• Guenter (9/5): - Einmaliger Gastgeber - besser geht es nicht. Frisches Obst, Säfte. Wertvolle Tips und Empfehlungen. Schöne Wohnung, prima Ausstattung. Terrasse, Pool - alles da. Die Strasse ist während unseres Aufenthaltes durch Baustellen-LKW Verkehr zeitweise etwas störend. Geht aber irdendwann vorbei.

• Veronica Alexandra (10/5): Sehr erholsam - Die Ruhe, die außergewöhnliche View. Der Gastgeber ist äußerst nett und hat uns frische Säfte aus der eigenen Ernte in der Früh gebracht, es hat perfekt zum Frühstück gepasst. Die Appartement war gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber.

• Sander (10/5): Fantastische plek om tot rust te komen! - Rustige ligging tussen de bergen, weg van de toeristische drukte, maar toch met 20 minuten met de auto bij de kust. Willy is de perfecte gastheer. Elke ochtend kregen we een kan vers sap uit eigen tuin. Vaak deelde hij ook ander lekkers met ons. Het appartement was zeer ruim met een mooie keuken van alle gemakken voorzien. Het was erg schoon. Op de eerste dag stonden er bloemen, een fles wijn, een fles water, vers fruit en snoepjes klaar voor ons. Willy was altijd goed bereikbaar voor ons en heel behulpzaam. Gran Canaria heeft mooie stranden. In de bergen is het erg mooi. Er zijn veel mogelijkheden om te wandelen of een dorpje te bezoeken. Het douchegordijn in de badkamer, maar Willy vertelde ons dat hier een scherm voor kwam. Watertemperatuur van de douche is soms wisselend warm/koud.
• Jeannet (10/5): Mooi Sunny Carmelito de luxe. - De gastvrijheid van Willy die elke dag heerlijk vers fruitsap en ander lekkers kwam brengen. Wanneer er vragen waren reageerde hij direct. De locatie tussen de bergen en het mooie zwembad waar je heerlijk op een mooi bed kan relaxen. Het is erg privé doordat er maar 3 appartementen zijn. Je zit binnen een kwartier in Puerto Rico en in 20 minuten in Maspalomas. Vergeet niet de bergen in te gaan dat is echt de moeite waard. Het bed kan wel iets ruimer zijn.
• Stuart (8/5): - We stayed at Sunny Carmelito Deluxe for two weeks during the festive period. As other reviews have mentioned, we recommend hiring a car, as it is a 15 minute drive to Arguineguín, the closest town. We stayed in Apartment three. We liked the open plan design and found the apartment spacious and very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and ideal for self-catering. The living room was a comfortable place to watch TV and relax, with the blankets adding extra cosiness in the evenings when it got cooler. There was plenty of wardrobe space and the bed was firm which suited us perfectly. Two minor suggestions: a bedside table on both sides of the bed would be useful, and a toaster would also be a welcome addition. Willy was very friendly and attentive and always replied to our messages quickly. We also really enjoyed the complimentary fresh orange and mango smoothie each morning. Having access to laundry facilities during our stay was very helpful. The pool and lounge area were perfect for afternoons when we did not feel like going out. Although the area is quiet you are only a short drive from local amenities. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would happily return. Unfortunately, we experienced issues with the shower. • David (10/5): Relaxed but attentive staff, sun, heated pool and great views. What more could we ask for? - Situated in a great location, 15 mins from the nearest town and with fabulous views. The heated pool was a bonus (stayed in January/February). The host (Willy) was amazing, his first contact was to explain where to park and which apartment was for us, he then remained easy to contact. He appeared to genuinely care about our stay which made us feel very special. Ps the wifi is good too! For us we found everything perfect.

• carsten (8/5): Vi havde et fint ophold og var meget på vandreture, da det var nemt at nå op i bjergene derfra. - Dejlig opvarmet pool. Dejlig solsenge. Godt med varme i lejlighed 1 da det var koldt morgen og aften. God rummelig lejlighed. Parkering langs vejen lige udenfor ejendommen. Supervenlig vært der hjalp hurtigt, når vi manglede noget, kom med frugt og frisk mangojuice - lækkert. For meget støj fra trafikken, særlig morgen og aften. Lejlighed 1 ligger helt ud til vejen. Vinduer bagerst ved køkken og soveværelse er dækket 70% af naboen grønne hegn, så der ikke er meget udsyn og meget lidt sol. Den private terrasse er fin, men ikke særlig i anvendelig i januar da der er for koldt i januar og solen aldrig når der ind - den tætte beliggenhed til vejen er også et minus.

