Guest Reviews
- Clarys (8/5): Bon séjour dans l'ensemble. - Très bien placé car 10 minutes à pied du métro. Appartement lumineux. Réparer la cuvette des toilettes qui était cassée. Il faisait trop chaud et pas mal bruyant.
- Jason (8/5): A good value, well provisioned place to stay in central London - Great location, clean and had everything required for a short stay in London. While other reviews had mentioned noise I didn’t think this was an issue at all, it’s a central London apartment so that’s somewhat to be expected (and I’ve had a lot worse). The WiFi/internet is absolutely terrible to the point where it may as well not be there. I was getting 3.5MB/s download, 0.3 upload which makes it impractical for anything except checking the odd email.
It’s a bit tired in places and could do with a bit of maintenance eg the shower drips constantly.

- Martyn (8/5): Nice compact apartment. - Location is fine.
- Frigols Olmos (10/5): -
- John (9/5): Great accommodation for my needs. - The property was perfect for my trip. I was there for work this time, but wouldn’t hesitate to book for a short trip also. Well maintained and great location. It was very close to the railway but it didn’t bother me.
- Tony Gromer (5/5): - Location was the only bonus Shower was not real clean, bottom corner of fix glass both sides, mould on bottom
Linen cupboard with washing machine. First time open and the clothes dry racking fell out and the detergents all over the floor.
Bed to tight in room and small
Door handle on kitchen door kept falling off.
- matthew (9/5): Loved our stay overall. The property was very comfy and in a great location. - Location and facilities were great and hassle free access via the lifts. Kitchen was lovely, the sofa was comfy and the wooden floor was nice too. Local shops were handy to buy food on our way back from being out. The owner was always on hand via message, to answer any queries we had. Property was very warm. Luckily we opened the large windows and a nice breeze came in. 2 fans provided cool air for sleeping. Bedroom and bathroom were very small, but we soon got used to it.
- Julia (2/5): So bad and host was incredibly rude and does not worry about the safety of their customers. - Good location The shower head was absolutely disgusting, with built up mildew to the point where most of the holes were filled up with something hard. The property promised an 11am luggage drop off and 3pm check in. However, upon arrival, previous guests were still there, so luggages could not be trusted to be left alone there. Cleaner only finished up at around 4pm, thus check in at 3pm was also a lie. Although in a “central” location, the nearest train station was at least a 15min walk away with most attractions being quite far. When taking into account the price of each night, a place a bit further out near a train station made more sense to book.
The most concerning aspect was the random last minute “spot inspection” imposed on us. This was never in their policies or communicated weeks in advance. When asked for evidence according to booking.com’s rules, it could not be provided, leading us to believe it was an invasion of space and privacy on us to monitor our stay.
Furthermore, despite the “no curfew”, as stated in the description, there was the 9:30pm curfew for the only gate out of the 3 that we were told to enter. The host did not give the code to the other gates, leaving us stranded at 12am. Once we communicated about this to the host, we were blamed for not “calling” despite them being overseas and only answering our texts at 3am. An apology was never given. Overall, horrible experience to our 2/4 days in London, forcing us to book a last minute accomodation to ensure our safety and privacy.

- Tony (7/5): Good - The apartment is in a great central location with all the transport connections you could want and walking distance to many attractions.
There is a good washer, dishwasher and all the other appliances you would expect.
The lounge is a good size which is good as the bedroom is very, very small. We left our bags in the lounge as there is no room in the bedroom.
The bathroom is good, small but sufficient. The proximity of the railway lines. We were there during a heatwave so had to leave the bedroom anx lounge 8windows open, ear bugs needed to be worn every night.
- Khalida (8/5): Great place for 1 person to work or relax for a short time. - Location was great, literally 2 minutes walk from Tower Bridge and there are lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby on Bermondsey Street. The bed was super comfortable, it was like melting into a pile of massive marshmallows!! The WiFi was very bad. Even though I checked with the host beforehand as I was working from the apartment too, I was assured there was a system reboot so the WiFi works well but I had to connect my phone mobile data for the whole day while working from the apartment, which was not ideal at all!
- Claudia (9/5): Recommended 100% - Very comfortable. The apartment is fully equipped. Bed is super comfortable. Mandy explained everything by message before we arrived like codes, heating etc and everything was clear. Noise etc didn’t bother us at all like i read in other reviews and i am a very sensitive sleeper. Also the light in the bedroom was not a problem as there is an extra curtain now. Would stay here for sure again, without a doubt. Everything was close to perfect! A few small details that could be updated in the bathroom.
- Filippos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gail (10/5): Fabulous location and the apartment was exceptional. - The location was great. The amenities were excellent. A bit noisy on a main road but you got used to it.
- Marston (9/5): Small but well equipped and comfortable apartment in a great location - A small but well equipped and comfortable apartment in a great location, within a few minutes walk of Tower Bridge and London Bridge, and so in easy reach of trains and the Tube, as well as the Thames and many sights. Also our host Mandy was excellent with her communication and was very helpful. First, just a couple of small things: traffic noise from Tower Bridge Rd - which was lessened by the bedroom being at the back of the apartment- but also some outside light coming into the bedroom (through blinds that were not easy to close fully). Problems fixed with ear-plugs and eye-masks. But the worst thing was the very poor communication from booking dot com, when a potential issue arose about our being able to move on on day 1. Just 24 hours before we were to move in, they sent us a mysterious message hinting there was a problem and offering to pay us some money (half of what we had already paid for this apartment) to make an alternative booking, but the message was unclear and important details were missing. So we replied, twice, asking for clarification, and were promised a response within 24 hours. Over 10 days later, we still haven't received a response! Very shoddy and unprofessional behaviour by booking dot com. In contrast, our host Mandy's communications were outstanding. She told us about the issue (which was beyond her control), kept in touch about its resolution, and we were able to move in at the time we expected.
