice and helping a lot in all questions and queries.
- Kirk (9/5): Friendly staff, convenient, clean and comfortable - Clean, comfortable and great location. Nothing
- Sara (10/5): We had a wonderful stay! -

- Daniel (9/5): Good location. Nice hotel - Excellent location very convenient for downtown and Union station. Also, if you have half a day or longer to kill while waiting for an afternoon or evening flight, they will hold your bags for you Shower in my room was actually a bit hard to get into, but that may have been a one-off based on the floorplan. I think they did they best they could.
- Neil (9/5): -
- Vanessa (7/5): - The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The Routine products were great! Room was small and walking around the bed to plug or move stuff was difficult. I would have liked to have an iron or streamer available in the room. Slippers would have been a nice touch
- Janine (8/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): - Excellent location, super clean and comfy. No complaints.
- Toni (10/5): Central location. Close to Union station for buses and trains. Close to baseball arena. Comfy bedding and warm room. Bar - Restaurant and bar in the premise. Walking distance to public transport, Rogers stadium and restaurants and bars Very small rooms but it is advertised as a boutique property
- Yuliya (7/5): So so - The room had everything we needed and location was perfect for out needs. The view from the window was just a solid wall of the neighboring building. There was no parking available, and not even a simple muffin or light breakfast was offered in the morning.
- Marco Antônio (10/5): Amazing stay in Downtown Toronto - Amazing hotel, near all the main spots in Downtown Toronto. I really loved my stay there. Great staff, clean room and comfortable bed. Common areas are very well decorated and suited to work, I was able to work and enjoy some glasses of wine from Canada.
- Toni (9/5): -
- Isabelle (10/5): - Tout!
- Capper (10/5): Would stay again in a heart beat - great location, walking distance from the main VIA Canada station. Seamless check in and a beautiful room, very clean and up to date. Great bar downstairs and close to all amenities. Highly recommend. N/A
- Tim (9/5): - Perfect location (5min by foot from Union Station) to explore the city and very friendly staff. The rooms are modern, the bed comfortable and there are free water stations on every floor. It is very easy to regulate the room temperature as you want. The room was very clean and well cleaned and tidied every day. The lobby is very comfortable to get some work done. The room did not have any view, but this was expected and while the walls and ceilings are well isolated, the door let’s through a lot of noise. But since you only hear what the 2-3 people in the room next to do say if they talk loud in the hallway it is okey. The ceilings are a bit low, at 1m83cm it is still fine, but if you are tall it could feel a bit tight. The shower was warm, but not hot.
- Martha (8/5): Lovely, modern but retro styled hotel! - A really cool hotel, lovely modern interiors in lounge area and bedrooms. Rooms are small but had everything we needed, particularly liked the shampoos etc. Quiet room and very comfortable bed. Fantastic location and lovely staff. For the price of the hotel, I think it would be nice if breakfast was included. They do offer breakfast in their cafe but it is quite expensive on top of cost of room.
- Bonyfasius Koko (8/5): Will be considered for comeback - Location Room too small
- Samantha (10/5): -
- elizabeth (10/5): Wry helpful staff, pleasant rooms & fantastic location - Excellent location Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Jane (8/5): Great hotel in convenient location - Excellent location, really helpful staff, comfortable room, well equipped Room was a little small this trip and the heating/cooling is very noisy
- Droeske (7/5): -
- Kristel (9/5): -
- Carole (8/5): good location near major transit hub for access to airports, city transit, nearby restaurants, - checkin - person pressed wrong button for credit card on card machine, eventually had to change credit cards, rooms are small
- Christina (9/5): Cute location close to everything! - It was close to everything I wanted to get to. I could walk everywhere. It was clean and had a modern cute design. My only complaint was it was a bit small and you could easily hear through the walls.
- Shaune (7/5): -
- Cindy Rae (10/5): Great spot - Convenient location to Union station
- Pierre (10/5): -
- Graziela (8/5): -
- Fabio (8/5): Very pleasant the guys and girls at the check in - Is around the corner from union station .
Handy for the airport and to go to Niagara falls All good
- Jane (8/5): very good - location was perfect for walking to our destinations could have used a Keurig coffee maker in the room.
- Liora (9/5): - The location was fantastic! Close to Union Station and great restaurants. It was all good!
- Jo-Anne (8/5): Nice Convenient Hotel - I really liked the room and I especially liked the location since I was taking the train from Union Station the next morning. It looked like people were enjoying the lobby. I didn't like the price and that my room looked into another room or apartment. Also it was sort of hard to find the way the streets come together there.
- Maisy (10/5): -
- Schomaker (10/5): -
- Salim (5/5): So so - Location + interior decor Room was not not insulated. I could hear everything outside: elevator, next door, people walking in the hall
- Sinead (10/5): -
- Heather (10/5): -
- kerry (9/5): - Great location, easy access to trams and subway
- Yoshihisa (10/5): -
- Yan (10/5): -
- Anne (4/5): - Couldn't fully turn off the night light! Ended up using a bunch of towels to block the light so we could sleep!
- Maggie (10/5): -
- Charlotte (9/5): Perfect for a short stay - The hotel was modern and clean. The staff were very friendly. Location was perfect for being in central Toronto. Could not fault it. Nothing.
- Tim (10/5): -
- Karel (9/5): Great value for money, easy to reach from the airport. - Downtown location, close to the Union Station, so if you take the train from the airport, you can walk to the hotel. My room was just right for one person, spacious shower, comfortable bed. The hotel does not look great from the outside, but it is very clean inside and it was refurbished recently.
