Guest Reviews
- Shauna (5/5): Multiple disappointments - We liked the location of the property to the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum along with quick walks to restaurants.
The property itself is very nice and could have easily been a great stay if it wasn’t for all the disappointments we had. We liked that there was a gift basket of goodies and London travel sightseeing books in the kitchen. In addition, the kitchen had everything we needed and worked great.
The rental management company was responsive when we were locked out and very kind when they had to meet us when we got locked out. There were multiple disappointments:
1/ The property advertises that there is a bunk bed, which the kids were looking forward to. This is no longer on the property and is now two separate twin beds.
2/ When we arrived there were multiple soiled towels in the tub, either left from the cleaning crew (if there was one), or perhaps left from the previous guests that were never washed.
3/ Broken clothes dryer, it turns on and runs but doesn’t actually dry after multiple hours and tries.
4/ Multiple light bulbs were out all over the property.
5/ Owners random stuff was all over the property in closets, shelves, drawers.
6/ Entry door to the building is a pain to get into. The shop owner, who we retrieved the keys from, said guests had been locked out before. We were locked out for 1.5 hour+ and the rental agency had to come help.
7/ Barely any clean towels to use. Unsure if the property itself had even been cleaned prior. Used shower soap bars left in bathroom.
8/ It should be noted that the house is 4 stories, so there are 4 flights of stairs inside the house. This is not noted in property description but should be in the event there are disabled or elderly who cannot climb that many stairs. In addition there are two flights of stairs from the entry of the building to get to the flat (total 6 flights).
9/ Only hair dryer in all 3 bathrooms is broken.
10/ No shampoo, conditioner or body wash but there was leftover laundry detergent and dishwashing pods.
- Sarah (9/5): So lovely, I’ll try and book again every time I’m in London - So incredibly charming and spacious! Excellent location, close to the Gloucester tube and walkable to the V&A. I traveled with three children and it was absolutely perfect!
- Michelle (10/5): Excellent, luxurious home with real character, super location - Property was excellent and full of character, a real home away from home. Entrance hall was a little grubby and there was a cigarette but on the landing. This gave a poor first impression and didn’t do the apartment justice because when we entered the property it was super.
There were also a few light bulbs that needed to replaced and there was some food (melon) left in the fridge which should have been removed.
- Lena (9/5): A wonderful spacious flat!!! - Excellent location close to the Underground Gloucester station and many restaurants! A microwave oven, but the oven and toaster oven did the trick, just not as quickly.
- Wesam (5/5): Below average experience in a very expensive apartment - The number of rooms.
The number of bathrooms.
The location.
The space. The property when we arrived was not clean, the people before us left some food in the fridge, dirty dishes in the sink and the coffee machine was very dirty.
The beds are not comfortable, and the bedsheets were worn out.
The dryer doesn’t dry anything, though that was one of the reasons we picked this location.
The owners things were all over the property. Some of it was tidied up and some of it was very messy.
Too much stairs.
- Cerasela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arkady (6/5): Pleasant -
- Colin (9/5): London trip
London trip
Fun - Location, style of the property and space The key doesn't work properly in the front door. You have to spend a while trying to get in . Only having one set of keys for a party of 6.
- Georgia (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Spectacular apartment for family with young kids! - The apartment was conveniently located just 2 blocks from Gloucester station. We were traveling with family and it was very spacious to accommodate us all. Most importantly, it had a playroom for our kids to play!!! The full kitchen, several bathrooms, Terrance, private park, and bedrooms were all lovely. The owner even brought us a travel crib to use during our stay!! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Stairs… but that is everywhere in London :)
