Guest Reviews
- Colin (9/5): -
- Brian (9/5): Very comfy - Easy access and well located. Cosy.
- Andrew (10/5): Comfortable, clean and great location. - Very well fitted out, spotlessly clean. Great to have a nice sized kitchen and a lounge suite, bathroom shower/spa was excellent. Main bed very comfy. Breakfast provisions were very good with a choice of quality items and juice and fresh milk. Location suited us it is very central. Hard to fault, so I won't.
- Christian (10/5): House with soul in Bendigo - Excellent place to stay in Bendigo. The owner was so nice to rent us two electric bikes, so we did a lovely trip to the biggest buddhist stupa in the western world. We enjoied our stay in this cosy house with soul very much and whenever coming back to Bendigo again, for sure we would like to stay again here instead of staying in a "cold" concrete bunker. There was nothing which could have been better for me.
- Mark (10/5): Ideal for a family like ours that needed clean and modern facilities in an excellent location. - I liked the fact that this is a very well presented, and maintained property. Clearly the hosts care about the property and ensure that the guests have access to facilities and little extras that made our stay wonderful. We did not want to leave and we really are looking forward to a trip to Bendigo next time and hope the property will be available for us to stay! We loved everything about this property!
- Leanne (10/5): -
- Clare (10/5): Private cottage in a great location - We loved our time here! Very welcoming and friendly service. Quaint cottage with easy access to main road, but still felt very private. Nice decor, clean, comfy bed and huge spa bath. Good location for walking to town. Parking and internal laundry are huge bonuses!
- Robyn (10/5): Would definitely stay again. - Clean, comfortable, personal touches, breakfasts, hot cross buns & Easter eggs very thoughtful. Hosts answered my calls emails. Actually can’t fault anything.
- Claire (10/5): Friendly, neat and tidy cottage. Great for weekend in Bendigo. - Great facilities. Close to everything in Bendigo. Receptive hosts.
- Green2402 (9/5): -
- kim (8/5): - Good location, secluded court yard, parking out the front and back No fan in the main room - was rather warm night.
- Anita (8/5): great time. great location. - location n/a
- Claire (8/5): Lovely comfortable cottage close to all Bendigo amenities - Perfect location opposite athletics track for our stay. Clean. Good communication. Nice bathroom and kitchen facilities. Need a variety of pillows to select from. Breakfast could include bread and condiments.
- Jan (8/5): Lovely clean comfortable house and great location but traffic noise is a bit obtrusive. - Great location, lovely house, clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Having two sets of keys made it easy to do things independently. Traffic noise was quite noticeable, especially in the front bedroom. We weren’t able to control the temperature of the water in the shower.
- Simone (8/5): Fabulous stay in central Bendigo but close enough to visit Lake Weroona and Rosalind gardens. - Beautiful cottage central to Bendigo CBD.
Very comfortable, with lovely touches and everything you need to enjoy a meal in. Parking provided at rear, a little tight but improved with practice 😊
- David (10/5): I just had an overnight stay in this delightful little cotttage. - It is a comfortable little cottage. Even though it is on a main road, it is very secluded and private with a lot of greenery sheltering the front veranda and a pretty private courtyard at the back. Can't think of anything.
- Miriam (10/5): Great little place. - Neat little property, perfect for our stay. Air con and could sleep 4 people. Parking out front and back.
- Geoff Newman (10/5): -
- Greg (8/5): - Comfortable, position was great for us being so close to the hospital, nice feel about property No complaints
- Richard (10/5): Most enjoyable looking forward to staying again in the future. - Beautiful and clean with the right touch Was all excellent
- John (8/5): - Excellent location across the road from the park and a short and easy walk to the centre of town. Front bedroom experienced a lot of noise from the road.
- Judy (8/5): -

