Chris (9/5): Wonderful stop-over in Sierpe - We are a family of 5 and booked the family room which was more than big enough for our purposes. The location was great, away from hussle and bussle of the town centre but only a 10min safe walk down the road. The swimming pool was a massive hit with the kids! Stephanie helped us with a (cheap) taxi in the morning for Drake ferry. We have very fond memories of our brief stay - we highly recommend! No complaints!

Connell (10/5): Super friendly host, lovely location. - Lovely spot, made a great stop over before our trip to Drake Bay, easy stroll from the couple of eating places in Sierpe (it’s a very small town). Apparently you can also pay to leave your vehicle there while you go to Drake Bay - wish we’d done that instead of dealing with a different parking option. Nothing.

Felix (10/5): - Wir haben auf dem Weg nach Drake Bay hier Station gemacht und unser Auto für einige Tage geparkt (4 Dollar je Tag). Beim Abholen wollte unser Auto nicht anspringen. Die freundliche Chefin des Hotels war in der Situation sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns geholfen wieder auf die Straße zu kommen. Danke! Nichts
Philipp (8/5): Good place to explore Sierpe - Unser Aufenthalt war gut. Frühstück ist basic aber gut. Der Pool ist nett. Die Zimmer sind sauber aber minimal ausgestattet. Im Bad hatten wir leider extrem wenig Wasserdruck, was das Duschen kompliziert gestaltet hat. Die Zimmer waren sehr hellhörig.
Sergio (4/5): Mejor buscar otra opción - Estancia de dos noches en habitación amplia, dos camas grandes cómodas, pero muy básica en todo lo demás, con tan solo una silla. No dispone de armario y el equipaje hay que dejarlo en el suelo. En nuestra habitación se oía claramente el ruido de la carretera. No dispone de agua caliente en las habitaciones. La piscina es de plástico con ducha de agua fría aunque en un entorno agradable. Tiene aparcamiento privado. El desayuno es escaso y de poca calidad. El primer día lo intentamos pero nos fuimos casi sin probarlo, y el segundo día, al igual que el primero, nos fuimos a otro restaurante a desayunar. Para colmo te piden pagar en efectivo.

Pour la visite en bateau de la rivière très bonne expérience avec Kokopeli et son guide Moïses. Le petit déjeuner un peu spartiate type Ibis de base. Utile d’avoir un véhicule pour aller dans le centre de Sierpe prendre le bateau.

Hawk (10/5): Loved Cocodrilo and will stay there again! - Loved the location! Quiet, convenient, and birding paradise - just sit by the pool and check out birds for hours! We saw 30 species of birds each morning. Rooms are comfy (A/C worked great) and the half mile walk to town pleasant in the evening. Stephanny and staff were all very nice and super helpful. The mattress was just OK and there's no fridge.

Rachele (8/5): Paesaggio incantevole, clientela over 70. Necessita di autoveicolo privato - Ho viaggiato da sola, donna (giovane). Gli Spazi comuni sono molto ampi, immersa completamente nel verde coerente al contesto dell’area circostante. La mia stanza era pulita e anche il bagno privato. La colazione molto buona e curata, personale molto gentile. un handicap é stato che il bagno non era nella stanza e nemmeno attaccato.. quindi di notte che diluviava, per andare in bagno é stato un problema. Inoltre se non si ha un mezzo privato, per la posizione in cui si trova é impossibile trovare da mangiare. C’è un mini market, ma molto minimal, e una “pizzeria” (una signora con un forno in casa che fa pizze su richiesta e da asporto) ma io essendo celiaca non ho potuto mangiare niente. Non ha ristorante la struttura altro grande handicap. Per mangiare sei costretto ad andare quindi alla cittadina più vicina, Sierpe, che dista 20 min a piedi andando veloce.. e il rientro al buio sulla strada principale non è la cosa più sicura del mondo.

Morgan (10/5): Havre de paix - L’hôte est d’une gentillesse remarquable et déborde d’une énergie solaire ! Nous avons adoré cette parenthèse de déconnexion dans ce petit havre de paix, au calme. L’endroit est idéal pour partir en excursion dans les mangroves et au Corcovado, et notre hôte s’est d’ailleurs occupée des réservations pour nous. Zudem ist es gegen eine kleine Gebühr möglich, das Auto am Hotel während des Aufenthalts in Corcovado sicher abzustellen.

