• Thomas (8/5): Super Lage an einem einsamen Strand - Frühstück wurde auf Wunsch persönlich vom Inhaber mit Leidenschaft zubereitet. Im Bad die beste Dusche mit Wasserkraft , guter Strahl . Anlage schön angelegt, Brüllaffen gut zu hören, viel Information erhalten über das Leben in Costa Rica. Sauberkeit in der Gemeinschaftsküche könnte besser sein

• Michael (10/5): Ich kann die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen. - Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Strand nahe der Stadt Cahuita und wir wurden von Silvio sehr herzlich empfangen. Silvio spricht deutsch und hat uns zahlreiche Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben. Klar empfehlen kann ich sein Frühstück (Kaffee, Smoothie, frisches Obst und Omelette), sowie den lecker zubereiteten Burger gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Badezimmer geräumig. Auch gibt’s einen kleinen Pool. Wer es ruhig haben und Tiere beobachten möchte, kommt hier auf seinen Geschmack. In ca. 10 Minuten kommt man zum Nationalpark Cahuita in dem man Tiere u.a. Affen, Waschbären, Schlangen, Faultiere sehen kann. Nichts!

• Roland (10/5): Wir haben uns im Casa Carribean Coconut sehr wohl gefühlt und möchten Silvio und die Casa Coconut wenn immer möglich wie - Die ganze Casa Caribbean Coconut-Anlage ist schön gestaltet und der Pool ist sauber und originell. Jeder Bungalow hat seine Privatsphäre. Ausserdem kann man in separaten Bereich selber kochen (mit viel Platz). Der Gastgeber Silvio kocht auf Anfrage ein feines Abendessen. Unser Bungalow war schön, modern und zweckmässig eingerichtet mit prächtiger Dusche. In 2 Minuten ist man zu Fuss an einem schönen, grossen Strand. Silvio ist ein hervorragender Gastgeber. —-

• Shavon (10/5): - Sylvio was truly the best host I’ve ever had. His energy is so pure and positive — you can feel it the moment you arrive. He catered to all of my needs and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. The pool was amazing, the room was lovely, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It’s located right across the street from the beach, which made everything even better. He made me my own homemade pizza, crafted drinks for us, and we took shots together — such a fun and welcoming experience! We had great conversations that lasted for hours — no exaggeration. The hospitality was unmatched. There was no strict timetable, just a relaxed, warm, and genuinely welcoming atmosphere. He even helped me extend my stay for another two nights, which I truly appreciated. Hands down, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I would absolutely stay again!
• T H G (5/5): Not awful, but not what we expected. We were relieved to move on. - Location would have been great if amenities were as advertised. Let's get some things straight. The restaurant was highly rated..... there is no restaurant any more. The closest restaurant was great, but was often closed. There was no bar or even a stocked fridge. you either bring drinks yourself, or do without. That would be fine, but the place was advertised as having a restaurant and bar. It has neither. Whoever photographed the rooms and pool is a genius. The rooms are old and the pool is a miniature. Some of the cabinets are broken with doors falling off. Our toilet seat wasn't even fastened to the toilet. The owner seems like a nice guy who is at the end of his rope. When he is there he is running around aimlessly trying to get things to work, but he's not often there (in our limited experience).

Er ist wirklich ein toller Gastgeber und hat uns in den Tagen sowohl beim Frühstücken als auch bei der Zubereitung seiner Pizza von seinen Kochkünsten überzeugt! Die Unterkunft ist eine kleine Oase zum Wohlfühlen! -

• Gail (10/5): A very special jungle experience. - This is a small complex, with about ten rooms clustered around a small, artistic pool. It is on a dirt road beside the ocean, surrounded by jungle. You can cross the street and you are at a beach, which is usually deserted. The high light for me was when about 20 howler monkeys, perched in trees just outside of our cabin, and screamed. There were large and small monkeys in the group, but late evening they all left except for three midsize monkeys, which we assumed were juveniles. Those three spent the night in the tree by themselves, but from 5 o’clock in the morning for about an hour, those three yelled and you could hear monkeys in the distance responding to them. Then a couple of big monkeys came and claimed them and they went off into the jungle. There were parrots, an acouti, and all kinds of other birds, but the howler’s were the high point for me. When we were there, there was no breakfast available. The kitchen was open for our use, and we could’ve made our own breakfast, but we didn’t. It’s about a mile away from town, and people walk it or bike it. We had a car and we drove to get breakfast.