- Couzygirl (9/5): We had a great 4 night stay. Would recommend. - Clean, tidy and located close to the city. Beds were comfortable. Has a lovely private backyard area so I was able to sit outside under cover. Close to a local Hotel for meals. East to use plantation shutters. Having to keep the front door shut due to the traffic noise from the main road and the very tight off road parking area. The shower over the spa bath could cause problems for people with disabilities and mobility issues. Cooking pots were in very bad condition so used my own. Very dark inside - would benefit from having a solar tube installed.
- Henderson (10/5): - Great little place, just what we needed and suited perfectly. N/A, everything was great. Will use again if possible
- Christopher (10/5): We stayed in Bendigo to cycle the rail trail. The Cottage was perfect for this. It was clearly well maintained and lovin - Easy walk into Bendigo CBD centre via parklands opposite. Undercover and secure parking plus private courtyard. All facilities were clean and in very good condition. Three pubs nearby (6-8 mins walk) all serving meals. Nothing really, it was a beautiful two-bedroom semi and much better booking a motel room
- Melissa (10/5): The perfect place when we needed it most. - We were so fortunate to find Barnard Street Cottage when my father was in the ICU at the local hospital.
We could walk to and fro and when we returned to the cottage we had a home with comfy beds and living areas. So much more personal than a hotel room.
I was able to have my partner and my mother with me.
Do not hesitate if you have a loved one at the hospital.
And it’s a gorgeous place if you are exploring Bendigo. Fabulous location, with parking and everything you need in the home. na - all wonderful

- Andrea (10/5): A complete joy, hosts so responsive, a perfect place, will return!! - I loved the appropriate location for a hospital visit. The feel of history and the feeling oh so comfortable! Like it was meant for my Boy and I! Not much at all, um we didn’t stay longer!!
- Leanne (10/5): Cozy, comfortable and in a great location! - The cottage was clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable, the pantry was stocked with breakfast foods and there was fresh milk in the fridge. Location was great, it was walking distance to the Art Gallery and the CBD. We were able to park out the front on the street or in the dedicated car port out the back. The split system heater kept the place toasty warm and there were electric blankets on the bed. We all had a great stay and we will be back.

- Shannon (8/5): Pets allowed or not?? Confusing. - Nice premises as expected however we booked it being pet friendly and arrived with no pets allowed policy on the table. Its clearly marked pets allowed on Booking.com. Made me feel like me pet was not welcome.
- Peter (7/5): Pleasant and reasonably comfortable. - Very clean. Good amenities. Even though it was for two nights over Easter I think the cost is a little excessive.
- Ingrid (8/5): Very good - Close proximity to tennis centre and city.
Cottage was very clean . Spa bath was nice. Breakfast provisions good. Had everything you need in the kitchen. Noise of the dog out the back.
Noise of the main road at night.

- David (9/5): Superb - Nice little cottage good facilities great shower and beautiful soft towels Parking a little tight cottage 110 with a landcruiser but out the front easy
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Immaculate cottage. Beautifully presented. Close to town restaurants, pubs, etc. Owners are very obliging and helpful. There was a bit of traffic noise from the main road, but that quietened down at night, so no big problem . Quite bijou, so not a lot of space, but this was part of the charm.
- Allison (8/5): Convenient & close to city centre - Close to city centre and a lovely walk in through gardens to arts and eats! Clean & had everything we needed. The main road was noisy at times - our fault for not checking!
- Beth (10/5): We loved our week in the cottage. Great family holiday. - Excellent location, perfect for a family, it had everything with needed even breakfast.
Great hosts and communication. We will definitely go back so much to do in Bendigo. We loved it, nothing we didn’t like.
- Sharma (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (8/5): Close to town & great for going to Ulumburra theatre. Owners very accommodating & place very clean. - It had 2 separate rooms & a large bathroom
A cot & highchair were available
Communication with owner was excellent The back door didn’t lock.
The designated parking was very tight for a 4WD so we ended up parking on the street.
The traffic was a bit noisy early in the morning.
The main bedroom was very tight so couldn’t have cot in there.

- Drage (9/5): Lovely cottage for hospital access - The location near the hospital was great for us. The cottage was lovely and the provision of breakfast item's was an added bonus. The owners gave great restaurant advice and directions for the parking. The shower is over a spa bath which was tricky for my elderly mum.
