Guest Reviews
- Kristian (2/5): Dreadful. - First, the request from the room owner to provide copy of a passport and a 300 euro deposit didnt feel right, especially as Booking.com explicitly advice not to give such details. Second, I asked the guys to do something about the alarm that was sounding all the time in regular intervals (batteries needed to be replaced) and it was basically impossible to sleep. I wrote to the manager about the alarm, they didnt bother to come. The overall quality of the room and the bed was a joke. You could hear people walking down the street and basically hear every conversation, zero isolation.
- Chris (1/5): - Nothing, they completely failed. I never got to the location as they didn't provide an address i had to arrange alternative location on the day of arrival ...8pm at night!!! Everything, there was no one manning their phone or email, even the emergency number was an answer machine.
They still owe me my £300 deposit and the refund of the stay.
- Luke (1/5): Bad - The photos shown aren't in the apartment we booked. Not one of them. It's a pain to get check in details as you have to send in passport photos ECT and sign things also made to leave a deposit it's just way over complected. Then you have to go on a 6 min walk just to pick the keys up. I tried to contact someone about it not been the apartment on the photos and basically got ignored. Not worth the money we paid and won't be staying again.
- Kerry (10/5): An airy, well kept and clean apartment with all you need for a short stay in London. - The location was everything we had hoped for - a quiet wee nook in Camden which was close to tube station and bus station. TV facilities - so we could sign on to Netflix. Couldn't work that out.
- Gladia (9/5): Superb -
- Russell (1/5): Rip off !!! - Nothing... shocking set-up - photos do not do justice - Dirty - bathroom shocking Should not be allowed to be rented out less than a 1 star
- Rupert (3/5): Our stay was very brief and uncomfortable - Just a location
- Renee (7/5): Good -
- Emily (8/5): Very good - Location, facilities. No plug in both kitchen and bathroom.
- Rosna (4/5): Unpleasant Accomodation - I eached office at abt 12.05am but was still charged extra for the late fee. I actually messaged that I was around the vacinity at about 11.54-11.55. Our taxi driver lost his way. No compromise with my reason. Old furnitures provided
- Kirsten (6/5): it was a good base for what we wanted to do - We liked the location it was close to Camden Market and the tube.
The rooms were great 3 good size double rooms.
Good kitchen facilities everything you needed. The toilet/ shower room smelled fusty.
The toilet spat water over the rim when flushed. you had to make sure the lid was down otherwise you got wet legs
- Matthew (1/5): Bad -
- Matthew (4/5): Location was good but the apartment was very poor for the money - The area Cleanliness very poor
- Amy (8/5): Very good - It was close to Camden town. We didn’t get told the apartment until we picked up keys, which we didn’t know about. We were put 15 minutes further away from where we wanted to be. The photos on booking.com looked nothing like what we got. The bathrooms were tiny, especially for 6ft+ boys trying to shower without hitting there heads on the ceiling. We were in a bottom apartment so had people on top of us being noisy! I’m not sure weather they were checking in late at night or what but they were loud! There needs to be a warning to them that we can hear every single move, especially at 2 in the morning when suitcases are being rolled down the hallway and kids screaming.
- Twobob1011 (1/5): Won't be staying again. - Nothing The accommodation was very poor, it was located nowhere near the office where you collect the keys, the flat is on the top floor which meant climbing 3 flights of stairs which was not made clear to us, the flat was clean but it smelt awful musty, had to sleep with windows open, which didn't help as we was by a noisy street
We had a mouse in the flat, which also kept us up all night as we were not comfortable sleeping with a rodent in the flat. Facilities in the kitchen are not very clean and very used. We had issues with the fire alarm and were advised by the owners to just take the battery out. They said someone would sort the mouse out, and they didn't. When we tried to complain about anything, the owners/company would just cut us off. The hall way up the stairs is not lit, so it's very dangerous at night. In the events of a fire there was no information, I felt very unsafe staying in this apartment and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, the gentleman who owned it were very rude and generally not helpful at all when we raised any concerns, the photos on booking were slightly different to where we were staying.
- Sonia (6/5): Decent location but poor property. - Location was decent; only a 10 minute walk to Camden Town tube station. Property was pretty grim. Bathroom was the worst - tiny, black mold on the ceiling. No extractor fan. The kitchen was very poorly supplied - including no oven rack, baking tray or frying pan. Though when I contacted the agent they did bring an oven rack to the property that day.
- Vanessa (1/5): 極差 - It doesn't match the photos, it's different from the booking address, it takes half an hour to walk to the house, the house is dirty, the floor is uneven, very noisy at night
- Wim (6/5): Functional, and payable, when you want to see London - The location of the apartment in Kentisch town was good (although named Camden apartment, the location was 1 km onwards in Kentisch town). Traveling towards city centre was easy and good, which count most. That the apartment was only white walls and furnature, it was not nicely decorated. THe beds were small 2-persons beds. Hence, the location was functional, not more than that.