Elke dag werden we voorzien van vers geperst mango-sinaasappelsap uit eigen tuin. En vaak kwam hij ‘s middags nog wat lekkers brengen als we thuis waren. Ook zorgde hij voor een paar wandelstokken, die ik kon lenen. De weg is te horen en alleen rondom ‘spits-uur’ wat drukker.
• Hidajete (10/5): Traumhafter Aufenthalt bei dem besten Gastgeber - Wir hatten einen absolut traumhaften Aufenthalt in dieser schön gelegenen Unterkunft, dank dem besten Gastgeber den man sich wünschen kann. Willy ist ein herzensguter Mensch der sich so unglaublich toll um seine Gäste kümmert. Angefangen von der ersten Kontaktaufnahme mit allen Informationen zur Unterkunft und Empfehlungen, das war sehr hilfreich. Außerdem hat er uns täglich kontaktiert, er stand jederzeit für Fragen bereit und hat uns täglich mit super leckerem frisch gepressten Orangensaft sowie frisch gepflückte Mangos und Orangen von seinem Garten verwöhnt. Aber das Beste war, dass er uns nach 2 Tagen umsonst von Apartment 3 in Apartment 1 gebracht hatte und dieses Apartment ist ein absoluter Traum. Es ist sehr sauber, sehr modern, hat eine tolle Küche, ein bequemes großes Bett und ausreichend Platz :) Als wir dachten es kann nicht besser werden hat uns Willy am 6. Januar eine weitere Überraschung gemacht mit einem Kuchen und Geschenken, da dies eine spanische Tradition ist. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist auch perfekt, da man mit dem Auto innerhalb von 20 Minuten in die nächsten Städte kommt. Unser Highlight waren die Sanddünen in Maspalomas sowie die Western Stadt Sioux City. Wir sind einfach so glücklich und dankbar, dass wir so eine tolle, ruhige Unterkunft mit so einem tollen Gastgeber gefunden haben und würden jederzeit wieder kommen! Dass wir gehen mussten :D

• Caroline (10/5): A really relaxing four days with memorable touches from Willy the exemplary host. - Willy was the perfect host. Ever attentive with many special touches such as fresh mango juice delivered daily. A really relaxing location but best to have a car to make the most of the dramatic surroundings. It was exceptionally clean with towels for pool as well as bathroom and towelling bathrobes. Good value for money for such a special place to stay. Setting, peacefulness and Willy as the perfect host.
• Steffen (10/5): Entspannung abseits des Touri-Trubels in traumhafter Bergkulisse - Das Apartment bietet einen ruhigen Rückzugsort abseits des touristischen Trubels. Inmitten einer traumhaften Bergkulisse lässt es sich wunderbar entspannen. Einige tolle Wanderrouten sind von dort aus zu erreichen, mit dem Auto nach Maspalomas oder Puerto de Mogán dauert es nur 20-25min, auch der Flughafen (35min) ist nicht allzu weit. Die Anlage mit dem kleinen Pool ist herrlich und ebenso wie die Wohnung makellos sauber. Größter Pluspunkt ist Gastgeber Willy, der sich hingebungsvoll um seine Gäste kümmert und jederzeit ansprechbar ist. Wir hatten zudem jeden Morgen einen frischen Mangosaft und Mangos von der angrenzenden Plantage oder auch mal Käse oder eine kleine Süßigkeit auf unserer Terrasse stehen. Alles in allem eine außergewöhnliche Erfahrung!

