Guest Reviews
- Gwen (8/5): Good place to stay if you have a car. - Comfortable lounge, and pretty much everything
You needed, renovated bathroom.
Pretty quiet at night. Away from town centre, main bed quite hard,
No face washers.

- Guest (8/5): Peaceful weekend stay with great fireplace - Nice cottage in peaceful location, great fireplace and plenty of firewood and firestarters provided. Keys were on the property in a lock box and the heater was on when we arrived on a cold weekend which was nice. Kitchen could use a deep clean, had a buildup of grease but the bathroom was very clean. BYO toiletries, was just a bulk pack all in one wash provided at the house. Also the wifi wasn't working when we stayed.
- Serene (9/5): Comfortable ! - Well maintained, clean, with it’s got everything you need in a stay. Can’t find any.
- Ezra (9/5): - Gezelligheid en inrichting Geen
- jamie (9/5): The perfect mountain cottage - The house was an absolute gem. Quaint, cosy, and loaded with everything I could possibly want and need. The living room with a smart tv and seating configuration that allowed the whole family to be able to comfortably see the screen. The fireplace was especially nice and perfect for the cottage. The spacious kitchen and dining area with an array of cooking condiments. The bathroom was the crowning glory with a very logical layout and flow. With a bath tub that you could scuba dive in to heated towel rack and plenty of hanging space it was really well sorted. Bed was comfy and toasty with electric blankets. The big back yard which is drenched in the morning sun was just simply revitalising. One of the electric blankets was not working and the power boards by the bed seemed to rather notchy. Beware the driveway if you enter under a full load ie. passengers and gear and you drive a low clearance vehicle its gonna get rough!
- LESLEY (10/5): A nice stay in beautiful surroundings. - The pot belly stove and the electric blanket on the bed.
All the extra spices and cooking appliances in the kitchen
The feeling of being in a home.
Being able to contact the owner if necessary. The weather. Very cold.
Losing the internet because of the wind and rain.
The very modern TV. However we could contact the owner for help.

- Alison (8/5): Beautiful cottage to spend a weekend in the Mountains - Very comfortable cottage for my daughters and I to enjoy a weekend together. Loved the wood heater and every room was cosy and warm. Beautiful artwork in every room. Bed in main bedroom was very uncomfortable. Great if you like a very firm mattress.
- Nicole (8/5): Nice and cosy, would stay again. - The electric blankets, streaming services, open fire, good tv, coffee pod, and big backyard. Power point in kitchen didn't work consistently, Disney not always working, leaking bathroom sink.
- Anonymous (6/5): Fire was warm & hot water was good. - Internet
Fireplace and firewood
Gas hot water
Central location Lack of privacy in the bathroom
Hard bed
Cold air coming in under the doors
Building materials in driveway
Property needs a good clean & some general maintenance
- Katherine (10/5): Cozy warm met all our needs - Cozy…charming..,quirky,.. pet friendly ! Nothing
- Janstte (10/5): Excellent weekend in a great place. - This would be the best weekend we have ever had in a rental property. It far exceeds any other for cleanliness, facilities and location. My little dog had a ball exploring the back yard. She rates it good as well. The back door could do with a blind to stop the sunrise shining into the bedroom.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erin (10/5): Absolutely gorgeous, loved our stay -
- Keira (8/5): Good place for a small family - - location
- fire place
- large backyard
- felt at home
- communication with hosts
- electric blankets - main bed was very firm. My partner liked it while I found it too hard
- drive way too steep to get car up, so parked around the corner. By the number of scrapes on the driveway we aren’t the only ones
- shower leaked
- being a dog friendly house it smelt mildly of dog in the living room
- Shaun (10/5): Amazing place. No regrets. - Absolutely everything. Very cosy, fire was brilliant, great cooking facilities Nothing, we absolutely loved our time here
- Howard (10/5): We loved the whole area of Katoomba, and the cottage made our visit special. - We loved the well appointed cottage. It was very clean, lots of extras. We especially loved the nightly wood fires, heaters in all rooms and electric blankets on the very lovely beds.We would certainly recommend it.

- Stacey (10/5): Perfect short stay - It was nice and cosy the atmosphere was perfect for us to unwind and catch up.
The front room was a little noisy from the cars driving by but not terrible
- Kat (10/5): An excellent stay in a comfortable, clean and well-appointed property that allowed our doggies to stay! - The property was very clean and tidy with a cozy feel. A very well equiped kitchen, a modern bathroom and a living room with a super log burner. The beds were very comfy, with crisp linen. The deciding factor was the ability to bring our dogs and the garden was big and secure! There was a doggy bed and a dog bowl provided! We loved our stay and would definitely book it again.
- Monica (10/5): Cozy Retreat with a Pet-Friendly Garden Delight 🐾🐶🥰 - We had a lovely stay at Josephine’s – such a cozy, welcoming space! The woofire burner warmed up the whole place beautifully, making it feel like a true home away from home. Our furry family member absolutely loved the backyard garden – plenty of space to sniff, explore, and relax. A peaceful spot with all the comforts we needed. Highly recommend!
- Margaret (7/5): Good - The tap in the shower for the hot water came off in my hand and the water was hard to regulate. I ended up having a Luke warm shower.
It would have been no nice to have a small carton of milk in the fridge for tea and coffee.
- Helen (8/5): Charming cottage - very dog friendly ! - Charming little cottage in a very quiet neighbourhood- with a very dog-friendly back yard ! The main bed was a little hard - also no laundry facilities in house for catching up on washing!

