- LISA (9/5): - We had a lovely stay, the shower had plenty of hot water, the bed was comfy and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. It was also lovely out in the garden and was very quiet and relaxing. I felt un-easy parking my car up on the roadway as it was a very busy street.

We can certainly recommend this accommodation. Location handy for Broadmedow/Newcastle area.
Thank you 😄 The location is a little hilly for walking. A lot of road works with the bypass development going away from New Lambton. In

- Nick (10/5): Comfortable, cosy & warm stay. - The comfortable bed, quiet garden where it's peaceful to do some work on the laptop. The fresh juice, milk & fruits left by the host in the kitchen are delicious as always! I look forward to my next stay. The TV cuts out every couple of minutes and is missing some free-to-air stations.
- Mervyn (8/5): A great place if you are looking for some relaxing downtime. - Friendly, unobtrusive Hosts. Breakfast was good and suited my need to get out quickly each day. Very private, small but self sufficient apartment appropriately named “Garden View”. Steps and/or a steep driveway may be an access issue for some.

- Trista (9/5): Loved this place and the hosts were easy to contact. Had everything you could possibly need. - Garden Rest was an excellent place to stay. It was quiet, comfotable, easy to find and the little extras like the breakfast and chockies were fabulous. It is a gem of a place to stay in Newcastle. Nothing.
- Donna (9/5): Lovely garden aspect - Added little extras were very much appreciated. Everything we needed at our finger tips. Would come again. Steep driveway was slippery after the rain. Although we had great lighting and stairs to walk, the car had on street parking. We got fit
- Tapas (9/5): Amazing! - Really nice relaxing and fully equipped studio room amidst tall trees, lovely garden & birds chirping right at your doorstep. Stay was super comfy and hosts were very welcoming.
- Frase (10/5): Loved it, going back again for sure. Recommend for couples! Got more than we expected! - Garden Rest is a peaceful haven in a restless city. The apartment was very comfortable. The bed was great! The outdoor area and yard were a sanctuary after a long drive and a pleasure upon waking in the morning. Our hosts went out of there way to make us feel at home. I could go on... Nothing
- Linda (9/5): Superb -