• Garré (10/5): - Willy is een schitterende gastheer. Bij aankomst lag er heel veel fruit en fles wijn stond klaar. Elke morgen werden we verwend met vers mangosap. We kregen ook eens ijspralines. Vragen over uitstappen, restaurants,...via sms werden binnen de 2 minuten beantwoord. Hadden we verse lakens, handdoeken nodig, was het zwembad warm genoeg? ,... Niets was hem teveel. Hou je van rust, plekje omringd door bergen, dan is sunny carmelito een absolute aanrader. Wij hebben volop genoten. Auto is wel belangrijk als je uitstappen wilt maken

• Koldobika Mirena (10/5): Sensacional - Gracias Willy por la semana qué nos has hecho pasar, la atención ha sido excelente, los consejos diarios magníficos, los zumos que nos preparabas todas las mañanas serán difíciles de olvidar y sobre todo la atención que nos has prestado es prácticamente insuperable (reservas en restaurantes, lugares para visitar....), con relación a los apartamentos hay que decir que están en una zona tranquila con todas las comodidades (piscina muy limpia, apartamentos cómodos y funcionales con todo lo necesario, terraza en cada uno de los apartamentos...) el apartamento está situado a unos 10 km de la autovía que dan mucho juego para poder moverte por la isla de gran canaria, el coche por este motivo es necesario, teniendo una zona para aparcar frente al apartamento, en caso de volver a Gran Canaria sin dudarlo este seria mi alojamiento, Todo fue perfecto

E' tutto tenuto benissimo ma soprattutto Willy è fantastico! Porta il frullato la mattina ed è sempre disponibile per qualsiasi cosa, da un bisogno ad un consiglio. • Giulia (10/5): Non vediamo l’ora di tornare ! - Struttura fantastica situata completamente in mezzo alla natura, niente da dire sul paesaggio che offre la casa. Facilmente raggiungibile e ben collegata ai vari centri della città e alle spiagge, vale la pena farsi quei 15 minuti in macchina, il paesaggio attorno è unico. Willy, il proprietario, è una persona d’oro, ci ha fatti sentire come a casa. Ogni mattina ci faceva trovare le sue spremute di frutta fresca fuori dall’appartamento e al nostro arrivo ci ha fatto trovare all’interno vari snack ,un po’ di frutta e una bottiglia di vino. È stato SEMPRE disponibile per noi, addirittura ci consigliava dove mangiare e che cosa visitare (seguite i suoi consigli non ve ne pentirete). L’abitazione era perfetta e dotata di tutti i confort , per non parlare della piscina … un oasi di pace. Scegliete Willy!!! Niente da dire
• Iris (10/5): Maravilloso lugar y amabilidad de su dueño!! - Este es un lugar para no marcharse!! Es muy tranquilo, apenas se escucha un ruido. Realmente un remanso de paz. Está súper nuevo, el apartamento tiene todo lo necesario y más, como estar en tu propia casa. Hasta tenía diferentes tipos de cafeteras, de cápsulas, americana, italiana... Me encantó eso! Tienes toallas para ducharte, albornoz, toalla de piscina. Una piscina climatizada con unas tumbonas enormes y una mesa con juegos de mesa. Aire acondicionado. Jabones en el baño. Secador de pelo. Tiene también una lavadora y tabla de planchar y plancha. Pero lo mejor de este sitio y que es la guinda del pastel es su dueño. SÚPER AMABLE. Ojalá todo el mundo tratara así a sus clientes. Dan ganas de venir mil veces más, de verdad. Además, te recibe con fruta de su finca y aperitivos y cada mañana con un zumo de mango recién exprimido!!! Regresaremos y ya lo hemos recomendado entre la familia y los amigos.😄😄 Muchísimas gracias por todo!!! Todo ha sido maravilloso!!

Willy is a warm and kind-hearted person. The apartment is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you might need. • Liz (10/5): Lovely relaxing holiday - The perfect setting in the mountains, we loved that there were just 3 apartments sharing a gorgeous pool area - swimming at night in the dark in the heated pool was so nice! You definitely need a car as you are in the mountains but we chose some days to just stay at the apartment with the pool and totally relax and other days drive to the coast just 15 minutes away. Willy, his mother Anna and brother Michael were always around in the background if you needed anything and often turned up with plates of fresh fruit or smoothies which was really nice! We plan to return there as we've had the must relaxing time! Nothing about the apartment, the mountain roads were challenging at night time until we'd got used to them as we'd not done it before!
• Daan (10/5): We spend a few very relaxed days here. - The apartment was very well equipped (big private kitchen with cook-top, oven, coffee maker, large fridge) and while located alongside a busy road, the walled character of the terrace and pool area make this a perfect little hideaway between the mountains. Willy was very friendly and communicative and brought us fresh juice every morning. The location is fantastic, right in between the tourist beaches of Mogan (20-30 minutes by car) and the mountainous area surrounding Pico de las Nieves (about an hour of driving through stunning scenery) The bed was a little stiff and the road was a little loud. The latter was (partly) caused by the construction works for a better water supply, so that should end at some point. Also, there was a good supply of coffee, but no tea (easy to fix ourselves as there is a large supermarket relatively nearby, but would be good to know in advance).