- danielle (7/5): - Really great location, super fun lobby and hangout spots. Lots of people were using the lobby as a hangout space so it felt very social and fun. The rooms window was sealed. Could be opened or looked out of. I’m assuming the view was of an alley way but I felt claustrophobic in such a small room and not having a window to see out of.
- Glenn (10/5): - Location was great. Short walk to Union Station. In the heart of downtown Toronto.
- Oliver (8/5): -
- Alece (10/5): Worked out perfectly, the train station is close so the travel from the airport was easy. Will definitely stay again - Location was amazing for going to Blue Jays games, price was great, really cute spot. N/A
- Brett (1/5): Terrible. No space so moved to another hotel. Not so much as an apology! Could not even be bothered to inform us which h - Location Treated very poorly by the staff
- Isaac (9/5): -
- Antonia (10/5): Really fun and would definitely rebook - Hotel has a nice vibe and staff were really friendly and positive Rooms are small, which is fine but not your typical North American hotel room
- Ivette Enriquez (10/5): -
- Derek (9/5): -
- Martina (8/5): Excellent location to visit Toronto - Good breakfast even if I prefer a buffet breakfast and excellent location. Part of the hall was under construction. The door of my bathroom was locked in the morning apparently without any reason. I think it is a bit overpriced.
- Jon (9/5): Highly recommended hotel in downtown Toronto. - Great location near Union Station, friendly staff, good facilities and nice design in the public areas. Really a good choice in the centre of Toronto. Recommended. Impossible to regulate the temperature of the shower, which was too hot; certainly not good for small children or anyone wanting a refreshing shower. Poor drainage from the shower, which tended to flood. In a 2 double-bed room, only supplied with coffee and tea for 2, when there were 3 guests (minor issue). For breakfast, find one of the many alternative cafes nearby for much better value for money.
- Frédéric (8/5): -
- Tomas (9/5): - + Central location, close to the main train/metro/bus station
+ Reasonable value for money
+ Nice and welcoming lobby design
- chiara (8/5): -
- Aleksejs (9/5): patīka - lokācija, personāls, tīriba skaļš kondicioners pie gultas
- chantal (7/5): - Posizione ,cortesia staff Vecchiotto
- patrizia (4/5): Pessima impressione all’arrivo: insegna dell’hotel era uno striscione di plastica..
- Anna Cail Glennda (9/5): -
- Ken&Mary (9/5): -
- Sigurbjorg (9/5): -
- clare (5/5): - It was close to the train station as expected The room was tiny. Barely enough room to move around. The bathroom was particularly small especially for my husband who is a large man
- Grisel (6/5): - Buena ubicacion parking cerca
- Felipe (10/5): -
- v-dawg (3/5): Great hotel as long as your personal data is not leaked - The hotel itself is nice. Clean rooms and good location, right bye union station. My personal identifiable data was leaked to scammers. Confirming my name, booking dates, etc and I asked 3 x at reception for management to contact me. Not once did this happen while I was staying. Imagine having all your data leaked and between booking.com.and the hotel no one is taking responsibility or even discussing with you in person. Especially when you're staying at the hotel and raise it upon arrival and a subsequent 3 times.
Data breach it is and this is a serious matter. Shame the hotel didn't have the time to address my concerns or reassure me.
- Deborah (9/5): - Friendly staff It was a holiday Monday so the restaurant was closed
- kate (9/5): - Amazing location by Union Station. Great lobby for hanging out and working. No safe in room.
Freezing corridors
Little storage space
- Zoe (8/5): As above - Very central and comfortable having been refurbished. Buzzing lounge area and cool city vibe
- Jeni (7/5): Frustrating sleep - Helpful staff, nice breakfast (paid), great location to transportation The mechanical system (heating and cooling) is th loudest I have come across in the world. I woke up startled and panicked each time it kicked on after falling asleep. Furthermore the location of my room was as close to the lift lobby as possible so Inueard each and every conversation and opening of the elevators. The door was not only not acoustically sealed, there was a clear gap at the bottom which also let in the light from the corrido
- Dongjin (10/5): -
- McCLURE (10/5): great! - 2 queen beds, neat clean and lots of room.... advise folks of parking
- Brigid (10/5): - Love the vibe of this little hotel. Great location and funky lobby. Restaurant was good. Room was not large but had most everything you could need. The only item missing from the room was a luggage rack - Staying only one night I didn't need to empty my suitcase but it would have been nice to put in on a rack rather than having to squat down to the floor each time I needed something.
- Arnaud (8/5): -
- Charlene (9/5): Wonderful - Great location . Comfortable beds, rooms were quiet, and staff was very friendly. Rooms were quite small, and the aromatherapy scent in lobby was a little strong
- Lorelei (9/5): A brilliant hotel perfect for exploring downtown Toronto. - Amazing location, clean comfortable rooms and incredibly friendly staff. Our room was a tiny bit on the small side, but not a major issue for a couple of nights.
- Maria (9/5): -
- Tomer (8/5): Ok, not more - Very close to union station at the downtown. Rather clean Didn’t like the vibe, it’s an OK place, not more, not less. Asked to stay a bit late after check out time (my flight was only at 6pm) but they want 50$ per each hour of late check out. And the front desk was not very friendly about it. You treat your guests that way- they will score you low (and that will cost you way more than these 50$) 🤷🏻
