Maggie (8/5): A peaceful stay with a very responsive host—ideal for relaxing, though a workspace would benefit business travellers. - Host was extremely responsive and helpful. The place was quiet & peaceful. I was there on a work trip and was not able to have connectivity or desk to work on when needed.
JOHN (10/5): Why stay in town when u can experience this - Magnificent location overlooking the river and a short drive into Narrabri . Wonderful verandah to enjoy meals and a drink. Welcoming hosts. Dark sky provides an exceptional sky view. Pepper the emu and Darcy the dog added to the ambience Nothing except it would have been good to swim in front

A truly serene couple of days Sharing with others - it’s always a risk and our counterparts were rude

Jo (9/5): - We had a lovelyl 4 night stay at the Riverside Farm retreat. We chose this type of accomodation approx 13km outside of Narrabri for its peaceful, relaxing surroundings. It was a pleasure to come back to after our bush walking trails in Mount Kaputar. The owners were on a road trip themselves and the caretakers Les and Glenda met us upon arrival and waived us goodbye upon departure. We would have a chat to Les whenever we saw him about on his daily chores as caretaker. The 3 bedroom accomodation with shared facilities was a fairly good set up and we ended up having the place to ourselves(2 family couples)to move around freely and enjoy both the indoor section of the accomodation and the outside enormous under cover deck area.. However be mindful of pulling down the bistro blinds before turning on any outdoor light, otherwise you will be swamped with tiny insects!!! The sunsets were very pretty and colourful. We bought our provisions from a supermarket in Narrabri and cooked hearty meals every evening. We didnot use the bbq even though the plate looked good but the outside housing was rusty. Showers were hot and stream was very good. Towels were on the crispy side but served their purpose. Overall, our stay in the 3 bedroom accomodation was a wonderful and relaxing one. The cookware and baking dishes desperately need to be replaced.

Janet (9/5): Riverside Farm Retreat is a lovely place to stay, an ideal location for exploring Narrabri and area. - Beautiful location along the Namoi River. We loved the night sky, and the sunrise/sunsets along the river. The bed was warm, cosy and comfortable. We loved the fire on a cold Winter's night. Great location to explore Mt Kaputar National Park and the surrounding area. It was only a quick trip into Narrabri to purchase supplies. The temporary manager Les was very helpful with all our questions and queries. The oven and cooking facilities were dated.

They enjoyed a chat but also gave personal space when we needed it so that was appreciated. There was nothing that I could fault about the stay at The Riverside except I wished it was longer that the small amount of time spent here.
