Guest Reviews
- Steve (7/5): -
- Catriona (8/5): Perfectly adequate for our short stay. - Very Conveniently located.
Right next door to coffee shop which opened early!
Other people might not like this as popular and people walking past our windows frequently but this didn’t bother us.
Very comfortable bed
Excellent communication from owners. Bathroom door
Very dusty on top of oven as had to adjust modem for wifi as not working when we arrived.
- Rita (7/5): - Bottom step at the front was too high, handrail could not be used when the fly screen door was open as it covered almost all of the rail, the rail needed to be on the other side
- Kim (8/5): - Location was fabulous, being right on esplanade. Unit was very comfy for us and had all we needed. We did appreciate the privacy blind on front window and the air con and fans for air circulation. Nothing we didnt like. We did have a little visitor running around 🐁 🙃. And would have loved to have a DVD player and some info on the areas around worth visiting.
- Sue (10/5): Would come again -
- Jocelyn Alison Joan (7/5): - The location is excellent.
Value for money. IGA and pub close by. No hand towels.
Noise transfer from coffee shop.
Cooking pans were not the best for eggs and the knives are not sharp. A paring knife would be helpful, please?
On street parking.
No fresh air, as no screens on doors, with no windows to open.
- Anne-Marie (8/5): Comfortable for a short stay - Space, air conditioning, kitchen amenities great, view, excellent location No ability to open windows for fresh air , kitchen very hot even on relatively mild days. Even though there were reflective windows and people couldn’t see in, they queued in front of the property probably not realizing it was accommodation, which was a little unsettling at times
- Eamon (9/5): Comfortable, suitable accommodation for a couple - Cleanliness; comfort; proximity to beach and shops
- Temika (8/5): -
- schroeder (8/5): -
- Rosslyn (9/5): - Wonderful property. So convenient to shopping, beach and eateries. Bit hard to fault this property...however given windows were fixed and no security doors there was limited access to fresh air.
Settee was a little low for a couple of oldies.
Genuinely loved this property and will stay a bit longer next time
- Catherine (8/5): Very comfortable good for weekend stay - Next door to cafe so had breakfast there first morning
Close to the venue for the party walking distance
Nice view of sea
Close to hotel had dinner there on Sunday Would be nice to be able to open door or window to smell some of that fresh sea air
Lots of Cobwebs on timbers on ceiling in kitchen
- Colin (8/5): - Nicely done out. Clean, bed comfortable, great space. Had instructions on how to use everything except coffee pod machine. Worked out how to use it but 1 pod was enough. Had they been decent pods - 4 pods for 2 people for 3 days is a bit stingy.
Wife having had a lot of experience with health and safety noticed there was no fire instructions or fire extinguisher or blanket.
- Newgrain (8/5): -
- Kim (8/5): Very good - Great location in the centre port Vincent
- Sia (9/5): Beautiful & convenient location. Very relaxing. - window needs a tint where you can see out but no one can look in.
- Sam (10/5): Lovely comfortable place. Good location and quiet. - Great location and proximity to the beach and places to eat. Very quiet. Everything was good.
- Sytsma (7/5): Good -
- Eimear (9/5): Superb - Excellent location! next to coffee shop where Chris serves a decent brew, pub and IGA also very close For us oldies bed too soft and caves in the middle
- Cameron (7/5): Great location but eccentric - Great location and view. Very clean and well equipped. Quirky decor = memorable. Be warned there is no ability to open any window. So no flow through fresh air. Only option is to open the doors (which open straight onto the street). Seems to be an old shop conversion.
Air con is only option in hot weather
- Leesa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - Great accommodation for us as a couple &our fur baby.
Location awesome 👌
Easy communication with owner, very prompt on any questions asked&helpful.
Highly recommend to stay again in the future.
Sue.
- Putland (9/5): Superb -
- Gail (8/5): Very good - Location great Having power
- Dianne (9/5): We just love it! - We look out at the sea
The unit is comfortable and provided everything we needed.
It's a bit quirky ( regarding furnishings and decorations)
This is the second time we have stayed there- we relaxed immediately and settled in quickly. There was a musty smell in the kitchen
- Amali (7/5): Good - clean, beautiful location and decor. the oven/microwave was not working and we were not informed of the issue until we had brought it up to the owners, which made eating inconvenient as we had planned around the oven/microwave. the fridge was also very weak and didn’t keep our stuff cold. other than that, very nice place.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional - The unit was in a perfect location to everything. Bed was comfortable and had everything we needed.
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional - The location was fantastic.
And fantastic pizza and wine next-door, 0
- Kala (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- Bernadette (8/5): Great location! - It was comfortable and very convenient for us The noise coming in from the next door apartment
- Anne- (10/5): Would go back in a heart beat - Great location and was very cosy&comfortable . Nothing comes to mind.
- Wayne (9/5): Seaside vibes - The location was central and convenient. The view from the window. The huge smart TV. The seaside vibe. Great for solo traveller or couple (as long as you're not shy 😉) Overall we loved our stay, however...
