• Kelly (9/5): - The view from our deck was absolutely stunning, we were brought dinner to our cute little cabin and it was delicious, such a treat. Shannagh and her husband were lovely, we had our dog and she was very welcome. Wish we had stayed longer, I would 100% recommend.

• Janet (8/5): - Friendly and accommodating host prepared us breakfast each morning and a tasty dinner by reservation. The cabin is cosy and comfortable. The location is beautiful. We look forward to returning when The Laughing Oyster restaurant is open for business.
• Joe (7/5): - Location was good and close to lund. Staff on site were friendly. Cabin was good once it warmed up. Couldn't get ahold of the owner when I arrived but had booked hrs prior. Wasn't expected so cabin was cold and not ready but the staff were swift in getting the beds made etc. Ladder to the loft needs to be at more of a angle for safety reasons. Breakfast was 1 egg and bread but we were able to get coffee. Will try again down the road and hopefully the experience is better as I am always down in that area.
• Crystal (9/5): Great place to stay - Location is beautiful and serene. The owners are attentive and kind and the cabin was so cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely too! It's easy driving distance to Powell River and very close to Lund which has a delicious bakery. Would definitely stay again

• Sylvia (6/5): - The cottage is original, clean and well equipped. The host stocked the fridge with coffee cream which I thought was very kind. The restaurant was only open for dinner but a great, cozy spot with great service. The hosts are on site and responsive to inquiries. A few things are important to mention that I didn't see in the description. This cottage is quite rustic and doesn't have any windows that can be opened for airflow. The host advised to leave the entrance door open at night but we did not feel comfortable doing so. Secondly, the bedroom in the loft is accessed through a ladder. I wouldn't call it stairs as it is very steep. I don't have mobility issues but I was really afraid to fall down if I needed to use the bathroom at night. Definitely not suitable for children or someone with mobility issues. The pull out couch in the living room is quite uncomfortable so we 3 slept in the king size bed. Last, not a big deal but the toilet is a compost toilet and doesn't flush. Outdoors, a marina is close with a bit of boat traffic and the beach not really inviting to swim but there are many beaches in th area

• Maria (7/5): - We loved the space. The cabin was made with love. The location is great! Very quiet neighborhood. The internet was very spotty but it was great to be unplugged. The toilet is self-composting, which is good, but we weren't prepared for it. I must've missed it on the listing. The toiletries wasnt topped up when we got there, but the hosts were very quick to replenish it.

• Michelle (5/5): - Comfortable beds. Nice view. Not clean inside, portable potty type toilet that filled up ...it was dirty too on arrival. Grounds looked unkempt not a true representation of the images online. Costly for what it is. Restaurant was average, again dirty stained seats, lacks cleanliness in general. Took over an hour to be served our food, hard when you have kids with you. Warm beer, slow service.
• Lisa (9/5): Cute Family Cabin - Cutest cabin - well layed out. Accommodated our family of 5 well. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the oceans view. The host Shannagh was very accommodating. This place is very out of the way of any city/town conviences . 8 minutes to Lund. And about 30 minutes to powell river. This of course is not a negative if that is what you are going for, away from city life. We had our 3 kids in tow and this made things a little more difficult to go adventuring. I would have loved to have had a more convenient kitchen-fridge/stove to be able to cook and store items at the cabin. We had to drive to lund or powell river for all meals. They have an outdoor kitchen for use including a BBQ and bigger fridge. This is a communal kitchen for all 3 cabins to use. We did use this one night for a meal and that worked out well. Hate to say anything negative because over all, this was a great place to stay. Having a kitchen/bigger fridge would have helped out alot.

• Belinda (8/5): Unique wooden property with lovely views out over the sea - This is a unique property and it was warm and cosy with very comfortable beds with a lovely view out over the sea. The owners had thought about pretty much everything even though there was not a huge amount of space. The owner was very helpful with advice about where to visit and things to do. The owner has a restaurant onsite which we visited and it was nice. The stairs to the first floor double bedroom are very steep so would not be suitable for young children or anyone with mobility issues. The front door didn’t lock from the outside or inside, the owner told us not to worry about it as it was a safe area. However we were promised that he would fix it and he didn’t during our 3 night stay there.

• Ross (10/5): Fabulous stay at Shannaghs Sweet Escape - We had a wonderous and magical stay at Shannaghs Sweet escape, such a beautiful location in a cosy wooden cabin that suited the 4 of us and we were so well looked after by our hosts Scott and Shannagh who really made us feel really welcome 🙏. The cabin is next to the Laughing oyster restaurant run by Scott and Shannagh which was an extra surprise to have a fantastic place to eat on site as well. The views were beautiful surrounded by mountains down to okenover harbour and plenty of opportunities for hiking and canoeing in the area. It is a truly hidden gem! Thank you so much to our fabulous hosts.🫠if you are looking for a peaceful beautiful getaway this is for you.
