• Caroline (10/5): Large comfortable house set in lovely gardens. - Large comfortable house set in lovely garden in quiet location, perfect for family / group visits. Very short drive to Kuranda village markets and attractions. The road up the mountain from Cairns is a bit intimidating the first time you drive it, so aim to arrive in daylight. The only thing I can think of is that a coffee plunger would have been helpful!

• Adele (10/5): I can very highly recommend Botanica House - Location was great, secluded and peaceful, very relaxing but only 5 mins drive to shops and attractions. House was very clean and had everything we needed plus extras. Large grounds very well maintained, the gardens were lovely. The house was roomy with quality furnishings and the host provided a lot of extras in the form of toiletries, washing powder, condiments and snacks. There was nothing I didn’t like
• Kylie-jo (9/5): Perfect location for the 2 days I needed. - Location from the Kuranda Market area is about 5mins. The size of the house, the available utensils. Angela was outstanding with trying to make our stay wonderful. I had decided easier to cook pizza as my stay was quick, Angela went out of her way to go to the shops to find pizza trays, and was happy for us to use baking paper on the oven racks. Thankfully my brother had spare trays. Having a washing machine & dryer was fantastic! The ceiling fans (in May) were enough as there is only AC in the back bedroom. I would NOT say I didn't like it, but for those who have any trouble with their legs (hips/knees) you need to step into one of the bathroom showers, or step down into the back area to use a shower with no step. It is a lower step from the main bedroom to the patio area compared to the main living area to the patio. For those who don't like doing dishes there is no dishwasher. Make sure you know exactly how many people are staying, as I booked for 5 people but sadly only 2 of us stayed. Was not sure if some of the food items eg: violet crumble and chips where from previous clients or welcome items or if we ate them we'd be charged with them.

• Donald (8/5): Solid house in lovely setting near Barron falls and other attractions. - We needed a quick getaway from the coast to escape cyclone Jasper and Angela and the beautiful strong Botanica houses was a fantastic safe choice. When the power went out (as it did all over Cairns) she provided us with candles and we felt safe and secure. The home is lovely, in a botanical setting. The only issue was not the road from Cairns was closed as the wind was dangerous for travellers, but apart from that the location is very scenic and lovely.

Large veranda across the front of the house for relaxing on. Would have like some sort of plastic ware suitable for cooking in the microwave eg a steamer or bowl.
