• Dami (10/5): Exceptional space and location and an excellent host - The apartment was located in a very nice part of the city, no more than 15 minutes walk from many of the attractions and centre. It was clean, spacious and stylish as a bonus! The host, Alex was also excellent. Extremely communicative and welcoming, and happy to provide help where needed. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Bruxelles. I have no complaints.

I informed them about my arrival time but I was still requested to pay the fine!

• Steve (8/5): A Merry Christmas in Brussels - The host Alex was very courteous, informative and spoke perfect English. Apartment and communal kitchen had every facility needed. Perfect location for city centre attractions. Weird experience using a private Toilet accessed by shared staircase. Apartment 3 had no running water to WC basin and Apartment 4 had little heating probably due to air in the radiators. Host was informed.

• David (9/5): Superb - Location and character building . I was upgraded to the duplex but I think my original loft room would have been cosier than down stairs in the inner part of the house. For a solo traveller I didn’t need the space. I didn’t feel I had the choice but ideally shown to the loft room then I could decide .

Located outside of the apartment which made it uncomfortable. -We could hear noise from the street but also other guests walking in their rooms as the building is quite old.

The 10 steps down to the toilet. The address we were given was for their ‘other apartments’ so when walking with luggage wasn’t ideal.

• Tina (7/5): Good - It is a very spacious and clean room with a good bed at a great location. We were welcomed by friendly staff. And the owner gave lots of info about places to eat/ drink in the area. Unfortunately we found it a bit misleading that the rules/ times for the use of the patio (9-21) and kitchen (8-22) only came after we arrived. This meant i could'nt take a coffee or a sigaret before i had to leave for work at 6.30 in the morning because i do respect the rules. My partner was able to take a coffee after 8 o clock.

• Paula (10/5): Fabulous stay and amazing host - Really lovely historic building 5 minutes walk from the centre and plenty of great bars and restaurants nearby. Alex was incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and it was a nice bonus to have a communal kitchen with coffee machine! Alex couldn’t have been more nice and speaks excellent English and provided recommendations for restaurants and bars. A really great stay 👌🏻

• Angela (10/5): We had a brilliant time staying in a beautiful apartment right smack in the center of Brussels! - Alex, our host, was lovely! When he came to greet us the day we arrived, he was timely and cheerful. He even brought his adorable Italian greyhound, Luna, to meet us. He took us through the building and the facilities, giving us careful instructions. He also gave us the option of choosing a room since there were others available at the time. My sense was that we came to visit during the off season as the city was pretty quiet and there weren't other guests until later into our stay. Alex had also filled the fridge with breakfast foods so that we were looked after for the mornings. This was such a nice touch, especially the delicious, fresh made bread. When we needed him, he responded immediately and thoroughly. We also took him up on some of the restaurant suggestions he gave us, and one in particular was AMAZING: A Casa Mia, a delicious, family run Italian restaurant just down the road from the apartment. When we left the restaurant that night, the owner gave us both hugs! Thank you, Alex, for all of your help to make our romantic trip to Brussels comfortable and memorable. There wasn't anything we didn't like. It was a great place to say, and one that I would recommend to others visiting Brussels. The only thing I noticed was that the wifi wasn't always very stable, but that could have been because of the building structure itself. And again, it didn't impact our holiday AT ALL.

It was perfectly located to explore the city, and there were several lovely Christmas markets within a few minutes walk. It was quiet, comfortable, and we appreciated the upgrade by Alex too. And Alex was very friendly and welcoming, quick to respond to messages and super helpful for places to eat and drink too. Great recommendations!

• Dimitrios (10/5): Excellent accommodation in a wonderful city! - Ideally located, a few minutes walk from Grand Place, all the best sights of Brussels are within easy reach, transportation too. Spacious one bedroom apartment with big sitting room , fully equipped, with full size kitchen. Great aesthetics, very clean and comfortable. Excellent hospitality, professionalism and top communication from the manager. The surrounding area has a lot of cafe and seafood restaurants and even a fantastic organic food shop. We hadn’t got a car but as it appeared, parking wouldn’t be an issue. Definitely a 10/10 best value for money in Brussels. Nothing, Everything was fine, thank you

• Gill (7/5): Lovely apart from the toilet and shower! - The apartment itself was lovely - very clean and modern and in a great area - lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The building manager was friendly and efficient, keeping in touch about ETA and giving us recommendations of where to eat. The ensuite did not include a toilet - this was outside the apartment and down a stair - very unexpected - this was not made known in the apartment particulars. Also the shower was very poor - only a trickle of water which ran hot and cold. There was no air-con or fan, which made sleeping difficult, as it was very hot.

• Robert (10/5): Perfect with a small caveat - Excellent location, helpful host that allowed me an early entry as soon as the previous guest have left, I didn't require much but everything was done in few minutes. Room was very comfortable and spacious and the common kitchen had everything one could wish for, like multiple ovens, lots of cutlery and dishes, so if one wants to make a lavish dinner, it's possible (too bad I didn't, but I could :-) ). The room is still authentic town house place, with wooden windows and a fireplace, so just an experience one enjoys in the city center. I'm tolerant to smell, but I imagine a very sensitive person might have a bigger problem with the place. It looks like some older people live in the building, so one can notice a typical smell of a hospice or retirement home in the hallway. Not in the room, but just a heads-up if this could be an issue for you. It's not overwhelming, but noticeable nevertheless. But if that's not an issue for you, the apartment is just perfect.

