Guest Reviews
- Benjamin (2/5): Keep away. - Location The ad did not align with what items was made available. This included toilet paper and an electric kettle being missing, amongst other things. Apparently linen was available, but other than the bed cover, a blanket half the size of the bed was made available, being adequate for a person less than 1.20m in height. The key was not in my room as informed by the person communicating. They did not respond when queried. Even more annoying, booking.com did not respond after I gave them a message regarding the disparity. The extensive volume of what appears to be pubic hair shows the shower was not thoroughly cleaned. The shower, toilet, and basin are located in the same area, making it hard to use any of the three when there are many people sharing. This lead to people screaming at each other at 6am in the morning, alongside the audio mixed on a phone in the room (with no door) so the person in the shower could hear it. Due to no response and no safety of my gear, I had to carry my luggage around the following day.
- Junnun (2/5): Very poor -
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Dr (5/5): I would say it was alright...but it could improve if necessary. - Room was spacious..
Had a refrigerator..
Toilet was good. It was difficult to sleep at night because of two things.
1.Light of the AC was so strong and was illuminating the room...this was not good for a comfortable sleep.
2.Light from the windows was coming inside the room as it was glass ..without a curtain. Proper curtain has to be there..
Apart from this..
1.Toilet you have to climb one foot up and not at the room level, This could be dangerous for a old person.
2.In the toilet ..there are no hinges to hang clothes or the towel. This has to be adjusted.
3.It is necessary to have a one sitting chair at least. When inquired ..they said we don't provide.
4.Steps has to be climbed with the bags..it was good if we had a lift...may be not a reality here.
- Saif (7/5): Overall, the location is ideal but the room is too small. I didn't like the service though. - The location was great. Very masjids were nearby. Moreover, the MRT station was just 3-4 min away. There were many good food places too. The room was too small with no facilities. They don't clean the rooms every day, don't provide towels themselves, and no dedicated person is there to take care of the rooms or queries.
- Abdullah (1/5): Awesome !!! Reception Staffs to be behave properly with the guests. - In a city like SGP, this type of hotel should be upgraded with minimum facilitities for family stay.
Not all the tourists are millionaire !!
Authority should rethink about the matters, so all classes of tourists can visit their country in a affordable way. Everything.

- Mizanur (3/5): Staff should have behavior good - Allover color is new & looks nice 1) Staff should have cooperate & need improve behavior
2) Daily should have leaning the room
3) A Bucket need
4) Still bed is not comfortable
- Nur (3/5): Good luck if you try to book here. The frontdesk guy undertood me when I was checking in and giving the money, after I - Was able to accommodate us 4 in one room Lock was broken. Asked to be transferred to a different room as we don’t feel secured but they said they didn’t have any available so they will just fix the lock after 24 hrs (like seriously?). We are on a trip that we mostly spend time outside to explore and we can’t simple enjoy because they didn’t fix the lock right away. ACTUALLY, THEY DIDNT EVEN FIX IT UNTIL WE CHECKED OUT. I was doing some remedy myself when we go out coz we are not comfortable leaving the room unlocked with all our valuables. It took me 30 mins to 1hr each time I lock the door by screwing the broken parts using the key.
- Rani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chandrasekaran (4/5): Disappointing -
- Paul (1/5): Cupboard of a quickie - Location Nothing
- Gloria (6/5): just fine, enough to get by for 2 nights - nice staff, convenience store below hot shower was not working
- Jessa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nur (7/5): Affordable price & suitable for backpackers -
- Wey (3/5): disappointing - breakfast not included Ceiling leaking, child running at the corridor in the middle of night
- Mahesh (1/5): Bad -
- Chandrasekaran (5/5): Passable -
- Murad (6/5): Pleasant -
- Soaeb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pulasthi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bhanu (5/5): Passable -
- Magtoto (7/5): It was simple it affordable plus they have a convenient store downstairs! - Its was clean, aircon was good, love the bathroom! No TV!
- Jayakumar (1/5): Not worth and unhappy - Nothing I booked for private bathroom but they gave sharing
- Lada (2/5): Location is good, but rude staff, dirty and smelly rooms. - Location is good. Walkable from the subway station. 1) When I arrived I had to wait for at least 30 minutes for check in. I was extremely tired, but there were no chairs to have a sit.
2) The lady on the reception was extremely rude! The way she talked was absolutely inappropriate. The story is: somebody from the hotel offered me a bigger room, I had an email as confirmation. This lady told she didn’t send this letter, so she didn’t care. And in general she talked like she was extremely bothered. I do understand that Duke living is a cheap place, but minimum politeness would be highly appreciated.
3) There was terrible smell in the room they offered, it was absolutely impossible to be inside. I didn’t mind to stay in a small room, but the smell… They agreed to change it only after I told I was complaining to booking.com
4) They don’t accept card payments, only cash. Even though it was mentioned in the reservation that I can pay with the card, they asked me to give them cash. So, I had to spend time for finding atm and also had to pay some fee for withdrawal.
5) Another room they gave me was without terrible smell, but still very dirty. Dust on the chair was so bad like nobody cleaned it for a month at least (picture attached). Plus blankets and towels didn’t look clean.
6) No mirror in the room. They gave it only in the morning after I asked 3 times! And the mirror was very dirty too.
7) You can’t properly close the windows in the room. This felt really unsafe.
- Qson (6/5): Pleasant - Nothing to like The receptionist, not clean
- Hsiangfilm (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jm (1/5): Terrible - Stay away from this place! - There is nothing to like from this place. From check-in until check-out, the experience was terrible. 1. The rooms:
- Due to several issues with the rooms, we were moved 3 different times, each going worse and worst.
- The 1st room was uncleaned with used towels and used blankets strewn across the room. This should be raised to Ministry Of Health as a health hazard considering there is still threat of COVID.
- In the 2nd room given, the room was already occupied when we opened the room. This made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable knowing that the reception can give out our keys to other guests.
- Finally, the 3rd room assigned to us has a faulty aircon unit. Additionally, the paint smell is very bad which caused dizziness to our party. In fact, 2 of my companions got sick the very next day.
2. No lifts:
- If you are staying with a big luggage, take note that there are no lifts/elevators available.
3. Windows and Ventilation:
- The room's windows cannot be closed which made us feel very unsafe.
4. Reception and overall experience:
- We booked 2 nights but due to the ongoing issues with the aircon and safety/health concerns stated, we checked out early. We wanted to request for a refund for the last night but we were denied.
- Md (3/5): Poor -
- Choon (1/5): Bad -
