Guest Reviews
- Cintia (10/5): Maravilhosa - Tinha bastante espaço
- Lucy (8/5): Lovely location, host was great to communicate with, would stay again. London stays always carry ear plugs if you are a - Lovely location, the village was lovely and the bakery is great and the pub . Next to the commons too for nice run/walk etc, close to public transport. Spacey as far as one beds going London. Bedroom was noisy, single glazing I think but I new it was on a high street and was prepared with ear plugs, staying on a high street in London a little noise is expected, but it’s not bars/clubs just street noise and one pub. I assume from Thursday it could get a bit noisier though. Some shower gel etc is always good for people staying I think but again I was prepared as I know how it often is, I recently stayed somewhere that had packs of earplugs on the side too, might be worth buying some for guests.
- kate (1/5): Disappointing, door handle broken off bedroom door. Foil on window. We will not be rebooking. - Fantastic location The wrong key was in the lock box. We had to wait 2 hours for the right key to be delivered to us. A man working outside the property said that was happening all the time.
- Caroline (7/5): - Location lovely above a bakery in which we breakfasted. Nice big TV, comfortable bed. Attractive apartment with interesting street view and big leafy tree by window. Apartment manager seemed contactable and left us more sheets. The apartment was boiling hot with the heat on full blast when we arrived late at night during warm weather. Only one fan when two needed. Not all the windows opened and it was a very high up building to open windows re child safety. No cool bed linen. The apartment manager tried to get us another fan the next day but did not succeed. We did mange to improvise to cool down the apartment. Also the sofa bed was not comfy and although the apartment appeared clean, inside the drawers in the bedroom were not so we just left our clothes in our bags. There wasn't much in the way of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery but as we were only having a short stay and not doing much cooking that didn't bother us. Some people might find the amount of stairs needed to reach the apartment problematic.

- Sally (5/5): Fantastic location, but has its shortcomings - The apartment was spacious and the location was excellent. The heating was efficient and worked well. The shower heated up quickly and was powerful. Tea and coffee was provided. Three out of the four window blinds were broken and the remaining one was just about operable with care. This made the flat very gloomy. On a more serious note, the bedroom door handle (on the inside) was missing which poses a significant safety issue if the door had been shut (anyone inside would be trapped in the bedroom).
The extractor fan in the bathroom had not been cleaned for a long time and was noisy.
There was no microwave which was inconvenient.
Some re-decoration is required to the hallway and arch.
- Joanne (7/5): If you spent a little on this property it would lovely . A lot of stairs in property . - Location good More large towels
Wi fi code
New shower curtain
New toilet seat
No cork screw
Windows that could open
- Claire (8/5): Fabulous location and lots of nice touches for a really comfortable stay. - Location was brilliant - lovely high street; vibrant, but not too noisy and lots of artisan places for food and co-op in easy distance. The owner kept in touch well.
Nice touches in the kitchen eg; hot drink selection & treats, warm room, comfortable sofa & bed and good hot shower. Bit of old food found on floor.
The keys were in the other lockbox to the one described, but easy to figure this out...
- Fenly (9/5): - Central and was clean
- Howard Crump (5/5): best out of 3 but too expensive - I am a superhost for Airbnb and my place it quite luxurious and i see that I charge far too little in comparison. it was ok but quite basic an old fashioned bathroom suite and it felt sparce. The Internet wouldn't work, It was back breaking trying to carry a heavy suitcase up 4 flights of stairs. It was just the price was very expensive but i had no choice after being extremely let down by booking.com. i was sent to a derelict apartment that was a crack den with a vagrant screaming f...off away from here or ill stab you. the second place was inhabitable with no keys to gain entrance. it took me 8 hours until in was able to check into this property being left in the rain and on the phone for 2.5 hours most of that was being placed on hold very infuriating especially with that horrendous AI woman taking about 15 to 20 mins to get hold of a human. so my 2 day stay where I was supposed to meet up with friends I hadn't seen for years was totally ruined. stairs bathroom bit sparce
- Anton (10/5): Really good - Location