• Sven (9/5): Superb - Spacious and clean apartment. Great place to stay in a lively area of Brussels. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by. There is also a shared fully equipped kitchen that can be used with other guests. I stayed over a warm week, a fan would have been a plus.
• Frances (9/5): The Fishmarket apartment was just the right place for our 3-night stay in Brussels. - Location was convenient for touring the city but not in the crowded central tourist areas. Secure parking garage adjacent to building. Lovely, spacious apartment and the shared kitchen was modern and very well equipped- great coffee machine! Another added bonus is the TV & viewing options - all channels and easily set for our country/language The couch wasn’t the most comfortable- but we also didn’t spend a lot of time in the apartment and didn’t use it for sleeping.
• Ramon (8/5): Enjoyable stay despite the journey to the loo! - The location was great - easy walk to the centre (Grand Place). Spacious and well furnished apartment, comfortable bed, safe (free), impressive range of TV channels (when working) The shower was en suite but not clear from the description that the toilet was outside the room down a flight of stairs. The description said some rooms have a kitchen - ours didn't. We were on the 3rd floor and the kitchen (very well equipped) was on the ground floor which was a long way to go down several flights of stairs to get a cuppa. Would benefit from tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We got a quick tutorial on how to work the TV, and needed to check one thing while the host was still in the building. We asked for help when we couldn't get the english channels the following day and got a very sharp response reminding us that we'd been shown twice how to use it (strong suggestion that we were being stupid). It turned out that he couldn't get the channels either. So, word of warning, if you're not used to TVs with lots of options, listen carefully to the instructions. Also, if you have mobility issues, would suggest avoiding floors 3 and 4.
• Sarah (8/5): Loved Brussels, great location friendly and safe feeling city - Lovely big apartment, private bathroom, stylish decor, comfortable bed. The kitchen was communal and a floor away, I don’t think this was clear from the description. It didn’t matter but for the price I’d paid I thought I was getting a whole apartment. There were no tea or coffee making facilities at all I. The apartment so you had to go to the kitchen to make a coffee. I think given the size of the apartment they could easily have added a kettle/coffee machine.
• Andras (9/5): Superb location and great value for the money. - The location was exceptional just as our host. The apartment was very well equipped and clean. We especially enjoyed the large mirrors in the bedroom. It was a little bit uncomfortable that the toilet was outside the apartment.
• Kathryn (8/5): Very good - Lovely spacious apartment in great location. Although we didn’t use it, the kitchen was very well appointed & looked great to cook in. The only downside was the noise from other guests going up & down the stairs at all hours. We could also hear them in the apartment directly above us talking & moving around until 4am.

The appartment was really beautiful. No soundproof appartment. The toilet is located outside the appartment in the common hallway. The wifi was very weak. No elevator.

• Igor (8/5): Overall a good option for a short stay. - Friendly and responsive staff. Clear interaction with the host of the premises. Convenient location. Close to the center and main attractions. At the same time, it is a quiet and peaceful place. There are many restaurants and grocery stores nearby. There were no problems with food. The apartment had two spacious rooms with high ceilings and large windows. It was quite clean and tidy. Fast and reliable internet was available. It was obvious that the accommodation was converted from an old house, but this added a special charm. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary equipment for cooking, as well as a variety of dishes and cutlery. 1. The kitchen is located separately from the living room, on the first floor, which is not very convenient for active use, especially if the room itself is on the fourth floor. 2. It was somewhat unexpected and, in my opinion, inconvenient that the toilet is located outside the room, on the stairs. It is even more surprising that there was enough space for it in the bathroom. 3. Also, the lack of an elevator can also make it difficult for people with disabilities or people who are simply not used to loads on their feet, although they are warned about this.
• Andrew (6/5): Pleasant - Boutique apartment near local shops and walking distance to city centre, including the Grande Place, with plenty of restaurants near by. Apartment is spacious and generally very liveable. The kitchen is a common area but well equipped for food preparation and dining. The host Alex was very welcoming, attentive and responsive. It's an older building so access up the stairs could be awkward for some. My apartment was directly over the main front staircase which is wooden so you hear everything, which could be problem if residents are too noisy. Street noise can be quite intrusive but this was only noticeable on weekends. The bed was firm and the pillows not to my liking.
• Gregor (9/5): All in all a comfortable stay in a well located building. - Property was very well located for everything you would want to do or see in Brussels. The host Alex was absolutely brilliant and very helpful. The only down point about the property is that the toilet is out your room and down a flight of stairs (used by everybody coming and going from there rooms) which we found a bit strange and it wasn’t described very well in the advert as if we realised we probably would have chose that room.

Very kind and appreciated. Also the text of recommendations is a lovely touch for people who have never visited before. The tv with access to YouTube and Netflix was an extra bonus to the already stunning room. The room was comfortable, so clean and warm!! Really short walk to the grand palace. Not a problem for us but no lifts for anyone considering booking with a disability.