He insisted on helping us with the luggage, made our late check out possible and even brought us snacks to the pool. The apartment is spacious with a well equipped kitchen and a nice smart tv. The location is awesome for many hikes and 15min away from Arguineguin. Situated right next to a busy road.

The apartment itself is spotless and incredibly well-equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Having access to a shared washing machine and a private drying rack for each apartment was a great convenience. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the owner. He is the kindest and sweetest host we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always available to answer questions or provide recommendations. Every morning, we were surprised with fresh juice—such a thoughtful touch! It’s worth noting that the location is a bit remote, so having a car is essential to get around. But if you’re looking to escape the stresses of everyday life, this is the perfect place—sunny, tranquil, and absolutely beautiful. We can’t wait to return next year! Highly recommend this little slice of paradise. Nothing.

There is a lovely pool area and it is in a beautiful setting among fruit trees and surrounded by mountains. Willy was an exceptional host, providing us with advice and freshly squeezed juice each morning. The region has some hiking trails with spectacular scenery. Not too much of a problem if you have a car, but the location is quite remote. It is possible to get taxis though and Willy was helpful in booking one for us on Christmas Eve.
• Brigid-lucy (7/5): Liked this place indeed and Willy was lovely but I must say, for the reasons as previously stated, I most likely would n - Loved our room but not as much as the one I had originally booked. However, when booking I went for the most expensive room with the ‘large double bed’, but when we got there, this room was already occupied. 🥲 Our room was right on a very busy road, both day and night. Did not expect it to be so noisy. Hence we had to sleep with all our windows closed.
• Alexander (10/5): Fabulous experience at Sunny Carmelito - It is hard to describe the exceptional service and accommodation that Willy provided. Firstly, the villa, garden and swimming pool were absolutely spotless. Secondly, Willy went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as good as possible, from bringing fresh orange and mango juice to my door each morning, and providing walking and exploring recommendations for each day. Willy also came to pick me up from a nearby town after one of my hikes, so that I did not have to spend money on a taxi. I can't recommend Sunny Carmelito enough; I will be returning for my next visit to Gran Canaria. Thank you Willy, take care and see you soon. Nothing!

• Wendy (10/5): A slice of paradise - Willy was the most amazing, generous host. He delivered freshly squeezed juices made from fruit on his farm, the occasional cake, a scrumptious breakfast and plates of freshly cut mangoes( the best we have ever tasted). The property was very stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We arrived quite late so Willy sent us videos showing where to park and how to find our appartment. He also gave us great advice during our stay about exploring the island. Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t be disappointed! Everything was amazing

