Guest Reviews
- Mohamed (8/5): A beutiful country house🌷 - Big thx fot ahmed...🙏 Wish if there is tv .
- Haytham (9/5): The hosts are amazing , We loved it children were so happy , and would come again , breakfast was delicious the fateera - The property was lovely very traditional , everything as we expected for old house , the host brilliant nothing was too much trouble . Even arranged a jeep safari which was wonderful! This is an experience vacation , from the fire pit and Bedouin tea to the antiques scattered around.. Everything was great !
- Ahmed Hani Abdulatif (7/5): Decent Place but needs improvements - The garden and the outside patio were really nice. Ahmed and Sohail are very helpful. They helped us with exchanging money and multiple other things. The place fits up to 6 persons. The water does not work really well. It takes a long time for it to heat. The house utensils are old, the rooms are kinda dark, and the electricity shuts down multiple times a day.
- Suhaimi (8/5): -
- Adel Khaled (10/5): - The staff was extremely helpful and the house was impressive Nothing
- Maria (8/5): A peaceful stay - It's a cosy house with 3 bedrooms, a great outdoor space and a garden. Don't expect a luxury villa, rather a village house with basic facilities. The "living room" is actually an outdoor terrace.
The location is great, very close to the lake, the main street of Tunis village, offering a beautiful view. The garden is small but pretty.
If you are sensitive to noise at night, bring your earplugs. The water kept disappearing.
If you visit the place in summer, bear in mind that there is no air conditioning which is hard for people not used to sleeping in +30C.
- Iman (8/5): Very good -
- Frank (8/5): Very good - the three brothers were very accommodating and nice, delicious breakfast and kind service whenever you need anything, organizing trips and safaris showing great places, music nights, welcoming talks, ... kitchen is rather a tea kitchen
- Nouran (8/5): Beautiful place for nature lovers - We had a very nice time staying at this apartment, mainly due to its stunning outdoor area. The 3 bedrooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. There are two separate outdoor spaces: a spacious living area with a lovely view of the lake and a beautiful garden. It is truly a perfect setting to relax and enjoy nature.
The hosts, Suhail and Ahmed, were exceptional! They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always available to help with any requests. Their hospitality stood out, from ensuring our comfort to organizing entertaining evening local shows. Also, they offered a delicious local breakfast. There are areas that need improvement. The kitchen was incomplete and lacked basic essentials such as covers, plates, and soap. Additionally, the bathroom had some technical issues that we reported during our stay. Both spaces—the kitchen and bathroom—need a deep renovation to match the overall level of the rest of the property. With a few upgrades, this place could be outstanding!
- Abdurrahman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (8/5): We loved the experience of staying here! - The hosts were extremely kind and welcoming, and made us a delicious home cooked breakfast and bedouin tea. They couldn't do enough to make us welcome. The house itself is really pretty with a beautiful garden with seating and a huge carpeted and shaded outdoor area with rugs and cushions to sit on. We loved this space to relax and eat. The house is quirky and furnished in a bedoiun style. The bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. It is just off the main road and a short walk to Tunis village. It has a beautiful view of the lake, which is also a short walk away. The facilities in the house are quite basic. There is a small kitchen with a gas hob (which can be tricky to turn off), but it could do with more cutlery, an electric kettle etc. It would be quite difficult to properly self cater (but there are excellent restaurants very close by!) The bathroom is small and the water pressure in the shower is low. There isn't an indoor seating area, but as previously mentioned, the outdoor areas are fantastic, and you wouldn't need an indoor area in the warm weather.
