• Karen (10/5): Our favourite stay in Colombia - Absolutely loved this place, the family could not have been more helpful! Printing documents for us, recommending restaurants and trips, they were exceptional. Lovely hot shower, excellent Wi-Fi, comfy bed and gorgeous fruit, coffee and bread every morning! The bed was so comfy, clean and it was a pleasure to stay there. Got our laundry done too which was done so fast. Thank you to this wonderful couple. We loved our stay. Nothing

Helped us to book tours and gave advice every day on things to do. Every morning we were given coffee, fruit and some cake which was delicious. We asked to be moved to the family room which had a bathroom inside the bedroom. This was fantastic and very comfortable. Would recommend for your stay in Salento! Very well located as well

Marta nos ayudó en todo momento a organizarnos los días en la zona del eje cafetero, muy amables y se respiraba una energía muy bonita. Aunque no incluye desayuno, para nosotros realmente si lo incluía ya que por las mañanas te ofrecen un bol de fruta y pan con queso más infusión o café. Una maravilla!!!!! también nos ofrecieron servicio de traslado al aeropuerto a muy buen precio y en un buen coche y el conductor Juan Antonio era majísimo!! La habitación que elegimos en un primer momento, aunque ponía baño privado estaba fuera de la habitación. Pero se ofrecieron a darnos otra habitación, mucho más cómoda con el baño dentro y acceso directamente a la calle.

Les douches sont donc limitées à 5mns. Il n'y a pas de prise près du lit. S'il était possible de rajouter une chaise dans la chambre, ce serait super

Un accueil vraiment chaleureux, Marta est une femme extrêmement gentille et bienveillante qui nous a donné de nombreux conseils sur la région. Le café nous est servi tous les matins avec des fruits et de la brioche pour bien commencer la journée. La maison est bien placée dans le village tout en étant au calme. Les chambres sont propres. Martha te informaba de todo lo que hacer, trekkings, transportes, restaurantes.. Viajamos con un bebé y ella siempre estaba atenta a todo, dispuesta a ayudarnos. Nos sentimos como en casa.

• Patrick (10/5): Unterkunft mit Herz und Seele - Marta war eine einzigartige Gastgeberin. Von der ersten Minute haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie hat uns die Möglichkeiten der Sehenswürdigkeiten aufgezeigt, uns bei der Buchung unterstützt, sogar Tickets für das lokale Jeep-Taxi geholt. Kurzum hat sie uns alles abgenommen, so dass wir uns zu 100% auf die Erlebnisse konzentrieren konnten. Was uns zudem sehr gut gefallen hat war die Ruhe. In Gehdistanz waren wir in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum, hatten jedoch nicht den Trubel und Lärm.
• Silvy (10/5): Lieve hosts en perfecte uitvalsbasis - Alles. Fijne kamer. Tophosts die je voorzien van een degelijke uitleg over wat je allemaal kan doen. Er stond zelfs water klaar en we kregen elke dag een ontbijt (fruit en brood) om onze dag goed te starten, hoewel dit niet vermeld stond. Ze doen ook je was voor een zeer goed prijsje (7.000 COP per kilo) Voor ons geen probleem, maar wij sliepen in een kamer aan de straat en dat kan best gehorig zijn. Maar zo is het nu eenmaal vaak in Colombia. Voor ons geen probleem, nogmaals, maar misschien wel voor echte lichte slapers.

Se preocupó a cada instante de explicarme cómo llegar a los sitios, recomendarme restaurantes, qué excursiones hacer etc etc Además el café con fruta y pan dulce con el que me obsequiaron cada mañana es de 10. Tanto Marta como Hugo te atenderán como nadie desinteresadamente. Realmente me dio pena irme del Hostal y de Salento.
• Makein (9/5): Lugar tranquilo y bonito - Los anfitriones fueron excepcionales. Marta y Hugo nos explicaron todo lo necesario para andar por Salento. El lugar era muy silencioso y tiene una ubicación buena porque está apenas a unos minutos de la plaza principal y lo suficientemente alejado para no escuchar el bullicio de la gente. Los baños, aunque están fuera de la habitación cada uno tiene el suyo y no son utilizados por otras personas. Si quieres tender la ropa no tiene buen sitio para hacerlo porque las cuerdas que tienen no están techadas y si llueve la ropa se moja. Si no quieres que la ropa se moje tienes que ponerla en cualquier otro lugar.

Nous avons été accueilli pendant ces 3 nuits par Martha, une femme absolument adorable et très chaleureuse. Chaque matin nous avions droit à un café, un pan de queso typique de Colombie et de fruits banane, ananas etc. Martha a pris le temps de nous donner des conseils et des plans pour accéder aux meilleurs itinéraires et ainsi vivre la meilleure expérience possible à Salento ! Nous avons même pu faire laver notre linge. Un énorme plus quand on est en back pack. On a adoré cet établissement. Très typique et très bien placé. Légèrement humide

Marta es súper querida, me dió indicaciones de qué hacer, donde comer, y en general estuvo muy pendiente de mí. Además incluía un rico desayuno con una porción grande de fruta y un pan súper rico!

