Guest Reviews
- Balais (7/5): We had a good rest. - Location is great. We have privacy. Host gave proper directions on check in. Toilet and bath is located inside the parents’ room. Flooring towards the steps is not even and can be not safe.
- kerry (8/5): -
- Parie (9/5): Lovely cottage, nice area, quiet, reasonably priced. - Nice and handy. The cottage is very convenient. Clean The main bedroom mattress is a little too soft. The cottage needs a little spruce up to bring it up to date.
- Peter (9/5): It was comfortable and as expected. - We left early, no breakfast. All good.
- Nathan (10/5): -
- Priebe (9/5): Nice quiet spot and quite comfortable. Close to Burleigh. I’d definitely come again. Thanks for being great hosts. - Private and quiet. Nice touch having the eggs and honey! Close to Burleigh just a short Uber ride. Bed is really squeaky. Every time you even move it squeaks. Would have been good to have a bit bread for some toast given everything else was there.
- Louise (9/5): Excellent value - The cozy, comfortable vibe. The beds were made nicely and it was lovely to have all the little bits of food and produce for us to use. All for a great value! There wasn't really anything that we didn't like, possibly how the toilet and bathroom sits within the main bedroom. It wasn't an issue for us though.
- Nathan (10/5): Perfect little cottage - Really lovely little cottage with everything you could need. Area is quiet but super close to everything you could want.
- Nadine (9/5): Cute little cottage with everything you need. - The hosts left a collection of food that we were allowed to help ourselves to. The place was extremely quiet. Spacious little cottage with everything we needed. The main bed squeaked when you got in, out or rolled over.
- Jennifer (7/5): Good for families with young kids (under 6) - Homey vibes
- Lee (10/5): - Lovely hosts, very accommodating.
Quiet and peaceful area close to most attractions.
- Mimsey B (6/5): Pleasant and spacious living areas and conveniently located in a quiet area. - Spacious and fairly well equipped kitchen and living areas.
Quiet location, very handy to highway and not far from beach.
Great to have a laundry.
Odd but nice biscuits provided. Main bed was very uncomfortable, very soft and sinky with no support. Had to sleep on much better single bed in room with daughter.
Single beds in room very tight, no space to move at all
No pegs provided, found some left on line.
Place looks better in photos, bit rough around the edges, coffee machine leaks, cabinetry a bit banged up, oven overhead fan mesh looks disgusting and the light barely worked.
It is annoying to have bathroom only accessible through one bedroom.
- Smith (9/5): - it was very cute, everything nice and put together. very quiet and the neighbours not loud at all the floors, especially near the rugs needed a bit more of a clean
- Cath Priday (9/5): - Great place. Lovely people. Living room aircon awesome. Everything you need. No aircon in bedrooms and it was a hot night
- LI (9/5): - Lovely and Friendly Host, very cute and lovely little villa.Great experience! Second bedroom a bit narrow.Be more suitable for kids
- Andrew (10/5): Good -
- Tracey (10/5): So enjoyable and very relaxing area - Quiet and very tidy. Loved the space The parking shade was nearly on top of my car from the rain
- Laura (9/5): Fantastic location, cosy home from home - Stylish furnishings and very comfy beds. Great location with plenty of amenities around. Loved the extra touches such as the laundry room, and free honey and eggs from the bees and chickens on the property.
- Sukhmander Singh (10/5): Amazing stay and all the amenities required are provided. - The only thing would be that there is only one bathroom toilet.
- Madeleine (10/5): -
- Gayathri (10/5): Loved our stay !! - We loved our stay during our year end trip. The property was maintained cozy neat and clean. It’s accessible to all our locations. We enjoyed the little chickens roaming around our place. It has all the amenities we were looking for. Highly recommend this place for stay in Gold Coast.