Stephanny è davvero gentilissima e disponibile ,ci ha accolto con il sorriso e ci ha aiutato ad organizzare tutto per il meglio , rispondendo ad ogni nostra esigenza . Punto in più per la possibilità di lasciare la macchina nel parcheggio dell hotel per la notti passate nel Corcovado. Sicuramente posto migliore dove alloggiare a Sierpe ,non perdetevelo!

Marc (7/5): - Nous avions été bien accueilli par un personnel très agréable. Les chambres sont grandes. La piscine est très agréable. Le petit déjeuner était bon. Nous avons participé à une sortie sur les canaux. Des ajustements sont à prévoir mais pour une première sortie, c était déjà très bien. Nous avons apprécié le guide du bateau qui savait bien repérer les animaux, la visite de la bananeraie et du musée ainsi que les explications sur la faune, la flore et la population du coin. Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes et seraient à rafraîchir. Le linge de lit également.

Kop-van Eck (10/5): Dit hotel raden wij ten zeerste aan! - Hotel COCODRILO is een fijne plek. De kamers zijn goed, het zwembad en de hangmatten zijn zalig en het ontbijt is heerlijk. Maar bovenal is de gastvrijheid ongekend. Manager Stephanie is vriendelijk, denkt mee en helpt mee om een verblijf in Drake Bay zo goed mogelijk te organiseren. Het achterlaten van de auto bij het hotel en wegbrengen naar en ophalen bij het haventje van Sierpe zijn mogelijk. Er was niets dat niet beviel.

El aparato de fuera del aire acondicionado está pegado a la habitación por la parte de atrás, y cuando algún otro cliente enciende el aire, hay mucho ruido y por la noche se dificulta el descanso

Michelle (9/5): A Birder’s Dream - We LOVED this property and highly recommend it for any birders. There’s a tree line around the property where several species of birds were spotted by our son - most were lifers for him. The room was comfortable with AC and clean / comfy beds and bathrooms. The breakfast included a lesson in local fruits grown on the property and the chance to taste new ones - like Guapa. We were headed to an overnight tour at Corcovado National Park and this was a perfect place to stay for us.

The room was clean and comfortable and the pool was small, but clean. I really liked the garden area and the large yard surrounding the property. Great for children to run in. The only slightly bad thing is that the hotel is not in town. You do have to drive to get to town.

This is reflected in the price but not adequately disclosed, since booking doesn't have a data field for whether a private bath is attached or not. And the room itself is pretty bare, per the photos. It's a roughly 15-minute walk into town.

Donald (6/5): It was handy to Sierpe and an 'okay' place to stay. My bed sunk under my bum so I had to sleep over. - Others have raved about the breakfast. WTF? It was extremely basic - no bacon or sausages or meat. And, there wasn't much of it. The coffee was good though. And, it was fun watching the dog, cat, chickens, geckos, etc. running all over the place but not bothering you or each other - total harmony. The dog next door barked a lot. (Perhaps his name is/was 'Barker.') The rooster started early and didn't let up in the morning. The staff were very nice. Check out time (9:00 AM) was waaaaaaay too early.

Shireen (9/5): Enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy when we arrived very late. Food was good. Had a shared fridge and use of kitchen lat - Location, security, staff, food. AC and hot water in the shower were also good. The blankets or covers could be a bit larger on the beds. On a double bed my husband and I had to keep stealling the covers because neither of us had enough extending on our side. The covers barely extend over the edge of the bed. Pillows could also be a bit more comfortable. Otherwise our stay was very nice. The staff were very nice and helpful. No wifi but our mobile service worked so that was not an issue for us.

Oxana (8/5): Very good - Nice stay around Sierpe, great host which was very welcoming and even gave us a lift to the boat dock the next morning as we did not have a car. spacious room with AC, and nice spot with hammocks alongside the Pool to wait for the boat to Bahia Drake. We had a room with Shared bathroom and had to cross the entire facility also during the night to get to the bathroom. Besides our room was next to the kitchen, so once they started prepare breakfast (also with music on) we were completely awake.

Wells (9/5): The overall stay was great. The owner very helpful and friendly. We would go back. - A nice breakfast served with friendly face. Couldn't pick up internet Lighting in room was dark. The bed really hard, uncomfortable.
Daan (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed here for 1 night to go from sierpe to drake bay and we loved it! The hosts were very helfull and kind and answered all of our questions! The rooms were very clean and big and the pool was a nice extra! I would definitely recommend to stay in this appartment ! -
