Guest Reviews
- Michelle (7/5): Charming cottage needs better management. - The cottage decor was lovely and it was well equipped with everything you need for a great stay. Beds were comfortable The fallen tree in the back yard and rickety fence spoiled the ambiance and the yard certainly is not secure for dogs. The bedding particularly in the main bedroom, although clean had a strong musty smell which was off putting.
Beware that the realty company just charges your credit card for the full balance 14 days beforehand. I would have liked an option to pay another way than just being charged by this method as I was sharing the cottage with my sister and she wanted to put her share of the charge on her overseas credit card. The realty company refused to credit my visa and charge hers which seemed really ridiculous and archaic in these modern times! Also having to pick up the keys at the realty office some distance from the cottage was inconvenient!

- Amanda (10/5): Gorgeous little beach cottage. Really would like to stay here again. - Everything. It was perfect. (Only negative was the fallen down tree and damaged fence. The iron used to patch it up was potentially very dangerous to children and pets.
- Domenica (8/5): - The house was fabulous. The backyard was unusable due to a fallen tree. We had not been advised prior to arrival. Attempts were made to secure the property after a call however the fences were unsafe for children and pets. And the bins had not been emptied.
- Lillian (10/5): -
- Kelley (9/5): It was a great property with great amenities and great location, would happily stay there again. - It was a great location It wasn’t entirely fenced in as the house was raised high enough that our dog could get out underneath it
- Tiana (8/5): Lovely cottage very comfortable yard needs at lot of attention doesn’t rate dog friendly in its current state - The cottage itself was wonderful very nice inside, clean, very comfortable, fantastic area lovely week away Sorry about the damaging storm that happened over 2 months but the state of the yard was very disappointing driving up to the property and seeing the front yard , trees down, broken limbs hanging and laying everywhere, gutter guard hanging down I was a little worried first impressions always leave memories. And the very large dead tree in the back yard and damaged fence and the amount of leaf matter was very concerning especially with our little fur baby definitely not dog safe or proof. The yard definitely needs lots of love and attention and the property shouldn’t be listed and be charging extra for being dog friendly
- Laura (8/5): - Very clean, charming and inviting residence. The back deck are was particularly lovely. Well, the workmen using their airpowered tools at 6am every bloody morning! Not a nice way to greet the morning, partic6when you are post op from surgery and expecting a place where you can rest and recover.
Also, workmen would park across the drive way, blocking us in, and we would have to find them and ask them to move their vehicle.
No bin in the kitchen.
The coffee cups were dirty on arrival and the kitchen benches sticky.
No fire pit in the backyard as shown in the promo photos.
- Debra (10/5): Perfect. My sister is recovering from breast cancer and my elderly mum has been nursing my dad who has terminal cancer s - Everything, it was perfect for a rewarding holiday with my mother and sister and 2 Aunts. Great size, location very pretty decor and a relaxing location that enabled my sister and I to take our little dogs. Even though we had a storm event on the Saturday we were cozy and safe. Will definitely be booking this again for my own little family holiday. Just perfect If anything the gap under the fences back yard made things a little tricky with small dogs that could fit under. But it could be easy fixed I feel and the doggies enjoyed the holiday just the same. It was lovely to have a pair of bush turkeys coming and going and the dogs soon got used to them. The only other thing I’d add is one of the pictures in the main room fell during the night on my mum’s head. She was unharmed but it gave her a scare. I noticed another picture down in the third bedroom when we arrived so my guess is the heat is bringing the tape used to hang them unstuck. It would be a good idea to fix these in another way as it could end with someone getting a nasty cut when they fall.
- Murray (10/5): Bon Cottage - Great location, very cute little cottage. The place was presented beautifully and it had everything you needed to stay the first night. A credit to the owners the way it was presented. We had our wedding party stay for 3 nights and we had a blast. Walk to all Worrim shops and eateries, surf club and pub. The beds were super comfy and plenty of furniture for 6 people.
- Carol (7/5): We were a family of 5 adults, and we were able to stay comfortably for the 5 days. - How close the home was to the beach access. The place did not have screens on windows or doors for Mozzies and fly's
The large outside rubbish bins were already full to the top and so we then had to put of rubbish bag in the bin after it had been collected, but we took all our recycling cans and bottles home with us to put in our bin at home.
