• Julia (10/5): Eine Oase im Dschungel abseits vom Trubel - Wir haben uns in der Fauna Lodge rundum wohl gefühlt. Der Service ist schon besonders. Wir waren mit Freunden hier und hatten das Glück, die einzigen Gäste zu sein, so dass wir Pool und Restaurant quasi für uns hatten. Anthony war ständig für uns da, hat uns mit Getränken an Pool und Bar sowie dem sehr leckeren Abendessen versorgt und uns viel über Natur und Umgebung erzählt - super Service und sehr sympathisch! Die Köchinnen für Frühstück und Abendessen waren auch unheimlich nett und alles war lecker. Die Zimmer sind sauber und wenn man Zeit hat, sollte man sich einfach mal auf den Balkon mitten im Regenwald setzen - der Sound ist unglaublich und die Sichtung von Affen oder Aras ein Highlight. Die Touren unbedingt über TopTrails Corcovado wahrnehmen - man bekommt ein Rundum-Sorglos-Paket incl. Abholung und tollen Guides. Die 2 Nächte dort waren die teuersten, die wir uns auf unserer Rundreise gegönnt haben, aber Bahia Drake ist halt etwas teurer als andere Gegenden. 4x4 ist ein Muss und stellenweise war die Anfahrt auch damit noch abenteuerlich. Trotzdem: absolute Empfehlung.
• Marvin (10/5): - Einfach Perfekt. Traumhafte Unterkunft mitten im Dschungel. Ebenso hatten wir eine abenteuerliche 20km Wanderung durch den Nationalpark mit Top Trails Corcovado. Wenn Nationalpark Corcovado, dann nur mit Top Trails + Fauna Lodge.
• Robert (10/5): We hebben het heerlijk naar onze zin gehad bij Fauna Lodge - Het is proper, modern, goed verzorgd, heel vriendelijk personeel. Mogelijkheid tot eten daar (diner en zelfs 1x lunch omdat we nergens heen gingen die dag) én het eten was iedere keer erg lekker. Van daaruit een boeiende dagtocht gemaakt naar Corcovado én last minute aangemeld voor een Nightwalk die ook zeer de moeite waard was. Alles top geregeld! Helemaal niks te melden!

• José Miguel (10/5): - Absolutamente todo, ha sido el mejor alojamiento en todo nuestro viaje sin dudas. La ubicación es increíble, las instalaciones muy cuidadas y limpias, decorado con muy buen gusto, y el lugar es precioso. Tanto el desayuno como las cenas muy ricos, y el trato de todo el equipo te hace sentir como en casa, mención especial a Anthony que además de preparar unos guaracocos muy ricos nos explicó muchísimas cosas sobre el país y la fauna. Hicimos también un par de las actividades que ofrecían y todo genial.

• Hannah (8/5): Eine schöne Unterkunft. - + moderne und saubere Zimmer + guter Service: man wird per Taxi an den Strand gebracht, von wo aus die Touren starten + freundliches und aufmerksames Personal + super Kommunikation im Vorhinein mit dem Personal + schöne Anlage - die Klimaanlage konnte nicht vom Bett aus gesteuert werden: man musste dafür immer aufstehen - es ist zu beachten, dass die Familie ebenfalls in der Anlage wohnt, dort mit den Gästen isst und die Kinder im Pool spielen (muss nicht für jeden negativ sein, aber es kann etwas lauter werden, wenn man am Pool entspannen möchte)

• Falk (10/5): Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in einer idyllischen Lage. - Sehr gutes regionales Frühstück. Die Lage der Fauna Lodge ist phantastisch. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer wäre von Vorteil. Ansonsten gibt es keine Beanstandungen.
• Jonathan (10/5): Lovely, modern, friendly lodges nestled in the jungle - A gorgeous find in the jungle! We had the best couple of days here. The lodges are well equipped with comfortable beds with views into the jungle. A fabulous pool area with a pool bar. But what really makes this place stand out is the lovely staff. They are so accommodating and friendly. And the food they cooked for us was so tasty yet healthy. The transfer service was also great. We had a fab driver who also spoke really good English so nice to be able to have a conversation as sadly our Spanish is lacking. Worth every penny. So sorry to leave. Nothing

