Guest Reviews
- Kerry (1/5): -
- Myrium (5/5): Great location in vintage pub. Not currently operating dining facilities - website provided menu tho - Location was excellent, website did not show bistro was closed. Room would have been better with tea/coffee provisions. No meals, no tea/coffee provided in room.
- Anonymous (1/5): Had to stay as my usual stay was fully booked. No one will stay twice at this dirty place - Location is central. Thats the ONLY positive things. Main door was closed even though check in time is pre informed. Had to wait in cold weather
Dirty washrooms
Dust everywhere
Bad odour
Look like not maintained
Not worth for the money spent
Kitchen is a crap. Microwave is not cleaned for ages. Fridge doors are kept open and not running
Hope no one will stay twice.
Had to stay in this over priced non worthy place as my usual staying commercial hotel was fully booked.
They are offering complimentary breakfast also.
- Sam (6/5): Value for money & comfy IF you're looking for a basic room in town centre for an overnight stay - Value for money and comfy beds Very basic facilities but everything you need, room didn't have air conditioning but could open window. Wouldn't recommend if it's hot days & nights. Shared bathrooms & toilets, backpacker style hostel feel - cleanliness a bit questionable
- Zoete (9/5): Superb -
- Azadeh (5/5): Passable -
- Aaron (6/5): Pleasant - Noise from the other rooms late at night
- Frances (7/5): Good - just had the coffee
- Jagdip (5/5): Not recommended - Cleanliness No microwave, no cattle, no wifi, no iron, no hair dryer, no even small utensils, waited long time for hot water for shower and water stayed for like 7 minutes and had to get cold shower early in morning. Broken window outside
- Barry (4/5): Disappointing -
- John (3/5): Payment confusion, waiting until 10.00 am for $50 key refund. ( a nice little money spinner I expect - Not provided The owner did not have the booking nor payment' Which I paid again.
Can Booking .com confirm if the payment was recieved, if not reimburse my payments.
Payment notification made 28th April Payment confirmation pin 5470.

- Andrea (7/5): Good -
- Belinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leanne (7/5): Good -
- Romina (3/5): Poor - Free parking The room was dirty
the price was too expensive for one little room with shared bathrooms
- Galvin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Helena (4/5): Disappointing - Kenny, manager was great, always very nice, helpful and attentive .
Excellent customer service! Property needs some maintenance and renovation
- Brad (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (5/5): Passable - Location was good.
The meal in the restaurant was tasty. The room needed more lighting and power points.
Bathrooms were adequate, but could do with a bit of updating.
Difficult to check in and check out. Had to phone to get someone to open up.
Tea and Coffee facilities were not provided.
- Barry (7/5): Enjoyed the ambience and the meal in the dining room - Classic old hotel. Room was very nice with two double beds. Need to provide a glass for each person. No tea / coffee making facility.
- Maree (8/5): Very good accommodation for the price. - Very clean room and amenities. Extremely central to the town of Camperdown. Good parking in off street yard. Charming and friendly host. My room needed a wall mirror.
- Heather (10/5): Wonderful stay! Excellent staff who kindly let me have a late checkout and were super friendly. - The location and accesibility of the Leura hotel and the very friendly staff was wonderful. Comfy beds, quiet and even though the bathroom is shared everything felt very private.
- Shellbell (6/5): Pleasant -
- Erin (7/5): Good - Beds were very comfortable. Floors needed a good hoover, never saw any staff, no signs for where shared kitchen was.
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emily (7/5): Good - Didn't have any heaters.
- Mary (5/5): A hotel with great potential let down by apparently being run by not enough staff. - Convenient location, comfy beds, and good price. Electric blankets were very much appreciated in winter at Camperdown. Empty the rubbish bins in the kitchen and bathrooms!! Cleanliness in common areas could definitely be improved. There was no heat except a portable heater which we had to move to another power point.
- Don (1/5): Absolutely terrible. I will never return and will deter others from even thinking about it. - no breakfast Could have had hot water. Two days with no hot water + no showers. Should have had a heater in the room. Could have had the bed made better. kitchen messy. Kitchen bin not emptied. Our booking was not recorded in the ledger of the hotel.
- Stewart (6/5): Pleasant - Budget accommodation
- Ern (8/5): Very good -
- Binhua (10/5): spacious building and good value for money! - classical building and room, so good value for money! There is no air-conditioner or heater in the room, but fireplace in the wall (not hot) and electric blanket on the bed.
- Heather (7/5): Good -
- Marcus (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jo (7/5): Great atmospheric old hotel. Very clean & comfortable beds. - As a woman, sharing bathroom facilities with men & no visible staff presence after check in. It is a great, atmospheric old place. I stayed there with my mum on a Sunday evening. We seemed to be the only people apart from two men. The communal lounge & kitchen were a bit sparse & could do with a deep clean.
- Julitha (5/5): Just meh - No lamps in the rooms makes for an awful atmosphere. Used soap in bottom of unclean shower. Bathroom sink not working. No wifi password given.
- Pat (9/5): Superb -
- Juliet (2/5): Very poor -
- Margrit (4/5): Disappointing -
- Rogers (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): will go back again says it all - clean newly painted rooms, central and parking behind. dining room and dinner 👌 the host and staff we’re struggling to keep up with the influx of the Easter rush, cleaning the showers bathrooms were a letdown.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional - Every thing. The staff very friendly None
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Booked in for a night over the phone, got to check-in and it had not been written down, so got a room which only had a bed and nightstand in it. Rooms were not overly clean. Shared bathrooms were not very clean. Overall very outdated, needs a lot of work, especially for the price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The sheets were only pulled up from occupant before and pubic hair and covers covered in take away food spillage , pillow cases with night before stains
No toilet paper in amenities and wet towels left and puddles from day before , no coffee or milk Kitchen a mess , lighting all switched off and dark fumble to find right switches , carpets in room not vacuumed For god knows how long no soap or shampoos , not value for money !!!!!!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - According to the reviews before I booked, it had 4 stars. It is definitely not 4 stars as our room carpet wasn’t vacuumed, the shared bathroom basin wasn’t clean. I asked for extra 2 pillows twice and never received it. We were not sure if we could touch the bread, jam etc in shared kitchen so we didn’t have it. No instructions at all. No stool to put clothes on in bathroom. Would be nice if there was a mirror in bedroom. We didn’t know what to do at checkout as there was no one around. One positive thing - the bed was very comfortable. I do wish them the best with the renovations and hope it will give better service.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Lack of hanging facilities both in bathroom and bedroom
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is not ready for public accommodation. Most of the room use shared facilities. Ever the shared facilities are not finished. No mirrors, towel or toilet roll holders, no stock of tissues or toilet paper. No front desk, no on site personnel, etc. Paid $100 fir a night, where this would buy a room in a motel with ALL of the above.
