Guest Reviews
- Zydrunas (6/5): +- - One very good thing is that the air conditioners work perfectly. There were four of us staying. The beds and other furniture are old, but we were there during the peak of the summer heat, so we didn’t stay indoors much. There are plenty of shops and cafes nearby, and the sea is also within walking distance – not far at all. The neighbors are great – you won’t hear a thing! Peace and quiet guaranteed.
Otherwise, the apartment was clean, and the staff were really nice. The only thing missing was an oven. However, the most annoying thing was that there’s an electricity usage limit. If you exceed it – you have to pay extra. I’ve been booking holidays through Booking.com for 10 years, and I’ve never encountered this before. When the apartment agent asked me to send a photo of the electricity meter, I didn’t suspect anything. But when she said she would check with the owner to see if we owe anything for electricity, I thought she must be joking. She sent me some kind of PDF file from Booking.com claiming it was mentioned in the rental terms. I reviewed all the apartment policies – there was no such file.
Luckily, we didn’t exceed the limit, otherwise a legal dispute would definitely have started. It would be better to just increase the rental price slightly for everyone and not ask for an electricity meter photo on the last day of vacation, suggesting you might still owe them money. Or, they could clearly inform people in all apartment descriptions that electricity is not included in the price. I think 99% would refuse right away.

- Ewa (5/5): Spacious flat and great location - Location is great and the property is spacious which was ideal for us as a family of 4 with a toddler. We have been welcomed with a bottle of wine, some crisps and bottled water. Lady who looks after the flat and gave as keys is very nice. The smell coming out of bathroom was horrible….
Boiler was leaking and no one informed us about this fact and that we should keep and eye on the plastic box underneath to avoid leaks. Only found out about it when it started leaking onto the kitchen worktops.
On out 5th day (stayed for a week) we have been informed that there is a electricity consumption limit and if we will go over it we will be charged . Excuse me ?
- Penny (4/5): Disappointing - The location was great
The building was clean, tidy with a well maintained lift and communal areas
The size and general presentation of the apartment was good
There was a welcome pack of coffee and wine and crisps
The keyholder was very accommodating. We were later than agreed and she didn't mind rearranging There were several problems at the apartment, none of which were our fault however the owner was extremely rude and unfriendly. Problems disrupted our week-long holiday by 5 days. We were shown very poor customer service at times which was very upsetting.
Problems included
* leaking tap so severe that one day the whole worktop was flooded
*loose tiles in the shower tray actually floating around
*unable to lock the windows so had to leave the external blinds down to prevent our toddler being in danger
*loss of electricity - the electric 'blew' whilst I was using the hob to cook food. We went to the breakers and turned the fuse box back on. Unfortunately part of the system did not come back on including the WiFi,TV and air con and the main lighting. We contacted the caretaker for assistance who talked us through on the phone some tests which we carried out. This didn't resolve the issue,we requested an electrician be called. The owner then became involved and was quite rude and unhelpful going over the same checks and refusing to get an electrician.. suggesting that we had dropped water in the power strip and on and on. The next day we were told that the caretaker would come around and we should wait in...again. she arrived with a replacement power strip(?) We explained again that it was the consumer unit. She left us the small length of power strip and asked us to run the cable from a working plug through to the living area to get the WiFi and TV working at least. The lead had to be extended with a further 2 power strip was the owner sent an extremely rude message confirming that "he was in charge of the apartment and not my husband" and accusing my husband of being aggressive towards the caretaker which obviously wasn't true, possibly a language barrier) and letting me know that no further help would be given!!!