- Peter (8/5): Amazing Hosts, Fresh Chicken Eggs Lovely quite place - The hosts are amazing, property is clean and they leave you fresh eggs, what else could you ask for, have cooking facilities. I had a car and its close to places in Gold Coast would defo stay again. One bathroom off the main bedroom is not a problem for families and kids. If you are staying with friends or you mother probably not the best option but perfectly fine.
- Larissa (10/5): Excellent place to stay - The hosts put christmas theme in for our overnight stay - the kids loved it. They loved the chickens and the bees and honey! Just all round great - wish we were staying another night! Smallest minor inconvenience having the bathroom attached to the main bedroom - but, can see & understand why it's like that
- Anne (10/5): it was very clean and comfortable and perfect for a stay without driving home late - We did not stay for breakfast as we were in a hurry to get back home, our daughter was working the next day and our main concern was to have somewhere to stay the night rather than driving back in the dark. Our only problem was the steep driveway which was only a problem for me as I had fallen recently and fractured a vertebra which made it difficult for me walking. I only had to walk up and down a few times, so it wasn't really too much
- BROWN (8/5): Overall condition quite good. - Location was great Needed a bit ofa refurbish. Cupboards a bit tired. Vanity basin water damaged. Uneven boards front deck.
- Samantha (8/5): - Very cosy . Although your information book about the cottage may need updating ...we would have loved a cpl of the girls eggs & we could not get Prime to connect up to the main TV plus it kept pixelating numerous times & actually turned black twice.
Other than that the Xmas themed beds & Xmas tree were a lovely touch.
- Xing chao (7/5): -
- Jay (10/5): -
- Melissa (10/5): Little Hidden Oasis! - Bee’s Cottage is a beautiful miniature home away from home. Loved the quiet location and everything we needed for our family stay.
The chickens and busy bee’s are a delight to see. Beautiful friendly family owners were delightful.
Definitely worth the stay and will be back!
- Christina (10/5): A touch of country in the city. - Lots of thoughtful touches, including samples from the girls resident in Cluckingham Palace and honey from the bees. Comfortable, clean, roomy and private - excellent! Nothing
- Judith (8/5): Lovely stay away from the hustle and bustle. - Great location if you have a car. Quiet street. The complimentary eggs were amazing and the honey was delicious. Nothing really.
- Charles (10/5): - 房东友善,家的感觉! 没有。
- Merodie (8/5): Good value for money in a quiet, restful setting. - The location was great - very pretty, quiet street. Hosts communicated well and were friendly without being invasive. The coffee pods, eggs, condiments, beach towels, etc were a lovely touch. Very good value for money. Having the washing machine and clothesline was great, kitchen had everything we needed in terms of appliances, cooking utensils etc. Beds are comfortable. The second bedroom with the single beds is very small - we couldn't close the door as the bed is in the way and there is nowhere to put any bags or suitcases. Bathroom access only via the main bedroom was also a little awkward. I think it would be fine for a family with children, not so much for 4 adults.
- Carly-Beth (9/5): Thank you for having us at your gorgeous property! - It was a lovely little property with attention to detail on the little things Travelling with a friend it wasn’t great to have the bathroom accessible via the main bedroom but if you were with family or your partner this wouldn’t be an issue…
- Candy (8/5): - The Chicken The bathroom off one of the bedrooms wasn't ideal. Place needs a little TLC, but good for one night stay.
- Rebecca (8/5): Added extras that made the stay more comfortable - Compact and comfortable and had everything needed The bed was a little noisy but hubby tightened the screws and problem solved-we didn’t want to trouble the owners/hosts with such a tedious problem
- Zabortseva (9/5): -
- Anita (9/5): Fantastic hidden treasure! - A fantastic stay. The cottage was very clean and comfy. Great value for money. Close to shops.
- agathe (10/5): -
- Lissa (7/5): -
- Dr Sanjay (10/5): Super nice stay at the Bee Cottage. - This is a truly wonderful cottage — very comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and filled with personal touches that made our stay special. The place was impeccably clean, the breakfast items were fresh and generous, and the little extras went far beyond our expectations. We especially loved the pure home-produced honey and the fresh eggs — such a delight!
