- Lori (10/5): Stay here and feel refreshed - The owners are simply wonderful!!! The room and accommodations are terrific. The pool is a great amenity.
- Isabel Fernanda (10/5): - La atención de los dueños, fueron muy amables. Y nos ayudaron, cuando lo necesitamos.
Muy tranquilo y bien equipado.
- Irene (8/5): Vakantiegevoel - Vriendelijke ontvangst. Na het zwemmen vroeg ik om een kopje thee en die werd gezet en naar de kamer gebracht. -
- Karen (10/5): Muchos Gracias - Maria & Pedro were very accommodating and friendly for me and my 2 dogs. Beds were very comfortable, shower was perfect, had a beautiful balcony overlooking the stunning valley and they even let me park my car there for a week, which was very helpful.
It is right on the camino route too
- Simone (9/5): -
- veslemoy (10/5): excellent location from the camino - and fantastic room and bathroom - host and hostess lovely - lovely hostess - super clean - lovely big room - they helped with my wet boots - and all else I needed
so kind and sweet -
the room and bathroom where excellent nothing really
- Diaz (9/5): - Quaint private house attended by husband and wife team. Very clean. A little bit off the Camino path
- Héctor (10/5): - Fantásticas personas. Gracias!!
- Kunter (10/5): Charming and friendly - Owned by a lovely elderly couple, Maria and Pedro. They were very helpful and kind. They made great recommendations for dinner and breakfast. Very close to the Camino. We stayed in a charming private room with a bathroom. Everything was very clean and functional. Definitely recommend it.
- Sona (10/5): Relaxing and wonderful stay - Beautiful stay. Our room was modern but with charm, comfortable, roomie, soft towels, great shower, and had a balcony overlooking the valley. The garden is inviting. Our hosts were exceptional and take great pride in their property. Highly recommend this place if you’re staying in Obanos. Nothing, it was perfect.
- Gregor Wolfgang (8/5): -
- Michael (10/5): - The sweetest lady checked me in and was so kind
- Donald (9/5): -
- Mads (5/5): - Nice people
Nice balcony No water in pool
No food or drinks available
Shared bathroom were noisy
- Jhan (4/5): The elderly couple were welcoming but no facilities and certainly not the standard of a hotel - Nothing Our room seemed like an attic room. Not like an hotel room as advertised.
- MIREN AGURTZANE (10/5): -
- Rejane (10/5): Love it - Love the property The owner is really a sweetheart
- Dewayne (9/5): nice - nice people you need to look for food in the next town, a ten minute walk or short drive
- Caroline (7/5): An authentic Spanish stay with very kind hosts and a lovely breakfast - The rooms were comfortable and it was quiet It was difficult to find and there was nowhere local to eat
- Mimiuk (6/5): As this was on Monday night, only small bar was open in this small village, no good for big dinner. - Building and garden looks nice, interior arranged as country style atmosphere. Host couple is nice and friendly but they do not speak English, very difficult communication, there is no shampoo or soap in the bathroom asked to get ones.
- James (3/5): Please avoid unless you have to. - They just rent a room in the private house.
The house is old and the service is not professional. It was rainy and cold day when we stay. But there was not heating provided. The owner said there is no gas in the region from 5/1/2025 which we did not believe.
- Rita (10/5): Excellent place to stay very comfortable & super clean - Lovely clean nice place hosts was excellent very good & kind people I really enjoyed my stay Nothing
- Lou (6/5): Very basic accommodation, premium priced - The owners were very sweet, but all things considered given their age running the small hotel might be more than they’re capable of. We experienced difficulties using the keys provided to the front door. There was no Internet the television wouldn’t accommodate an HDMI cable it was ancient!
- Maggie (10/5): A truly heartwarming stay that felt more like visiting family than booking a room. - A perfect Camino stay—like being welcomed home
I can’t say enough good things about this stay. The home was spotlessly clean, quiet, and incredibly comfortable—just what I needed after a long day walking the Camino. But what truly made it special was the kindness and hospitality of the hosts. They prepared me a delicious homemade dinner, poured me a glass of wine, and made me feel like I was part of the family.
In the morning, they sent me off with fresh fruit and bread for my walk, insisting I take “just one more” like the sweetest kind of send-off. It was warm, thoughtful, and genuine—everything you could hope for in a Camino stop.
Highly recommend staying here if you're passing through. It’s more than a place to rest—it’s a place to feel at home. This isn’t really a dislike, just a helpful tip- our hosts don’t speak English, so I recommend bringing a translation app or phrasebook to help with communication. They are incredibly warm, animated, and eager to help, and it’s even easier to appreciate their kindness and generosity when you can understand one another. With a little effort, the language barrier is easy to navigate—and absolutely worth it.
- Niamh (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely warm welcome by the owner, they were so helpful. It was very clean. Loved the home from home feel from the bed linen and towels. It was nice and warm. The shower had great power great to wash away the dirt from the day on the Camino WiFi code was a bit tricky but we sorted it.
- Margaret (10/5): Excellent stay - A very charming and kind couple. Family run establishment. Really enjoyed our stay. Nothing. Great place
- Klara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Franciska (10/5): Excellent hosts, lovely home and grounds. Guests have their own unit upstairs with an available lift - Home made food, great hosts. Very personal experience. Great stay near the Camino and close to Puenta la Reina, 1 km walk. Lovely people, lovely stay. N/A
- Karlie (10/5): Exceptional - The owners of the property are a lovely couple who are so welcoming and such a pleasure to talk to , we only stopped for one night during our travels into Spain would definitely stay here again if needed
- Amy (10/5): Amazing place to recharge on the Camino - The house is beautiful, the view amazing and it is run by the sweetest couple. They are so kind and accommodating, reminding me of my grandparents.
- Ken (10/5): Kind and hospitable beautiful hosts. - Excellent hosts, great location and lovely home
- Johan (8/5): Good Stay in Obanos - We were allocated the attic room with lift access. Spacious and nice view from the balcony. Clean and basic room. The owners were very kind.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (10/5): Wonderful hospitality during our Camino - Maria and Pedro were fantastic hosts. They were very welcoming during our Camino. They served us a lovely dinner in their home and made us feel very comfortable.
- Darrell (10/5): A sweet family and nice place to sthey. - Why fight to get into a hostal when you can come to this wonderful location. The family here runs a beautiful home. They also have a disability elevator for you to use so you don't have to carry your pack and gear up the stairs. It's a short walk to the center of town.If you choose to get food or drink there. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well maintained. If you ask, they will also do your laundry and provide you a dinner and breakfast at A minimal cost. Maria and pedro are absolutely beautiful people and you will see their kindness in generosity if you stay there. Not applicable.
- Evan (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely beautiful property, great views, spacious rooms. Hosts were amazing, so kind. Book ahead, this property seems to be booked well in advance. Top notch.
- Allan (8/5): Lovely comfortable clean room , can recommend - Beautiful clean comfortable room We were offered dinner, which was nice but basic. Cost of 25€ was at least 10€ over what we have had elsewhere. Nice meal, just way over the top on price
- Anthony (10/5): Perfect place for a family. - Perfect for a group/ family / couple Camino. You can rent the full house. Most of the Pilgrims are staying at Ponte de la Reina. Obanos is less active and less popular. If you walk with a Camino family, best to find a place in Ponte de la Reina.
- Rydberg (10/5): Exceptional - Extraordinary sightseeing from the room. Very nice owners/personal.