The bathroom wasn't very private, and the exhaust fan didn't work. It was a bit inconvenient having the kitchen access from the bedroom if someone wanted a sleep-in or nap.
- Bryony (9/5): Superb - Quiet location, great place to stay when exploring the Yorke Peninsula. Some services in town, IGA, coffee shop ( next door), and a kiosk down the street to get great fish and chips. Owners were easy to communicate with.
Comfortable and clean accommodation. Nothing
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josie (10/5): Exceptional - Cleanliness, styling, & location
- Jencat (8/5): Cute place in good location - It was a lovely room, nicely furnished and comfortable beds. Very close to everything and right across from the beach. Bedroom floor had sand on it. Coffee machine was full of used pods and water so i had to clean before i used it. Ants in the sugar. Face washers was stained or dirty i hope just stained. There was a notice saying i had to take my rubbish. Where,! im flying to Melb. Do i illegally dump it. The place was not cheap so i think they can take a bag of rubbish. I suppose it may refer to excessive rubbish. ?? A bit of a worry all weekend. In the end I just left it. Some of it was from previous tenants (coffee pods and sand)
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location with exceptional views,Close to everything needed.Coffee shop next door is amazing.100% Recommend.😊 Nothing to dislike..
- Braydon (10/5): Absolutely beautiful ❤️ - The comfort and the serenity
- Kate (8/5): Very good -
- Ka (8/5): Very good -
- Kirsty (8/5): Very good -
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (6/5): Pleasant - Location
Bed comfortable Electrics going out when rained
Electric hotplate that didn't work properly
- Helen (8/5): Comfy, a bit quirky very relaxing, convenient and hospital standard cleanliness - Very good location, high standard of cleanliness, contemporary furniture and very comfy bed. Would be improved with timber bi-fold doors into kitchen to make bedroom darker and to mask the noise from refrigerator. Also noisy people early in morning sitting on chairs outside lounge window spoilt Sunday morning sleep in.
- Alison (6/5): Pleasant - The location bathroom was clean Unclean pans, saucepans not compatable to stove top, furniture uncomfortable,no ants but mouse . Felt it was overpriced.
- Natalie (8/5): Very good -
- Ron (9/5): Superb -
- Glenys (9/5): Very relaxing and everything we needed for a comfy stay - Location and sea views were great and loved the quirky interior
Coffee shop next door and hotel over the road were a bonus
Will stay again. Good location to see the rest of the peninsula The front window cleaned and maybe a screen door to let the lovely sea breeze in as no windows to open.
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous location, able to walk everywhere. Also a perfect place to base yourself when exploring the entire peninsula.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dorothy (7/5): Lovely place to stay and well located. - I chose this property for the location and view and that didn't disappoint. Great location to walk to everything. Comfortably appointed except for the couch - the seats were OK for lying or reclining but not for sitting. Plenty of wardrobe space so everything could be put away. Great TV and view from the front room. Contact from the hosts was quick when we had a question based on a review note about the light from the kitchen to the bedroom which was not an issue. Good dining room table and chairs near the sideboard. Rail in the roomy shower cubicle :) Being next door and having a shared wall with the coffee/wine/pizza place meant that there was a lot of noise sometimes. The issue with the ants cannot be underestimated. Apart from the top of the sugar jar (which we didn't see until too late as we didn't use the sugar) we didn't see anything at the property to warn about the ants which was disappointing and a shame. Sofa not conducive to sitting or providing support. We ended up using a deck chair that we had with us. Steep step at the front door (this is the only entrance and exit).
Edit: 7 March 2024 - The ants were so friendly that some decided to hitch-hike back home with us in my Samsonite Beauty case which was only ever located in the bathroom.
- Paul (10/5): Great location and beautiful apartment overlooking the sea - Great location and really clean Nothing here
- Anne (7/5): Good - Great ocean view Windows didnt open
- Imogen (8/5): Very good -
- Janine (9/5): Coastal Cutie - Right across from beach.
Clean with good quality furniture.
Loved the coastal theme - well decorated.
The lovely coffee machine (I have the same one at home) Would be nice to have a screen door to let the sea breeze in.
I liked the blue alsynite sheeting for roof in the kitchen but didn't like the spider webs and seeing a big black spider in the sink in the morning.
It would be nice to have some sort of covering over the kitchen door so the light is blocked from bedroom in mornings.
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Definitely a great place to stay - Fantastic view, near coffee shop, everything was supplied that we needed Exhaust fan did not work in bathroom.
- Andrew (9/5): Awesome seaside retreat - Beautiful spot, unbelievable sunrise/sunset location. Very comfortable bed and lounge room. Kitchen appliances and utilities could be more modern and possibly updated. A lot of the pans were non-stick and had damage on them.. Now, although it's just a personal quirk but it would have been nice to see some tourist information in the unit featuring local produce and places of interest...