Oh and No Dish Washer :-)
- Melissa (10/5): Comfortable, enjoyable and fun. - Clean, decorated beautifully and very nice attention to detail. Amazing service.
- Prudence (10/5): It is a charming place to stay with a dog. - We liked the fact it was pet friendly and offered a large enclosed space for our dog to play. Also the cottage was in a good position for getting around Bribie Island. No wardrobe in the main suite.
- Kelly (10/5): Wonderful, would stay again! thank you - The location was great the house was well equiped and very clean and comfortable. Recommended.
- Sania Dary (10/5): We had a very comfortable stay. The place got everything we need - Excellent location yet very quiet.
- Stuart (8/5): Very good -
- Greg (10/5): Perfect, perfect & perfect! Suited all our needs, just wish I had more time there to enjoy. ☺️ - The location was exceptional from where we had to go daily. Nothing, everything was perfect..
- Matt (9/5): Had an awesome stay and would visit again! - Excellent for the dog , huge fenced backyard and dog friendly beach 10 minutes walk away and nearby dog friendly cafes
Close walk to everything beach, shops, surfclub and pub
Charming cottage with beachy, boho vibes. Excellent outdoor deck area A huge sand catching mat at the bottom of back stairs, forever sweeping it off the deck.
Security screens on front windows to allow fresh airflow whilst sleeping.
- Connie (9/5): Superb - Gutters were blocked with leaves so water from heavy rain poured onto deck
Driveway was in much need of fixing
A carport would be great
- Jess (9/5): Superb - Cute little house! 2 bathrooms and full kitchen, large deck with huge daybed and private backyard! Lovely place to stay for a weekend. Short stroll to the beach, markets or surf club! highly recommend!
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional - Modern outlay of the house and location Air cons in bedrooms
- Diana (9/5): Superb -
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joy (9/5): Will definitely recommend. It was a beautiful house, very comfy, nice quiet neighbourhood and close to the beach. - Set out well, had everything you need No fly screens or dishwasher
- Kasey (10/5): Overall we had a fantastic stay! We could hear water from the back deck. - Beautiful house, location to beach was fantastic. Very beachy feel to the house and we felt relaxed the whole time. Beds were extremely comfy and everyone was complimenting that the showers were amazing. Council rubbish bins over flowing at the property and the birds were spreading rubbish throughout the front yard. Collection and drop off of keys at rental office slightly inconvenient a lockbox at property would be more convenient if an option.
- Fiona (8/5): Very good -
- Brandon (10/5): Exceptional - Ran out of gas the first day, had to replace bottle
- Hayley (10/5): Beautiful cottage - Beautiful cottage within walking distance of the beach and shops. Great outdoor space and firepit.
- Fiona (9/5): Superb -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (10/5): We all enjoyed our family holiday; the location and facilities were great. - Location
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Beautifully decorated, very comfortable. Close to the beach. The wood deck out the front, the spacing was a little too big. Feels a little scary walking on it.
- Derryn (10/5): Awesome place to stay. Gorgeous spacious cottage. - Good location handy to the beach. A short drive into the main shopping area. The property was awesome, lovely and clean, beautifully decorated, but still had a comfortable feel about it. Gorgeous bathrooms. Loved the outdoor deck covered area. Great backyard.
- Colleen (7/5): We enjoyed our little getaway. - Air conditioning and fans although fans outside on the deck would be great. Great location for what we wanted, the house is comfortably furnished. It's difficult to regulate water temperature in the showers with the current taps, I called and was advised there was a sign with instructions but we could not find these instructions.
The bbq was out of gas which was very annoying and inconvenience at 7 pm on Sunday night.
In the kitchen there is not a great deal of crockery, dishes, cutlery (only 5 knives and very few teaspoons) etc.