- Rangi (8/5): Very good - There was not breakfast, not that I was expecting anything. The apartment was well equipped. The location was great although no tube station close by however excellent bus service at street. The space in bedroom was tight, no where to put bag and awkward moving between bedroom and bathroom. Things are a bit tired in the kitchen, but otherwise all things in place and going well.
- Douglas (8/5): Recommend here for anyone to stay in a safe sound accommodation - Clean, well priced, great London locations in walking distance Probably a queen bed but the double would suit most couples
- Victor (6/5): Pleasant - Central location Train noise and train line visual from lounge room given close proximity to London Bridge station.
- Vicki (8/5): Great week in London - Great location in a nice area with good pubs/restaurants close by. Close to tube and bus. Very responsive host who also gave good tips for travelling from the airport. All communication with Mandy was prompt. Apartment very hot with no AC but easily fixed by opening windows.
- Denise (9/5): Superb - Very good location with a nice view. The bus stop is directly on the road and the tube ist within 10 minuts of walking. Parking costs 30£ not 10£..
- Klaus (8/5): Very good - Perfect location, small but cozy apartment.
It could easily be a 10 if a couple of issues were to be addressed. The shower and kitchen could do with a makeover but everything was clean and usable. The door handles were a loose and instructions on how to operate the heater would be helpful (we quickly figured it out ourselves, bit other guests might need guidance).
But apart from those minor issues an excellent experience! Definite recommendation!
- Wyn (9/5): Great location and value for money. - Location and price were excellent.
Rrally well laid out apartment, perfect for a few days in London. Easy to find and check in. Was perfectly fine.
- Christopher (7/5): I enjoyed my stay, flat is nice but needs a little TLC to make it ideal. - It was warm, clean, good location, relatively quiet, lots of hot water, good value. Very small bedroom, no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries, the electric hob is useless, kitchen sink plug leaked so water drained away while washing up.
- Sarah (9/5): Absolutely brilliant location for both access to the tube, London centre and some cracking bars and restaurants. Apartme - Location was fantastic. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen facilities were great. Only negatives I have and these are probably down to quite personal preferences…Struggled a little with heating control as there were no instructions so we were often a but warm. Found it too light in the bedroom overnight with just blinds, as it looks over internal aspect which is lit all night.
Neither would stop us recommending or staying again (I’ll just bring a sleep mask!!!)
- Philip (9/5): Superb - Location was perfect for our New Year's stay.
The apartment was very well stocked & very comfortable.
Mandy was excellent & great communications. Nothing.
- Innes (9/5): Was a great base for us while we're in London, so close to so many of the sights! - Location was terrific and Mandy was extremely helpful with our specific needs with the apartment. She really went beyond to help us and we were very appreciative of it. The property itself is in a terrific spot and is more than adequate and comfortable for a couple travelling.
- Silvia (6/5): Fair enough - Location is great, we have been coming to this area for years and we love it. The building is nice and the appartment is comfortable as it has all the needed items for a work stay. the internet connection was awful and we could not finish our work. The appartment could have been cleaner, the coffee maker and the blinders were covered with a lot of dust. There were the absolute minimum things you would need, nothing to add extra comfort on the beds, the kitchen or the bathroom, that we have found in other appartments in the same area before.
- Lyndy (10/5): Excellent Apartment and Location - Location Excellent with bus outside and brief walk to London Bridge Station. Well lite road at night.
Apartment modern, comfortable and kitchen well appointed. Light and airy and pleasant out look.
Under floor heating throughout made the place very cosy with the cooler weather starting.
Good fans in living and bedroom for summer.
Supermarket down the road, plenty cafes, restaurants and shops in road and vicinity.
Owner very approachable.
Apartment has lift and own entrance.
Highly Recommend and I would return. Nothing Really
- Andy (10/5): Perfect location to get anywhere in London. Close to great food, and a nice light filled space with a very functional ki - Brilliant location. A very functional kitchen, a great place to stay for just over a week.
- Milly (9/5): Superb - Beautiful little apartment, perfect for a stay. I definitely would book again. N/A
- Colin (8/5): A great apartment that was ideal for our 8 days visit to London. Totally recommend staying here. - A very central location 5 minutes walk from Tower Bridge and 10 minutes walk to Tower Bridge station. Right on Tower Bridge Road so lots of buses virtually at the front door. Two supermarkets within that same 5-10 minute walk as well.
Apartment was comfortable and plenty of space for two.
We had an issue with the toilet not flushing but contacted Mandy and even though it was a Sunday she arranged for a plumber and all was fixed within about 3 hours. The down side of being so central was that it was noisy. However at night we could close a door between the front living area and the bedroom at the back and that cut out a lot of the noise. The apartment is showing signs of wear and tear in places and just needs a bit of maintenance to bring up to its best.