- Dianne (9/5): Very relaxing and would definitely come back again. - Great location across the road from beach and fishing area. Loved that we could walk to both the supermarket and hotel for dinner. Very clean accommodation with comfy bed and huge TV screen. Kitchen very well equipped.
- Anne (8/5): Very good - It was overlooking the beach , pet friendly and next door to Vincent The Providore for Coffee in the morning and fabulous Food and SA Wine for dinner.
- Erik (7/5): Comfortable and great location, beautifully decorated - Location is great close to shops and pub Would have liked somewhere to sit outside to look at the view
- Dianne (8/5): Loved it - mostly!! - The location - can see the sea from the bed! - the ambience of this quirky, interesting property - the kitchen facilities were great - bed comfortable - loved th at the coffee shop is right next door! There is no door between the kitchen and the bedroom - therefore light pours in through the perspex ceiling in the kitchen- also the door at end of kitchen which has opaque glass ( all look really interesting though and the hanging plants add to the overall look)
We would definitely come back and recommend to others if a door is installed.
There was also a minor problem of dripping on the kitchen roof- but only on the first night and it stopped around 11.30pm. Could have been air conditioning unit from next door ??? That may need attention.
- Catrin (10/5): Happily stay again - Eclectic, comfortable and spacious. We were really happy with our stay here. Walking distance to plenty but a good base to explore the Yorke Peninsula. Maybe a bit costly but we did really enjoy our time
- Alisha (7/5): Good - A very comfortable apartment with everything you could think of.
My dog loved it also The lack of sleep due to a constant drip on the carbonate roof from the air con/heater above us. Also a door or something to the kitchen would assist with reducing the noise on the roof and the light it let in especially in the morning.
The sink in the bathroom isn't very practical.nerds to be wider or come out more.
- John (7/5): Great location but needs work. - Fantastic location with a lovely ocean view The black mould in the shower and behind the tap in the bathroom was not great. Also the constant stream of sugar ants that were always there running through the bathroom were also concerning. The hot plate is terrible and can barely boil water. The vacuum cleaner filter needs replacing as when I used it, it smelled like old sweaty socks.
- Philip (7/5): Lovely place just trouble ants - The location was great Had no microwave and also had trouble with little ants around place .couldn’t leave anything out as ants.
- Meredith (9/5): Relaxing beach holiday in unique ‘Sea Forever’ apartment on foreshore at Pt. Vincent…. - Great location on the seafront in the centre of town. Eclectic smart nautical decor. Good quality furnishings and linen. Comfortable bed and lounge. Retro vibe. Well equipped kitchen. Nespresso machine. Pretty view. Huge tv.
- Dianne (8/5): Very good -
- Diane (8/5): Overall we had a great time and to have the beach on our doorstep was fabulous. - We liked the location, it was very handy to shops, pub and beach.
It was well stocked with utensils, crockery and cutlery.
Plenty of storage space.
It had a seafaring theme for the decor, which suited the apartment and overall it was cosy and enjoyable to stay in. We found the lounge quite uncomfortable unless you loaded it with pillows (that were in good supply, thankfully).
It was stated in the facilities that there was a bbq which led us to believe that there was an outdoor area and sadly there were neither of these.
There was only two dining chairs so couldn’t have dinner with another couple.
On arrival an electrical fuse had tripped and we had to wait for the fuse to be reset by a neighbour because it isn’t located in the apartment.
- Sue (8/5): Lovely comfortable place to stay - The location was great, literally across the road from the beach. The property itself was quirky and interesting.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - It was such a pleasure to be there. If I could rate it a 12 I would. Thankyou for the great comfortable accomodation
- Susanna (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (10/5): We had a delightful stay at sea forever and would recommend it to everyone. Fabulous location too. - The property was so well equipped, right down to body wash for the shower. It is decorated so well, was so appealing. The sofa was comfortable, as was the bed. Very well equipped kitchen as well. The location is perfect, right next door to a cafe, the supermarket, across the road from the pub and also across the road from the beach. There were no windows for fresh air however there was the roped 'fly screen' so the front door could be kept open and it was still private.
- Anonymous (10/5): can’t wait to return! - Location, comfort, everything was supplied, super clean no balcony for sitting outside
- Creina (10/5): Loved location and Pt V. - Great location so close to all and sea views.
- Ray (8/5): overall pleasant stay in well equipped apartment with lovely view - location, coastal decor, comfortable bed, size for two people, full kitchen. door to bathroom had a gap, no door into kitchen meant light from oven clock etc shone into bedroom in evenings
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Owen (10/5): Exceptional - -the perfect location
-had everything we needed
- Tanya (8/5): Very good - Location
Decor
- Robin (8/5): Very good - Couldn't ask or a better spot, beach across the road, shops, hotel and beach kiosk very close. Apartment was very comfortable and had a good decor. Not a lot of airflow, could do with a screen door.
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Travis (9/5): Relaxing getaway - Accommodation was nicely decorated and comfortable with everything you could need. Location was fantastic, everything close by and an amazing view of the water.
