Guest Reviews
- Roman (8/5): Good, clean apartment with good local facilities and transport connections, which suited my requirements well. - For me it was very well located close to my family in Rome, to the east of the city. Easy to get into the centre of Rome by Metro, tram or bus. It’s a good size, very clean, safe and quiet. Lots of small bars, cafes, food and supermarket places. There’s a lot of kitchen units, but not a lot in them, which was fine for me, but anyone self-catering may want a few more things. Big fridge. Nice bathroom. Air conditioning units when needed, but the temperature was mild when I was there.
The polite owner was on hand if I needed anything. For me no big deal, but access is through the main door, up and down a few steps, out across a small courtyard and then in to take the staircase with almost 60 steps to the third floor, no lift. Good exercise, but just flagging it up if it may be too much for someone.
There is no relaxing furniture - the kitchen is large with a small dining table, a small coffee table with pod coffee maker and 4 hard chairs. The bedroom is also large with only a small metal framed clothes hanger with fabric cover and an antique sideboard, which looks nice but not really for clothes storage. The bed is actually a sofa bed, so if it’s left open, there’s no comfy sofa to relax in. The bedsheet felt a bit rough, like it had been washed many times, but clean.
If you’re coming from the UK, the mains adaptor I had only fitted the extension lead block on the coffee table. The 2 pins of the adaptor were too thick for all the other wall sockets, so something to be aware of.