The host was extremely kind and helpful, and every detail showed how much effort had been put into making guests feel comfortable. Parking was excellent and private, and the security was also top-notch. All amenities that a family could need were provided.
Overall, we rate this place a solid 10 out of 10. It’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We had a lovely stay and would happily return again — and we highly recommend it to others. Thank you to the host for making our experience so memorable. Nothing
- Ngahuia (10/5): -
- Jasper (7/5): Cheap accommodations for 4 - Check-in was easy, washer and dryer, private driveway/ parking. Aesthetically pleasing.
It's cheap and it's the only reason why I booked. Damn chickens right outside my window were making so much noise. Couldn't sleep longer if I wanted to.
The bed was too springy, and the bed sank in like I weigh a ton literally.
There is only 1 air conditioner in the living.
No fan in the second room, tho a standing fan is provided. Imagine in summer lololol.
There is only 1 toilet, which is crazy. That is in the master.
There are a lot of spiders and bugs on the walls and corners.
The ceiling fans in the living the master feel like its trying very hard to operate at max speed.
- Joe (9/5): Exactly what we needed for our overnight stay - Great value for long clean tidy and comfortable
- Nick (10/5): -
- Kylie (10/5): Wonderful lil cottage, everything you could need. Clean & tidy, snacks on arrival. Highly recommend - Cute lil snacks on arrival & had everything we needed. Main mattress could use upgrade.
- Abi (10/5): Great spot to stop wish we could have stayed longer. Really comfy with everything that you might need there - Super comfy with thoughtful touches, owner. Was helpful with local info and there to greet us
- Alexander (10/5): -
- June (10/5): We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful tranquil abode , it was absolutely perfect for a last minute getaway - The property was absolutely perfect and so private , it gave us time to wind down and just enjoy wash other company away from the busy lives we all lead in the community , We loved everything about the stay , due to some mobility issues with a couple of our group getting up the few stairs , other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our night at this beautiful tranquil cottage .
- Jeremy (9/5): - Great communication. Quiet and peaceful. Well set up and equiped. Very comfortable stay.
- Zoe (8/5): -
- Jason (10/5): - It is a gem in gold coast. Very recommend, value for money. If we will be back in gold coast we will be back to this place.
- Philip (8/5): Very good - Very helpful host with small gifts of home produce to enhance our stay. Comfortable beds and lounge. The laundry was extremely cramped. The steps up from the driveway are steep and have no handrail (which is the owner's next project).
- Karen (9/5): Realky fabulous gem of a stay - Really fabulous stay. Lovely hosts, great information, separate entrance, good parking. Fabulous facilities and lovely and generous extra touches and extras.
Really highly recommend. The only draw back is access to the bathroom is through one of the bedrooms- but that is clear in the information up front and a minor inconvenience
- Chrisinnz (8/5): perfect for what i needed, really nice and cosy set up - lovely, well appointed little cottage. mattress in master bedroom was not great
- Kathleen (8/5): Very good - Clean. Comfortable. Good location. Quiet. Bathroom in main bedroom only.
- Amanda (10/5): Lovely one night stay in Gold Coast - Easy to find, nicely decorated, quiet, well-stocked pantry, fresh eggs and honey!
- Tracey187 (10/5): Would stay again in a Heartbeat - Excellent location, perfect for our little family. The place was spotless, super comfortable and we really appreciated the welcome booklet with local tips. We ended up checking out a few of the recommended spots, which was such a nice touch.
The fresh eggs from their chickens were a delicious bonus! Everything we needed (and more) was provided. We were really happy with our stay and would absolutely come back again. Nothing, better than expected. Thank you!
