Guest Reviews
- PraguePenguin (9/5): Fantastic stay in Dimboola - Great location well furnished - great bath, well equipped kitchenette Add a stovetop would be great
- Jane Cameron (10/5): -
- Barbara (8/5): - Homely feel The bathroom could be brighter
- Mark (8/5): -
- Sieglinde (8/5): -
- Bruce (9/5): Quirky 2nd floor apartment - Great value, clean and a bit quirky. Host very helpful and accommodating and recommended local pub for dinner. Well set up for a longer stay but we only had a night. Stairs not great with suitcases so we just took up what we needed.
- Ellie (8/5): - I was pleased to be in accommodation that was safe, comfortable, had its own character and was a handy place to stop overnight half way between Geelong and Adelaide. I appreciated being informed prior to leaving home that I would need to climb external stairs to reach the apartment, and that it would therefore be easier to use a bag instead of a suitcase. Could I suggest a rubber slip mat in the bath. The information did say that the shower was in the bath, so I knew this beforehand, but I still felt the need to take special care. The rail helped of course.
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Kathryn Moloney (10/5): So much character and is so clean and comfortable - Everything was good for us! Loved the character, really comfortable beds and is a great halfway point between Melbourne and Adelaide.
- Felicity (10/5): Loved it. Super comfy beds. Charming apartment just like the town of Dimboola. - Willery guesthouse was a delight. The old bank has been restored to create a gorgeous apartment while maintaining it original charm. Super comfy beds. A great location walking distance to all Dimboola had to offer - such a gorgeous town. A great stop over on our way to the Barossa Valley. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back! Thanks Helena.
- Tim (10/5): Perfect stay for our short stopover - Helpfulness of the owner. Feel of the building and apartment. Nil
- Colleen (8/5): Lovely! - Quirky historic building with plenty of space The entrance wasn’t clear (parking and gate)
Access is up steep stairs
- Karen (5/5): -
- Robin (10/5): Charming - Old world charm , nice and neat and close to shops on foot Older people may not like the stairs at the rear of the unit to get to
- Richard (9/5): Beautiful quaint boutique - Incredible character in this space. It's not polished, modern or perfect instead it is wonderfully aged. I loved it. It's upstairs and through a tiny gate, so luggage can be a little challenge.
- Clive (7/5): A bit old and worn out, but WYSIWYG. Not complaining. - The location in an interesting town. Helena was a very pleasant and helpful host. It’s an old place that has not had any renovations for sixty years, by the look of things. The shower was narrow and hard to manoeuvre in, even for people of modest dimensions like us.
- Nick (8/5): Comfortable, private and great value for money 1 bdr apartment in central location, very close to popular Dimboola Pub a - Quirky safari styled and spacious top floor apartment in a solid old building. Loved the central location and being a short stroll to the historic and friendly local pub. -
- Sanam (9/5): -
- mark (9/5): A short but very pleasant stay. - The location was really good and the property was bigger than we thought. Very comfortable bed and sofa. It was very clean. The hostess was very friendly and helpful with tips for places to eat . We thought the era decor was charming and cosy. The lighting in the lounge was a bit dim and hard to read by but that was the only thing .
- Heather (9/5): Perfect blend of history and comfort - Lpts of character, lots of comfort
- Hinkley (7/5): -
- Emma (10/5): -
- hilary (9/5): Exactly what we needed! - We loved the old building with all the art and quaintness. Old fashioned and gorgeous
- Gabrielle (10/5): Welcoming host & great for an overnight stay - We had a very comfortable stay on our way to Melbourne. The upper floor apartment was very well equipped, quiet & spacious for the 2 of us. The bed was comfy & we appreciated the bed room fans & the aircon in the lounge that had been left on for us. Loved the quirky African theme! Nothing - it was all as expected. We knew there were narrow stairs to get to the apartment & that the shower was over the bath
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Lorna (8/5): Perfect overnight stopover between Adelaide and Melbourne - It was a character filled apartment full of interesting artworks. Such a joy to stay here! From the moment we went through the little gate and climbed the stairs it was like our own private home for the night. Nothing of note - we didn’t have any problems
- Laurel Harrison (7/5): Great resting place. - Helena's Willery was welcome resting place after a long drive. It's funky decor and comfortable bed were super. It was close the Dimboola pub for a beer and a feed. Magic.
- Miggles (10/5): Very comfortable and adequate for our needs. - The location is very convenient, Ginge the cat was a great welcoming host. Helena is lovely and I loved the stuffed animals and 'safari vibe' throughout. The apartment was clean and welcoming. Nothing comes to mind.

- simon (9/5): Very relaxing and comfortable break while on the road - In addition to the unique touch of the appartement (art and arrangement), the warmth, size, confort and equipment were above my expectations! Can’t think of anything that I would have change….
If anything, some fresh tea bags to replace the outfreshed offered!
- Judy (10/5): It was lovely to stay in an historic building, very close to the river and the town. - No breakfast was supplied, but we didn't need it/expect it. We loved that we could bring our dog inside. We met Helena the next morning, and she was friendly, thoughtful and courteous. The teabags! Would recommend a change in brand (perhaps Tetleys). Would have liked a stove/oven (but my fault, I didn't check when booking that there wasn't one).
- Simone (9/5): Exceptional. - A cosy, beautiful, retreat. It feels like a luxurious warm hug staying at Willery.
- Ian (7/5): A lovely spot for an overnight stay - The location was very central, but it is in a small town. There was plenty of room with a small kitchen, large living area, nice sized bedroom, a bathroom and a separate toilet

- Ruth (8/5): - The single bed is truly too small for an adult as its a toddler bed, we were lucky one of us has a very slight build so could fit in this bed.
This bed also has no electric blanket.
- Jani (10/5): -
- Suzanne (8/5): A very pleasant one-night stay. - Lovely old property, which has been beautifully furnished by the owner - an African theme, with impressive attention to detail. The electrical outlets in the kitchen - were worried about getting an unwelcome “charge”.

Pet friendly. Nil.
- Simone (9/5): A comfortable and unique place to stay in Dimboola. - The location of this quaint guesthouse was excellent, being very close to the main street of Dimboola. The guesthouse was full of character and charm with much thought put into its appearance. Although I didn't meet the host, I appreciated that she left the heater on for me so it was toasty warm upon arrival. I'd definitely stay again. This guesthouse would be difficult for people with mobility issues due to the stairs and step-in bath/shower.