• Alexis (10/5): Excelente lugar, lo recomiendo - El lugar es muy bonito, metido entre la selva, el anfitrión super amable y muy atento. Nos encantó, una piscina muy bonita y la relación calidad precio para los precios que hay en la zona actualmente, super bien.

• Gerrit (9/5): Insgesamt sehr schöne Anlage - Schöne Lage, nicht weit vom eigenen Strand und auch eine sehr schöne Anlage mit einem sehr liebevoll gestalteten Pool und Entspannungsbereich. Es gibt eine eigene Hängematte und Schaukelstühle auf der Veranda. Herzlicher Empfang durch den Gastgeber. Der Strand ist wunderschön und ruhig und auf dem kurzen Weg dahin kann man sogar einige Tiere beobachten, ohne dass man zum Beispiel in den Nationalpark gehen muss. Wir haben Brüll Affen gehört und Faultiere gesehen. Leider gab es als wir da waren kein Restaurant, d.h. Frühstück und Abendessen musste man sich selbst besorgen, was für uns aber in Ordnung war. Man kann eine Gemeinschaftsküche nutzen allerdings könnte die auch noch einmal eine ausführliche Grundreinigung vertragen. Das Zimmer wird nicht jeden Tag wie in manchen Hotels üblich, kurz gereinigt (zb Müll entsorgt), sondern passiert auf Nachfrage. Das finde ich grundsätzlich in Ordnung, dann wäre es aber besser, das von Anfang an klarzumachen. Allerdings als wir nachgefragt haben, wurde das auch sofort angeboten. Also in Ordnung.

• Deysha (10/5): Loved Silvio! - Silvio, the host was friendly and accommodating. He provided the information necessary for us to have a good stay and recommendations for activities and food near by. The road leading up to the property is not bad but not great. Recent rains made it muddy. Not the hosts fault anyways.

Ce qu'il n'y a pas partout :-) Sylvio, le proprio est toujours disponible. L'hôtel est très bien situé. En face de l'hôtel à 2 minutes de marche, c'est la plage! Restaurants, supermercado à Cahuita à 10 minutes en auto. Restaurant à 5 minutes de marche également.

• Milena (9/5): - Silvio hat uns sehr überschwänglich begrüßt und uns gleich mit vielen nützlichen Informationen versorgt. Toll fanden wir dass er uns auch über private Kontakte eine Schnorcheltour organisierte oder auch die Möglichkeit zur Delfinbeobachtungen. Danke Silvio auch für die sehr guten Restaurantempfehlungen. Die Anlage ist schön bepflanzt und es hingen Bananen zum selber pflücken am Eingang. Man kann sein Auto auf einem zur Anlage zugehörigen Parkplatz parken und in 2 min ist man direkt an einem tollen Strand. Die Zimmer waren sauber und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Toll waren auch die Hängematte vor jedem Zimmer und dass man durch die Bepflanzung Privatsphäre hatte. Silvio ist ein tiefenentspannter Gastgeber der einem jederzeit gerne hilft. Die Kaffeemaschinen im Zimmer haben mehrere Leben gerettet! :D War alles super

• Lars (10/5): Liebevolle Anlage in Cahuita - Die Tage im Casa Caribbean Coconut waren ein Highlight auf unserer Tour in Costa Rica. Ob entspannt in der kleinen Anlage, praktisch allein am Strand oder bei Entdeckungstouren in unmittelbarer Umgebung: einfach toll. Aber auch die anderen Ziele der Umgebung sind gut erreichbar. Sylvio hatte immer Tipps parat, vor allem, wo es das beste Brot gibt :) Wir hatten auch das Glück, Faultiere in der Nähe der Unterkunft zu sehen.