- Posner (10/5): Cosy , lovely , definitely would stay here again! - Enjoyed the fresh beehive honey and the fresh chicken eggs .... a lovely touch. Very well stocked kitchen area with lots of extras.
The thought to the layout and decoration of the house worked nicely.
- Mari (9/5): Superb - We love the facilities including dryer, washing machine and coffee machine. Very much appreciated the fresh eggs and honey. We will definitely be back. Only one minor thing is wobbly tap in the kitchen.
- Troy (8/5): Good nights sleep with a ceiling fan - Once I found the property - which was hard to find in the dark from the road. The lock box was easy to find and open with the provided code. The Bedrooms had FANS which makes for a good nights sleep. The property was hard to find in the dark from the road - once found though it was easy to get to
- Eunice (8/5): Good to stay at the home of a fellow beekeeper - Great stuff provided for breakfast
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Cute little cottage with everything we needed.
- Taleah (9/5): Great location and a great stay! - Great value for money. The host were very helpful with getting us an earlier check in as we had a wedding to go to that afternoon. The single beds my Husband and I slept in were very comfortable with great pillows! Towels are provided which was perfect because we realised we didn’t pack any on our way down. The pantry was supplied with staple food if needed which is so thoughtful! The place has everything you need. The place only has one bathroom which you have to walk through a bedroom to get to. So if you aren’t staying in the main room you might have to sneak past people still asleep.
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional - relaxing, comfortable, easy to find. it rained 😆
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): Warm and inviting -
- Moujahid (9/5): Superb -
- Simpson (10/5): Exceptional - It was a very cosy cottage. Lovely stay. Peaceful. Loved the sky light. I could happily move in.. We didn't need for anything. Nothing really, it was comfortable, and easily accessed. No hassle, everything was well appointed.
- Pamela (5/5): Disappointed - Felt that it looks tired …. Laminate in the kitchen is worn and chipped.
Felt it requires a really serious clean
Fans / window frames / carpet.
I did take photos.
- Daniel (10/5): Unbelievable would do again - Lovely Property, one of the best properties we have stand in and the owners are lovely. Would highly recommend if staying in the Gold Coast area Nothing
- Tracey (8/5): Great 2 day getaway - Very close to where we had to be, great locaton All good, bed a little too soft for me but that is a personal preference
- Tanya (8/5): Quaint, Private, quiet, peaceful. Would definitely stay again. - Easy to find, with off street parking. Clean little unit, quiet residential area. Really comfy beds & everything contained in the unit, for the stay. Probably just needs another toilet/bathroom area, that isn’t in the main bedroom. For through the night toilet stops.
- S. (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Excellent.. - It was comfortable, comfortable beds. Neat and tidy and clean.
- Tony (10/5): excellent - Excellent provision of a welcome basket N/a
- Sue (9/5): A cute cottage in Miami with a homely feel - Great location for a swim meet at Miami pool, was available for a 1 night stay, accommodated 4 people, lovely decor, everything we needed. Nothing
- 1ight (9/5): Very good - Great amount of space, nice place to stay.
- Nadia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadia (9/5): Great stay for close friends or family. - The Location and the host was amazing! The appartment was great and clean. She was kind and left some honey, tea and brownies for us. The only bathroom was inside the ensuite, and since I was with a work colleague, it was a bit challenging for his privacy and mine.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (7/5): Good - Loved fresh eggs, honey and other food items left for us. Very cute property nicely furnished. Quiet at the end of cul de sac. Bed in main room uncomfortable mattress. Very small rooms.
- Angela (10/5): Very comfortable, homely and clean. - Very comfortable, homely and clean. Easy to find and locate the keys. Eggs, honey and cookies were a lovely gesture. Bed and couch were super comfy. Very enjoyable stay, thank you!
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy perfection. Definitely a little oasis in the middle of Robina. Hosts were gracious and left fresh chicken eggs, honey and home-baked cookies. Can't wait to stay again.