• Sabrina (10/5): 10/10 AMAZING ❤️ - Wauw. Bare wauw. Fauna Lodge er en perle. Vi vågnede til lyden af brøleaberne i junglen og til skøn morgenmad. Et lille, smukt og intimt sted. Midt ude i hvad der føles som ingenting. Vi nød virkelig vores ophold her og det skyldes i særdeles også den søde bartender Emanuel, som var så opmærksom på os og lavede de bedste drinks som vi nød ved poolen! Det største tak skal lyde til Margaux! Tak for din hjælpsomhed, åbenhed og bare for at være dig. Din glæde og humør smitter af på folk omkring dig! Tak ❤️ Vi kommer meget gerne igen og kan uden tvivl sige, at det serviceniveau som der er på Fauna Lodge var det bedste vi har mødt på vores Costa Rica rejse. Tak ❤️ Fauna Lodge ligger afsides og grundet vejene, tager det bare noget tid at komme ind til byen i Drake Bay. Heldigvis har Fauna Lodge alt du skal bruge!
• Joost (10/5): Great 3 nights - Great Stay with wildlife all around (tons of birds and also saw spidermonkeys from our balcony). After some confussion about our booking, Margaux made sure everything worked out in the end. We also recommend the trips they offer.
• Susana (3/5): - La ubicación es muy buena y la limpieza y confort de la habitación. Margot, la persona que trabaja alli, se preocupó de todo en todo momento. El primer día no teníamos agua caliente porque se acabara el gas, no lo habían revisado y otra cosa que no nos gustó, es que aunque dicen en la descripción que la terraza, el bar y la piscina es para el disfrute de los clientes esto no es del todo cierto, ya que el sábado la dueña ocupó la piscina y la zona de sofás del bar con sus amigas toda la tarde desde las cinco que llegamos al alojamiento y a las diez aún seguían alli: El día que reservamos para cenar alli, su sistema es un poco especial porque preguntan si tienes alguna restricción y ellos elaboran el menú como quieren sin darte más opciones. Cuando fuimos a cenar un chico de la mesa de al lado le dijo que había pedido pescado, en inglés. Entre ellos empezaron a hablar en español, diciendo que no lo habían comprado y que le dijeran que no había. Sin pedirle disculpas ni nada le dijeron que no había pescado, que tenía como opciones la carne o vegetales. Con el postre otro número, hicieron arroz con leche y cuando les pedí la canela la cocinera le dijo al compañero que la buscase que ella la estuviera buscando para hacer el postre pero no la había encontrado. No había canela. La pregunta es: cómo haces un postre sino tienes todos los ingredientes?? Que no te den a elegir distintas opciones y que si pides algo no lo hagan no me parece correcto, ya que cenar a un precio de 20$ por persona es casi obligado porque aunque la ubicación es buena porque estás en el medio de la naturaleza, no tienes ningún restaurante y coger el coche de noche es peligroso por el estado de la carretera
• Beaulieu (5/5): - Le lieu est neuf, propre et dans un environnement magnifique. Il est même possible d'observer des singes et différents oiseaux à partir du petit balcon adjacent à la chambre. Belle piscine propre et avec un bel aménagement. La nourriture est excellente, notamment pour les repas du soir, ce qui s'avère pratique car l'hébergement est loin de la restauration. Nous avons été agressé verbalement par un autre client et nous avons l'impression que l'hôte n'a pas considéré la situation avec sérieux. De plus, quand est arrivé le moment de payer, il y a eu de la confusion. On nous demandait de payer une seconde fois les taxes du pays qui étaient déjà incluses dans le prix. Nous avons été contraints de faire intervenir Booking auprès des propriétaires qui ont confirmé que nous avions raison et qui ont exigé que l'établissement respecte le montant convenu lors de la réservation. Outre la femme de ménage et la cuisinière, le personnel ne suscite pas la confiance.
• Ellen (9/5): Aanrader als je een goede auto hebt. - Prachtige kleine lodge op 20 minuten rijden van Drake. Midden in het regenwoud. Vriendelijk personeel, mooie kamers en Het eten kon echt beter. Het was, in vergelijking met alle andere plekken, tamelijk saai en weinig creatief.

