- Lauren (9/5): Superb -
- Imad (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and beautiful home
Highly recommend Only negative will be on the hot days the sound of cicadas is deafening
- Rachael (10/5): A new, clean comfortable home! A great option for mixed families or families with mixed aged kids! - The home is "close set" amongst other properties, but is at the end of the block and is situated on the corner of the inlet, so private with a wonderful "bushy" waterway outlook. The house is near new, super clean (thankyou cleaners - great job), uncluttered, tastefully and simply decorated with a really practical layout for mixed families holidaying together or mixed children's age groups. It is close to Sussex Inlet and the local attractions without being right in the middle of it all. The beds were all super comfortable. Every room had inbuilt wardrobes and with a large ensuite, family bathroom and powder room downstairs there was plenty of facilities available for all. The kitchen, pantry and large Fridge/Freezer had enough basic items to cover 6 to 8 guests wanting to cook for themselves and with a fully stocked IGA in the township, it was definitely a great option to self cater if you wanted to. It also had a washing machine, dryer and airing racks if you needed this level of facilities. We loved the fire pit and used it every night to have a glass of wine around before heading to bed. The wood for the fire pit is not provided and we needed to hunt someone down who could provide some for us, but it was worth organising before we arrived as this really made the visit special! The little private pier made it easy to launch kayaks from and explore the waterways. Ducks and a black swan visited. The courtyard child proof fenced, so safe for little ones, but a great space for the adults to enjoy of an evening. We went as a group of 6 (sisters, cousins and best mate) and had a wonderful time exploring the area and this was a wonderful base to do it from! The house had fully ducted air-conditioning which made it comfortable and cosy of an evening (we went in winter). The games made available on the side board near the laundry where a great addition.
Really happy we came across it and would definitely go back! I had not inclination that the house was in a group of very closely built homes in a private driveway. The map shows it when no building had started, so if you are not expecting very close neighbours then it is a surprise as the photos online don't give this perspective either.
The largest pot in the kitchen handles' are hanging on by a thread and we didn't have a screwdriver to fix it, so dangerous. A much larger pot with safe handles would have been good.
There was not nearly enough toilet paper made available for 6 people over a 3.5 day visit, so bring or buy extra toilet paper at the IGA.
We arrived late on a Friday afternoon and it was quiet over the weekend, but the builder arrived and started working on the house being completed next door on the Monday morning. I'm not sure what the "building" noise level would be like and the start and end time during a weekday and may be worth checking.
If you can't do stairs, then this is NOT the house for you! The stairs to the bedrooms are quite a climb and there is no bedroom downstairs.
Everything was near perfect and these are "just being picky" awareness points.