- Damien (10/5): Best Ever. - Definitely the best place we have ever stayed out on our trips to the Gold Coast. As most of our time is spent at Robina it was so close and made our travels so short that we could actually enjoy ourselves and not have to worry about traffic.
The hosts were awesome, a lovely welcome basket on our arrival which we proceeded to tell everyone about as we hadn't experienced that before. If we knew for sure that this years tournament was at the same place we would have booked in again without hesitation.
Beds were comfy, lounge was relaxing and the air con certainly helped in the stifling conditions we encountered and everything was in the property that we needed to be self sustaining and not have to buy take away every night like some places.
Would highly recommend the Bee Cottage to anyone and as soon as we find out if we have to go to the same location this year we will be booking (or trying to) again.
- Nina (8/5): Lovely host and locations - Lovely host and perfect location The rooms got very hot
- Melinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kris (10/5): Just right. - It it small but well appointed and close to beach and shops. We had a lovely stay
- John (7/5): The atay was good for us as we had a function to attend nearby so overall happy bit it would have been better if it was - Value for money b The cleanliness was not up to standard with dirty glass windows and doors and small webs and insects around wall corners and ceiling. Also we couldn’t work out how to use Netflix and the air fryer was very noisy so we didn’t want to use it.
- Paul (10/5): A cosy cottage near the city. - Very clean, well appointed with well stocked provisions and delicious eggs and honey provided by resident livestock. An unexpected and pleasant addition. A great location for access to public transport. We were perfectly happy with our stay and recommend this property to anyone.
- Dianne (9/5): I enjoyed my short stay at Bee Cottage - It was a small well appointed unit. Very comfortable and decorated beautifully with the added bonus of home grown eggs and honey. Also some lovely home made biscuits. It was very quiet and private. It would be tricky to have travelled with a work colleague as the entry to the bathroom is through the main bedroom.
- Pranjali (8/5): Very good -
- Meghan (9/5): Wonderful stay at the bee cottage - We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! The location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, which was ideal for traveling with a toddler. The interior decor was beautiful, with a lovely beach vibe that made it feel so inviting. There are two small steps instead the cottage that smaller kids may struggle with but was a non issue for us. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the thoughtful welcome pack of eggs and honey was a delightful touch. The bed was comfortable and soft. While there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms, leaving the door open with the aircon on in the lounge kept the room pleasantly cool. The hosts were exceptionally kind, and April went above and beyond by bringing a chicken to the front door for my son to interact with. Although the chicken coop is just outside the bedroom window, the chickens were very quiet, and we didn't hear them after they were settled for the night and it was nice getting to see the chickens roam around. Overall, it was a truly lovely experience for our family, and we highly recommend it! There was no egg chair in the outdoor area like in the pictures.
- Jeanette (10/5): Lovely cottage - Lovely quiet location, cosy cottage with good facilities and a nice decked area to sit out on.0 The lovely fresh eggs and honey were a nice touch, would highly reccommend this place
- Jennifer (8/5): It was a lovely peaceful stay. Clean and nicely presented. - My boys whom are teenagers couldn't close the door to their room, we know that it was a small room, but being able to close the door could have helped.
- Helen (10/5): A very comfortable cottage with everything we needed, and we hope to come back! - April & Jason were excellent hosts, and they went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable.
The basic supplies in the pantry were greatly appreciated, as were the fresh eggs and honey.
We recommend their Bee Cottage to any one wanting a quiet location, a very comfortable cottage and with awesome hosts.
- Savita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ken (10/5): Loving accommodation. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. - It’s clean and tidy. Living area is big. The hosts provided fresh produce which was delicious.
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, quiet and comfortable. We will definitely stay again. Excellent value for money.
- Tahlia (9/5): Quiet and clean - Quiet, nice little place. The honey and eggs were a cute little touch. Easy check in. It was a little awkward only having the ensuite in the main bedroom, which I didn’t realise until after booking but we only stayed for one night so made it work.