• Carlos (10/5): Increíble - Este es el mejor hotel en el que hemos estado en Costa Rica. Las habitaciones son increíbles y el equipo una pequeña familia que te hacen sentir como en casa. Muy recomendables los tours por Corcovado.

• Miranda (10/5): Geweldige lodge met een topteam van mensen - Een heerlijke plek om Corcovado N.P. te ontdekken. De lodge ligt afgelegen maar dat is geen enkel probleem. Bij geboekte excursies wordt je door de gastheer zelf persoonlijk naar Drake gebracht. Wij hebben via de lodge ook excursie geregeld en dat was werkelijk uit de kunst. Een wilderness hike door Corcovado N.P. en de volgende dag een snorkel toer met Yemanya naar Isla Canô. Beiden zeer aan te bevelen en de snorkeldag was dankzij Yock en Brandon de beste die we ooit gehad hebben. Wat een enthousiast team! Na een dag excursie is het heel fijn terugkomen en staat Orlando voor je klaar. Alles kan en alles is mogelijk. Wat een fantastische gastheer en altijd in voor een grap. Wij hebben ‘s avonds ook gebruik gemaakt van het diner en dat was heerlijk! Toen ik Orlando vertelde dat arroz con leche mijn favoriete dessert in CR was, stond er ‘s avonds arroz con leche op het menu. Vanuit je kamer op het balkon apen kijken, of bij het zwembad de kikkers of ara’s zien. Ik kan niet anders zeggen dat we genoten hebben en ik iedereen deze locatie in het mooie Drake kan aanbevelen. Dank aan het topteam hebben wij hier een geweldige tijd gehad. Niets
• Oliver (10/5): - Schöne exzellente Lodge mitten im Dschungel mit allen Annehmlichkeiten (Pool) die man nach einem anstrengenden Tag braucht. Wir haben an der Lodge an einer Nachtwanderung teilgenommen und viele Frösche , Spinnen und sogar 2 Schlangen gesehen. Beim Frühstück konnte man aus verschiedenen Sachen sein Frühstück auswählen und Abendessen wurde auch angeboten damit man nicht nochmal nach Drake Bay fahren muss . Fahrzeit ca 25 min Schotterpiste. Auch ein großes Lob an Orlando und alle anderen Angestellten sie haben unseren Aufenthalt zu einem besonderen Erlebnis werden lassen an diesem wunderschönen Ort. Wir kommen gerne nochmals zurück wenn wir in Costa Rica sind.
• Katrin Louise (10/5): Jederzeit wieder :) - Die Unterkunft ist ein absoluter Traum! Wir wären gerne länger geblieben und alleine wegen Orlando würden wir jedes Mal wieder herkommen. Sein Service, die Freundlichkeit und sein herzliches Wesen machte die Zeit zu etwas besonderem! Das Zimmer und die Anlage ist sehr modern, gepflegt und sauber - der Ausblick im Zimmer nach draußen in den Wald ist magisch und der Pool lädt zum nichts tun und genießen ein. Das Abendessen und Frühstück ist sehr empfehlenswert - nochmal großes Lob an die lieben Köchinnen :) Die angebotenen Touren, speziell auch die Nachttour, hat super viel Spaß gemacht. Mila der kleine Labrador hat den Aufenthalt nochmal perfekt abgerundet. Der Weg dorthin ist der bislang abenteuerlichste in Costa Rica gewesen. Ohne 4x4 Auto braucht man es erst gar nicht versuchen - dann lieber mit einem Shuttle hinkommen. Für 76km brauchten wir am Ende 2 Stunden 😂 Und es gibt keinen ATM in Drake Bay!! Das wurde uns leider erst gesagt als wir schon dort waren.
• Steve (10/5): A wonderful lodge in Drake Bay. - The lodge is quite new and we found the rooms clean and well appointed. The location is great for those wanting to be nestled in the jungle. The breakfasts and dinners were varied and delicious. The homemade bread was wonderful. Most importantly, the staff were warm , welcoming, and fun. Thank you Annie, Anita and Orlando (the self professed “skinny, handsome one”).
• HLV1989 (9/5): Very comfortable accommodation, beautiful surroundings and friendliest staff - Staff were very friendly, many thanks to Orlando who made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. Beautiful garden area with a nice pool. As you lay on the pool bed you see the macaws and monkeys cross in the trees and sky. Room was a bit damp, although I don't think they could've done anything about it as we were in the heart of rainy season.
• Maren (10/5): Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft, die wir definitiv empfehlen - Unser Aufenthalt hier war außergewöhnlich schön! Wir haben uns sofort willkommen und wie zuhause gefühlt. Die Lage mitten in Dschungel ist etwas ganz besonderes. Wir haben vom Pool aus Affen und Aras beobachtet. Aber was diese Unterkunft wirklich ausmacht, ist das Personal. Orlando ist der perfekte Gastgeber - immer hilfsbereit, freundlich und für einen Spaß zu haben. Auch das Frühstück und Abendessen war sehr lecker und wenn wir einen Shuttle benötigt haben, wurde sich selbstverständlich darum gekümmert. Auch die Touren mit Top Trails können wir sehr empfehlen. Wir wollten am liebsten gar nicht mehr abreisen und würden diese Unterkunft definitiv empfehlen.
• N (10/5): Fantastisch verblijf, kan het iedereen aanraden - Zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Nieuwe accomodaties, comfortabel bed Ligt afgelegen van het centrum, echter er werd altijd vanuit de accommodatie vervoer en pick-up aangeboden.
• Friederike (10/5): - Carlos and his staff created a truly beautiful place. Everything is well organised, at any time you have a WhatsApp contact to assist you and at the lodge you are well taken care of by Orlando, who is very kind and helpful. Plan to have dinner at Fauna Lodge! It’s delicious and comes with a special little dessert each time. The location of Fauna lodge is remote (which goes along with peace and quiet), but doesn’t cause any trouble: you can have meals at the lodge and they organised the transportation in case you came by boat and don’t have your car around.