- Rosey (7/5): Good - Location to beach and cafes etc
Comfortable beds
Decor No mirrors in bedrooms
- Vanessa (9/5): Amazing cottage, great location - Everything Nothing
- Regina (9/5): Had an enjoyable week, but for the cost would have expected a bit more as per previous comments - No dishwasher, would expect one for the price we paid. Also the yard could have been better maintained, mowed & leaves raked up under the mango trees. Property was dog friendly but not dog proof as there were gaps under the fence & under cottage.
Cottage was great & great location
- Tanya (9/5): Excellent location and quiet. Close to surf beach. - The property was instantly inviting and spacious.
Loved the little decorating touches. Couldn’t use Weber, gas bottle empty.
Rest of property had everything we needed and more!
- Connie (8/5): Nice place to getaway from the everyday and relax. - Very clean and homely. Such a great back deck to sit & relax. The driveway was not great.
- Julie (10/5): Will book again for next trip to Bribie Island, - The location suited us as it was close to golf course, beach, surf club and coffee shop. Nothing
Not a dislike but as we had heavy rain during one of our golf events, we came home drenched a clothes dryer would have been handy we had to bring all our wet gear home the following day.
Also, not a dislike we could not find the hair dryer or it was missing?
- Jacqui (9/5): Lovely quiet spot -
- Leanne (10/5): Beautiful house with pets allowed - Liked location of the house Fact it was roomy and clean
- Michael (9/5): Great weekend relaxing in a beautiful location - Location was great
Very clean and nice touches like milk and wine in fridge Needed some storage in main bedroom
Suggest some floor length mirrors might be hung behind doors in bedroom
- Hannah (9/5): Superb - A great location, just a short walk from the beach. Very tidy and spacious. The back deck is amazing Beds are very soft
The bathroom products (shampoo etc) could be improved
No staples in the kitchen (salt, pepper and oil)
- Natalie (10/5): Pretty little cottage lives up to its name - Decor, deck and location-very nicely decorated and presented property..huge deck with dining area and daybed and the location was fantastic quiet road but two minutes walk to cafes, shops pubs and a beautiful beach Beds a bit soft for us, no salt n pepper that we could find? Could go more eco friendly on the toiletries- but all extremely minor points though..it was pretty much perfect
- Inyoung (9/5): Superb - Beach and local shops are 350meter within walking distance. Magpie nest was coner of place in September.
- Kerri (9/5): Superb - Handy location; amenities were nice; facilities were great; very comfortable with plenty of space for friends/family to pop in as well. Wildlife visited each day to add to the enjoyment.
- Trish (10/5): A Hidden Gem on Bribie Island - Beautiful, Charming cottage, oozes style with attention to all the finer detail. Homely and comfortable! Stocked with everything you require.
- Drozd (9/5): Superb -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacob (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (9/5): So clean and sleek cottage. Love it. I will go back again - So fancy renovation and lovely little cottage No dishwasher and no cloth dryer.
- Siegyy (7/5): Good -
- Melodie (9/5): Superb -
- Aimee (10/5): a beautiful cottage in an incredible location - we loved staying here! - it was the perfect home away from home! so Cosy and beautifully styled we saw some small cockroaches coming up from the shower drain in en-suite each night
- Angela (7/5): Good -
- Ejay (8/5): Expensive for location - The deck Lack of small basics like salt pepper etc tissues. No coffee machine is a big drawback for the price
- Anonymous (9/5): excellent - clean and spacious
comfortable
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniele (10/5): Exceptional - The decor, comfort and location. Backyard access so we could safety store kayaks and bikes. Never had to use the car. Nothing.
- Steven (8/5): Very good - Awesome little cottage, neat and tidy. Great location with shops and restaurants within walking distance! Only small negatives, we would have thought for 6 guests for 2 nights that more than 2 rolls of toilet paper would have been provided. Basic salt and pepper would also have been great. :)
- Carol (10/5): Fantastic property, great location, very comfortable, presentation was spot on! - Excellent location - walking distance to local shops/beach and a short drive to the town centre. Gorgeous property, decorated so well, comfortable beds/furniture - all pretty well just perfect! Only negative things was that my dogs (1 medium/1 large Labradors) managed to escape under the house out to the front of the property as there's no baseboards. No baseboards to house - to make the property 100% secure for dogs would be my only suggestion :0)