• Lirda Ximena (10/5): - Martha y Hugo, fueron muy amables y diligentes con todo lo que necesitamos. El lugar estaba muy limpio y cómodo. Las habitaciones eran luminosas y con vista a la montaña. Nos ofrecieron en las mañanas fruta deliciosa, con pan y bebida caliente. Sin duda es el mejor lugar en que me he quedado en Salento, por su relación costo-beneficio, lo recomiendo.

L’accueil a été excellent : les propriétaires, d’une grande gentillesse, étaient toujours disponibles et aux petits soins. Ils nous ont donné de précieux conseils pour profiter des activités dans la région. Chaque matin, nous avions même droit à de délicieux fruits frais. Le logement, en plus d’être confortable, est idéalement situé, ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Tout était parfait!

• Rosanna (10/5): We’d definitely stay again - Really lovely hosts who gave us lots of tips and advice for the local area and the cocora valley walk. Well located and not too much street noise at night time (still good to bring earplugs but suspect that’s a factor anywhere in town). Free water is provided and a light breakfast. We enjoyed our stay! I found the double bed a bit hard for sleeping, but I could just sleep on one of the softer singles instead in the same room so worked out fine.

Hugo and Marta were incredibly warm and welcoming – I felt right at home. The beds were comfortable, the rooms spacious, and the breakfast absolutely delicious. They were always thoughtful, offering great tips for day tours and making sure everything was perfect. So honest and caring – I can’t recommend them enough. I truly hope to return one day!

Warm showers! Great WiFi. No windows/curtains, just shutters, so it was quite loud at night. Would recommend earbuds! No charging points near the bed.

• Gloria (10/5): Exceptional - Marta was so nice and helpful, she provided us with a lot of useful and honest info about the town. The location was perfect and rather quiet. She woke us up everyday with a tiny breakfast, that was also cute. We borrowed an umbrella from her and lost it :( and thankfully, she was not mad about it. We were really sorry about that.

• Mateusz (10/5): Amazing host, very comfortable rooms - Amazing hospitality, the owners are so helpful, my wife became ill and Martha and her husband helped us in everyway possible, they went to the shops to get medicine, cooked her simple rice to help with digestion etc etc. The room was extremely comfortable, especially the beds! Shower was hot and had good pressure, the breakfast provided was a lovely start to the day. Martha also helped with recommendations and explain Salento to us. Highly recommend Nothing
• Daisy (10/5): An amazing stay - Beautifully decorated, light and breezy but also was warm and cosy at night. Easy walk to the main area but far enough out it was nice and quiet. The owners are incredibly helpful and kind, could not recommend this place more!!! Lovely simple breakfast included and the owners have great recommendations for the local area. Nothing!

• Patrick (10/5): A warm stay - We really enjoyed our stay at Jericho hostel, it had a nice family feel to it by the hosts. The room was a good size with shutters, a comfortable bed and several layers of covers. The bathroom and shower were separate from the room but this was fine with us and both were very clean. The hosts were amazing and so lovely. Martha gave us lots of information and recommendations when we arrived and helped us to book the best tours. She had breakfast (bread, fruit and coffee) ready whenever we got up and was always really friendly and helpful when we saw her. Thanks for making our stay so lovely.
• Krzysztof (9/5): Superb - Very nice lady owner. The woman is very nice and we felt very well looked after. Even though they don't serve breakfast there, the lady treated us to coffee and local bread every morning:) Unfortunately, every night something was biting us in our beds. I think it was ants.:(
• Hannah (10/5): Loved staying here - Highly recommend staying here! Martha is such a kind host. She provides you with lots of suggestions of things to do in the area and is always a friendly welcoming face. The light breakfast of cheesy bread, fruit and coffee was a lovely touch. The beds are really comfy. We stayed an extra night as we liked Salento and this accomodation so much! Some street noise but nothing too bad and not the hostel's fault.

• Diana (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean place, great typical house. Good location not so close to the main plaza so it's better because you hear less noise. The hosts were amazing. The tv didn't work but that was not an issue because we wanted to disconnect and relax.

• Sam (9/5): A good option in Salento - Traditional lodging, which means basic facilities, but we had a friendly welcome from the owners and the town of Salento is well worth a visit for a couple of days. 30 year old broken TVs in the rooms 🤷‍♂️
• David (9/5): Superb - The host was super friendly, helpful and even gave us coffee, fruit and bread every morning even though there wasn't suppose to be breakfast. Room was spacious, clean and right in the town. It was a little noisy outside but everywhere in salento opens onto the street so I think this is unavoidable unless you stay outside the town which wouldn't be as handy.
• Morten (8/5): Extremely nice and hospitable hosts who are happy to share their knowledge and recommendations with - Extremely nice hosts. The hostess had set aside time to talk about the city's various sights and opportunities, which was very valuable to us. Although it is obviously not stated in the description, there is a light breakfast included in the stay, which is of course just a positive bonus. Nice location. Good Wifi connection. The room is very simple (no TV, desk or similar). Similarly, there is a private bathroom attached to the room, but it is necessary to go through the common room to reach the bathroom. However, this is reflected in the (low) price, I think.
• Matt (10/5): Must stay. Fantastic owners. Don't miss out. - Friendless of the owners. Amazing local homemade bread along with fruit and coffee for breakfast. Helped us a lot in booking tours. Even drew out a map for the cocoa valley Bed was so comfortable. Really enjoyed our staff. Thank you Nothing. Everything perfect.