The personal touches were so thoughtful, including birthday surprises and fre - The host, Willy, was an excellent communicator and treated us from the get go. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Nothing really. The best was little uncomfortable but that was all.
• Tony (10/5): Wonderful place - Willy was a superb host who greeted us when we arrived. There was a bottle of wine and chocolate and water in the room on arrival. He kept asking if there was anything we were missing and he would make sure we got it. There are 3 apartments in the area that share a heated pool. In the pool area, there are comfortable sun loungers with associated tables and parasols and a fantastic view of the mountains. You need a car to get around as the apartment is about 13 minutes from Arguineguin by car. The accommodation has an attached garden where you can pick oranges for fresh juice. Willy provided us with tips on hiking trails and restaurants. The accommodation is modern and well equipped for you to have a pleasant stay. Shared washing machine is available in the area. Everyting was fine.
• Siobhan (10/5): Beautiful apartment, lovely country location and excellent hosts. - The property was modern and clean. There were plenty of towels, bathrobes which are a lovely extra and a very well stocked kitchen. The bed was comfortable and helped to provide a good nights sleep. The hosts were lovely and really made sure we had everything we needed. Every day they dropped in a little gift. So thoughtful. There was lovely fruit from their own grove and a bottle of wine and chocolates to greet us. The pool was heated and like a bath so lovely. The apartment is out in the country so a car is needed. If you want to get away from a busy lifestyle, relax, enjoy the outdoors this is the place for you. It is a cyclists haven and hundreds pass every day on their way to Soria up in the mountains. I would highly recommend this as a get away from it all type of holiday. Everything was excellent.
• Laura (10/5): Wonderful getaway with beautiful views - The host was wonderful and very helpful. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. The pool area was just amazing with the heated pool and comfortable lounging beds. The whole house is very nice and private, perfect for a getaway!
• Chloe (8/5): Peace and quiet of SUNNY CARMELITO DELUXE with a super friendly host! - Willie was an awesome host. He was so helpful even before we even arrived. We were arriving late and it would be dark, so I shared my concerns of finding the place and checking in. He sent videos of how to enter the property, and how to find our room too, which put my mind at ease. Upon arrival, the finca was lovely. There were 3 rooms, all sharing the pool. In the morning, it was so peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful. The facilities were good, plenty of towels, cooking facilities, bathroom facilities etc. A bottle of wine and fresh fruit on arrival, we made fresh orange juice which was just delicious! Willie met us whilst we were staying and was very friendly. He was very easy to reach via text. He sent restaurant recommendations, and sometimes I asked for these too - and they were great! We liked our room, Room 3. It has its own private terrace (each room does) with sun loungers and table and chairs, we used this everyday. But the pool also has actual beds around the pool, which are so lovely in the sun - easy to fall asleep with a book! In terms of food near the hotel, we loved Bar Bentorey, very friendly people, cheap beer and very tasty food, and open until late! We did not visit El Pinello. The shop close by was ok, but a bit empty of supplies when we visited, but that didn't matter, because we had a car to go to a bigger shop. - The Finca is only reachable by car. We looked at a taxi from the airport but it was very expensive! So, we decided to hire a car which was very easy to do, and we are glad we did, as it made it easier to come and go as we pleased. - There is no parking, so you needed to park on the side of the road. That was fine by us, but that made some guests a bit upset, so be aware, there is no parking inside - but Willie does make that clear on his booking.com page. - There was no air-con in Room 3 - maybe it will be installed soon, but it will be needed before the summer, otherwise it will be very hot!! So maybe a fan or two in case someone needed some cool air :) Otherwise, everything was awesome and we loved the quiet and seclude that SUNNY CARMELITO DELUXE offers.

• Hans-erik (9/5): Nice stay away from the crowds - I was staying in apartment #1 and it was fully refurbished, I think I might have been the first guest after refurbishment. All kitchen equipment are brand new and there are all necessary utensils(brand new) for cooking your own food. The "kitchen island" is very convenient. The host offered fresh oranges every day, which was very much appreciated by me. Location is about 10 km away from the coast and big hotels, if you have a car this is the perfect place to get away from the crowds. The road is going very near to apartment #1 and this is a little disturbing, otherwise i would have given a 10 in rating. I have also a little sensitive back and the bed was little to hard for me, might be ok for other persons.

• Sabrina (8/5): Beautiful place in the mountains - Equipments brand new and very modern, very clean flat, fruits from the garden for the best fresh orange juices in the morning, overall very good looking place, easy parking, small store few meters away if you need food or drinks, friendly host/always reachable - Have been bothered during my whole stay (4 days) because of locking issues with the windows and main door. It’s a brand new place, so nothing weird, I just wished everything had been checked before my venue or fixed quickier so I can enjoy my holidays (all good now, though !). - The motor of the swimming pool cleaner was too noisy for me, and is usually on most of the night and day. It has been partly turned off upon request as I was alone in the complex but I wouldnt take the risk to go back and have to deal with it. Please note that I am super sensitive to noises so it might just be me! - I have been really cold in that flat in december and my clothes wouldnt dry, would be great to have a little heater just in case!

• Anonymous (10/5): Wonderful place - If you want to escape mass tourism and be in a wonderful place with impressive views, do not hesitate to visit this place. The apartments are very cozy and have everything you need to do everything. We had a supermarket a 10 minute walk away. What surprised us most was so many people on bikes and running through the mountains, many places to walk. A wonderful place, we will return without a doubt very soon. It is a highly recommended place and the owners are very attentive and helpful.