- gibson_logic (6/5): Could have been good, let down by poor organisation and communication. - One of the better value properties in the area of London. This is what attracted us initially, but also the apartment appeared to be roomy and practical enough to accommodate the three of us. The apartment was not ready for us on arrival as requested. We arrived, in a hurry to use the properties facilities to shower, change and head out for the evening. Unfortunately, the property was still being cleaned and we were asked to come back in an hour. We obliged, then came back and then we could not get in at all. The key was not left in the box, contacting the owner was difficult. We were greatly relived when after a further half hour of waiting around outside, of which the other apartment customer arrived and waited too, the cleaner then decided to come let us in. It was a mess around. I have since tried to contact the owner frankly for the disappointing experience but with no response. Also strangely the shower has a window right next to the hallway so privacy is affected.
- Thomas (1/5): Not great. I’ve requested a refund from Booking.com given the issues with the flat and the fact that our first booking w - The location was fine, although we had booked to stay at another Booking.com flat next to Clapham Central tube station, but when we turned up, we could not get in and the stay was cancelled at the last minute. This was one was less convenient for us. It didn’t smell good - we assume because of the bakery downstairs. The TV also did not work.
- Pamela (7/5): Loved flat, loved location, a couple off things to fix / add would make it superb - Fab Location, light and airy, clean, well stocked with everything need, kind leaving water and T bags. Good heating and shower pressure. Tv good and coffee machine nice touch. Crockery etc all very nice. Lovely street and bakery and pub downstair Top Window pane missing / faulty so noisy in bedroom in night with cleaning street, bedroom handle missing on inside so locked myself in. Mattress quite firm so didn’t suit my back. Hubby slept fine. Would have loved shampoo, conditioner and shower wash.
- Mamen (8/5): - Situación y los detalles de dueño Muchas escaleras para acceder vivienda

- Sonja (6/5): Great location in London, but fairly poorly equipped and noisy overall - The pros : Great host communication although we did not meet in person. The key was easily accessible and instructions were straightforward. Location was excellent for us in terms of where in the city we wanted to be, close (15min walk) to tube station and busses. Groceries and restaurants were very close by and with extended hours, fulfilled all our needs easily.
Great to have a washing machine on site. Great to have a good stand-up shower too.
The flat is very cute and has a nice layout and feel. The big tree by the window gives a sense of privacy and greenery. The cons : not being so much into partying anymore, we were surprised that there was a pub downstairs with long hours and that the crowd was vigorous 3 of the 5 nights we were at the flat. There was tremendous noise from the street/pub and with the need to have the windows open due to the heat, inescapable.
The flat is relatively poorly equipped for 4 people - too few spoons, forks, towels etc and an incomplete set of pots, dishes and bowls etc and few supplies for staying more than a couple of days.
The mattress in the master bedroom was very firm and uncomfortable. The kids slept on the converted couch, which by their accounts was comfortable.
The flat was not super clean and a few things weren't working well - kitchen sink not draining, towel hanger and soap dispenser broken in the bathroom, wobbly chairs etc. Wonderful to have a washing machine for clothes but there was nowhere to hang the washed clothes to dry.
We still enjoyed our 5 days in London as there is so much to see, but it would have been a much better visit for a comfortable, more quiet night's rest for sure.
- Fiona (5/5): Disappointing - Good location close to family but above a pub and bakery so noisy until late and from early Basic, not very clean.
Staff not welcoming and u able to access until 20 minutes after agreed time
- Scully (9/5): Great apartment in a lovely location. Excellent communication. - Great location. Good size apartment. Missing a few simple things. Only 1 fork. No microwave oven. Fortunately we were eating out most of the time.
- Davina (8/5): Great stay in a cosy, clean apartment in a fab location. - Great property for my needs staying on my own to be near family. Clean and comfortable. The bathroom would benefit from a refurbishment. I would prefer a walk in shower.
- Robin (9/5): Superb - Delightful location in a friendly neighbourhood. Stairs!
- Alison (9/5): Fantastic location above a beautiful bakery. Had everything we needed and we found it comfortable. - Excellent location. Lovely shower. Had everything we needed. Host accommodating to our needs. Sweet little apartment and functional.
- Louise (10/5): Fab stay, would book again. - Great location, shops surrounding, also less than a 10 minute walk to nightlife spots. Quick & friendly communication with the property owner. Towels are provided which was very appreciated. I would definitely recommend. Nothing
- Mrs (8/5): Very good -
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carole (5/5): Not a good experience! - The area We were not able to access this apartment on our first night as the lockbox was broken and the owner didn't answer calls or emails. We had to book and pay for a local hotel instead & have not been properly reimbursed. We finally got let in by a cleaner the next morning. Our sleep was also disturbed due to overnight deliveries to the café below.
- Allan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (9/5): Fantastic Location - The location was excellent and so close to transport links. The apartment was lovely and very clean