Nice touches eg umbrellas and welly boots for night walk. Friendly and knowledgeable owners. Lovely Alfonso kindly drove us to and from Drake Bay for snorkelling. Great night walk. Great breakfasts and dinners in a lovely setting. Oh and a great pool! Nothing! It is quite far from town just so you know when you book it!

• Milou (10/5): Exceptional - Fauna Lodge Corcovado – A Home in the Jungle What an amazing place! Fauna Lodge is a brand-new accommodation where everything is perfectly taken care of. Alfonso and Anna immediately make you feel at home, allowing you to fully relax. On top of the warm hospitality, the dinner here is an absolute must. After dining here the first two nights, we didn’t have to think twice: we knew we wanted to enjoy the delicious, fresh meals again on the third night. With the sounds of the jungle in the background and relaxing music playing, it’s a truly unique experience. Alfonso and Anna make sure you don’t miss a thing. They think of everything and even provide excellent tips to explore the area more thoroughly. They gave us an incredible alternative route to experience the inland scenery, which turned out to be a highlight in itself! From the moment we booked, the communication was seamless and clear. They also helped us arrange two unforgettable day trips to Corcovado: one from Los Planes to truly immerse ourselves in nature, and another to Sirena for wildlife spotting. Both rangers were incredibly enthusiastic and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. It’s no surprise that we really didn’t want to leave. Fauna Lodge is a dream destination, and we can’t wait to return one day! 🌿

The beautiful rooms are very clean and have serene view into the jungle to spot wildlife directly from your balcony! The amazing staff goes above and beyond and made our stay exceptional with delicious breakfast and dinners, tour transfers, and tips for beaches, hikes and more. - Thank you Alfonso, Anita and Carlos. • Belce (10/5): If you would like to stay in the middle of a jungle, don’t hesitate to stay in there! staying in the jungle. - The owners and also people working there were super friendly and so helpful, especially Alfonso, he was super friendly! The hotel was inside the jungle, we could hear the animal sounds and sleeping with that sound was amazing! They make also very delicious cocktails! Nothing, just we need to leave..

• Kim (10/5): One of our top choices in Costa Rica - Some friends recommended the place to us, without a doubt one of our best lodging choices. Carlos and Laura always attentive to what we needed, with additional attention to the cozy accommodation, makes you feel at home. The breakfast was delicious, with beautiful views of nature and we also try the cocktails before taking a swim, definitely recommend to do that! They also have a tour company and they help us book a tour to visit Corcovado. It was beautiful! Really great tour! Thank you very much and we hope to come back soon !