- Hannah (9/5): Good value, central location. - Very well situated in the centre of Camden, just down the road from the key collection office. Everything as described. Clean and practical (with some steps to apartment), very friendly staff. The main bedroom had a sky light that meant we had no through breeze (it was very warm in London - but they did provide two fans!) but also had a thin curtain so in the summer it meant the room was very light from early in the morning. Not a problem for some but hard with a baby!
- 蔡 (3/5): Poor - The environment was unclean
- Amanda (3/5): Uncomfortable, very disappointing and poor value for money. - Location was good for our needs. The apartment was not as expected.
It was run down, grubby and in very much need of an upgrade. Facilities were basic and insufficient for a comfortable stay, eg, uncomfortable couch and bed, no oven racks, broken heater, no fans, bathroom was tiny and smelt of drains.
- Rachel (4/5): Meh. Not going back. - There were three bedrooms and a separate living space. There are two toilets one with a shower. There was a small park very nearby for kids play. This wasn’t a great experience. You have to pick up the keys from an office 10min walk away which isn’t 10min when you have suitcases and small children. The property isn’t in the greatest shape. The floors slope. There is a missing floorboard under the carpet outside the front door. The location is Camden but it’s basically the edge of Kentish Town. We had no hot water and at first they tried to make us fix the boiler ourselves by sending a video.
The shower is small. One sink is small with a shelf over it so you can’t even brush teeth. There are a couple of steps in the apartment so it’s not suitable for very small children or mobility challenged people.
- Carmen (7/5): Apartment was decent and good location - Location was good. The pull out couch in the living room… the mattress is very disgusting and stained and needs to be replaced
- Azza (10/5): Exceptional - Strategic and love it All good
- Choi (5/5): Other than the dislike things mentioned above, the apartment is generally ok. - Location (i) Hidden nail beneath the carpet somewhere along the corridor and hurt my son when walking barefoot along there. Couldn't locate the exact location of the nail afterwards. Probably the nail was loose and had been pressed down by my son's foot.
(ii) WiFi not available in bedrooms. Saw the home plug WiFi device along the corridor leading to bedrooms downstairs but didn't know the device name and password. The WiFi name & password provided by the reception could only work in the living room.
- Erik (1/5): Avoid this company - misleading business practices and dirty unit - Nothing The property we were placed in was different than the one shown on booking.com and was in poor and dirty condition with a much less desirable location. Beware of this property manager
- Mindaugas (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jamie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lucy (7/5): And absolutely lovely stay with perfect location right in the centre of Camden! - Once we located the office it was really easy! A sign on the door or slightly more specific instructions could have made finding it a little easier. But it was still a very simple process.
- Bonnie (8/5): Hopping Camden location, larger old apartment. - Superior location. Interesting place with lots of great dining and shopping options. Close to an excellent park and gardens. Large rooms. A bit musty smelling in downstairs bedrooms.
Apartments are allocated after renting so location and amenities may change.
- Villalvilla (4/5): Disappointing -
- Joe (3/5): rip off and wrong location - It had beds I booked this apartment for one reason and one reason only and that was its location, cost not an issue. so when it turned out I was 20 minutes walk from the advertised address I was more than disappointed.
It was also pointed out to me before arrival that if I was a late check in (after 8pm) there would be a £50 cash fine. My train arrived at King’s Cross at 7:50 so I sent a friend to collect the keys. They were unable to collect them despite having the ID required as they wanted a £300 deposit and couldn’t do that over the phone with me. I’ve never needed a deposit for an air bnb or booking.com apartment. Hotels fair enough but then it’s never been that high. Anyway the train arrives 5 mins early, I run across town, arrive out of breath at 8:03 and the man jokes about trying to arrange an earlier pick up and how unfortunate it was we couldn’t take payment over the phone. I sign the paperwork, photo copy ID and then…”I need the £50 cash before I give you the keys”. 3 minutes late and they can’t give me the discretion of the fine. I hand over the money and he then hands me a map with the directions to the apartment. The address is different from the one I booked. I’m told that this is an advisory address and due to availability I’ve been given this other apartment. We’ll im sorry but the systems set up by booking.com would allow the correct address to be sold. also all the other reviews refer to the same apartment. To me it sounds like the answer I was given was dishonest and maybe everyone gets this address. If not then if you book with these you will be booking an apartment somewhere/anywhere in Camden.
On arrival to the apartment I was greeted to a funny smell, it’s a smell very reminiscent to rentals, I don’t know what it is but it had it and it’s unpleasant. facilities could not have been more basic, the bare minimum was available on every level.
- Gary (7/5): Good - it’s location nice and secure close to where I needed to be the sofa bed there are so many stains on it I was very off putting sleeping on it
- Yacine (10/5): Perfect stay in Camden Town in London ! - Perfect stay in Camden Town in London !
Nice & clean place, easy and friendly communication, and finally perfect location.
To be recommended :) N/A