- Robie (9/5): Cozy and quiet apartment - Cozy and quiet apartment surrounded by a beautiful garden.
The bed is really comfortable and smells fresh. As it was a cold night, we really appreciated the electric blankets.
Peter, the owner, welcomed us upon our arrival.
- Debra (8/5): Very good -
- Charis (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very pleasant little BnB. Lovely breakfast. Our host communicated with us very well. - Convenient location for us close to family. Mosquitoes were particularly bad. But hosts provided spray and warned us. Slippery steep driveway was a bit tricky. Alternative were steps that also were a bit steep and possible trip hazard. Again our host clearly warned us and showed us this. The steepness of access was not clear when booking.
- John (10/5): Warm, comfortable an inviting - Location, tranquil surroundings, the cleanliness and presentation and comfort as well as the food items laid out by the hosts. Nothing
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): A lovely place to stay. Wonderful hosts. Highly recommended. Great value for money! - The location of the property was great! It was a short drive to shops and restaurants. The property had everything we needed and it was a nice touch to have the fridge stocked with milk, butter, jam, bread (4 kinds!), yoghurt and berries. We also had muesli, apples and bananas and a good selection of teas and coffee too! Toiletries and towels were given. Helpful instructions on how to stream on the TV were provided. Wifi signal was strong. Aircon worked like a bomb! I was also able to use the washing machine and was given a hanging rack. We parked in the street and we never had any problems. Peter and Dorothy are great hosts! We would recommend anyone to stay at Garden's Rest. Sometimes the room smelled musty but it was probably partly our fault since we didn't open the windows much. Bathroom area was a little tight. Just be careful of walking up and down the steep driveway when it rains, it could get slippery. However, you can take the stairs.
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (9/5): Great stay, will be back one day. But not for a while as having operation and will be on crutches, unable to manage ste - Like a home away from home, very comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen with excellent breakfast choices. Still could not figure out how to watch normal live TV channels.
- Caroline (8/5): A great place for a one night stay while traveling up the coast. - The property had a lovely comfy bed, the breakfast provisions were good & excellent Wifi connection. Nothin
- Mitchell (9/5): Fantastic place to stay. Quiet, clean and well appointed. - Extremely well appointed. Breakfast provisions were excellent. Very quiet location. Some more comfortable outdoor seating would be nice.
- Linda (9/5): Great stay, would recommend to a friend. - Tastefully decorated and such a well stocked kitchen for breakfast!. Had a good night's sleep, bed was very comfortable. Lovely outside patio garden. Friendly host greeted me on arrival. Watched tv on my iPad as I failed to understand how to get the tv channels to work. My choice as I could easily have phoned the host, but there was not much on that I wanted to watch so I decided not to.
- Kaitlin (10/5): Amazing, beautiful accommodation - I felt so comfortable staying at Garden rest, as I had surgery and needed a place to recover. The hosts Peter and Dorothy were so accommodating, warm and helpful, they are genuinely nice people. The room/area was clean and well equipped, the outdoor garden area was beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast options were great too. Highly recommend to stay here and I would stay here again.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Comfortable and peaceful environment with all amenities on hand , I'll be back !
- Helen (10/5): Perfect stay at Garden Rest - Everything Nothing
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (8/5): Delightful stay - Delightful property, little small bathroom wise, however clean and well kept. Bed very comfortable. As above, bathroom a little small
- Anthony (10/5): Beautifully presented accommodation - Beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Nice environment outside. Nothing
- Kingsley (9/5): Superb -
- Lavinia (10/5): Comfy and cosy - Cost and comfortable, beautiful greenery surrounding and very handy and helpful hosts. These hosts definitely have high standards for cleaning and maintenance of the property. I enjoyed the serenity and and you can really relax. It wasn’t too far from Beaumont street at all via taxi where I had dinner and drinks with local friends. There isn’t much I didn’t like but the driveway is steep, I would suggest off street park but if you want to park down there is a sheltered area for your vechicle and Peter is very handy at giving good directions to get out !
- Paul (9/5): Perfect bed and breakfast accommodation for a comfortable stay over a few nights. - The accommodation was as described and expected. Very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.
We had everything we needed for our two day stay. Nothing really. To be picky if the TV was mounted on the wall (with a swing mounting) it would be easier to view from the bed. Currently it is a little low on the stand.
- Lillian (10/5): Hidden gem - When I came down the driveway it was an interesting look from the outside but having stayed in many accommodations I waited until I opened the door. It felt like I was walking into my bedroom as I have the same type of doona cover. My friend who was helping me unpack my things was also excited with all the things that I needed for my usual time out.
There was a welcoming feel in the place even from the front door. There was a tv if I needed noise and the kitchen had all the necessities. Surprises like fresh orange juice, jam and a bigger size butter considering my longer stay. The hosts were thoughtful enough to provide for the longer stay. The kitchen cupboards had all that I needed in pots and pans etc as well as condiments needed for cooking or just to spice my meal.
That bed was really great, and the pillows especially were the first ones I have ever had that did not leave me with a sore neck. I even asked the hostess where she got the pillow from because I might change mine and again the hosts replied and gave me the information that I needed.
When I wanted more towels and a change of bed linen, they were very obliging. It was very quiet on the property and especially in my little area. The bathroom had all the shower things needed, the real flowers of lavender and jonquils were just right. They extended the thoughtfulness to extra toilet paper which helped me in not having to ask for this and that to keep me going for the week.
The furnishings inside and outside are very inviting. I was offered help with my luggage as I was heading out to leave and that is very kind and a sign of that extra service that makes a difference. I have penciled a date in my diary for my next visit. Nothing to whine about thankfully..
- Yvonne (8/5): Very pleasant. - A quiet, clean and comfortable unit. I arrived after dark, found my way in easily and was settled in no time at all. The entry from the road is not easy to find in the dark and no easily seen number roadside
- M (8/5): Very good - Styled really nicely, lovely choice of diffusers made the whole apartment smell lovely. Fresh items for breakfast were a really nice bonus, love the code for entry instead of needing a key or card. 11am checkout.
- Brett (8/5): Very good -
- Brett (8/5): Very good -

- Reza (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mathew (8/5): Very good - Nice and cosy
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Drumgold (10/5): Exceptional - The privacy of the room we could just turn up stay and leave when needed, especially because we were on a quick hospital stay privacy was important and it was close to John hunter, thank you
- Michael (9/5): Very enjoyable stay. Would recommend - Accomodation was spotlessly clean with a lovely garden Driveway was a little tricky to navigate but street parking is available
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Rick (7/5): Good - As above. A litte dated cupboards but nice and comfy. A bit dated but no issue.

- Lynne (9/5): Extremely pleasant and peaceful stay - There was a continental breakfast provided as advertised and it was terrific. Muesli, plenty of fresh milk, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, jam, fruit toast, coffee pods. All most generous.
Kitchen was well stocked, full sized fridge and stove, and everything you could possibly need for your stay.
Very quite location, lovely outlook into the garden, and spotlessly clean. Please be sure to check information provided on the driveway, as it's very helpful. It is quite steep, but navigable and parking is then right outside your door.
A couple of minor issues were immediately and constructively resolved by the lovely hosts.