• Melissa (10/5): Cozy, clean and enjoyable stay with a super host! - This place is amazing. Nice swimming pool with cool drawings on the bottom. The laid-back vibe, helpful attitude and excellent pizza-making skills from Sylvio, the host are a big bonus! The garden has so many different plants and a cozy vibe. Many birds around, monkeys. We were there when the restaurants was being redecorated, so we could only eat there two nights, but it was the best pizza I ever had. Luckily there we other nice restaurants nearby.
• Kerstin (10/5): Rundum Wohlfühlpaket - Wir haben eine Unterkunft etwas abseits des Ortes gesucht und hier gefunden. Entfernung zum Ort auch fußläufig machbar, allerdings sollte man mind. 30 min Fußmarsch einplanen. Anlage ist sehr privat und von den anderen Gästen bekommt man nicht viel mit. Über die kleine Straße, auf der kaum Autos unterwegs sind kommt man durch ein kleines Wäldchen ca. 80m Weg direkt zum Strand, den man für sich alleine hat. Entspannung pur. Der Pool ist nicht riesig, aber dafür immer mir sauberen Wasser gefüllt und die Pooldusche ist etwas besonderes. Alles ist schön eingewachsen und Silvio ist ein super Gastgeber. Egal was es ist oder was du brauchst, er hilft dir weiter. Alles unkompliziert. Als kleine Empfehlung, 150 m von der Unterkunft entfernt ist das Restaurant Banana. Klein, gemütlich mit sehr leckerem Essen. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich einfach nur wohl. Nichts was störend war. Parken auf dem Grundstück kann unter Umständen etwas eng werden, besonders dann wenn andere mehr als eine Parklücke in Anspruch nehmen. Wir hatten das Auto auch mal draußen stehen. Ist auch nix passiert.

• Sylvia (8/5): Saubere Unterkunft mit Pool an einem sehr schönen Strand - Wir hatten eine Ferienwohnung mit zwei Schlafzimmern und zwei Bädern, dazwischen war der Wohnraum mit einer Küchenecke. Vor der Wohnung war eine bequeme Sitzgruppe mit Sofa. Alles war sauber und gepflegt. Der Besitzer und das Personal war jederzeit ansprechbar, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool war liebevoll gestaltet. Schade fanden wir, dass es abends keine Küche mehr gibt, deshalb hatten wir die Unterkunft eigentlich ausgewählt. Zum Glück gab es fußläufig ein sehr gutes Restaurant.

Ils ont tenté de proposer qqch mais pas bon et pas bcp de choix La chambre n’a pas été nettoyée en 4 jours!! Scandaleux La piscine est vieille, petite, pas très propre et ressemble plus à une grande baignoire.
• Vanessa (9/5): Singes et toucans au réveil - Endroit un peu isolé c'est que qui fait son charme, restaurant fermé quand nous y étions il ouvriras en décembre, mais les petits déjeuners peuvent être servis...il y en a un autre restaurant à 6 minutes à un pieds très bon... Proche de la plage et notre appartement était top deux chambres avec salle de bain et clim, avec cuisine et vue sur la piscine directe parfait pour se rafraîchir ! Merci Sylvio pour tes conseils ! Si vous êtes avec des jeunes enfants il faut aller en voiture à Cahuita ou louer des vélos...

Good to know that the restaurant is temporarily closed but will open again in a couple of months. This was no issue for us, as we enjoyed the communal kitchen very much!

• Hanák (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation is in a very quiet and pleasant area, but still close to everything. It’s easy to reach, and the ocean is just a short walk away. The room was very clean and well-equipped with everything I needed. The host was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Beach access right across road, 15 min drive to town, other restaurants nearer. Great bar just down road. Sylvio makes a fab pizza! Just to note, the restaurant/bar wasn't operational when we were there (breakfast provided on request) & need transport if not self-catering. Kitchen & one bathroom could do with a little updating.