- Peter (10/5): This was the best accommodation that we have stayed in for a long time. We will definitely be back! - Was extremely happy with the cleanliness of the house and the extra facilities ie board games, ample heating, firewood, coffee machine. Also, it was very modern. Nothing.
- Matthew (10/5): Quaint 2 bed cottage - Quaint little 2 bed cottage, well appointed, quiet but convenient location, relaxed atmosphere.
- Rick (9/5): Classic Blue Mountains vibes. - Beautiful, cosy, very well equipped.
- Benjamin (4/5): Disappointing - Location Kitchen was riddled with ants
Beds had doonas covered in food
- Dr (9/5): Cute little cottage getaway - Great little cottage in a quiet area.
Pet friendly so the dogs were welcome and loved sitting in front of the fire with us. There was no firewood inside or outside and being winter I felt this should have been readily available. We were able to source some in the end to enjoy a nice fire in the evenin.
- Belinda (8/5): Very good -
- Lise (8/5): Cute and clean but noisy and cold - Cute house, well decorated and very clean.
Kitchen was well equipped although we'd have appreciated a stove fan rather than having to open the window
Smart TV and chimneys were very good, particularly appreciated how dry and easy to burn the wood provided was, best fireplace and supplies we've ever had in an accomodation Noisy: the street had a fair bit of fast-going traffic all day long.
Garden looked sad and the view was partly blocked by some sheds
Despite the heaters, the house was very cold. The heater in the bathroom was nowhere near strong enough and the floors were freezing. We could see our breath steaming in the air in the bathroom even with the heater on.
Maybe a nicer place to stay in Spring/autumn?
- Jurairat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Henry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emilie (8/5): Very good -
- Gunadi (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): Great stay - Great place- very cosy Very cosy
- Kay (10/5): Cosy and ideal. - We loved everything about the property, it was cosy and perfect for us. It was really kind that the owner put the heating on for our arrival and we loved the wine and chocolates - it was a lovely touch. Thank you. There was a little bit of shopping that we had to do - dish washing liquid, chux, matches, fire starters - but not a big deal at all. The kettle needed descaling, so we had to use a pan to boil water for drinks. Again, not a big deal. I guess just little things.
- Lana (10/5): Exceptional - Well maintained with all the required amenities Nothing!
- Frank (9/5): Superb -
- Toni (9/5): Cosy warm homely cottage - A good spot to use as a base to look around the Blue Mountains. It would be even better if it had a washing machine and dryer. It was raining and a bit muddy on our bush walks so a washing machine and dryer would have come in handy.
- Daiana (10/5): Cosy, calm and cute! Would definitely stay again. - Cosy and clean. Close to all main facilities. Nothing!
- Craig (9/5): Top stay - Lovely house, nice location . Very well equipped and prepared. Lovely Easy to scrape car on driveway
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Great value and convenient to Blue Mountain hiking.
- Tracey (9/5): Perfect place for a getaway. Would love to return. - Cozy, warm, beautifully decorated cottage. Lovely outdoor spots for morning and afternoon sun.
- Nerida (8/5): Very good - The decor was tasteful and uncluttered. Nice touches such as chocolates and wine on arrival. The kitchen was well set up. There was no washing machine and this is needed where a longer stay is planned.
- Bert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (8/5): Cosy but needs some tidying up around the yard for first impression. - The house was nice, liked the cosy feel. Some of the condiments needed to be checked ( used by date ). Disappointed that the washing machine wasn’t provided. The front window needed a block of wood in to keep it opened. Couldn’t latch on the bedroom door and no coat hanger. No window coverings.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - Such a cosy, comfortable home. Very well equipped. Really enjoyed our stay, wish we could have stayed longer!
- Dorothée (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottage with cosy fireplace. Very nice artwork. There was no garden furniture.

- Cf (10/5): Wonderful stay at Katoomba - - Great location and easy drive to the nearby attractions.
- Well stocked kitchen and have all the supplies including different type of teas and coffee pods.
- Beds are comfy and have a lovely fireplace for the colder nights.
- Very neat and clean throughout.
- Hot water pressure is good for the shower.
- Host is very responsive on request. The slope to the driveway is a bit steep so be mindful if your car clearance is low.
- Kris (9/5): Superb - Convenient location