Beach only steps away. Would suggest that you have transportation as it is a bit of walk to town. Car or bicycles.

The room could use an update, but it was clean and comfortable and the location is great, close to the beach and everything but still secluded and quiet. This was our last stop on our trip and it was great! Rooms are in need of a bit of an update but they're working on it!

• Anthony (9/5): Amazing, beautiful and tranquil stay- highly recommend - We loved this hidden gem, it’s a stunning spot right near a quiet beach, you can hear the wildlife around you and it is so peaceful and tranquil. Alberto is so friendly and happy to offer any assistance or guidance, his breakfast is also a must have, absolutely delicious!! The pool is lovely, bed extremely comfy, rooms are slightly dated but it didn’t affect our comfort and we would still return in a heartbeat. If there on a Friday would highly recommend the reggae bar down the road that has live music, dancing and an overall brilliant atmosphere-food here also looked great

We hiked and walked the beach and the National Park and night tour. Was very exciting. The food at the Casa Caribbean Coconut was all fresh prepared and cooked to perfection. We saw so many monkeys, iguanas, and all kind of birds right in the courtyard of the Casa Caribbean. Couldn’t recommend this wonderful place more. N/a

• Amy (8/5): Great location – support a family owned hotel - Alberto was an excellent host and we enjoyed our three days at the hotel. He created a short video for me that told me how to check in when he could not be there that was very sweet and he had great recommendations for local restaurants and tour providers in the area. We think it is important to support small businesses when traveling in Costa Rica. There was a small kitchen available to use with a microwave if you wanted to prepare a meal and there was a refrigerator in the room. There is also a restaurant on site for breakfast and we had fruit and Shashuska that was great. We also ate dinner there 2 nights and that was very welcome for us because it was raining and we didn’t want to go out. The pool was very clean and refreshing. we could hear lots of birds and howler monkeys that was a lot of fun. The beach is just across the street and completely deserted and a great place for walking in the surf. We particularly liked the location because we were close to the town of Cahuita and we walked there or it was a short drive. Our only issues with the room were that it was rather dark and that it was very loud when it rained

Everything about the place was amazing - the location, the owners, the room, and of course Coco the dog! Alberto the owner was beyond kind and hospitable, he made our stay so relaxing and special. The room was huge, gorgeous, and super clean. This hotel is the absolute best choice for anyone looking for a great, quiet location that is close to many beaches, towns, and things to do nearby. Safety is clearly prioritized by the owners, and we were so pleasantly surprised by every aspect of our stay here. We will absolutely be staying here again if we revisit Costa Rica!! The homemade breakfast was delicious, and the overall value for our money was absolutely exceptional. We are so lucky to have been able to stay at such a beautiful place!!

• Barry (10/5): Best Stay Ever in CR. - Ive visited CR many times since 1985 and this was my BEST STAY EVER.QUIET away from the crowds now in Cahuita but close . Staff is wonderful helpful and it is very clean. Highly recommend.wildlife every morning..monkeys parrots tucans iguanas lizzards..Saw no snakes. They have two dogs on patrol. Nothing.

From the moment I booked he was already helping where he could and sent useful information. During the stay I felt that they where very lovely and extremely helpful with everything. They do their best to make you feel comfortable (:. The hotel is very close to the beach which is great. To Cahuita centre / national park it takes ca. 30-45mins. to walk.
• Michel (8/5): Nice hotel with a good fibe. - The rooms are really nicely renovated and it's. Very cosy place with a nice garden. The hosts are very friendly and always available for a nice chat or some information about the area. The restaurant was open and the food was good and the prices were far. We didn't have warm water but thought that was a temporary problem. We thought it was an electric power stop so didn't complain about it but the second day it was the same. But like I said, probably temporary. The nice dog of one of the owners is walking around and is a little stubborn when you don't want him around. Would be nice if the owner kept him more in his side.
